The cast of ''KeroroGunsou'':
-----
[[foldercontrol]]

[[folder:The Keroro Platoon]]
!!Sergeant Keroro
!!!Voiced by: KumikoWatanabe (Japanese) and ToddHaberkorn (English)
"[[AntiHero Our]] [[VillainProtagonist hero]]", a rather hapless [[AlienInvaders Alien Invader]] who spends more time doing chores and goofing off than he spends actually trying to invade. His plans usually take the form of {{Zany Scheme}}s that blow up in his face in [[HilarityEnsues various amusing ways]].

* {{Adorkable}}: In moments when he's genuinely excited about something, he expresses a child-like enthusiasm that is just too cute for words.
* AntiHero - the [[SlidingScaleOfAntiHeroes loser type]], most of the time.
* CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass - Rarely -- ''very rarely'' -- shows signs of this. [[spoiler: In Volume 17, he stops Zoruru dead with a single [[LoomingSilhouetteOfRage shadow-wreathed]] ''[[DeathGlare look]]'' and [[CompellingVoice a stern order]]. Then he does the same thing to a Kiruru unit in Volume 20.]]
** He also kicks a lot of ass in the movies. Notable examples include: [[spoiler: him being turned into a dragon in the fourth movie and proceeding to kick his entire platoon's dragon asses. Note that when he transformed, Keroro, like the rest of his platoon, forgot all about his mission and who he was and while the audience were privy to the other platoon-turned-dragon members thoughts, we do not hear Keroro's at all.]]
** In the third movie, [[spoiler: Keroro engages his evil clone in a mecha duel to protect Fuyuki and holds on his own fairly well before he was downed. After reuniting with Fuyuki and finding Dark Keroro still alive, he angrily runs over and slaps the clone hard enough to send him flying.]]
* ExplosiveOverclocking - Occurs if he manages to get oversaturated with water, briefly unlocking the Keroro From Back Then before he's brutally BroughtDownToNormal again.
* InformedAbility - Supposedly a decorated war veteran, but (almost) never shows any of the competence and bravery you'd expect. A manga chapter eventually explaines why: [[spoiler: Just before his first assignment, powerful aliens attacked and were obliterating Keron's forces. Keroro, unaware of all this, uses a port-a-potty which transforms into a space ship, takes off and single-handedly defeats the enemy, then lands. Completely oblivious to what just happened, he steps out to a hero's welcome and promotion to command of his squad.]]
* ImprobableWeaponUser - In many video games, he draws from his collection of toys and cleaning supplies to help him out--the vacuum is a particular favorite.
* {{Jerkass}}[=/=]JerkWithAHeartOfGold - Wavers back and forth.
* ManChild
* TheNeidermeyer
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: The Funimation dub exaggerates his love of hamburgers (or "cow flesh")
* VerbalTic - Frequently ends his sentences with "...''de arimasu''!"
* VillainProtagonist - Largely a HarmlessVillain, of course.
* WeaksauceWeakness - [[BananaPeel Banana peels]]. He's compelled to step and slip on them.
* {{Otaku}} - Of the Gundam variety but also obsesses over the Admiral Geroro manga, space bikes, and trains, surprisingly enough.
* IdiotHero - Whenever he and his platoon are charged with saving Pekopon from other alien threats and not being the "threat" themselves.

!!Private Tamama
!!!Voiced by: EtsukoKozakura (Japanese) and BrinaPalencia (English)
The team's youngest member, made obvious by the fact he's still got tadpole features. [[{{Kawaiiko}} Despite his cuteness]], he's got a hair-trigger temper, a ''massive'' jealous streak, and likes firing his laser when provoked. Also, he ''[[{{Yandere}} loves]]'' his "Gunsou-san!"

* AllLoveIsUnrequited - Keroro seems [[ObliviousToLove blissfully ignorant]] about his feelings.
* BareFistedMonk - His primary fighting style aside from [[StuffBlowingUp Blowing Stuff Up]].
* BreathWeapon - Tamama IMPACT--!
* BerserkButton
* BewareTheNiceOnes - Heavily. Shoop-da-whoops anyone who dare ticks him off.
* BrutalHonesty - Uses this on Karara to dissuade her crush... though he doesn't ''realize'' that's what he's doing.
* [[ClingyJealousGirl Clingy Jealous Tadpole]] - He really doesn't like anyone else getting too close to his Gunsou-san.
* DeliberatelyCuteChild
* DontYouDarePityMe - Goes through this with Mois a couple times.
* EyeBeams
* FairWeatherMentor - Towards Taruru. Loves the way Taruru strokes his ego, ''hates'' his [[{{Keet}} overwhelming]] [[CheerfulChild cheerfulness]] and [[FearlessFool naivete]].
* {{Fartillery}}
* FeetOfClay - Gradually grows disenchanted with Keroro due to this, especially in the manga.
* GreenEyedMonster
* {{Kawaiiko}} - Deliberately plays up his cute image.
* LoveMakesYouCrazy[=/=][[LoveMakesYouEvil Evil]]
* PingPongNaivete
* TheNicknamer - Calls Momoka "Momochi", Natsumi "Natchi" and Fuyuki, "Fucchi".
* NotAllowedToGrowUp - Possibly [[InvokedTrope Invoked]] when he sees that his childhood friend and fanboy Taruru has [[PlotRelevantAgeUp hit puberty]] ahead of him.
* SweetTooth
* VerbalTic - "''Desu''!"
** Not quite to the extent that [[RozenMaiden Suiseiseki]] takes it, but Tamama does say "desu" quite a bit.
* {{Yandere}} - Far worse than Momoka, as he tends to go straight for the [[MurderTheHypotenuse hypotenuse-chopping]] option when he can.

!!Corporal Giroro
!!!Voiced by: JojiNakata (Japanese) and ChristopherSabat (English)
[[quoteright:259:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Giroro_9852.png]]
Keroro's [[TheLancer Lancer]]. Suspects that he's the only one actually taking the invasion seriously anymore. Hopelessly crushing on Natsumi ever since she beat him up during their first fight.

* BerserkButton - Anything that threatens Natsumi.
* {{BFG}} - His [[WeaponOfChoice Weapons of Choice]].
* BloodKnight
* ButtMonkey - Mainly Kururu's.
* CanNotSpitItOut
* CharmPoint - His belt.
* [[ClingyJealousGirl Clingy Jealous Frog]] - Has his moments. In the manga, became so intensely jealous of Koyuki after she first arrived that he attempted to MurderTheHypotenuse. {{Lampshaded}} by Tamama's gloating thoughts about [[NotSoDifferent finally understanding the Corporal]].
* TheComicallySerious
* [[ExpressiveShirt Expressive Hat]]: The skull on his hat.
* GoodScarsEvilScars - A massive one on his face.
* GratuitousEnglish - Sometimes his battle cries veer into this. Including, at one point: "[[ActorAllusion This!]] [[ThreeHundred Is!]] [[PunctuatedForEmphasis SPARTA!]]"
* GreenEyedMonster - Gets this way over Natsumi from time to time.
* HandCannon - Another favored weapon.
* HeyItsThatVoice - It's hard to see Giroro in the same light when you realize that JojiNakata also voiced [[{{Hellsing}} another red-clad character, who's a hell of a lot more violent and much more effective...]]
** A competent officer who constantly has to put up with a frustratingly WildCard that he can't control. Are we talking about Giroro and Keroro or [[VideoGame/TalesOfTheAbyss Van and Asch]]? Hilariously, this one got lampshaded in the RPG where Giroro got to use Van's [[LimitBreak Ancient Requiem]], as one of his specials.
* HighPressureEmotion - Again, commonly set off by Natsumi. In several instances, just sitting around brooding causes him to emit such an intense heat that the others notice and complain/comment on it.
** HighPressureBlood - Early on in the manga, he also tended to bleed profusely when experiencing such intense emotions. [[{{Squick}} Thankfully]], that particular quirk seems to have fallen by the wayside.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold
* LoveAtFirstPunch
* LoveMakesYouCrazy - [[http://www.mangafox.com/manga/keroro_gunsou/v05/c041/14.html he doesn't seem to be careful about himself...]]
* [[MarsNeedsWomen Giroro Needs Natsumi]]
* MoreDakka
* MurderTheHypotenuse - In the manga, he attempted this on Koyuki right after her introduction.
* PerpetualFrowner
* PetTheDog - Or cat, in this case. Mostly focused around his pet cat and Natsumi. However, he has his moments with Fuyuki, Keroro, and the rest of the platoon.
* PrimalFear - Terrified of ghosts.
* StayInTheKitchen - Part of his tsun-tsun act in the manga involves him making comments along these lines to Natsumi.
* {{Tsundere}}
* {{Tsurime Eyes}} - He ''does'' have noticeably pointy eyes...
* TheWorfEffect

!!Sergeant Major Kururu
!!!Voiced by: TakehitoKoyasu (Japanese) and ChuckHuber (English)
The team's [[TheSmartGuy intelligence officer]]. Incredibly smug and self-satisfied, Kururu is constantly inventing all ''sorts'' of weird stuff, but few of these are actually meant to help the invasion... they're just for his own amusement. Loves giving Keroro just enough rope to hang himself, over and over and over again.

