     Cesare Stregazza

Cesare Stregazza

The Doge of La Serenissima in Chosen and Avatar.

Tropes applying to Cesare:

  • Antagonistic Offspring: His own son Marco tries to trick him into abdicating his throne so that Marco can become the new Doge of La Serenissima in his place.
  • Marriage to a God: The Doge position comes with a wedding band symbolizing he's now the mortal husband to La Serenissima's patron goddess. This is why he's so upset with abdicating his throne: marriage is supposed to be a lifelong commitment.

     Dominic Stregazza

Dominic Stregazza

A Stregazza who was involved in the poisoning of Isabel L'Envers de la Courcel.

Tropes applying to Dominic:

     Therese de la Courcel Stregazza

Wife of Dominic Stregazza and younger daughter of Prince Benedicte. She conspired with Dominic to murder Isabel L'Envers de la Courcel.

Tropes applying to Therese:

Son of the Doge, Cesare Stregazza.

Tropes applying to Marco:

     Marie-Celeste de la Courcel Stregazza

Wife of Marco Stregazza and elder daughter of Prince Benedicte.

Tropes applying to Marie-Celeste:

     Severio Stregazza

Severio Stregazza

Son of Marco and Marie-Celeste.

Tropes applying to Severio:

     Ricciardo Stregazza

Ricciardo Stregazza

Brother of Marco, and younger son of Cesare Stregazza. He has a strained relationship with Cesare due to his sexuality (i.e. his preference for men). Though appearing at first to be ruthlessly ambitious, all Ricciardo wants is to look after the tradesmen in Sestieri Scholae and ensure that they have their rights. He lives in Villa Gaudio with his wife, Allegra.

Tropes applying to Ricciardo:

     Allegra Stregazza

Allegra Stregazza

Wife of Ricciardo Stregazza. She is looked down upon by Marco and Marie-Celeste due to her lineage and the scandal surrounding Ricciardo, but is content with her lot in life and doesn't care what they think of her. She is surprisingly well-read for a Caerdicci noblewoman and very progressive, agreeing wholly with D'Angeline views on female equality and love. She lives in Villa Gaudio with her husband, Ricciardo.

Tropes applying to Allegra:
