redirecting to new character pages

%%Let's set some ground rules for consistency, shall we?
%%
%%English names for everything, except to note name changes in the character entries (and in cases where we don't have English names yet).
%%Shorthand for the second game should be capitalized as mk2, not [=Mk2=] or mk-2. For the third game, use Victory, not V, since the English name has been confirmed to use the former, and the Japanese title has both.
%%Do not call mk2 a sequel, except where it's the name of a trope. mk2 is a continuity reboot, and therefore not a sequel to anything.

This page lists all characters in ''VideoGame/HyperdimensionNeptuniaReBirth1'', the remake of the first game of the ''Neptunia'' series, and the tropes associated with them. Due to the remake fleshing out the Goddesses and even villains, it felt fitting that a new character page be made for the remake itself. Tropes specific to their portrayal in the other games of the series belong on the pages for those games.

'''Beware of unmarked spoilers''' because characters who debuted '''after''' the original ''[[VideoGame/HyperdimensionNeptunia Neptunia]]'' game make their appearance in this remake!

!![=CPUs=]

[[folder:General CPU Tropes]]

The goddesses of Gamindustri, powered by the hopes and faith of their people. Each CPU rules her respective land and resides within her Basillicom; their work includes protecting their lands from enemies, doing quests, paper work or administrate the land. Despite being powerful goddesses, they do have human forms that are less powerful but more energy-efficient, since maintaining their true forms is very taxing. [[UsefulNotes/ConsoleWars They've been fighting against each other for as long as they can remember.]]
----
!!!Tropes associated with the [=CPUs=] in general:
* TheAgeless: They don't age unless they lose their goddess power, and they were created to look the way they are now from the get-go.
* AmbiguouslyBi: Some of them say stuff that suggest they're straight (like the whole IfItsYouItsOkay thing between Neptune and Noire, and Vert talking about her potential prince), yet other stuff suggest otherwise (like the whole IfItsYouItsOkay thing between Neptune and Noire, and Vert's constantly playing TheTease to [=IF=]).
* {{BFS}}: Most of the sword-wielding [=CPUs=]' weapons when they transform. Justified in that they're PhysicalGods.
* TheBigGuy: Gameplay-wise. While the [=CPUs=] are powerful in battle, especially with their transformations and [[LimitBreak EXE Drives]], they tend to ''only'' be powerful with limited selections of buffs or utility abilities. Administrivia/TropesAreNotBad, since this makes sure the magic and utility of the Makers keeps them useful throughout the game.
* ColorfulThemeNaming: With the exception of [[OddNameOut Neptune]], the other three goddesses are named after their respective colors. And in French.
* EnemyMine:
** Done against Purple Heart in the beginning by Black, White, and Green Heart as a means to eliminate a competitor and break out of the stalemate they were currently in. All three agree because they feel Purple Heart would pose the greatest threat to them individually.
** Neptune often ends up teaming up with the other goddesses to help them resolve issues in their respective lands. It gradually turns into a FireForgedFriends as they endure their various hardships together, and find out they're not so differenet from each other.
* ExoticEyeDesigns: All [=CPUs=] and CPU Candidates have a power symbol in their eyes when in HDD.
* EyeColorChange: With the exception of Plutia, the eye color of the [=CPUs=] change when they transform.
* {{Flight}}: They can fly in their goddess forms.
* FourTemperamentEnsemble:
** Neptune is '''Sanguine''', being the most outgoing and cheerful of the four.
** Noire is '''Melancholic''', being solitary and prone to hide her feelings.
** Blanc is '''Choleric''', being the quickest to anger.
** Vert is '''Phlegmatic''', being the voice of reason in the group and generally the nicest.
* FunWithAcronyms: CPU stands for "Console Patron Unit".
* HoneyTrap: [[MostCommonSuperPower Vert]] and [[TokenMiniMoe Blanc]] try this to get past [[ObstructiveBureaucrat Lastation's Basilicom staff.]] [[IgnoreTheFanservice It doesn't work.]]
* HotGod: Definitively in their goddess forms. Only Vert and ''possibly'' Noire count in their human forms.
* InnocentInnuendo: When Neptune and Noire are trying each other's pudding (this already sounds like something else), Noire tells Neptune to "slip one" into her mouth. Neptune immediately lampshades how wrong this sounds.
-->'''Neptune:''' *chomp* "Aaah... The bittersweet flavor! Pure ecstasy!"\\
'''Noire:''' "Hey, now it's my turn. Come and slip one into my mouth..."\\
'''Neptune:''' "Uh... That didn't sound good, but...okay."
* JekyllAndHyde: Even more so than in previous installments. Instead of just being a change in character, a goddess's normal and CPU forms are very distinct personalities this time around. While they never conflict, they occasionally go as far as referring to each other as separate entities.
* MoeAnthropomorphism: Of various consoles.
* PaperThinDisguise:
** The developers at Felistella thought the Goddesses needed a disguise when they were needing secrecy out in the open. What was the ingenious disguise, you ask? A pair of glasses. Ironically, the only entities the glasses ''do'' work on... are other [=CPUs=].
** Special mention goes to Noire while she's in the party the first time. The player knows perfectly well she's Black Heart, and it's plain as day her "amnesiac" story would buckle under casual questioning, even if the glasses buy her a few seconds to be evasive. She only pulls it off because of Neptune's [[AttentionDeficitOohShiny ADD]], Compa's ditziness, and IF getting cut off or ignored every time she tries to be suspicious.
** Lampshaded when Vert does it. Neptune notes that she had [[BuxomBeautyStandard certain other characteristics]] that give her away, and sure enough, when they get to Lowee, [[spoiler:the fake]] Blanc sees through her disguise immediately, but it works on [[spoiler:the real Blanc]].
* PhysicalGod: The citizens worship them as deities, though they fit the ruler role better than a god's. However, their powers are depended on Shares, which are the hope, faith and prayers of their people.
* PowerDyesYourHair: The HDD change their hair color.
* PowerGivesYouWings: The HDD adds them wings if you have equipped them as Processor Units parts.
* PowerMakesYourHairGrow: In most cases, the HDD does this.
* PowerMakesYourVoiceDeep: The HDD makes their voices drop one to several octaves.
* PromotedToPlayable: For the first time in [[VideoGame/HyperdimensionNeptuniaVictory two years]] (the first time in four years, [[VideoGame/HyperdimensionNeptunia if you want to get technical)]], the original set of Gamindustri Goddesses are finally playable after being DemotedToExtra in ''Victory''.
* PurposelyOverpowered: The DLC [=CPUs=] are this. They have impressive stats and useful skills, they grow really fast and you get them at the beginning of chapter 2, which makes it much easier to beat the game, since you have now three [=CPUs=] with access to HDD very early in your party, effectively replacing Compa and IF as your front fighters. While they have absolutely zero impact to the story, when Neptune and/or the others transform in cutscenes, the DLC [=CPUs=] transform off-screen.
* ReallySevenHundredYearsOld: They are all some centuries old, with the exception of the two DLC [=CPUs=] who were originally human and got their goddess powers recently.
* SeriousBusiness:
** Do not interrupt Neptune's Pudding time. Noire gets in on this as well, to the point that Neptune and Noire have a contest fighting monsters, with the prize being pudding.
** The [[spoiler:Deep Fry Debate at the start of ch.8 between those who believe deep fry should have lemon (Vert and Noire) versus keeping the wholesome crunch (Blanc), with Neptune stuck in the middle for not caring either way. Both factions also don't like Neptune taking that third option.]]
* TheSixthRanger: The DLC [=CPUs=]. You get them at the beginning of chapter 2, but they do not appear at the story at all. Because of this, they are like ghosts in your party and they do not fit there at all. Unlike the CPU Candidates, they do not even get a single cutscene. This is also the reason why they always start with Lily Rank 0 with any other character.
* StrangeMindsThinkAlike: The [=CPUs=] all think of the same [[PaperThinDisguise ingenious disguise.]] See PaperThinDisguise for more details.
* SuperMode: The Hard Drive Divinity transforms the [=CPUs=] into their goddess forms, increasing their stats immensely and giving them some other boni. Tranforming into their goddess forms however costs 20% of your total SP.
* TookALevelInKindness: All the goddesses, compared to their original incarnations. Neptune is more actively heroic, Noire is less standoffish, Blanc is more social, and Vert is less high-and-mighty, making all of theme more likable while still keeping their basic personalities.
* TransformationIsAFreeAction:
** A CPU activating Hard Drive Divinity doesn't even end their turn.
-->'''Neptune:''' "[[LampshadeHanging No attacking while I'm transforming!]]"
** For some boss fights, the goddesses will even transform during the preceding cutscene, saving them the SP cost. If that is happening while you have the DLC [=CPUs=] in your party, they will also be already in their goddess forms from the beginning of the battle.
** As a gag, it's Subverted on the scene before fighting [[spoiler:Fake Green Heart]].
-->'''Vert:''' "As a fellow gamer, I've let you move about, but I cannot let you go now. *Attempts HDD*
-->'''[[spoiler:Fake Green Heart]]::''' "[[MachineMonotone I HAVE A MISSION.]] [[ItMakesSenseInContext TO GO TO THE BUTLER CAFE. I CANNOT LOSE NOW! HAAH!]]"
-->'''Vert:''' "Wha-?! W-Wait a moment! I haven't changed forms yet?!"
-->'''[[spoiler:Fake Green Heart]]:''' "THAT IS WHY I AM ATTACKING NOW!"