* BrilliantButLazy
* ClarkesThirdLaw
* CreepyMonotone - Excitement makes his voice rise. This makes him even ''creepier''.
* EvilLaugh - ''[[GigglingVillain KU KU KU KU KUUU...!]]''
* FourEyesZeroSoul
* GratuitousEnglish
* HandyRemoteControl - Always seems to have one around.
* HiddenHeartOfGold - More obvious in the manga, where he has several moments showing that for all his {{Jerkass}}ery, he really does care about the rest of his team.
** A notable moment of this in the anime is when he saves fellow [[OddFriendship Wave buddy Saburo]] (spending the month's entire invasion budget in the process) without hesitation.
* HoYay - [[InvokedTrope Deliberately invokes this]] with Giroro in the anime. Whether he's doing this just to screw with his head or out of some ''incredibly'' warped actual ''affection''...
* TheHyena
* InsufferableGenius
* ItAmusedMe[=/=]ForTheEvulz
* {{Jerkass}}
* MadScientist
* NerdGlasses
* OddFriendship - With 'Wavelength Buddy' Mutsumi. They aren't even shown interacting all that much, but they seem to be very buddy-buddy.
* OmnidisciplinaryScientist
* ThePlan- Sometimes he dabbles in these.
* PetTheDog - At times, actually shows signs of ''caring'' for others. One episode involved an actual puppy, complete with Natsumi and Fuyuki freaking out over what he might ''do'' to the poor thing.
** A good example of the anime [[{{Flanderization}} Flanderizing]] his character is their removal of two of his key moments during the Garuru Platoon's introduction: [[spoiler: encouraging Keroro to keep resisting after losing contact with the others]] and [[spoiler: opening a trap door underneath Keroro to ''force'' him to escape while he attempts to hold off Garuru armed with only his headphones]]. By contrast, Anime!Kururu [[spoiler: simply retreats into his HackerCave, letting Keroro think he's abandoned him]].
* ScaryShinyGlasses - If you see him do ''this'', [[OhCrap it's already too late]].
* TheScrappy - In-universe; The Keroro Platoon are huge celebrities on Keron, except for Dororo (who nobody seems to know about) and Kululu (who is actively despised)
* SignatureLaugh - Kukuku...
* SpellMyNameWithAnS - Kururu/Kululu. The English translation of the manga actually switched from Kururu to Kululu around Volume 10 or so, then switched back later on.
* StalkerWithACrush - ''Maybe'' towards Aki.
* TakehitoKoyasu
* TokenEvilTeammate - While they're technically all villains, he ''still'' fits.
* TransformationRay - One of his favorite gadgets to build.
* TricksterMentor - Certainly isn't above manipulating the others into self-improvement.
* {{Troll}}
* WitchDoctor

!!Lance Corporal Dororo, nee Zeroro
!!!Voiced by: TakeshiKusao (Japanese) and JMichaelTatum (English)
The team's token {{Ninja}}. Used to be a [[ShrinkingViolet painfully shy]], [[IllGirl sickly child]], and so clung rather desperately to his friendship with Keroro... something Keroro shamelessly exploited, leaving him traumatized to the point that any reminder of these abuses triggers his [[HeroicBSOD 'Trauma Switch']] and sends him into the nearest [[CornerOfWoe corner]]. Grew up to become an assassin, then got separated from the others on Earth and found acceptance and peace with a group of ninjas, leading to him changing his name and outlook on life.

* ApologisesALot
* BewareTheNiceOnes - That cute little tadpole became an ''assassin''. Then a ''[[InstantAwesomeJustAddNinja ninja]]''.
* BigFancyHouse
* BlueWithShock - [[HeroicBSOD Trauma Switch, on!]]
* BreakTheCutie - PlayedForLaughs
* TheChewToy
* CornerOfWoe
* ExtremeDoormat - [[PoisonousFriend Keroro]] treated him ''horribly'' when they were little, and Zeroro ''still'' stuck by his side. He grew out of this in the manga; sadly, anime!Dororo still gets trampled over regularly.
* FailedASpotCheck - Often on the other end of this, with others forgetting about him or failing to note his presence.
* {{Flanderization}} - In the manga, ''still'' doesn't show up very often, seems to have largely gotten over his childhood issues (though he has his moments), and is typically calm and collected. In the anime...
* HeroicBSOD - Goes into these regularly. Shows up far less often in the manga.
* [[IllGirl Ill Boy]] - As a child, was terribly sickly and always wore a surgical mask.
* IWantMyBelovedToBeHappy - When Koyuki had her [[BroughtDownToNormal ninja skills/memories sealed away]], he was willing to let her live a happy, normal life, even though she could no longer see him.
* LonelyRichKid
* PingPongNaivete - In the anime, he often winds up asking "Keroro, are we really friends...?", yet never actually learns from his past experiences and is easily shocked back into his corner of woe by Keroro's latest transgression.
* PoweredArmor - The H-to-H Assassin suit (which bears more than a passing resemblance to Zoruru's enhancements...)
* MyHeroZero
* MyKungFuIsStrongerThanYours - Dororo having trained as a ninja on Earth gives him a valuable edge against Keron-trained Assassins. Even his former superior Jirara is eventually beaten.
* NewPowersAsThePlotDemands - The manga doesn't [[OutOfFocus spotlight him very often]], so it's not unusual for him to abruptly show up and whip out a new Assassin Art or Ninja Art and [[BigDamnHeroes bail the others out]].
* NoMouth - Always shown wearing a ninja, assassin or medical mask.
* ShrinkingViolet
* [[ShyBlueHairedGirl Shy Blue]] ''[[ShyBlueHairedGirl Skinned]]'' [[ShyBlueHairedGirl Boy]]
* TheQuixote - At least in the anime, where Koyuki is about the only one who sympathizes with his idealism.
* TechnicalPacifist
* TokenGoodTeammate
* TraumaCongaLine - The [[{{Flanderization}} anime]] just ''loves'' [[PlayedForLaughs playing this for laughs]], ''especially'' during [[HilariouslyAbusiveChildhood flashbacks to the frogs' childhood]].
* TheUnfavorite - Thanks to being [[TokenGoodTeammate too nice for his team]], he isn't always popular with his "friends"... assuming they notice/remember him. Extends to his portrayal within Keron Force media (such as being seated behind a plant during a news conference).
* WithFriendsLikeThese
[[/folder]]

[[folder:The Hinatas]]

!!Fuyuki Hinata
!!!Voiced by: TomokoKawakami (Japanese [Eps. 1-231]), HoukoKuwashima (Japanese [Ep. 232 onwards]) and LeahClark (English)
A timid NiceGuy who loves the occult. Very introverted, but he's compassionate and polite, and very inquisitive about the world at its weirdest.

* [[ABoyAndHisX A Boy And His Alien Frog Bent On World Domination]]
* AgentMulder
* BewareTheNiceOnes - When he ''snaps'', all we get to see is his BattleAura and [[HiddenEyes shadowed eyes]] -- never what he actually ''does''.
** Whatever it is, it's apparently in-universe NightmareFuel -- even ''Natsumi'' is absolutely terrified of pushing Fuyuki too far, and Keroro, normally somewhat made of iron, was reduced to a stammering, terrified mess at ''whatever'' he did to him the first time this happened...
* ChickMagnet: If it's female, and weird(Weird as in a [[SplitPersonality schizo]] billion-heiress, an EmotionlessGirl with a shape-shifting space entity on her head, and a mermaid) there's a huge chance they will have a thing for him.
* ExtremeDoormat - Until you push him ''too'' far.
* FriendToAllLivingThings - Whether they be human, alien, or monster.
* IdiotHair
* NiceGuy: Just don't [[BewareTheNiceOnes push his buttons too far]]...
* NonActionGuy
* ObliviousToLove
* TheOtherDarrin - HoukoKuwashima stood in for TomokoKawakami throughout her sick leave since 2008. But Kawakami [[http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2011-06-10/utena-voice-actress-tomoko-kawakami-passes-away tragically died on June 9, 2011]], thus Kuwashima is now promoted as his permanent seiyuu.
* UnwantedHarem - He may not have an extensive fanclub like Natsumi, but at least four girls have crush on him. [[BoyMeetsGhoul Only half of said girls are human]].
* WeirdnessMagnet - More supernatural things have happened to him than any of the other cast. Unusually for this trope, he ''loves'' it this way. Natsumi, not so much...
* MoralityPet - Is usually the one who guilt trips the sergeant to reconsidering whenever he takes a plan for invasion too far

!!Natsumi Hinata
!!!Voiced by: ChiwaSaitou (Japanese) and CheramiLeigh (English)
Fuyuki's tomboyish older sister, she considers herself--correctly--to be the first line of defense against Keroro's taking over the planet. Has a massive crush on Mutsumi, and is good friends with Koyuki.