[[quoteleft:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/hdnr1_neptune_x.png]]
[[caption-width:350:[-From left to right: '''Neptune''' & '''Purple Heart'''-] ]]

->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/RieTanaka (Japanese), Creator/MelissaFahn (English)

The CPU of Planeptune, she is defeated by the other goddesses at the beginning of the game and stricken with amnesia when she lands in the forest. She is ditzy at best but still a dangerous fighter.
----
!!!Tropes associated with Neptune/Purple Heart:
* ACupAngst: While Neptune normally doesn't mind her flat chest, when Younger and Older Brother begin to pretend she doesn't exist purely because she's flat, she's not above transforming to gain a bit of favor.
* AccidentalMisnaming: Neptune's name is laughably unpronounceable by Compa and random [=NPCs=] until IF comes along and lampshades it. This is why she's nicknamed Nep-Nep early on. And those people, who cannot pronounce her name, [[FridgeLogic can pronounce Planeptune totally fine]], which doesn't make sense as IF lampshades this.
* AllLovingHero: This incarnation of Neptune befriends everyone, she's got a big heart and she loves Nepgear.
* AmnesiacGod:
** More or less what starts off the series; Neptune remembers only her own name (and a few assorted foods), as well as how to fight, but nothing else.
** [[spoiler:She decides to stay an amnesiac because regaining her memories could make her regain the feelings she previously had towards the other Goddesses.]]
* AmnesiacHero: To the point that Neptune refers herself as one.
* BadassBoast: Actually manages to pull a few off, the most notable also being the most hilarious.
-->'''Neptune:''' One! A game goddess appears to rid the world of the wrong! Two! To rid the world of pirated copies! And three! To be rid of the grumpy old lady! I am Neptune, at your service!
** In the True Ending, she has this before facing the FinalBoss.
-->'''Purple Heart:''' (''English'') "Who do you think I am? I am the main character of the game, Neptune!"
-->'''Purple Heart:''' (''Japanese'') "Who do you think I am? I am the main character of main characters, Neptune!"
* BigEater: Especially when pudding is involved.
* BraidsOfAction: As Purple Heart.
* BreastExpansion: Twice, actually. Whenever Neptune transforms into Purple Heart, she gains a more mature figure, and thus grows out in all the right places. [[spoiler:After Neptune regains her powers, she gains her Processor Units from ''Victory'', complete with larger breasts.]]
* BrutalHonesty: She likes to say it like it is, usually in the most inane way possible though. Specially when it comes to Noire.
* CantDropTheHero: Averted, there's nothing forcing you to put Neptune in the front line, or even in formation at all. [[spoiler:There's even a segment in chapter 3 where she's removed from the party completely.]]
* CallBack: Neptune's hatred of eggplant returns from ''Victory''...despite having no memory to remember she hates it.
* CleavageWindow: As Purple Heart.
* TheComicallySerious: Despite being a LadyOfWar, Purple Heart still has many of Neptune's mannerisms, like loving pudding and getting Arfoire's name wrong.
** After Neptune does her badass boast in Lowee and transforms, Purple Heart then comments that she should have done it in that goddess form.
* CoolBigSis: [[spoiler:Instantly declares her intention to become one upon meeting Nepgear for the first time, in stark (and probably deliberate) contrast to her behavior in ''Victory''.]]
* [[CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass Crouching Ditz, Hidden Goddess]]: To the point that ''no one'' in Planeptune expected their goddess to be such an adorable GenkiGirl.
* DeadpanSnarker: More so in the English version.
* DeclarationOfProtection: Neptune told Noire she wants to protect everyone in front of her, and would be happy just seeing the faces of the people she saved...and pudding.
* DoesNotLikeSpam: As listed further on, she hates eggplant.
* DrivesLikeCrazy: Took Compa as a passenger when they flew in goddess form to Lastation, and apparently traumatized the poor girl. The Barrel Roll, Cuban Eight, and Immelmann didn't help.
* DumbIsGood: It's Neptune's ditziness that helps the other goddesses relax and realize they didn't need to be enemies. Though it should be noted she isn't actually stupid, just carefree and lazy to a point where she can't get any work done without someone forcing her.
* GamerGirl: The reveal of Lady Green Heart being a Gamer Girl is validated by Neptune, also a self-professed Gamer Girl.
* GenkiGirl: Neptune is extremely energetic, especially in the Japanese version.
* TheHero: Unlike in previous installments, where she just goes with the flow (or in ''Victory'', where she's arguably less heroic), the Neptune of ''[=Re;Birth1=]'' is heroic through and through, outright stating she wants to protect everyone around her.
* HeroesPreferSwords: Neptune of course, fights with Swords. She starts with a bokuto, later she uses a bamboo sword, shifts to katanas and then she wields {{BFS}}s.
* HypocriticalHumor: Though it might go unnoticed, Neptune told Compa that a character wielding a giant weapon is cliche...and yet her weapon as Purple Heart is a giant katana. Later on, Neptune herself can also yield swords twice her own size.
* IfItsYouItsOkay: Neptune outright told Noire that, even though they're both girls, if Noire loves her, she'll accept her. Given this is Neptune, how serious she was is debatable.
* InstantExpert: Neptune can wield any weapon ''vaguely shaped'' like a sword. Even when she finds a bokutō in the dumpster, and has no memory of how to fight, she wields it flawlessly.
* UsefulNotes/JapaneseHonorifics: She adds "-chan" on the names of almost every Maker. With the exception of Compa, she calls them I-chan, MAGES.-chan, Marve-chan, Tekken-chan, [=CyberConnect2=]-chan, Falcom-chan and [[OddNameOut Puchiko]].
* LadyOfWar: Her Purple Heart personality.
* LargeHam: Especially in the Japanese version.
* LightningBruiser: Neptune is a pure physical fighter. She has one of the highest STR stats, has high AGI and VIT, a decent amount of HP and she possesses the Passive Skill ''Break Damage Limit'', which allows her to deal damage past the 9999 damage per-hit cap. However, her INT and MEN stats are the lowest, which makes her not only weak against magic attacks, but her own magic attacks are rather weak as well.
* MagneticHero: Her friendly personality and strong will to help other people unites all four goddesses despite their hostile past of the Console War. The Ultradimension Makers also join her party because they are friends with the Neptune they met in ''Victory''.
* MediumAwareness: Lampshades gaming tropes as they happen and often comments on how her "main character" status keeps saving the day.
** After the party splits up in Lastation and she's left alone:
--->'''Neptune:''' "Ahh? Hello? Aren't I supposed to be the Heroine here? Why am I alone then?"\\
'''Neptune:''' ...\\
'''Neptune:''' "You've got to be kidding me, right?! I'm the main in this game!"\\
'''Neptune:''' "To be singled in an even-numbered party is just cruel!" \\
'''Neptune:''' "What should I do?! I can't be a loner like the [[VideoGame/NoMoreHeroes No-More-Heroines]], Noire?!"
** As expected, Noire then appears for a short event. Later, when the party regroups:
--->'''IF:''' "Lucky, as usual. It's like you're [[LeaningOnTheFourthWall scripted to always get the best results...]]"\\
'''Compa:''' "But Nep-Nep did make it easy for us."\\
'''Neptune:''' "Heh, heh! Behold the power of destiny on the side of the main character!"
* MotorMouth: In the Japanese version.
* NiceGirl: For the most part, she's one of the nicest of the [=CPUs=]...
* NoSocialSkills: ...But she seems to lack any sense of tact.
* OddFriendship: Her and Blanc have the least hostile relationship among the [=CPUs=] despite their personalities being complete opposites, and they get along pretty well. This characterization tends to be the consistent throughout the franchise.
* OddNameOut: She's the only one of the four goddesses who is not named after a color.
* OlderAlterEgo: Purple Heart is this to Neptune. Purple Heart is basically a mature, sexier and stronger version of Neptune, which is reflected thtough her physical appearance and voice.
* PokemonSpeak: Despite not being a Pokemon, Neptune engages in this.
-->'''Compa:'''" We'll be serious, then! Go! Nep-Nep, I choose you!"\\
'''Neptune:''' "[[PokemonSpeak Pika!]]"
* PornStash: When she thinks she's dead at the beginning of the game she despairs that she should have finished her game backlog and deleted her hard drive. When Histore tells her to calm down she asks how she can possibly stay calm when someone can see her "special" collections.
* PowerTrio: With Compa and IF.
* PunnyName: The Holy Fang Blade is called "Segatou" in the Japanese version, which includes the name SEGA in it. It fits, since Neptune and Planeptune are based of SEGA consoles.
* PurpleIsPowerful: Has one of the highest strength stats in the game, and is the only character naturally able to surpass the damage limit.
* ShipTease: Unlike the first (and subsequent games) were Neptune's ship tease with Noire is done through supplementary materials, the sexual tension between them in the remake is far more obvious.
* SignatureHairDecs: Her personal class of head accessories is an arsenal of hair decorations, typically based on video games (such as her default D-Pad ones). She even fits the trope of "young girl with double hairclips".
* TheSlacker: Would really like to just laze around playing games and eating pudding all day. Unlike previous incarnations, though, when the chips are down she can be relied upon to keep her butt in gear.
* SplitPersonality: While normally a GenkiGirl as Neptune, Purple Heart is an elegant, no-nonsense LadyOfWar. Unlike other installments, ''[=Re;Birth1=]'' makes a point to distinguish Neptune and Purple Heart as separate personalities, with both personalities occasionally referring to the other as if they were a separate person.
* TakeAThirdOption: Neptune does this as a result of losing her memory. Histoire offers to return it, but she decides not to, as she's gotten friendly with quite a few people with her new personality, and would rather not go back to her former self. [[spoiler:She also does this when the other goddesses are debating the Deep Fry debate in chapter 8. None of them like her stance, and declare "war" on her as well.]]
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: As with every game, Neptune loves pudding; this game, however, explains why. Pudding was the first thing Compa fed Neptune when they met, and the girl had never had it before. She'll even eat an Antidote if it's made in pudding form.
** She even now seems to have a trademark ''least favorite food'', as her loathing of eggplants returns from ''Victory'' despite not having any memory to remember she hates it. And IF and Noire exploit the hell out of it.
* TookALevelInKindness: Compared to her ''Victory'' incarnation. She is much less of an ass, much less lazy, and legitimately loves Nepgear.
* VaporWear: The occasional PantyShot aside, she doesn't seem to have anything on under her default sweater (which is actually a "Parka One-Piece," a dress somehow).
* WeaksauceWeakness: Her low MEN makes her weak against magic attacks.

[[folder:Noire]]
!![[UsefulNotes/{{PlayStation3}} Noire/Black Heart]]
[[quoteleft:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/hdnr1_noire_x.png]]
[[caption-width:350:[-From left to right: '''Noire''' & '''Black Heart'''-] ]]

->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/AsamiImai (Japanese), Creator/ErinFitzgerald (English)

The CPU of Lastation, Noire is a swordmaster with a prickly personality.
----
!!!Tropes associated with Noire/Black Heart:
* {{BFS}}: Her rapiers become one in HDD.
* BloodKnight: Not as Noire, but Black Heart seems to enjoy showing her moves a lot. Not only that, Black Heart is shown to have the most fun when fighting in comparison to the other three [=CPUs=], and she is the only one of the four who is laughing during battles. And she does that a lot.
* ColorfulThemeNaming: "Noire" means "black" in French.
* CosplayOtakuGirl: To hide her identity, she claims that she's cosplaying herself.
* CrutchCharacter: To an extent when she joins in Chapter 2. While the lack of a transformation stops her from adding too much firepower to the party, she comes with a level 2 EX finisher, some nice SP moves, a weapon with wide range and the fourth party member allows experimenting with partner setups.
* {{Expy}}: Somehow, Noire really resembles Azusa from ''Manga/KOn''. Ironic, considering that Azusa's English voice actress voices Nepgear.
** Both Noire and Azusa resemble Kooh from ''Pangya''.
* ForHalloweenIAmGoingAsMyself: When Chian recognizes her as her goddess, Noire tells her that she is cosplaying herself, so she can keep her cover. Then, Noire tries ClarkKenting after that. Ganache and Singe can tell that she is not cosplaying.
* GirlishPigtails: Which helps make the {{Expy}} and {{Tsundere}} examples more prominent.
** Funny enough, while only the Ultradimension version of Black Heart from ''Victory'' keeps them in her goddess form, the Black Heart from this game has almost the exact same sprite as the one from ''Victory'', only with the lack of the pigtails. Her Ultradimension counterpart's processor units can be unlocked for her use, and using any of them will have her keep the pigtails in her goddess form.
* HeroesPreferSwords: Noire has a [[RoyalRapier regal]] twist on this trope.
* {{Irony}}: After the Black Heart boss battle, Black Heart states that Neptune only won because it was a 3-on-1 as Purple Heart was backed by IF and Compa, before saying that 1-on-1, it would be a whole 'nother story. When the 4 [=CPUs=] were battling in the intro, Purple Heart was dominating the fight and it took Black Heart teaming up with Green Heart and White Heart in a 3-on-1 EnemyMine against Purple Heart to get her out of the picture.
* ImpossiblyLowNeckLine: Noire's dress. It does not malfunction. Probably because it's similar to a corsette.
* JackOfAllStats: The most balanced character in the game, being neither strong nor weak at anything. This makes her the perfect allrounder, since she can endure more than Neptune (especially against magic attacks) and Vert, while she can still deal a good amount of damage. Although her LUK is pretty lackluster.
** However, after you reached the highest level cap, Noire eventually beats Neptune in the STR department, but is much slower to her and Vert in comparison. This still doesn't make her a MightyGlacier, as Noire's AGI is still in the middle ground.
* TheLancer: To the slacky, air-headed and energetic Neptune; Noire is more serious, level-headed and competent as a CPU. Also, Noire has problems with befriending people unlike Neptune.
* LargeHam: She tends to be loud and voice her displeasure frequently, especially in the English dub.
* LonersAreFreaks:
** Neptune constantly jokes that she has no friends. Noire panics any time she hears that, and tries to claim that she totally has friends to hang out with.
** When the three other goddesses visit Lastation, Neptune introduces Noire by commenting that she has no friends. While IF reminds the group that Neptune is the only one saying that, the other goddesses comment that it wouldn't be surprising if it were true given Noire's personality.
** Amusingly, in gameplay terms, Noire is the only goddess to not have any friendly relationship with ''any'' of the other goddesses in terms of Lily Rank. At least Vert and Blanc start off neutral and barely favorable to Neptune, respectively.
* NiceGirl: Tsundere personality aside, she's quick to help anyone in danger and is one of the most selfless members of the cast. She spends the most time making sure her nation is well off before eventually joining the party.
* OnlySaneWoman: She and IF share this role; in fact, they hit it off quickly because of this.
* {{Otaku}}: Implied to be one.
* PutOnABus: After her chapter is finished, she leaves the group for a long time. Though the in-game explanation is that she has to take care of the issues plaguing Lastation, the other two goddesses join your group and oddly enough stick with you [[FridgeLogic despite having just as big of a problem to take care of in their lands]]. Then you remember [[FridgeBrilliance Noire doesn't really have a trustworthy subordinate to take care of matters]], unlike Vert who has Yvoire and Ran-Ran, and Blanc who has Financier. Consider, also, that Avenir actually put their people in the Basillicom, and they're the problem Noire's trying to solve.
* ShipTease: Unlike the first game (and subsequent ones before ''[=Re;Birth1=]''), where Noire's ship tease with Neptune is done through supplementary materials, the sexual tension between them in the remake is far more obvious.
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: Which is why Avenir had to fill her basilicom with [[ObstructiveBureaucrat Obstructive Bureaucrats]] to stop her interfering.
* RoyalRapier: Her standard weapon, and her fighting style seems to revolve around fencing.
* SoLongAndThanksForAllTheGear: When Noire joins the party in chapter 2, she will leave at the end...taking any items you equipped along with her. Thankfully, she rejoins the group later on, and [[DevelopersForesight thanks to thoughtful item distribution]] she can only be equipped with one item that cannot be replaced.
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: Just like Neptune, Noire loves pudding. It gets to the point where Neptune and Noire have a contest where the prize is pudding.
* {{Tsundere}}: To a ridiculous extent towards Neptune. The in-game character profile even calls her a "stereotypical Tsundere".
* WakeUpCallBoss: Black Heart in Chapter 2. It doesn't help that you fight her immediately after another boss with no chance to heal or save. She is actually pretty standard for a boss, and players who know what they are doing can beat her a few levels under par.
* WhatYouAreInTheDark: Has an opportunity to finish off an amnesiac Neptune, and even considers it for a moment. She discards the idea quickly as such a thing is beneath her. [[GameplayAndStorySegregation While she is sincere in having a "friendly" challenge against Neptune rather than wanting to outright kill her, if the player loses it is still a game over.]]
* WillfullyWeak: While pretending to be an amnesiac, Noire refuses to use her [=HDD=] form.
* TheWorkaholic: Compared to the other goddesses, anyway. Unlike her previous incarnations, it's not like Noire likes the work itself, she's just dedicated and proactive in running her country.
* WhiteHairBlackHeart: Her name is Black Heart, she has white hair, but this trope is averted.

[[folder:Vert]]
!![[UsefulNotes/{{Xbox360}} Vert/Green Heart]]
[[quoteleft:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/hdnr1_vert_x.png]]
[[caption-width:350:[-From left to right: '''Vert''' & '''Green Heart'''-] ]]

->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/RinaSato (Japanese), Creator/TaraPlatt (English)

The CPU of Leanbox, known for being elegant and refined at all times. She's secretly a hardcore gamer who spends most of her time dodging her duties so that she can play games. She's still a deadly spellcaster, however.
----
!!!Tropes associated with Vert/Green Heart:
* BigBreastPride: Very proud of her rack.
* BoobsAndButtPose: Her victory pose in HDD.
* BreastExpansion: Her HDD makes her breast grow from F-cups to G-cups.
* BroughtDownToNormal: [[spoiler:Very temporarily, when Conversation/Arfoire stole her powers]].
** BadassNormal: During her time as a powerless goddess.
** CantStayNormal: [[spoiler:She quickly regained them with the help of Neptune and friends]].
* ColorfulThemeNaming: "Vert" means "green" in French.
* CowardlyLion: After losing her powers, she hides in her room and plays games all day, despite swiftly proving she was perfectly able to help herself when the party gets involved. [[spoiler:When Arfoire [[BreakThemByTalking calls her on this]] at the climax, she [[ShutUpHannibal calmly admits its true]], but [[CharacterDevelopment has resolved to not be so weak again]].]]
* FragileSpeedster: Her AGI, TEC and LUK are pretty high, and she possesses the Passive Skill ''Cooldown Reduction'' to decrease her wait time, but her low HP and VIT hamper her durability.
* GamerGirl: A big one, and spends as much time as possible playing games. So much so that she often makes Ran-ran and her representative at the Basilicom do the bulk of her work instead.
* TheGenericGirl: For the most part, she's the most normal of the [=CPUs=]
* GenreSavvy: Comes with being an avid gamer in-universe. After being chased away by Blanc/Lady White Heart, they met with the leader of the rebels against Lady White Heart [[spoiler:who is none other than Blanc herself. While everyone else was confused, she immediately knew that the one they are speaking to is the REAL Blanc/Lady White Heart and the one they met before was a fake. A plot-twist that most seasoned gamers would recognize.]]
* HairOfGoldHeartOfGold: Played straight this time around. Unlike past incarnations, which could be quite haughty and selfish under the exterior, Vert's worst sin here is being rather demanding when playing co-op. She even confesses that she doesn't actually care about the Console Wars, and only fights to keep her Shares up.
* ImpossiblyLowNeckLine: Vert's dress. It might work because it is tight around her chest.
* {{Irony}}: Despite being very busty, she's very fast, but is very vulnerable, especially in comparison to the slower, but very durable Blanc.
* LadyOfWar: Her calm personality, formal speech pattern, majestic appearance and strong offensive power makes her this.
* MarshmallowHell: [[BigBreastPride Vert]] to IF, twice. The first time gets its own CG image as she hugs her during a chapter break. The second time, Vert takes advantage of a cramped space to deliberately smother IF in her chest. IF spends the rest of the scene with a dopey expression and lovehearts pouring out of her head.
%%* MsFanservice
* NavelDeepNeckline: An understatement for Green Heart, which has a plunging neckline that goes past her navel.
* {{Otaku}}: She loves video games, anime, manga and movies. Most of the time, she is talking about stuff related to them.
* PhenotypeStereotype: Blonde, blue-eyed, busty American (or European).
%%* Reality Ensues: She actually looks up on the Internet to search for information. %% Not enough context
* TheSmartGirl: She is the goddess who always figures quickly out what is going and is very smart. Makes sense, since she's more a magical fighter, thus her INT (intelligence) is much higher than of the other three goddesses.
* {{Stripperific}}: Green Heart's outfit is this so much.
* TheTease: Loves to fluster IF. She's fairly mild about it, but that's only because of how easy it is for her to press IF's buttons.
* ThisIsADrill: Green Heart's spears transform into these.
* {{Underboobs}}: Played entirely straight in [=HDD=].
* VaporWear: There's clearly no room for a bra under that dress.
* VictoriasSecretCompartment: PlayedForLaughs with Vert. When given a heat pack to help with Lowee's climate, she puts it "between [her] endowments" and goes back to hugging IF.
* VitriolicBestBuds: Mild case with Blanc. They get into a lot of bickering over the game but in the end, they never stop being friends because of it.