* ActionGirl - The platoon unilaterally considers her Earth's greatest warrior.
* AllLoveIsUnrequited - Hopelessly crushes on Mutsumi, while getting crushed on by Giroro, Koyuki, several of her female classmates...
* AntiHero - She's technically on the side of good by protecting the Earth, [[GoodIsNotNice even if she's a violent, anti-social brute]].
* BadassNormal
* DefrostingIceQueen - she may still be suspicious of the Keronians in general, but she also seems to become a bit of a nicer character after they arrive--in addition to Giroro, she gets on pretty well with Koyuki.
* EvenTheGirlsWantHer - Has a considerable all-female fanclub at school.
* GirlishPigtails
* ImprobableWeaponUser
* {{Jerkass}}[=/=]JerkWithAHeartOfGold - Wavers between back and forth, although the former is her more common side.
* KnuckleCracking: When those knuckles start cracking, a beating is about to ensue on Keroro.
* HiddenEyes - A sure sign of trouble brewing for Keroro.
* PoweredArmor - Her Powered 723 suit.
* NotSoDifferent - She can be just as arrogant, self-absorbed and overconfident as Keroro at times, which is probably why they get along well.
** Moreover, she can be as violent, domineering, and no-nonsense as Giroro, which probably is part of the reason he respects her so much.
* RedBaron - According to Fuyuki in the manga, her overprotective streak during elementary school earned her the nickname ''Devil Summer''.
* {{Shorttank}}
* SiblingYinYang
* {{Tomboy}}
* TrademarkFavoriteFood - Seems to be sweet-potatoes.
* {{Tsundere}} - A vicious Type A on par with the likes of [[LightNovel/ZeroNoTsukaima Louise]].
* WaifFu

!!Aki Hinata
!!!Voiced by: AkikoHiramatsu (Japanese) and JamieMarchi (English)
A famous manga editor and HotShounenMom. Very self-confident and cheerful. She loves "Kero-chan" and his friends, but is usually away from home working.

* ActionMom - Doesn't have to be triggered by a threat to her family.
* BadassNormal
* GagBoobs - In the manga.
* GirlishPigtails - You know it's summertime when Aki wears her hair like this instead.
* HairAntennae
* HotShounenMom
* MamaBear
* {{Meganekko}} - They're a rather tiny pair, but the trope still applies. It doesn't help that this and the above-mentioned HairAntennae are usually the ''last two things'' one notices about Aki...
* MsFanservice
* SequentialArtist
* StatuesqueStunner

!!Akina Hinata
!!!Voiced by: HisakoKyoda(Japanese) Linda Leonard(English)
Aki's mother, and Fuyuki and Natsumi's grandma. A wise old woman who lives out in the country.

* CoolOldLady
* HairAntennae
* MiniatureSeniorCitizens: Fairly old, fairly short.
* StrongFamilyResemblance: As shown during the [[spoiler: episode where Dororo stumbles into the past]] she was a dead ringer for a teenage Aki.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Close Pekoponian Friends]]

!!Momoka Nishizawa
!!!Voiced by: HarunaIkezawa (Japanese) and MonicaRial (English)
Heir to a multi-billion-dollar international corporation, Momoka seems sweet and innocent at first, but has a hidden dark side related to her obsessive crush on Fuyuki. Spends tons of money on various {{Zany Scheme}}s that she hopes will help her get closer to him, with little success.

* ActionGirl: Given the proper motivation, ''yes''.
* BerserkButton
* CanNotSpitItOut - Momoka suffers greatly from this.
* CharacterDevelopment - In the manga, she has been steadily outgrowing her original {{Yandere}} tendencies, even developing a friendly rivalry with another girl.
* ComplexityAddiction: Some of her plans to win Fuyuki's heart rely on WAY too many variables to possibly work.
* LonelyRichKid
* ImportantHaircut - A {{Flashback}} in the manga shows that [[spoiler: she gave herself one when her Split Personality emerged]].
* [[spoiler: NewTransferStudent - As revealed in her HowWeGotHere {{Backstory}} in the manga, she used to attend a private school. Fuyuki was the first friend she made when she transferred to a public school.]]
* PoweredArmor - Develops her own.
* ScrewTheRulesIHaveMoney
* ShrinkingViolet
* SpikesOfVillainy - ''[[ExpressiveHair Her hair]]'' does this.
* SplitPersonality
* SpoiledSweet - Her 'good' side.
* TomboyAndGirlyGirl - "Sweet Momoka" is the girly-girl, while "Dark Momoka" is the tomboy.
* WaifFu
* {{Yandere}}

!!Paul Moriyama
!!!Voiced by: KeijiFujiwara (Japanese) and KentWilliams (English)
Momoka's personal servant and BattleButler. Always on hand to tend to her every need and slightest whim, no matter what it calls for. Also serves as a surrogate parent of sorts, as her parents are almost always off doing their own thing.

* BadassGrandpa - In the dub he reminisces about ''Stalingrad''.
* BattleButler
* CaptainErsatz, ShoutOut - to [[StreetFighter Ken Masters]].
* WorthyOpponent - He and Giroro consider each other to be this, or at least they did in Paul's debut episode.

!!Mutsumi Hojo/Saburo
!!!Voiced by: AkiraIshida (Japanese) and Joel [=McDonald=] (English)
An extremely laid-back, smooth poet and artist who has an OddFriendship with Kururu and serves as Natsumi's LoveInterest. Runs his own radio show, and carries a special pen that lets him bring his drawings to life.

* TheAce: In the few times he's seen in action, expect him to do it like a hardcore {{Badass}}.
* BadassNormal - Aside from his pen, doesn't have any special abilities or skills.
* BrilliantButLazy - Prefers lying around on rooftops to, say, actually attending school.
* CovertPervert - ''Strong'' undertones of this in the manga, bordering on HandsomeLech.
* EstrogenBrigadeBait
* GreenLanternRing - His pen.
* ObliviousToLove - May or may not know about Natsumi's feelings for him.
** This doesn't necessarily prevent him from returning those feelings, though.
* OddFriendship - With Kururu; descibed as being "Wavelength buddies".
* OutOfFocus - Frequently sees less action than the other human characters.
* WhiteHairedPrettyBoy

!!Koyuki Azumaya
!!!Voiced by: RyoHirohashi (Japanese) and LuciChristian (English)
A cute, cheerful {{Ninja}} girl who found Zeroro and brought him back to her [[HiddenElfVillage Hidden Ninja Village]], befriending him and eventually accompanying him to the city, where she [[NewTransferStudent transferred into Natsumi's school]] and helped him locate the others.

* ActionGirl
* AnIcePerson - Many of her special moves are ice-based.
* BadassAdorable - Very much so.
* CatSmile
* CountryMouse - This is exaggerated in the English dub, but she's from a simple rural background in both versions.
* HairDecorations - Her big red hair ribbon.
* GenkiGirl
* HighlyVisibleNinja - She's good at keeping out of sight when she wants, it's just... she's not so good about ''hiding'' her skills in normal, everyday life.
* MsFanservice - Combines this with InnocentFanserviceGirl
* NewTransferStudent
* NoSocialSkills
* RomanticTwoGirlFriendship - With Natsumi. The manga takes this into full-blown SchoolgirlLesbians territory, though still one-sided.
* WideEyedIdealist

!!The Narrator
!!!Voiced by: KeijiFujiwara (Japanese) and R Bruce Elliott (English)
ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin.