[[quoteleft:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/hdnr1_blanc_x.png]]
[[caption-width:350:[-From left to right: '''Blanc''' & '''White Heart'''-] ]]

->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/KanaAsumi (Japanese), Creator/WendeeLee (English)

The CPU of Lowee, Blanc is a foul-mouthed bookworm who dislikes interacting with others.
----
!!!Tropes associated with Blanc/White Heart:
* ACupAngst: BerserkButton is someone pointing out her flat chest or jiggling a larger chest in front of her. At one point she transforms into White Heart to try to cut Vert's breasts off after one too many jiggles. Can actually double as a reference to how Nintendo is frequently derided as kiddie trash, while the Playstation and Xbox counterparts are more heavily stacked (''especially'' the Xbox) since they're the more "cool and mature" consoles.
* AintTooProudToBeg: Outright begs Neptune and the others to help save Lowee. Keep in mind, this includes two Goddesses she had been at war with for centuries. Although she refused their help at first.
* BadassBookworm: She references reading a lot, and has even written some embarrassing novels in her spare time.
* BadButt: In the beginning of the game; mercifully, Blanc never refrains from using her very colourful vocabulary afterwards.
* TheBigGirl: Among the four goddesses, she is the StoneWall, wields a hammer/axe and is the most aggressive one. Sometimes, she also suggests destructions as the resolution of problems.
* BloodKnight: While her White Heart form plays this straight, it's averted (by statement of admission) as Blanc, who claims to prefer negotiation to fighting.
* ClusterFBomb: She can be prone to these from time to time. [[spoiler:She hilariously wins the Q&A contest between her and fake Blanc precisely because of this. She also gets mad at Financier for asking embarrassing questions about her novel writing, which fake Blanc revealed to them earlier.]]
* ColorfulThemeNaming: "Blanc" means "white".
* DeathGlare: Is prone of giving them on other characters.
* DropTheHammer: Blanc's main weapon is a hammer.
* {{Expy}}: HairTriggerTemper, ClusterFBomb, GratuitousGerman, DropTheHammer, GlacierWaif, MadeOfIron? Blanc is pretty much a white [[Anime/MagicalGirlLyricalNanohaAs Vita]].
* GlacierWaif: A petit body? Check. Rather slow? Check! Wielding an oversized weapon? Check!
* GlowingEyesOfDoom: Her eyes glow red when she's really angry.
* GratuitousGerman: Her attacks are in bad German.
* HairTriggerTemper: To say Blanc has a really short fuse is an understatement.
* {{Irony}}: Despite her petite body build, she is much more durable and slower than the other goddesses, especially in contrast to the two busty women [[FragileSpeedster Vert/Green Heart]] and [[GlassCannon Yellow Heart]].
** Despite being an {{Expy}} for the family-friendly Nintendo, her White Heart form is surprisingly foul-mouthed.
* LaResistance: [[spoiler:Leads one to regain her nation from Conversation/Arfoire]].
* NotSoStoic: Most of the time, Blanc appears to be calm, serious and emotionless on the outside, but she gets angry very easily and often ''explodes'' out of rage.
* OutOfCharacterMoment: When she and Vert are trying to seduce the Lastation Basillicom Staff Member, Blanc uses it the "cute little sister" routine, calling him "Onii-chan". Of course, Vert mocks her later for her unexpected performance, with Blanc claiming that she read in a book that some men like that kind of girls.
* RedEyesTakeWarning:
** When Blanc is pissed of, one of her eyes glows red.
** White Heart has red eyes, and they glow as well when she's pissed of.
* SilkHidingSteel: She does her best to appear proper and ladylike, but her White Heart form is violent, foul-mouthed and tomboyish, and even in her civilian form she has a noticable temper.
* StoneWall: Her offense is only decent, but thanks to her high HP, VIT and MEN stats and her Physical Resist + and Magic Resist + skills, she can take a serious beating, moreso than most other physical attackers. [[FridgeBrilliance Which is rather appropiate for the character representing]] [[MadeOfIndestructium the infamously durable Nintendo consoles.]] But she is also the slowest character.
* TookALevelInKindness: Taking a cue from ''Victory'', the Blanc of ''[=Re;Birth1=]'' is much kinder than the Blanc originally featured in the first game (where she spent most of the Lowee segment pursuing Neptune and co., hellbent on killing them), and genuinely cares for her citizens and seems to have a particular soft spot for Financier. Even in her White Heart form, she sincerely thanks [[spoiler:MAGES.]] for saving them in their fight with Ganache. The fact that she is more social than Noire says a lot.
* VitriolicBestBuds: Mild case of this with Vert, 50% because of Blanc's ACupAngst and 50% because of Vert being TheTease about it.

[[folder:Plutia]]
!![[Usefulnotes/SegaGenesis Pururut (Plutia)/Iris Heart]]
[[quoteleft:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/hdnr1_pururut_x.png]]
[[caption-width:350:[-From left to right: '''Plutia''' & '''Iris Heart'''-] ]]
->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/KanaHanazawa (Japanese), Creator/CheramiLeigh (English)

A DLC character who debuted in ''Victory''. Plutia is the CPU of Planeptune in the Ultradimension. She's a kind girl, a sleepy head and is very slow, but she has secretly a sadistic side. She appears nowhere in the story nor in cutscenes.
----
!!!Tropes associated with Plutia/Iris Heart:
* BadassAdorable: Plutia is not only very cute, the way how she fights is also very adorable. She attacks her enemies with plushie dolls, but they are very powerful.
* BloodKnight: Iris Heart seems to enjoy fights... in a sexual manner...
* BreastExpansion: From A-cups to F-cups.
* CombatSadoMasochist: Iris Heart is definitvely a sadist. However, in one of her victory quotes, after having a tough fight, she says that "it feels great"[[note]]In Japanese, the phrase "kimochi ii" is commonly used in sexual context.[[/note]]. Other characters on the other hand would say how tough it was.
* CrutchCharacter: As a DLC character, Plutia is very powerful, and thanks to being a [=CPU=], she becomes very useful after unlocking her in chapter 2 and she will eventually catch up to the other heroes despite starting from level 1. However, her SP moves tend to have high costs, so you cannot rely too much on her alone. Unlike Peashy, Plutia remains useful even after getting all four main Goddesses, thanks to her moveset.
* {{Dominatrix}}: Iris Heart is this all over the place.
* DubNameChange: From Pururut to Plutia.
* HealingHands: She has some healing moves.
* HeroesPreferSwords: Iris Heart uses swords, just like Purple Heart.
* ImprobableWeapon: Plushie dolls.
* LargeHam: Due to her very slow talking, Plutia's lines become this way, especially when she's excited.
* MsFanservice. Definitively as Iris Heart the dominatrix.
* NoblewomansLaugh: Visually shown with her SP Skill Drive Stab. However, you don't hear her laugh.
* OlderAlterEgo: Iris Heart is this to Plutia.
* {{Sadist}}: Of the sexual kind.
* ShockAndAwe: She tends to use lightning moves.
* {{Stripperific}}: Iris Heart's outfit is one of the most stripperific ones.
* {{Understatement}}: States that she could be a tad bit angry a as she goes from a sleepy little girl to a full-fledged dominatrix.
* WhipOfDominance: A WhipSword is her primary weapon and she also carries a separate whip and a riding crop, all to complement her {{Dominatrix}} & {{Sadist}} motif.
* WhipSword: In the anime, she wields a sword that can be used as a whip.
* {{Yandere}}: A costume of her is called this. It's just a color swap costume of her default costume, which is referred to have a "yandere-ish" color.

[[caption-width:350:[-From left to right: '''Peashy''' & '''Yellow Heart'''-] ]]
->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/AoiYuuki (Japanese), Creator/SandyFox (English)

A DLC character who debuted in ''Victory''. Peashy is the CPU of Eden in the Ultradimension. A cheerful and energetic child, but her innocence makes her also a dangerous BloodKnight. She appears nowhere in the story nor in cutscenes.
----
!!!Tropes associated with Peashy/Yellow Heart:
* BadassAdorable: Both forms qualify. Considering her very high STR, she's definitively this.
* BloodKnight: As you can hear her voice during battles, she likes fights very much.
* BoobsOfSteel: Yellow Heart has the largest breasts among the entire cast, surpassing Vert's G-cups and Green Heart's H-cups with her I-Cups. Even though she wears WolverineClaws, Yellow Heart is still a very physical fighter and her claw attacks do resemble Peashy's usual punches and she still uses kicks.
* BreastExpansion: Her HDD makes her grow a lot... and on specific places as well, going from AA-cups to I-cups.
* CheerfulChild: Peashy is this in spades.
* CrutchCharacter: Peashy levels very quickly thanks to her passive ability, and her very high STR makes her a very powerful party member, especially considering the fact that she is a CPU. She will soon outlevel the other characters despite starting from level 1 in chapter 2. However, since she is a GlassCannon, she definitively needs back-up when facing boss characters. In the late game, her moveset turns out to be less useful than the other Goddesses.
* CuteLittleFangs: Both forms have them.
* DiegeticSoundtrackUsage: You're not going to find it in the in-game [=BGM=] listing, and only those who have played ''Victory'' will immediately recognize it, but the music that plays during the [=CG=] animated battle between the four goddesses is Yellow Heart's theme from ''Victory''.
* TheDitz: [[JustifiedTrope Justified]] since she's about five years old (physically and mentally).
* DubNameChange: From Pish to Peashy.
* FragileSpeedster: Besides being a GlassCannon, Peashy has very high AGI, only be beaten by Vert and [=CyberConnect2=].
* GenkiGirl: Is much as energetic as Neptune.
* GlassCannon: She has the highest STR, but lowest VIT. Her HP on the other hand is very high, but she still takes a lot of damage.
* ImpossiblyLowNeckLine: Yellow Heart's costume. Justified, since it's skin-tight.
* LateArrivalSpoiler: She's properly introduced in ''[=Re;Birth3=]'', in which her status as a CPU is originally a twist.
* OlderAlterEgo: Yellow Heart is this to Peashy.
* [[OlderThanTheyLook Older Than She Looks]]: Stopped aging at age 5-6, both [[TokenMiniMoe physically]] and [[TheDitz mentally]].
* [[SeanConneryIsAboutToShootYou Peashy Is About To Glomp You]]: Her victory pose.
* PintsizedPowerHouse: Despite being a little child, Peashy has the highest STR among all playable characters.
* PowerFist: Peashy wears cute gloves, many of them resembling animal paws. They are still very powerful.
* ShoutOut: Many of her attacks are references to ''Franchise/SuperSentai'' moves.
* ThirdPersonPerson: (Japanese only) She refers to herself as "Pii", the first syllable of her name.
* TokenMiniMoe: Peashy is one of the smallest characters.
* UnskilledButStrong: While Peashy has the highest STR in the game, she also has the lowest TEC. She doesn't have a high number of SP Skills and most of them are just damage attacks with no additional side effects.
* WholeCostumeReference: Peashy's bee outfit is a reference to the Hudson Soft bee mascot.
* WolverineClaws: Yellow Heart has a pair of them.
* WomanChild: Since her personality barely changes after transforming, Yellow Heart is as childish as Peashy.

[[https://store.steampowered.com/app/319012/Hyperdimension_Neptunia_ReBirth1_Uzume_Battle_Entry/ A Steam-exclusive DLC character]] who debuted in ''Megadimension Neptunia VII''. A CPU that was trapped within the Zerodimension. Despite her blunt personality, deep down, Uzume is loyal and passionate. She appears nowhere in the story nor in cutscenes.
----
* CrutchCharacter: Uzume completely lacks natural Passive Abilities, Partner Attacks, or Formation Skills, and her regular skills have low power and will inevitably be outclassed by the main characters. However, her rush attack combo is perfect for raising the EXE gauge quickly, she starts with a Revival skill, and (like the other DLC goddesses) she's a CPU that can join the party as early as Chapter 2.
* VersionExclusiveContent: It's impossible to use her in the original UsefulNotes/PlaystationVita version of ''[=Re;Birth1=]'', as her DLC was exclusive to the UsefulNotes/{{Steam}} version[[note]]She is also included in ''[=reVerse=]'' for UsefulNotes/PlayStation5, as is every other formerly-DLC character[[/note]].

!!CPU Candidates

[[folder:General CPU Candidate Tropes]]
The CPU Candidates are the younger sisters of Neptune, Noire and Blanc, respectively. As a secondary result of the miraculous increase of Shares, four new Goddesses were born for Planeptune, Lastation and Lowee. Like their older sisters, the CPU Candidates have the ability to transform into their Goddess forms. They assists their sisters at their work. The Candidates have to be unlocked by specific plans.
----
!!!Tropes associated with the CPU Candidates:
* TheAgeless: Like their sisters, they don't age and they were born the way they look. But since they are newly born, they aren't Really700YearsOld.
* BigSisterWorship: All of them worship their older sisters a lot.
* DemotedToExtra: They appear in the last chapter of the story and have only two to three cutscenes. Justified, since the game is the remake of the original game where they didn't exist.
* ExoticEyeDesigns: All [=CPUs=] and CPU Candidates have a power symbol in their eyes when in HDD.
* EyeColorChange: The HDD changes their eye colors, just like their sisters.
* {{Flight}}: They can fly in their goddess forms.
* MoeAnthropomorphism: Of various handhelds.
* PhysicalGod: They basically are the same as their sisters. The major differences are their status as not being the reigning [=CPUs=] and their strength.
* PowerDyesYourHair: The HDD changes their hair color.
* PowerGivesYouWings: The HDD adds them wings if you have equipped them as Processor Units parts. Their wings are smaller than their sisters' though.
* PowerMakesYourVoiceDeep: Most noticeble with Black Sister, followed by White Sister Ram. Purple Sister and White Sister Rom's voices barely change.
* SecretCharacter: Once you reached chapter 8 of your first playthrough, you can get plans to unlock them. There are three plans for the four of them. To unlock the plans, the Shares of Planeptune, Lastation or Lowee, respectively, must be at least 35%. Then you have to get the needed materials for the plans and the respective Shares must be at least 50%. Each plan needs 1024MB to be activated.
* SiblingTeam: They can perform Coupling Moves with their sisters. Strangely enough, however, is that Nepgear has a Coupling Move with Vert, even though this move was carried over from ''Victory'' and the coupling move was between Nepgear and Vert's Ultradimension counterpart.
* SixthRanger: Like the DLC [=CPUs=], they have no relevance for the story and only appear in specific cutscenes that does not effect the main story. They are basically ghost characters in your party. Oddly enough, if you unlocked any of them, they will be in your party from the beginning in NewGamePlus. However, [[spoiler:unlocking the Candidates is required to achieve the True Ending]].
* SuperMode: The CPU Candidates have access to HDD.
* TransformationIsAFreeAction: The same rules with their sisters and the DLC [=CPUs=].
* WalkingSpoiler: Their presence in this game makes it impossible not to talk about them without not spoiling anyone.

The CPU Candidate of Planeptune and the younger sister of Neptune. Nepgear is much more mature and serious than her sister and does most of Neptune's job as a CPU.
----
!!!Tropes associated with Nepgear/Purple Sister:
* TheAce: She's shown to be good at everything since she's more smart, mature and shy compared to the slacky, air-headed and energetic Neptune.
* FoolishSiblingResponsibleSibling: The reliable sibling to the foolish Neptune.
* GunBlade: Her weapon in her goddess form.
* HealingHands: She learnt healing spells from Rom.
* HeroOfAnotherStory: Her Hyperdimension counterpart is the main character in her [[VideoGame/HyperdimensionNeptuniaMk2 debut game.]] [[spoiler:This is mentioned by her in the True Ending.]]
* JackOfAllStats: Is this in huge contrast to Neptune. Nepgear's stats are very balanced.
%%* LaserBlade:
* PowerMakesYourHairGrow: Her HDD does this.
* RoseHairedSweetie: As Purple Sister.
* {{Stripperific}}: Her personal Processor Units, the Lilac line, ''[=Lilac-Mk2=]'' and ''[=Mk3=]'' and ''Prototype Lilac'', are just pairs of bikinis, long gloves and stockings, different from the more conservative StarterEquipment, plain [[https://neptunia.fandom.com/wiki/Processor_Unit/Victory_II/Lilac Lilac]], which does cover her midriff.
* WaveMotionGun: Her EXE Drives do this in the end.

[[caption-width:350:[-From left to right: '''Uni''' & '''Black Sister''' -] ]]
->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/EriKitamura (Japanese), Creator/SarahWilliams (English)

The CPU Candidate of Lastation and the younger sister of Noire. A tsundere who tries her best to support her older sister.
----
!!!Tropes associated with Uni/Black Sister:
* {{BFG}}: Her guns become these when she transforms.
* BreastExpansion: Inverted. She goes from B to A while transforming.
* GirlishPigtails: Like Noire, Uni has them as well. For being tsundere, no less.
* TheGunslinger: She uses guns as her weapons.
* JackOfAllStats: Like Noire, Uni's stats are also very balanced.
* ShrinkingViolet: Her cutscenes shows how shy Uni is towards her sister.
* SiblingYinYang:
** Averted. She is very similar to Noire in terms of personality ''and'' looks.
** However, that does not apply to their fighting styles. Noire is a close-ranged swordswoman, while Uni is a long-ranged gunner.
* SmallGirlBigGun: As Black Sister.
* {{Stripperific}}: Her Processor Unit ''Generation'' is just pairs of a bikini, long gloves and stockings. Despite she starts with her Processor Unit ''Cradle'', Black Sister's sprite depicts her with ''Generation'' (or ''New Cradle'').
* {{Tsundere}}:
** Towards the [[BreakingTheFourthWall player]]. Her chirper events and the description of her moves and weapons are full of tsundere lines. [[spoiler:She also reacts like this in the True Ending when she gives the player her gratitude.]]
** Uni's Coupling Move with Nepgear also counts.
* WaveMotionGun: Some of her moves.
* WhiteHairBlackHeart: Also averted like Black Heart.