* LemonyNarrator: Cranks it [[UpToEleven up to eleven]]! Moreso in the Funimation dub.
* TheMenInBlack: Appears dressed as a Kuroko with [[BroughtToYouByTheLetterS a big red N over his face.]]
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Pekoponian-like Aliens]]

!!Angol Mois
!!!Voiced by: MamikoNoto (Japanese) and CarrieSavage (English)
The surprisingly [[{{Moe}} cute]] Lord of Terror who was sent to destroy Earth as according to the prophecy of Nostradamus. Only she kind of missed her cue, and Keroro manages to convince her not to go through with it by virtue of being her beloved "Uncle". Sort of an honorary SixthRanger of the Keroro Platoon, though for obvious reasons she can't show off her moves all that often.

* ApocalypseMaiden
* CosplayOtakuGirl - Seem to has fun dressing various cutesy costume.
* DarkSkinnedBlond - Her appearance deliberately invokes the 'kogal' trend; [[spoiler: she based her human appearance off of a [[{{Delinquents}} Deliquent]] girl she met once.]]
* DidWeJustHaveTeaWithCthulhu - The volume 19 of manga elaborate this. The Angols are beings from higher plan of existence, and while you can subdue them with [[KryptoniteFactor Angol Stone]], nobody understand what they really are. Keroro is the very first person who befriend the Angol.
* {{Dojikko}}
* HoldingBackThePhlebotinum - {{Justified|Trope}} by the destructive nature of her powers; [[spoiler: one manga chapter revealed [[StepfordSmiler she was hiding]] the negative effects this was having on her.]]
* LoveMartyr - Towards her 'Uncle'.
* MagicalGirl
* {{Malaproper}}
* ReallySevenHundredYearsOld
* SimpleStaff - The "Lucifer Spear", with has the power to ''[[EarthShatteringKaboom destroy the world]]''.
* SpellMyNameWithAnS - Angol Moa in the manga, Angol Mois in the anime.
* TeamPet - An interesting inversion on the usual formula; instead of five humans with a ridiculously cute talking animal helper from space, it's five animals with a ridiculously cute talking human(oid) helper from space.
* ValleyGirl
* VerbalTic - "teyuuka" ("Or perhaps I should say") before expressing an opinion.
* WhiteHairedPrettyGirl - Her true form.

!!Space Detective Kogoro
!!!Voiced by: NobuyukiHiyama (Japanese) and JohnSwasey (English)
An old childhood friend of Keroro's, Kogoro is a Space Detective who always seems to be down on his luck. Despite this, he always seems cheerful, laughing and grinning no matter ''what'' he might be thinking.

* TheExoticDetective
* HotBlooded - Lives and breathes this.
* LargeHam - The largest one in the butcher shop.
* ShoutOut - He's a parody of Kenji Ooba, the star of a {{Toku}} series called SpaceSheriffGavan.
* SiblingYinYang
* StepfordSmiler - He keeps on laughing, even when he's upset or angry.

!!Rabbie
!!!Voiced by: TomokoKaneda (Japanese) and LeahClark (English)
Kogoro's younger sister, and the only one who can tell how he ''really'' feels at any given moment. As a result, she frequently has to act as a "translator" of sorts. Does her best to support her brother by taking various part-time jobs.

* ApologisesALot - Usually for her brother.
* PettingZooPeople - Has cute bunny ears.
* ShrinkingViolet
* SiblingYinYang
* SpellMyNameWithAnS - Rabbie/Lavie

!!Alisa Southerncross
!!!Voiced by: AkikoYajima (Japanese)
An EmotionlessGirl adopted by the ShapeShifting alien Nebula, who rides around as her cat-eared headband and fights for her. He takes out her opponents and ''eats'' aliens, all while searching for a way to help her [[PinocchioSyndrome become human]]. Alisa, for her part, seems entirely uninterested in this... but shows some interest in Fuyuki.

* ActionGirl
* LittleMissSnarker
* EmotionlessGirl
* HeroicBSOD - She has this when Nebula was eaten by Chupacabra-like alien, even lost her sense of self-reservation.
* GirlishPigtails
* MagicalGirlfriend - Though not an official girlfriend, the undeniable elements of this have led to... ''[[DieForOurShip tension]]'' from Momoka/Fuyuki shippers.
* PinocchioSyndrome - Interestingly, Nebula seems more interested in obtaining this ''for'' Alisa than Alisa is herself.
* ShapeshifterWeapon - Nebula.
* WhatIsThisThingYouCallLove
* WhenSheSmiles - Played it, Alisa has natural smile the first time she met Fuyuki. We only see SlasherSmile afterward.
* TheWorfEffect - Not to the same extreme as Giroro just yet, but all the same: when ''she'' gets knocked back, that's a problem.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:The Garuru Platoon]]

!!First Lieutenant Garuru
!!!Voiced by: AkioOhtsuka (Japanese)
Giroro's AloofBigBrother, a famous sniper and hero of Keron Force. Was given his own platoon, and was assigned to confront and replace the Keroro Platoon. Cue the [[WhamEpisode Wham Episodes]].

* TheAce
* AloofBigBrother
* BigBrotherMentor - This is more obvious in the manga, where he's introduced long ''before'' the {{Wham Episode}}s, and is clearly shown before and afterwards to be very fond of his baby brother, despite Giroro's [[GreenEyedMonster seething jealousy]].
* TheChessmaster - [[spoiler: May have been subtly manipulating the entire battle to make the Keroro Platoon look good. More obvious in the manga, where he explicitly spares Kururu's life and sends him to take on Tororo, which turns the tide of battle.]]
* ColdSniper - More in the anime than in the manga; thank you, {{Flanderization}}.
* TheComicallySerious
* FriendlySniper - In the manga, is far nicer, friendlier, and enjoys gently teasing his brother, but is still a well-respected commander.
* Music/HeavyMetal - His music of choice.
* RedBaron, ShoutOut - [[{{Gundam0083}} Nightmare of Keromon]]
* StealthMentor
* WeaksauceWeakness - One chapter reveals [[spoiler: he can't use chopsticks. Unless spearing his food with them counts]].
* WorthyOpponent

!!Private First Class Taruru
!!!Voiced by: AkenoWatanabe (Japanese)
A cute, if [[{{Keet}} insanely energetic]], tadpole who absolutely ''adores'' his "Master Tamama"... And, rather obviously, was tapped to be part of the Garuru Platoon, where he cheerfully played EvilCounterpart to Tamama. Often puckers his lips up in a sort of "kissy face" expression.

* BrokenPedestal - Goes through this with Tamama.
* CheerfulChild
* DissonantSerenity - After his first fight with Tamama, [[spoiler: when he took out Paul and Momoka in short order.]]
* EyeBeams
* {{Keet}}
* PlotRelevantAgeUp - Apparently hit Keronian puberty before Tamama, losing his tadpole looks. In the anime, this happens shortly after an episode involving him and Karara running around with [[TransformationRay Transformation Rays]], ''including'' one that controls aging. [[EpilepticTrees Hmm...]]
* PunchClockVillain - Doesn't really think of following his orders as evil; [[spoiler: when Tamama shows up for a rematch, is genuiely shocked by the idea that "[[HeelRealization I'm the villain in this story?!]]"]]
* UnluckyChildhoodFriend - The anime has him appearing alongside Karara a few times before his PlotRelevantAgeUp. So far, Karara has yet to turn her flings of affection towards him.
* VerbalTic - "-''ssu''", a derivative of ''desu''. [[{{Disgaea}} Sound familiar, dood?]]

!!Lance Corporal Zoruru
!!!Voiced by: KazukiYao (Japanese)
A half-cybernectic assassin who appears to have joined the Garuru Platoon ''just'' to get a crack at Zeroro. Would probably ''love'' to be a KnightOfCerebus, if given the chance. Unfortunately, he tends to be even more forgotten than Dororo...

* ArtificialLimbs - A full half of his body, ''bisceted down the middle'', has been replaced with robotics.
* BerserkButton - Being ignored.
* BlackEyesOfCrazy
* CyberCyclops
* {{Determinator}}
* EvilCounterpart - Towards Dororo, whom he insists on calling 'Zeroro'.
* FailedASpotCheck - Like Dororo, ends up on the other end of this several times. One chapter plays with this, as [[spoiler: he sits in on a meeting with the Keroro Platoon, taking Dororo's usual spot so that the reader's eye may glide right over him without seeing anything amiss... despite having just seen Dororo leaving with Koyuki.]] That's ''before'' the others take it UpToEleven.
* FreudianExcuse - Volume 17 of the manga revealed [[spoiler: he apparently attended the same school as Keroro and Zeroro, and was completely ignored when those two first met... despite standing directly behind Zeroro at the time.]]
* HollywoodCyborg
* KnightOfCerebus - During the Garuru Platoon's invasion, he [[spoiler: defeats and seemingly kills several of the Keroro Platoon's allies in rather nightmarish fashion]], only to have this {{Subverted}} by an {{Anticlimax}}. [[spoiler: Attempted ''again'' in Volume 17.]]
* NotSoDifferent
* RedEyesTakeWarning - One eye, red pupil, black sclera. [[spoiler: Judging from the {{Flashback}} in Volume 17, these are his ''natural'' eyes.]]
* UnknownRival
* VerbalTic - Dramatic stammering, as in "''Z... Zeroro...''"

!!Recruit Tororo
!!!Voiced by: KappeiYamaguchi (Japanese)
An incredibly irritating tadpole who hacked into Keron Forces' computer once, got caught and was promptly recruited. Considers himself Kururu's rival, and longs for the chance to put him through the ultimate HumiliationConga.

* BigEater
* BrattyHalfPint
* ForTheEvulz[=/=]ItAmusedMe
* InsufferableGenius
* MadScientist
* NerdGlasses
* [[spoiler: OhCrap - When Kururu reveals that practically all of his programs are just inferior versions of ''Kururu's'' older projects, then immediately turns the tables on him.]]
* PlayfulHacker
* RecruitingTheCriminal - Didn't sign up voluntarily, but was drafted after Keron Force caught him poking around their systems.
* SmugSnake
* UnknownRival - Considers himself Kururu's rival; Kururu doesn't even remember him... [[spoiler: And when he ''does'', it doesn't end well for Tororo.]]

!!Ko-Kero
A SixthRanger of sorts for the Garuru Platoon's debut, with ''very'' different origins in the manga and anime. The manga version is [[spoiler: a CreepyChild clone intended to "replace" Keroro]], while the anime is [[spoiler: a deaged, BrainwashedAndCrazy Keroro]].

* [[spoiler: BrainwashedAndCrazy - Anime only]]
* BrattyHalfPint
* CreepyChild
* DissonantSerenity
* LackOfEmpathy
* [[spoiler: PutOnABus - Manga only; the clone's ultimate fate is never detailed.]]

!!Chief Medic Pururu
!!!Voiced by: SatsukiYukino (Japanese)
A childhood friend of Keroro, Giroro and Zeroro. Originally a civilian medic, she got bored and joined the military, ending up assigned to the Garuru Platoon.

* AffirmativeActionGirl - Both in the Garuru Platoon and in the younger Keroro's circle of friends; she wasn't mentioned or shown in any flashbacks until her debut episode.
* AfraidOfNeedles - Her WeaponOfChoice invokes this.
* CombatMedic
* CornerOfWoe - triggered when someone calls her obasan (auntie/old lady) or makes any sort of reference to her age.
* HospitalHottie - Triggers the usual "HelloNurse!" reaction from Keroro.
* GirlWithPsychoWeapon
* ImprobableWeaponUser - Syringes. ''[[{{BFG}} Big ones]]''.
* [[OlderThanTheyLook Older Than She Looks]] - About ChristmasCake level... in Keronian years.
* [[SmallGirlBigGun Small Girl Big Syringe]]
* UhOhEyes - Sometimes gets a creepy look in her eyes... usually while she's [[DissonantSerenity still smiling]]. Especially in the manga...
* {{Yandere}} -- Pururu has... ''interesting'' ways of showing her affection. Particularly in the manga, where she openly encourages Natsumi to torture Keroro more, smiling brightly the entire time.
** Pururu is a nurse, the more abused Keroro gets, the more he needs her medical attention.

[[folder:The Shurara Corps]]

!!Shurara
!!!Voiced by: NorioWakamoto (Japanese)
The leader of a group of [[{{Filler}} anime-only]] villains who are out to steal the Keron Star from Keroro. Notably, all of the members were based on [[OriginalCharacter fan-submitted characters]], meaning they all [[AscendedFanon ascended to anime canon]]. The whole arc turned into a giant MonsterOfTheWeek-fest.

* LargeHam
* MismatchedEyes - One blue eye, one yellow eye.
* NiceHat - Always shown wearing an elaborate silver-and-gold helmet.
* SpikesOfVillainy
* [[spoiler: SplitPersonality]]

* ArtInitiatesLife - With a snap of his fingers!
* GratuitousEnglish - His VerbalTic: "Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! Yo! Yo! Yo!"
* {{Keet}}
* MadArtist
* CouldntFindaPen - His brush is actually a nyororo that uses Keronian fluids as ink.

!!Super Marionette Mekeke
!!!Voiced by: Cho
Putata's partner in crime and a master puppeteer who conceals himself via invisibility while fighting with his puppet.

* MarionetteMaster
* PeoplePuppets - Another of his talents.
* PerversePuppet
* ShoutOut - Basically he's one big reference to [[{{Naruto}} Kankurou]].

!!Giruru
!!!Voiced by: Kunihiko Yasui (Japanese)
A mutant Keronian made of pure blue slime. Can transform others into mutants like him, but is weak to anything that can make him solidify.

* BlobMonster - The more intelligent sort.
* BodyHorror - Can turn others into living puddles of flesh.
* MakingASplash - Giruru's attack style. You'd be amazed how good of a fighter a viscus blob of fluid is.
* NamesToKnowInAnime - KunihikoYasui
* SiblingYinYang - [[spoiler: With his younger brother, Dokuku.]]
* WeaksauceWeakness - Powder. Any kind of powder.

!!Dokuku
!!!Voiced by: TakeshiKusao (Japanese)
A ghostly Keronian with a heavily scarred face, a scythe blade replacing his left hand, and a demonic symbol.

* OurGhostsAreDifferent
* RedRightHand - His scythe-arm.
* TalkingToHimself - Shares [[TakeshiKusao his seiyuu]] with Dororo.
* TheUnintelligible - He can only speak by saying his name, much like a [[PokemonSpeak Pokemon]]. However, his brother seems to understand him just fine.

!!Kagege
!!!Voiced by: ToshioFurukawa (Japanese)
The assassin of the Shurara Corps, an older tadpole who can manipulate shadows.

* LivingShadow - Kagege has the power to bring people's shadows to life and make them attack their owners.
* PowerGlows - And so does Kagege. Constantly.
* ScarfOfAsskicking

!!Seamstress Nuii
!!!Voiced by: Kurumi Mamiya (Japanese)
Once an abandoned Keronian doll, Nuii was brought to life by Shurara and made into one of his agents. She had the ability to turn everyone into plush dolls like herself, and under Gyororo's supervision, inflitrated the Hinata household in the guise of Natsumi's old teddy bear.

* AmbiguousGender - There is heated debate as to whether Nuii is male or female, funny as it sounds.
* AntiVillain
* [[spoiler: HeelFaceTurn]] - [[spoiler: Almost results in RedemptionEqualsDeath.]]
* LivingToys
* PuppetPermutation

!!Gyororo
!!!Voiced by: HiromiHirata (Japanese)
Nuii's superior, a Keronian covered in ExtraEyes who can blend into his surroundings, making him a perfect spy.

* EyeBeams
* ExtraEyes
* FacelessEye - When he's in his invisible mode, he is sometimes only seen as one of his many eyes.
* {{Invisibility}}
* KickTheDog
* {{Jerkass}}
* RedEyesTakeWarning
* SlasherSmile

!!Robobo
!!!Voiced by: Keiichi Sonobe (Japanese)
A robotic Keronian with scanner eyes, magnetic hands, built-in jets and the ability to fuse others with nearby mechanical objects.

* EnemyScan
* InterplayOfSexAndViolence - When Dororo delivers the final blow on Robobo, he seems to have a random orgasm before exploding.
* KillerRobot

!!Yukiki
!!!Voiced by: Eiji Maruyama (Japanese)
A snowman Keronian who can summon massive gusts of arctic winds and freeze everything around him. However, he's weak against any sort of heat.

* AnIcePerson
* BlowYouAway
* MinionWithAnFInEvil - Forcing people to play fun New Years games is not exactly evil.
* {{Snowlems}}
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Other Keronians]]

!!Keroro-papa
!!!Voiced by: KenichiOgata (Japanese) and Greg Dulcie (English)
Keroro's famous and terrifying father. The mere mention of his name sets off all ''kinds'' of ParentalIssues for his terrified son. However, in person, he seems to be rather laidback...

* CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass - Well... quite possibly, anyway.
* RetiredBadass
* LikeFatherLikeSon - This is more evident in the dub, where Keroro's dad is a proud war criminal.
* UnnamedParent
* WellDoneSonGuy - Just the mention of his name turns Keroro into this.