->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/YuiOgura (Rom) & Creator/KaoriIshihara (Ram) (Japanese), Creator/CarrieKeranen (Rom) & Creator/ShelbyLindley (Ram) (English)

A pair of twins who are the CPU Candidates of Lowee and the younger sisters of Blanc. Despite their childish personalities, they do their best to help their sister.
----
!!!Tropes associated with Rom and Ram/the White Sisters:
* AlwaysIdenticalTwins: Physically, you can destiguish them by their hair length. Ram has longer hair than Rom.
* BlackMagicianGirl: Ram is more offensive than Rom and has in fact more INT than Rom. Her MEN on the other hand is lower than Rom's.
* BreastExpansion: They go from AA-Cups to A-Cups.
* ColorCodedCharacters: To distinguish them better, Rom wears blue while Ram wears pink. This is reflected by their hair colors after they transform.
* CheerfulChild: Ram is this since she's energetic.
** Rom is also made to this too when she's not being shy.
* GenkiGirl: Ram is always energetic.
* HealingHands: Rom has healing moves and is pretty much on par with Compa.
* AnIcePerson: Both of them use ice magic.
* MagicWand: Their wands are actually giant pencils.
* ThePollyanna: Ram is usually this in spades.
* RoseHairedSweetie: Ram as White Sister.
* ShrinkingViolet: Rom is very shy and has a quiet voice.
* SingleMindedTwins: Played with. They do have different personalities, but their have the same interests, wear twin-themed clothes, have almost the exact same movesets and you unlock both of them at once, as if their basically one character. However, their same SP Skills have different strengths, different effects and different costs.
* SiblingTeam: With Blanc, either as duos or as a trio. They and Blanc are the only characters to have a Formation Skill.
* SiblingYinYang: Rom is a ShrinkingViolet while Ram is a GenkiGirl. Rom's quietness and Ram's loudness reflect both extreme aspects of Blanc's personality.
* SquishyWizard: They have strong INT and MEN, but they are weak physically.
* TagTeamTwins: Basically how they are meant to be used. But you can decide if you want to have both of them in your battle party or not.
* ThrowTheBookAtThem: What Ram does to Blanc when they first meet, [[HairTriggerTemper much to the latter's ire]].
* WhiteMagicianGirl: While Rom has offensive spells, she's more a healer. In fact, her offensive spells are taught by Ram.

!!Makers

[[folder:General Maker Tropes]]
The Makers are playable human characters who support the [=CPUs=] during the story and are much as heroes as the goddesses. Particularly Compa and IF, who have been formed a PowerTrio formation with Neptune since the beginning of the game.
----
!!!Tropes associated with the Makers in general:
* BigDamnHeroes: Just about each of them get a scene in chapter 7 [[spoiler:saving the party against the Fake [=CPUs=]]].
* ChekhovsGunman: You meet them all in the early chapters, but they only become playable much later.
* FishOutOfTemporalWater: All of them except IF and Compa are from another dimension.
* MoeAnthropomorphism: Of video game producers and other companies... or franchises.
* OvershadowedByAwesome: In most settings these characters would be considered fairly powerful. Only problem is they're working with a bunch of PhysicalGods.
* SoLongAndThanksForAllTheGear: Save for IF and Compa, all the Makers are guilty of this during Chapter 7. But thankfully they return at the end of Chapter 7 with all the gear they had before leaving the party.
* SuspiciouslySimilarSubstitute: Since Gust, Nisa, 5pb. and RED are not in this game, they are replaced by Makers who appeared in ''Victory''. TokenMiniMoe Broccoli replaces TokenMiniMoe Gust, {{Ninja}} [=MarvelousAQL=] replaces {{Ninja}} Nisa, MAGES. replaces her older sister 5pb., and redhead Falcom replaces redhead RED.
* UndyingLoyalty: Towards Neptune for the ones from ''Victory''.

[[quoteleft:225:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Compa_3870.jpg]]
->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/KanakoSakai (Japanese), Creator/CristinaVee (English)

A nurse in training who finds Neptune stuck in the ground. She can be almost as ditzy as Neptune at times.
----
!!!Tropes associated with Compa:
* AbnormalAmmo: Most of her magic combos are described as her firing a pressurized jet of the liquid in her syringe.
* {{BFG}}/{{BFS}}: Big Freakin Syringe as gun-like weapon to be exactly. Neptune even lampshades that carrying a huge weapon is a cliché.
* CombatMedic: Self-explanatory. However, she's weak offensively, but is very good with healing people.
* TheDitz: Shockingly, less so then Neptune. Not that that's saying much.
* FountainOfYouth: [[https://store.steampowered.com/app/979131/Hyperdimension_Neptunia_ReBirth1__Babysitters_Club/ "Babysitter's Club" DLC]] for this installment and ''[=Re;Birth2=]'' adds child versions of herself and IF as playable characters.
* GeniusDitz: As said in her description, she nearly reaches Neptune levels of ditziness, yet she came up with the idea of making an Antidote Pudding for Neptune as a sure-fire way to give the antidote to her. [[spoiler:And she also managed to successfully sneak on Arfoire to snatch Histoire from her hands.]]
* GirlyRun: When you assign her as the leader, she runs like this.
* HospitalHottie: Compa returns in all her bodacious glory.
* TheKidWithTheRemoteControl: 90% of the time Neptune transforms, it's because Compa asked.
* MyGreatestFailure: When asked to help make the antidote for Neptune, Compa doesn't think she can help because [[spoiler:she failed nursing school and doesn't think she could do something so important]].
* NiceGirl: She's the least violent girl.
* {{Necromancer}}: She can learn SP Skills of reviving your party members.
* PlayingWithSyringes: They also double as guns.
* PowerTrio: With Neptune and IF.
* RoseHairedSweetie: Her strawberry-blonde hair is described as pink, and she's a NiceGirl.
* TeamMom: And it's hard not to think of her interactions with Neptune as a mother doting on her cute child.
* TomboyAndGirlyGirl: Compa's the Girly Girl to to IF's Tomboy.
* VerbalTic: "Desu" in the Japanese script. Almost completely absent in the translation, although she keeps the EX Finisher "Desu Desu Desu!" and will frequently yell out "Desu" upon jumping in the field when assigned as leader.
* VictoriasSecretCompartment: Addressed when Compa brings out her giant syringe, and Neptune can't quite fathom where it came from. Of course, Neptune's idea of where Compa stored it could be different...
* WithCatlikeTread: She sees the opportunity to sneak up behind Arfoire in Chapter 6, all while quietly saying "sneaky sneaky" as she goes along. Her "sneaky sneaky's" get more agitated just before she strikes.
* WorstAid: Compa's still only a medical student, and while she tries, she has her occasional mishaps. Such as bandaging Neptune's wounds so tight she couldn't breathe. GameplayAndStorySegregation kicks in during battle, as she has the best healing skills in the game save for DLC Characters, and one of the highest EN scores as well. It turns out [[spoiler:Compa actually flunked out of nursing school before the start of the game. She re-enrolls in the ending.]]

->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/KanaUeda (Japanese), Creator/KateHiggins (English game), Creator/MeganShipman (English anime)

An adventurer with no Land to call home, "Iffy" (I-chan) is more serious than Neptune and Compa.
----
!!!Tropes associated with IF:
* ACupAngst: Gets this upon meeting Older and Younger brother, especially when Neptune betrays her and transforms to gain their favor. She then gets apathetic and grim, to the point of calling Vert [[CallBack Thunder Tits]]. Luckily, Vert manages to cheer her up.
* AwesomeButImpractical: IF's Le Delphinus (think Sprenger from ''Manga/{{Bleach}}''). It's a brilliant move, very powerful, and creates a giant pillar of light that damages the opponent, and if you're lucky, seals their skills. But using it drains so much SP that IF can't use it more than once at lower levels.
* BishieSparkle: When she gets too passionate about something. Prime examples are when she's fighting the Fake Purple Hearts, seeing them as a way to finally vent her Neptune-induced stress, and when Vert breaks her out of her ACupAngst by listing all the qualities that make her Vert's precious Iffy.
* BrokenPedestal: PlayedForLaughs. Her image of Vert takes a battering when she finds out what she's really like. Unlike Ganache and his worshipping of White Heart[=/=]Blanc, though, IF still admires Vert as much as she did before. Vert also doesn't seem to have a problem with that.
* DidYouJustFlipOffCthulhu: IF does this to Arfoire late in the game, [[spoiler:after she has stolen or copied all of the goddess's powers, and brought Momus to life]]. This distraction gives enough time for Compa to sneak towards her and steal the tome Arfoire was carrying [[spoiler:which contained Histoire.]]
* DualWielding: With either qatars or outright WolverineClaws.
* {{Fangirl}}: Vert's.
* FightingForAHomeland: Despite following Purple Heart, IF isn't a citizen of any land. [[spoiler:Yvoire makes her seriously consider poisoning Neptune by offering her citizenship in Leanbox.]]
* FountainOfYouth: [[https://store.steampowered.com/app/979131/Hyperdimension_Neptunia_ReBirth1__Babysitters_Club/ "Babysitter's Club" DLC]] for this installment and ''[=Re;Birth2=]'' adds child versions of herself and Compa as playable characters.
* FragileSpeedster: IF has very AGI, her STR is decent, and her VIT and INT are slightly decent. Her MEN on the other hand is very low, and in the end, she has the lowest HP of all characters.
* FreudianExcuse: When battling the fake Purple Heart, IF seems to develop some BishieSparkle and seems a bit too excited in beating them up. Neptune [[LampshadeHanging lampshades]] this, but no doubt IF is enjoying venting her frustrations with Neptune on the fakes.
* InSeriesNickname: Is called "Iffy" (I-chan)[[note]]pronounced "Ai-chan"[[/note]] by some characters.
* KnowledgeBroker: If the party is lost as to where to go next, expect IF to break out one of her phones to get in contact with her information network so they can know where to go next.
* MsImagination: The descriptions for some of her attacks note that she has a mild case of eighth-grader syndrome.
* [[OnlySaneMan Only Sane Girl]]: She's the most normal and level-headed of the bunch.
* PowerTrio: With Neptune and Compa.
* StraightMan: Tends to be a lot calmer and more levelheaded then Compa and Neptune. Of course, this is strictly relative. Her ability description and battle quotes are hilariously over-the-top.
* TeamDad: And it's very easy to imagine the trio's dynamic as Compa being the "mother" that spoils their "child" Neptune while IF tries to keep her in check and responsible.
* TookALevelInKindness: IF is remarkably less cold to Neptune and Compa upon meeting them than she was in the first game. After running into them, she calmly introduces herself, and when asked to join, accepts with little hesitation, without insisting that she's the leader.
* WolverineClaws: Some of her weapons are the stereotypical Wolverine Claws, but even her katars are part of this trope.