!!Keroro-mama
!!!Voiced by: Sachiko Chijimitsu (Japanese)
Keroro's mother who first appeared in the [=KeroZero=] short shown before the 4th Movie. She's very loving toward her son like a good mother, but she also seems to have a tricky side to her.

* [[AmazinglyEmbarrassingParents Amazingly Embarrassing Parent]] - She just loves to go around and talk about how wonderful her son is while offering sweets. She does this to ''everyone'', much to Keroro's chagrin.
* BodySnatcher - Although Natsumi was the one who had the idea of switching bodies with her, with the consent of both, afterwards she just disappeared with Natsumi's body, going to sight see Pekopon and even on a date with Giroro (Even though he knew it was Keroro's mother) while Natsumi in her body got dragged to another city by Keroro's father, who didn't believe any switch had happened.
* DotingParent
* GenerationXerox - Her son definitely got her looks.
* MrsRobinson - She actually went into this on ''Giroro''.
* ShoutOut - Her design is very reminiscent of the mother in {{Atashinchi}}, who was voiced by KumikoWatanabe, Keroro's voice actor.

!!Giroro-papa
Giroro and Garuru's father. Appears to have a reputation just as terrifying as Keroro's father, though he's not mentioned as often. Makes a habit of turning even the simplest tasks into 'tests' for his sons.

* BigOlEyebrows
* DrillSergeantNasty - He fits this Trope rather nicely in the Chibi-Kero Short.
* UnnamedParent
* RetiredBadass

!!Dororo-mama
[[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin Dororo's mother]]. [[GenerationXerox Looks]] ''[[GenerationXerox exactly]]'' [[GenerationXerox like her son]] (in a dress), and apparently passed down a lot of her personality traits, too. Whenever she sees Keroro, Giroro or Pururu, she immediately thanks them for being friends with Zeroro. Repeatedly. Over and over and over...

* ApologisesALot
* BewareTheNiceOnes - [[ActionMom Guess where Dororo got his ass-kicking genes from]].
* BigFancyHouse
* DotingParent
* GenerationXerox
* IllGirl - Wears a surgical mask like Zeroro.
* ShrinkingViolet
* [[ShyBlueHairedGirl Shy Blue]] ''[[ShyBlueHairedGirl Skinned]]'' [[ShyBlueHairedGirl Girl]]
* [[TalkingToHimself Talking To Herself]] - she had KumikoWatanabe's voice. And surprisingly not AxCrazy Yangire like in ''[[Anime/MobileSuitVictoryGundam Victory Gundam]]''
* UnnamedParent

!!Karara
!!!Voiced by: JunkoNoda (Japanese)and Alison Viktorin (English)
An [[{{Moe}} extremely cute]] [[CheerfulChild Keronian tadpole]], Karara is an extremely [[WideEyedIdealist naive]] daydreamer who dreams of finding her KnightInShiningArmor and falls in love at the drop of a hat with ''anyone'' who helps her out. Avoids StalkerWithACrush mainly because she runs off and does her "Bridal Training" offscreen, then shows up childishly expecting to have her affections returned...only to transfer her crush to someone else and start the whole process over again.

* AscendedExtra - Appeared briefly in the manga; became a recurring character in the anime.
* CheerfulChild
* GenkiGirl
* KansaiRegionalAccent
* LoveFreak
* TheOjou - Her father's incredibly rich.
* ManicPixieDreamGirl - She ''could'' be this, if she ever stayed focused on a single love interest for more than an episode or two.
* McNinja - The result of her crush on Dororo: she and her sister show up as hyperactive [[HighlyVisibleNinja kunoichis]]. HilarityEnsues.
* PlayingAgainstType - JunkoNoda doesn't usually voice Genki Girls often.
* RunningGag - Almost always falls for somebody else every time she shows up.
* WideEyedIdealist

!!Chiroro
!!!Voiced by: NatsukoKuwatani (Japanese)
Karara's fraternal twin sister. Doesn't appear as much or get as much character focus as her sibling.

* CheerfulChild
* DemotedToExtra - Taruru replaced her as Karara's constant companion in early episodes; she only got to debut after his PlotRelevantAgeUp, and is still very much in her twin sister's shadow.
* GenkiGirl
* TheOjou - Same as her sister, though this generally isn't ''invoked'' as much for her.

!!Joriri
!!!Voiced by: Junichi Sugawara (Japanese)
An anime-exclusive character based on a fan submition, Joriri is an unshaven bum who appears in various [[WholeEpisodeFlashback flashbacks]], giving the young Keroro, Giroro, Zeroro and Pururu questionable advice and generally being a poor role model. May have been introduced to add an "adult!Keroro" style character to the past, even though the younger Keroro already filled that role. Recently showed up in the present, [[TheScrappy much to the dismay of fandom]].

* AscendedFanon - Joriri was originally one of the fan designs submitted to the Keroro Land mangazine, before being incorporated into the tv show.
* IceCreamKoan - His big gimmick involves imparting an extremely odd form of sage wisdom that doesn't make a lot of sense.
* PermaStubble - Not an action hero, though.
* SixthRanger - He joins the Keroro platoon in the 6th season... for one episode. Although that event is still referenced later.

!!Assassin Captain Jirara
!!!Voiced by: Kouji Yada (Japanese)
Leader of the X1 assassin troop on Keron, and Zeroro's trainer in the art of killing. Cold and merciless and wanted in several galaxies, it only makes sense that he popped up on Pekopon...

* ArtificialLimbs - It almost seems like this is a requirement for spooky assassin-types.
* DrillSergeantNasty[=/=]SadistTeacher - Jirara trains his underlings by making them constantly fight each other nearly to the death. If you die, you were a bad student anyways.
** However, [[spoiler: a {{Flashback}} in Volume 17 of the manga reveals that he deliberately chose a LighterAndSofter alternative to making Zeroro a full-fledged assassin, ''despite'' acknowledging that Zeroro had excelled in his training. When his pupil begged for an explanation, Jirara tells him flat-out that the assassin's path is "darker than you can even imagine".]]
* GiantSpider - He takes on this form in Dororo's nightmare.
* RedEyesTakeWarning

!!Warrant-Officer Bariri
Another character solely from the anime. Despite his rank and the respect he apparently has, he's very... Crazy. Most of this is put in the direction of his unhealthy infatuation with Pururu. [[StalkerWithACrush Really, really unhealthy.]]

* BunnyEarsLawyer
* LargeHam
* LoveMakesYouCrazy - And oh how it does. It's even more than just a Trope name. He's literally shown going to a psychiatrist about his insane love for Pururu.
* StalkerWithACrush
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Other Aliens]]

!!Sumomo
!!!Voiced by: Juri Ihata (Japanese) and CaitlinGlass (English)
A pink Keronian-like alien, known as an Axolotl. She's a highly popular and very [[SpoiledBrat spoiled]] IdolSinger who likes to pull [[RatingsStunt Ratings Stunts]].

* AscendedExtra - Starred in a one-shot side story in the manga; became a recurring character in the anime.
* IdolSinger
* [[ItsAllAboutMe It's All About Me]] - Doesn't really care if others are hurt by her antics.
* RatingsStunt - Like, say... [[spoiler: Pretending to be Natsumi via RidiculouslyHumanRobot and wreaking her life for kicks, then getting confused when Natsumi gets ''pissed''.]]
* SpoiledBrat
* VoluntaryShapeshifting - Can transform into a human-like form at will.

!!Vipers
!!!Voiced by: NobuoTobita (Japanese) and ChrisPatton (English)
An alien race of humanoid snakemen, the Vipers are natural enemies of Keronians and are dangerous, deadly predators. Most of the Vipers that show up in the anime have a personal vendetta against the Keroro Platoon, thanks to what happened to the ''first'' Viper that targeted them. In the manga, on the other hand...

* ArchEnemy
* EnemyMine
* IgnoredEnemy
* [[OnlySixFaces Only ONE Face (and Voice)]]
* ShoutOut: To ''Manga/SpaceAdventureCobra''; notice that they don't look like real vipers because they have cobra hoods.
* SpeciesSurname
* TheWorfEffect: In the manga, one shows up during Alisa's introduction just so she can ''[[ImAHumanitarian eat him]]''.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Movie-Exclusive Characters]]

!!Kiruru
A sort of ancient Keronian super weapon that feeds off of negative emotions to gain strength and destroy planets. While not necessarily movie exclusive, they're a very big element of the first and third movies, and become a victim of the WorfEffect in the second. In the first movie, Keroro and Fuyuki accidentally unleash one on Tokyo.

* AttackOfThe50FootWhatever
* EmotionEater
* PersonOfMassDestruction
* SealedEvilInACan
* TheTokyoFireball - Kiruru's doing.