* HeroOfAnotherStory: She is an adventurist who even has her own written books based on her adventures.
* HeroesPreferSwords: She uses {{BFS}}s that slay dragons.
* RedIsHeroic: Red hair is her main theme. Neptune even referred to her as an "I'm-going-on-an-adventure"-looking girl the first time she meets Falcom in Lastation.
* SpinAttack: Several of her moves have this.
* SwordPlant: Part of her victory pose.
* TheReliableOne: Called as such by [=MarvelousAQL=] and MAGES. when they're stopping the Fake Purple Heart.

* BlackMagicianGirl: A very offensive mage type character.
* CatchPhrase: "Loohcs tneve emag noitamina cisum".
* {{Chuunibyou}}: In the Japanese dialogue during the Lastation Tech Expo, Noire outright accuses her of such.[[note]]It's the line that's translated and dubbed as "Yeah, yeah, blah, blah blah.....". The original Japanese line would actually translate to "Yeah, whatever you damned chuuni....."[[/note]]
* CutscenePowerToTheMax: MAGES. destroys an entire production line of machines easily before joining the party to fight one more. While her magic does melt its armor easily, it's not the carnage that was heard off-screen when she destroyed them from the inside. Immediately lampshaded when she remarks after the battle that her normal techniques are much less efficient.
* {{Expy}}: She claims to come from a parallel world, has a love of [[BlandNameProduct what's basically]] [[TrademarkFavoriteFood Dr. Pepper]], and speaks to "an organization" with nonsense code words. [[VisualNovel/SteinsGate Rintarou Okabe is that you?]]
** She also calls Noire her "assistant." Noire reacts exactly like [[Creator/AsamiImai Makise]] [[ActorAllusion Kurisu.]]
** And on top of that she directly mentions having invented a microwave oven that turns bananas and people into jelly, a fairly blatant reference to ''VisualNovel/SteinsGate''.
** Her alternate costumes straight-up announce they're based off ''Steins;Gate'' characters.
* TheGhost: MAGES. sometimes mentions that a certain person would might be hurt if said person learns that something bad would happen to Neptune. We don't know who she means, but she might refer to her sister 5pb..
* InsistentTerminology: "It's MAGES. with a period." No exceptions. Which is probably a nod towards the name of studio 5pb., developer of the Science Adventure series/universe in which ''Steins;Gate'' takes place.
* RobeAndWizardHat: Wears a white coat with a black witch hat.
* SquishyWizard: For most of the game, she's the only character who always has access to several elements of magic damage no matter what, but has mediocre HP and physical defense like tissue paper.
* VocalEvolution: Her voice becomes deeper during the game.

* BareFistedMonk: Other than using basic gloves, she fights unarmed. Her "weaponry" equipments are just titles, which means she literally gets stronger when she's holding a higher ranked title.
* {{Expy}}: She's based of Jin Kazama from ''VideoGame/{{Tekken}}''.
* FashionableAsymmetry: Her right trouser leg is ridiculously short and she has a bracelet on her right leg.
* {{Stripperiffic}}: Her outfit is based of one of Jin Kazama's costumes, but ironically, she has more clothes on her than [[WalkingShirtlessScene him]]. Her trousers are torn however, revealing her stripped panties.

* AnimalEaredHeadband: Actually a hat.
* DualWielding: She uses Twin Daggers.
* {{Expy}}: Her design and character is based of Kite from ''Franchise/DotHack'' and of ''Manga/{{Naruto}}'', with the color theme of the company she is based on. Said company is best known for its ''.hack'' franchise and ''Naruto: Ultimate'' series.
* GogglesDoNothing: She wears a pair of them for no apparent reason.
* LittleBitBeastly: Subverted. The ears and tail are fake.
* {{Otaku}}: Her profile describes her as a vivid fan of manga and video games. Apparently, she's so deep into them that she tries to become a heroine like those in these media. Her profile states that she is more heroic than Neptune herself.
* OverlyLongName: While in the English dialogues, it's shortened to [=CC2=], she is called by her full name in the Japanese dialogues. Neptune even adds "-chan" on her name.
* SpotlightStealingSquad: In-Game with Noire when the party is tracking the Fake Black Heart, which gets lampshaded by Neptune.

* BigDamnHeroes: She arrives just in time to back up the party against Avenir's berserk Hard Breaker. Neptune even lampshades it. Unlike the other Makers, though, Marvelous's appearance comes completely out of nowhere with no prior introduction to her character.
* CleavageWindow: Expected considering the series she is based on, she has a window in her chest to expose her cleavage.
* ExoticEyeDesigns: Musical notes on her irises.
* InSeriesNickname: Goes by Marvey ("Marve-chan") in conversation.
* InsistentTerminology: Inverted. Her equipment and skills descriptions use every synonym in the book for "ninja"... ''except'' [[VideoGame/SenranKagura shinobi]].
* {{Ninja}}: Of the [[HighlyVisibleNinja Highly-Visible variety.]]
* OverlyLongFightingAnimation: Has probably the most long-winded solo [[LimitBreak EXE Drive]] in the game. The fact it's staged like the special attacks from ''VideoGame/SenranKagura'' (which have distinct setup and execution animations) contributes to this.
* ShoutOut[=/=]{{Expy}}: Would fit right in the world of ''VideoGame/SenranKagura'', which is produced by Marvelous Entertainment.
* SigilSpam: Her IdiotHair and a flourish during her EXE Drive both form the Marvelous AQL logo.
* {{Stripperiffic}}: Essentially one button away from dressing like [[VideoGame/SenranKagura Katsuragi.]]

[[folder:Arfoire]]

[[quoteleft:225:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Arfoire_7217.png]]

->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/ChiakiTakahashi (Japanese), Creator/LauraPost (English)

The BigBad, who captured Histoire and set the other goddesses to team up against Neptune in order to weaken the whole.
----
!!!Tropes associated with Arfoire:
* AnnoyingLaugh: Not opinionated, the characters [[LampshadeHanging in game]] find Arfoire's laugh to be annoying and it's the way she announces herself half the time!
* AssimilationBackfire: The first time she uses her PowerCopying turns it into a double-edged sword, when she accidentally copied Compa and suffered a severe de-powering and minor personality change because of it. Unfortunately it turns out keeping powers is voluntary. [[spoiler:This also applies to copying the original Goddess's powers, which drove her insane.]]
* BeautyEqualsGoodness: [[spoiler:Just compare how she looks when she's a villain to how she looks [[http://imgur.com/sMHdrAV after Neptune reformed her in True End]]...]]
* BigBad: She's responsible for all the bad things that happen in the story.
* DigitalPiracyIsEvil: The personification of this. Her Japanese name "Magiquone" is a play on "Magicon", the name used for flash carts for the ''UsefulNotes/NintendoDS'', while her localized name "Arfoire" is a play on the popular flash cart R4. Flash carts for the DS are cartridges that can be easily loaded with downloaded games and other applications and used in a plug-and-play fashion. There are even {{mooks}} throughout the game named after DS flash carts, such as R4, M3, and DSTT, complete with drops of "Illegal" hardware and software.
** Interestingly, [[spoiler:her backstory actually veers into DigitalPiracyIsOkay, since the reason she's with the Quartet who defeated the original Goddess is because she's capable of absorb/copy the Goddess' power and use that to create the current 4. She does become a villain later, but that wasn't her choice]].
* DirtyCoward: Arfoire is more likely to send an accomplice in to do battle than actually fight Neptune and company herself — even using machines that jam items and abilities so she gains the upper hand. Justified, as Arfoire is not particularly powerful and spends the game in a constant power contest with Neptune's growing party. When she picks a fight, it's only because she thinks she can win.
* DubNameChange: From Magiquone to Arfoire.
* EvilIsHammy: She sure is hammy in an evil way.
* EvilLaugh: Of the very obnoxious kind.
* FallenHero: [[spoiler:Arfoire was originally a hero who helped the other 4 in fighting the old Goddess, then after the Goddess is defeated (with the other 4 heroes perished in the process), Arfoire copied her power and use that to create the current 4 goddesses, and help raising them with Histoire until she was driven insane by the original Goddess' insanity.]]
* HeroicWillpower: [[spoiler:And even then, she held out against the corruption for ''centuries'' before finally succumbing and causing trouble only a few years before the start of the game.]]
* ILied: Late in the game, Arfoire defeats your party again. Every single character tells Neptune to make a break for it, as Arfoire is obviously after her goddess power. Neptune decides to give up her power instead, as Arfoire promises not to harm the others if she gives up her power. And after Neptune's power is stolen, Arfoire retracts her promise, stating that GoodIsDumb. [[spoiler:Fortunately IF and Compa manage to steal the tome Arfoire is carrying which contains Histoire, and they manage to successfully escape.]]
* TheMinionMaster: [[spoiler:Arfoire created the Enemy Discs, and can use them as well as leave them in dungeons to attack the player. Worse still, she can create [[EvilKnockoff fake CPUs]] like in chapter 7. She isn't this during battle though.]]
* MasterOfDisguise: Her "Copy" powers can be used to mimic others' appearances and mannerisms completely [[spoiler:like when she posed as Blanc to take over Lowee]].
* NiceJobFixingItVillain:
** Avenir is a very good front for her... when she's not trying to run it. [[spoiler:Forcing the CPU Breaker to be deployed [[UnfinishedUntestedUsedAnyway before it was done with testing]] completely cripples Avenir's stranglehold on Lastation.]]
** Convincing the goddesses to gang up on Purple Heart and cast her out of Celestia turned out to be [[ForWantOfANail the nail that set into motion the chain of events that ended in her downfall]], as it allowed Neptune to befriend the other [=CPUs=] and uniting them against Arfoire.
* ParentalSubstitute: [[spoiler:Before going nuts, she shared this role with Histoire to the four goddesses.]]
* PowerCopying: Arfoire's specialty. She absorbs the abilities of anyone she targets and then can replicate them perfectly, [[spoiler:even right down to transforming into their Goddess forms.]] Even worse, if the power is retrieved, Arfoire still maintains a copy that she can alter to her whims.
* SparedByTheAdaptation: [[spoiler:In the True End, Neptune is able to successfully save her from her corruption and bring her home to give her a chance to redeem herself.]]
* TreacherousAdvisor: Arfoire plays this role to the Goddesses while in Celestia. This is the reason why they cast Neptune from Celestia, as opposed to the first game, where it was decided on a whim.
* WithGreatPowerComesGreatInsanity: [[spoiler:Unlike the original game's Arfoire, who was the original Goddess, this Arfoire was originally a human who had copied the original Goddess's power while assisting a group of heroes. Unfortunately her madness was copied as well, and eventually changed Arfoire into what she is in game.]]
* VillainBall: Almost completely averted. Only ''once'' does Arfoire do anything dumb. [[spoiler:And even then, she gets what she wants.]]