!!Mirara
An ancient Keronian weapons specialist that sealed away the first Kiruru, but got stuck in the proverbial can with him as well. She works off of positive emotions, and is able to turn into a key, the only thing that can reseal the Kiruru and save the world.

* EmergencyTransformation - Granted, she couldn't do it until the characters actually got along again.
* ExpositionFairy - To Keroro and Fuyuki.
* StopHelpingMe - Pointing out the fact that Keroro made a doomsday device in front of the Hinatas at a time like this isn't really helping your cause, Mirara.

!!Meru
A Maronian living at the bottom of the ocean who was feeling lonely one day and as a result, abducted Natsumi to be his princess. In the end, all he wanted was a mother figure rather than a princess.

* BrattyHalfPint
* JerkAss - To Maru
* ParentalAbandonment - His main issue.

!!Maru
The only other friend Meru has, despite the fact he treats her like his servant and is generally unpleasant to her. Regardless, she remains chipper and incredibly loyal to him.

* BattleButler
* ExtremeDoormat
* MoralityPet

!!Dark Keroro
The primary antagonist of the third movie. Cloned from a sample of Keroro's own DNA, taken off the Kero Ball when it was lost in an ancient Keronian facility hidden in the ancient city of Macchu Picchu in Peru.

* EvilTwin to Keroro
* [[spoiler:HijackedByGanon: Turns out Dark Keroro was basically the third Kiruru after absorbing Keroro's DNA off the Kero Ball, complete with Miruru taking the same role as Mirara.]]
* LargeHam: "TWO MINUTES is all I need to conquer this mud ball!"
* [[WhatIsThisThingYouCallLove What Is This Thing You Call Friendship]]

!!Shivava

* ArrogantKungFuGuy
* EvilCounterpart to Tamama
* Homage: to Sun Wukong of the ''Journey To The West'' tale that DragonBall was based on. Note his 'symbol', which is really a band around him that resembles the flying cloud, while resembling Wukong's RestrainingBolt. He even uses the original 'Great Saint That Surpasses Heaven' title when he first appears.
** He's also a pretty direct reference to Goku from ''DragonBall''. He uses a blue blast of energy at one point charged up similarly to the Kamehameha and, in the final battle, attempts to use the Genki Dama while fighting against Tamama and Momoka, even calling up for other people's power. One of the scenes featuring him in the credits sequence is a homage to Dragonball's original ending and another one shows him in a place very similar to the Tenkaichi Budokai tournament from Dragonball, fighting against someone with the body obscured, but wearing pants and shoes identical to Yamcha's in the 22nd and 23rd Budokais.
* WeaponOfChoice: A SimpleStaff [[RecycledInSpace WITH LASERS.]]

!!Doruru

* BloodKnight
* EvilCounterpart to Giroro
* MoreDakka: Doruru has {{Arm Cannon}}s, rocket launchers on his back and four miniguns IN HIS HAT. And his own [[{{Gundam0083}} Dendrobium Orchis]] much like Giroro's.

!!Miruru
Appearing at the same time as Dark Keroro, she's the only one capable of operating their OminousFloatingCastle, but there's something about her that even he doesn't know...

* [[spoiler:{{Expy}} of Mirara from the first movie.]]
* [[spoiler:PowerGivesYouWings: As her alterego Nazca.]]

!!Shion
One of Momoka's old friends, and shares a lot in common with her - except that her rich parents passed away early on. All she wanted was a real family, and from the depths of Mont-Saint-Michel, someone answered...

* TheOjou
* KidWithTheRemoteControl: the ancient book that only Shion can read summons the Earth Dragon in the first place.

!![[spoiler:Terara]]
[[spoiler:When Shion attempts to breed the Earth Dragon egg hidden under Mont-Saint-Michel, the plan reaches frution and the massive Earth Dragon is hatched - but the destruction it causes to the world forces Shion to intervene, and eventually the Earth Dragon relinquishes its power, turning into a harmless little creature that resembles a salamander-based Keronian.]]

* SuperpoweredEvilSide: The Earth Dragon form, [[spoiler:though it's officially sealed away by the end.]]
* MeaningfulName: [[spoiler:Terara comes from 'terra', meaning Earth. Can also be read as referring to ''terror''...]]
* [[spoiler:NiceHat: Shion's beret is passed to Terara at the end.]]

!!Pierre
Shion's legal guardian, very similar to Paul in more ways than one can imagine.

* BattleButler
* [[spoiler: CaptainErsatz: Like Paul channeling [[StreetFighter Ken Masters]], Pierre turns into E Honda.]]
* {{Homage}}: In line with the ''Anime/TurnAGundam'' references in the 4th movie, Pierre has a White Doll moustache.

* {{Jerkass}}[=/=]JerkWithAHeartOfGold - Wavers back and forth.
* ManChild
* TheNeidermeyer

* BreathWeapon - Tamama IMPACT--!
* BerserkButton
* DeliberatelyCuteChild
* DontYouDarePityMe - Goes through this with Mois a couple times.
* EyeBeams
* FairWeatherMentor - Towards Taruru. Loves the way Taruru strokes his ego, ''hates'' his [[{{Keet}} overwhelming]] [[CheerfulChild cheerfulness]] and [[FearlessFool naivete]].
* {{Fartillery}}
* FeetOfClay - Gradually grows disenchanted with Keroro due to this, especially in the manga.
* GreenEyedMonster
* {{Kawaiiko}} - Deliberately plays up his cute image.
* LoveMakesYouCrazy[=/=][[LoveMakesYouEvil Evil]]
* PingPongNaivete
* SweetTooth
* VerbalTic - "''Desu''!"

* BloodKnight
* ButtMonkey - Mainly Kururu's.
* CanNotSpitItOut
* CharmPoint - His belt.
* TheComicallySerious
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold
* LoveAtFirstPunch
* LoveMakesYouCrazy - [[http://www.mangafox.com/manga/keroro_gunsou/v05/c041/14.html he doesn't seem to be careful about himself...]]

* MoreDakka
* MurderTheHypotenuse - In the manga, he attempted this on Koyuki right after her introduction.
* PerpetualFrowner
* {{Tsundere}}
* {{Tsurime Eyes}} - He ''does'' have noticeably pointy eyes...
* TheWorfEffect

* BrilliantButLazy
* ClarkesThirdLaw
* CreepyMonotone - Excitement makes his voice rise. This makes him even ''creepier''.
* EvilLaugh - ''[[GigglingVillain KU KU KU KU KUUU...!]]''
* FourEyesZeroSoul
* GratuitousEnglish
* TheHyena
* InsufferableGenius
* ItAmusedMe[=/=]ForTheEvulz

* NerdGlasses
* OddFriendship - With 'Wavelength Buddy' Mutsumi. They aren't even shown interacting all that much, but they seem to be very buddy-buddy.
* OmnidisciplinaryScientist
* SignatureLaugh - Kukuku...
* SpellMyNameWithAnS - Kururu/Kululu. The English translation of the manga actually switched from Kururu to Kululu around Volume 10 or so, then switched back later on.
* StalkerWithACrush - ''Maybe'' towards Aki.
* TakehitoKoyasu
* TokenEvilTeammate - While they're technically all villains, he ''still'' fits.
* TransformationRay - One of his favorite gadgets to build.
* TricksterMentor - Certainly isn't above manipulating the others into self-improvement.
* {{Troll}}
* WitchDoctor

* ApologisesALot
* BewareTheNiceOnes - That cute little tadpole became an ''assassin''. Then a ''[[InstantAwesomeJustAddNinja ninja]]''.
* BigFancyHouse
* BlueWithShock - [[HeroicBSOD Trauma Switch, on!]]
* BreakTheCutie - PlayedForLaughs
* TheChewToy
* CornerOfWoe
* LonelyRichKid
* MyHeroZero
* ShrinkingViolet
* TechnicalPacifist
* TokenGoodTeammate

* AgentMulder
* IdiotHair
* NiceGuy: Just don't [[BewareTheNiceOnes push his buttons too far]]...
* NonActionGuy
* ObliviousToLove

* BadassNormal
* GirlishPigtails
* ImprobableWeaponUser
* PoweredArmor - Her Powered 723 suit.
* {{Shorttank}}
* SiblingYinYang
* {{Tomboy}}
* TrademarkFavoriteFood - Seems to be sweet-potatoes.
* {{Tsundere}} - A vicious Type A on par with the likes of [[LightNovel/ZeroNoTsukaima Louise]].
* WaifFu

* BadassNormal
* GagBoobs - In the manga.
* GirlishPigtails - You know it's summertime when Aki wears her hair like this instead.
* HairAntennae
* HotShounenMom
* MamaBear
* {{Meganekko}} - They're a rather tiny pair, but the trope still applies. It doesn't help that this and the above-mentioned HairAntennae are usually the ''last two things'' one notices about Aki...
* MsFanservice
* SequentialArtist
* StatuesqueStunner

!!Akina Hinata
!!!Voiced by: HisakoKyoda(Japanese) Linda Leonard(English)
Aki's mother, and Fuyuki and Natsumi's grandma. A wise old woman who lives out in the country.

* BerserkButton
* LonelyRichKid

* WaifFu
* {{Yandere}}

* BattleButler

* EstrogenBrigadeBait
* GreenLanternRing - His pen.
* WhiteHairedPrettyBoy

* ActionGirl
* AnIcePerson - Many of her special moves are ice-based.
* BadassAdorable - Very much so.
* CatSmile
* CountryMouse - This is exaggerated in the English dub, but she's from a simple rural background in both versions.
* HairDecorations - Her big red hair ribbon.
* GenkiGirl
* HighlyVisibleNinja - She's good at keeping out of sight when she wants, it's just... she's not so good about ''hiding'' her skills in normal, everyday life.
* MsFanservice - Combines this with InnocentFanserviceGirl
* NewTransferStudent
* NoSocialSkills
* RomanticTwoGirlFriendship - With Natsumi. The manga takes this into full-blown SchoolgirlLesbians territory, though still one-sided.
* WideEyedIdealist

!!The Narrator
!!!Voiced by: KeijiFujiwara (Japanese) and R Bruce Elliott (English)
ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin.

* ApocalypseMaiden
* {{Dojikko}}
* MagicalGirl
* {{Malaproper}}
* ReallySevenHundredYearsOld
* ValleyGirl
* VerbalTic - "teyuuka" ("Or perhaps I should say") before expressing an opinion.
* WhiteHairedPrettyGirl - Her true form.

!!Space Detective Kogoro
!!!Voiced by: NobuyukiHiyama (Japanese) and JohnSwasey (English)

!!Rabbie

Alisa, for her part, seems entirely uninterested in this... but shows some interest in Fuyuki.

* ActionGirl
* LittleMissSnarker
* EmotionlessGirl
* HeroicBSOD - She has this when Nebula was eaten by Chupacabra-like alien, even lost her sense of self-reservation.
* GirlishPigtails
* ShapeshifterWeapon - Nebula.
* WhatIsThisThingYouCallLove

Giroro's AloofBigBrother, a famous sniper and hero of Keron Force. Was given his own platoon, and was assigned to confront and replace the Keroro Platoon. Cue the [[WhamEpisode Wham Episodes]].

* TheAce
* AloofBigBrother

* CheerfulChild
* DissonantSerenity - After his first fight with Tamama, [[spoiler: when he took out Paul and Momoka in short order.]]

* PunchClockVillain - Doesn't really think of following his orders as evil; [[spoiler: when Tamama shows up for a rematch, is genuiely shocked by the idea that "[[HeelRealization I'm the villain in this story?!]]"]]

* VerbalTic - "-''ssu''", a derivative of ''desu''. [[{{Disgaea}} Sound familiar, dood?]]

!!Lance Corporal Zoruru
!!!Voiced by: KazukiYao (Japanese)

* BerserkButton - Being ignored.
* BlackEyesOfCrazy
* CyberCyclops
* {{Determinator}}
* EvilCounterpart - Towards Dororo, whom he insists on calling 'Zeroro'.

* FreudianExcuse - Volume 17 of the manga revealed [[spoiler: he apparently attended the same school as Keroro and Zeroro, and was completely ignored when those two first met... despite standing directly behind Zeroro at the time.]]
* HollywoodCyborg

* MarionetteMaster
* PeoplePuppets - Another of his talents.
* PerversePuppet

* NamesToKnowInAnime - KunihikoYasui

* OurGhostsAreDifferent
* RedRightHand - His scythe-arm.

Constantly.
* ScarfOfAsskicking

* AntiVillain
* [[spoiler: HeelFaceTurn]] - [[spoiler: Almost results in RedemptionEqualsDeath.]]
* LivingToys
* PuppetPermutation

!!Gyororo
!!!Voiced by: HiromiHirata (Japanese)
Nuii's superior, a Keronian covered in ExtraEyes who can blend into his surroundings, making him a perfect spy.

* EyeBeams
* ExtraEyes
* FacelessEye - When he's in his invisible mode, he is sometimes only seen as one of his many eyes.
* {{Invisibility}}
* KickTheDog
* {{Jerkass}}
* RedEyesTakeWarning
* SlasherSmile

!!Robobo
!!!Voiced by: Keiichi Sonobe (Japanese)
A robotic Keronian with scanner eyes, magnetic hands, built-in jets and the ability to fuse others with nearby mechanical objects.

* EnemyScan
* InterplayOfSexAndViolence - When Dororo delivers the final blow on Robobo, he seems to have a random orgasm before exploding.
* KillerRobot

!!Yukiki
!!!Voiced by: Eiji Maruyama (Japanese)
A snowman Keronian who can summon massive gusts of arctic winds and freeze everything around him. However, he's weak against any sort of heat.

* AnIcePerson
* BlowYouAway
* MinionWithAnFInEvil - Forcing people to play fun New Years games is not exactly evil.
* {{Snowlems}}

* RetiredBadass
* LikeFatherLikeSon - This is more evident in the dub, where Keroro's dad is a proud war criminal.
* UnnamedParent

* DotingParent

* BigOlEyebrows
* DrillSergeantNasty - He fits this Trope rather nicely in the Chibi-Kero Short.
* UnnamedParent
* RetiredBadass

* ApologisesALot
* BewareTheNiceOnes - [[ActionMom Guess where Dororo got his ass-kicking genes from]].
* BigFancyHouse
* DotingParent
* GenerationXerox
* IllGirl - Wears a surgical mask like Zeroro.
* ShrinkingViolet
* UnnamedParent

* CheerfulChild
* GenkiGirl
* KansaiRegionalAccent
* LoveFreak
* TheOjou - Her father's incredibly rich.
* WideEyedIdealist

!!Chiroro
!!!Voiced by: NatsukoKuwatani (Japanese)
Karara's fraternal twin sister. Doesn't appear as much or get as much character focus as her sibling.

* CheerfulChild
* DemotedToExtra - Taruru replaced her as Karara's constant companion in early episodes; she only got to debut after his PlotRelevantAgeUp, and is still very much in her twin sister's shadow.
* GenkiGirl

* RedEyesTakeWarning

* BunnyEarsLawyer
* LargeHam
* LoveMakesYouCrazy - And oh how it does. It's even more than just a Trope name. He's literally shown going to a psychiatrist about his insane love for Pururu.
* StalkerWithACrush

* IdolSinger
* SpoiledBrat

* ArchEnemy
* EnemyMine
* IgnoredEnemy
* [[OnlySixFaces Only ONE Face (and Voice)]]
* ShoutOut: To ''Manga/SpaceAdventureCobra''; notice that they don't look like real vipers because they have cobra hoods.
* SpeciesSurname

* AttackOfThe50FootWhatever
* EmotionEater
* PersonOfMassDestruction
* SealedEvilInACan
* TheTokyoFireball - Kiruru's doing.

* BrattyHalfPint
* JerkAss - To Maru
* ParentalAbandonment - His main issue.

!!Maru
The only other friend Meru has, despite the fact he treats her like his servant and is generally unpleasant to her. Regardless, she remains chipper and incredibly loyal to him.

* BattleButler
* ExtremeDoormat
* MoralityPet

!!Dark Keroro
The primary antagonist of the third movie. Cloned from a sample of Keroro's own DNA, taken off the Kero Ball when it was lost in an ancient Keronian facility hidden in the ancient city of Macchu Picchu in Peru.

* EvilTwin to Keroro

!!Shivava

* ArrogantKungFuGuy
* EvilCounterpart to Tamama

!!Doruru

* BloodKnight
* EvilCounterpart to Giroro

* TheOjou

* BattleButler

** A competent officer who constantly has to put up with a frustratingly WildCard that he can't control. Are we talking about Giroro and Keroro or [[TalesOfTheAbyss Van and Asch]]? Hilariously, this one got lampshaded in the RPG where Giroro got to use Van's [[LimitBreak Ancient Requiem]], as one of his specials.

Aki's mother, and Fuyuki and Natsumi's grandma. A wise old woman who lives out in the country.

* CoolOldLady