!!!Tropes associated with Histoire:
* BigGood: She's the one who helps guide Neptune after she lost her memories, and she's the one who set's off the quest to save Gamindustri.
* ExpectingSomeoneTaller: Neptune had this reaction on their first meeting. Understandable since her SpiritAdvisor voice sounds like a mature woman, but when she is finally released she looks and sounds like the TokenMiniMoe.
* ExpositionFairy: Histoire fulfills this role, as well as a kind of SpiritAdvisor due to her sealed state. It helps that she looks like an actual fairy.
* OnlySaneMan: Plays this role when guiding the four [=CPUs=]. It's most noticeable in the event before opening the [[VeryDefinitelyFinalDungeon Road to Celestia.]]
* PintsizedPowerhouse: She's the size of a large tome. But as a playable character, said large tome allows her to unleash a magical hell on the enemy's sorry hide. Her EXE Finisher is also one of the strongest in the game.
* PromotedToPlayable: Histoire was always just a supporting NPC until this game, where she is a playable DLC Character.
* SpiritAdvisor: Histoire fulfills the former role to Neptune and her group.

* BrokenPedestal: Played a bit more seriously than IF's, but still for laughs. He doesn't take the fact that Lady White Heart he reveres is actually quite foul-mouthed, to the level of severe denial when presented with the fact (and with Blanc actually being there).
* CompositeCharacter: Of Ganache and Jade from the original game. Like the original Ganache, he's a corrupt businessman who is the main antagonist of the gang's adventures in Lastation and often stays one step ahead of them. However, he worships Lady White Heart instead of the goddess of his land, much like Jade.

[[folder:Yvoire]]
!!Yvoire

Vert's chamberlain, reduced to doing all the work while she plays games.
----
!!!Tropes associated with Yvoire:
* AccidentalMisnaming: A victim of this at the hands of Neptune and Compa, successively: They mishear his name as Eviler and then Evilest, [[RunningGag similar to how people at Lastation's Basilicom and Compa herself couldn't pin down Neptune's name and Noire's name took some time for Neptune to say correctly]].
* AdaptationalHeroism: While he retains his basic role from the original game where he is also manipulated by Conversation, in this game he's not as villainous as in the original game and is even more of a victim of Conversation's evil schemes. In the original, he was motivated to increase Leanbox's power, even if he had to kill Neptune to weaken Planeptune. In this game, he's tricked by Conversation into believing that Neptune is a Messenger of Overlord Momus after seeing a false proof.
* CassandraTruth: He doesn't first want to believe that the PowerTrio are Messengers of Overlord Momus. Conversation has to make a fake proof to convince him.
* NoodleIncident: The way Vert "asked" him to apologize after all the trouble he caused.
* PunnyName: Yvoire looks a lot like Ivory. And again, look at his hair colour.
* UnwittingPawn: [[spoiler:He poisons and imprisons Neptune for spreading Momus worship and Enemy Discs, not knowing that Arfoire/Conversation was behind it.]]
* WellIntentionedExtremist: Is very willing to do questionable things for Lady Green Heart, without her knowledge. * {{Gonk}}: While presumably mostly human, her portrait has a pig mask over her face.
* JapaneseRanguage: It's spelled Ran-Ran, but it's pronounced "Rlan Rlan" or "Lan-Lan," even in the English game.
* LittleMissSnarker[=/=]DeadpanSnarker: In one blink-and-you-miss-it moment. When stalling Conversation[=/=] Arfoire so the party can catch up to her, Ran Ran calls her and old lady, this gem takes place:
-->'''Conversation:''' Who are you calling an old lady!? \\
'''Ran-Ran:''' (´・ω・`)o(MIRROR)
* SpannerInTheWorks: Arfoire certainly didn't expect her snatching back Vert's HDD powers. Were it not for that, the party would have definitely been finished off.

[[folder:The Brothers]]
!!Older Brother & Younger Brother

A pair of perverted brothers obsessed with big breasts.
----
!!!Tropes associated with The Brothers.
* AscendedExtra: Originally a pair of side characters for [=NISA=]'s events, and mentioned in a few quests, the Brothers are now assistants of Blanc's and, later, Vert's.
* AssholeVictim: [[LovableSexManiac Lovable Sex Maniacs]] they may be, they had coming every single punishment they suffer in the game, and it's ''hilarious'' no matter what it is.
* ChivalrousPervert: Both of them, although Older Brother is more gentlemanly than the more passionate Younger Brother.
* CoolAndUnusualPunishment: As punishment for fooling around with the Fake Green Heart, the Brothers are made to assist Vert in clearing her gaming backlog. Or as Vert puts it, they get "saturated in [[YaoiGenre BL]]". Older Brother breaks quickly, and starts trying to seduce Younger Brother before the scene cuts away.
* HeelFaceRevolvingDoor: The Brothers' exact allegiance is based on the bust size of whoever is in question. This leads to a scene where they end up betraying Blanc to Arfoire, only to promptly betray her once Vert shows up not even a minute later. And then betraying Vert to the Fake Green Heart, and back to Vert after the CoolAndUnusualPunishment above.
* LovableSexManiac: The entire ''basis'' of their character. They are absolutely loyal to those with the greatest bust size, and thus at a certain point in the story, they move to Leanbox for Vert. While there, they do some.... hilariously questionable things in Vert's empty room. Vert immediately activates HDD and returns to Leanbox to "destroy some unwanted intruders."
-->'''Neptune:''' "Later, we hear screams of agony from the cell that Vert left behind..."
* OnlyKnownByTheirNickname: For once, the given names aren't the actual names after IF lampshades their ridiculous introduction; they just go by these pseudonyms. Of course, considering how easily the goddesses present themselves by their human names, they're fairly useless fake names.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Fake [=CPUs=]]]
!!Fake Purple Heart, Fake Black Heart, Fake Green Heart & Fake Blanc/White Heart
-->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/RieTanaka (Fake Purple Heart), Creator/AsamiImai (Fake Black Heart), Creator/RinaSato (Fake Green Heart) & Creator/KanaAsumi (Fake Blanc/White Heart)

The copies and fakes of the real [=CPUs=]. Created by Arfoire, their mission is to find the Legendary Weapons and to destroy them. However, their personalities are quite flawed.
----
!!!Tropes associated with the Fake [=CPUs=]:
* ActionBomb: Done by Fake Black Heart, [[spoiler:and effectively destroying the Dual Revolver of Lastation]].
* AntiVillain: Fake Green Heart has no interest in seeking the Legendary Weapon, even if it's in her near. She simply wants to play video games and visit a butler café. And the only reason she fights Vert is because Fake Green Heart protects the Brothers who are escorting her to the butler café. Even Neptune lampshades that Vert might be the villain in that scenario.
* ColourCodedForYourConvenience: The eye colors of Fake Purple Heart, Fake Black Heart and Fake White Heart are different than their originals'. Fake Purple Heart and Fake Black Heart have pink eyes, while Fake White Heart has golden eyes.
* CloneJesus: They are copies of the four goddesses.
* DullSurprise: In the Japanese version, Fake Blanc's attempt at copying Blanc's dirty mouth.
* EvilSoundsDeep: Averted and inverted. Fake Purple Heart and Fake Black Heart sound exactly like their originals. Fake Green Heart's voice is even higher than Vert's while Fake White Heart sounds exactly like the calm Blanc.
* {{Flanderization}}: Played straight InUniverse to hilarious effect. Fake Purple Heart is such a ditz she searches in the wrong spot, Fake Green Heart is so obsessed with video games she's completely harmless, and Fake White Heart is so introverted she outs itself when it can't match the original's [[SirSwearsALot potty mouth]]. Only the Fake Black Heart actually focuses on her objective, exaggerating the original's brutal efficiency.
* GoshDangItToHeck: In the English version, Fake Blanc's attempt at copying Blanc's dirty mouth.
* MachineMonotone: Fake Green Heart's voice sounds like a bit robotic, and it is higher than Vert's voice. In the localized version that is demonstrated by having all of her lines being in written with capital letters entirely.
* MesACrowd: Fake Purple Heart can spawn weaker duplicates of herself, giving MAGES. and [=MarvelousAQL=] some trouble.
* OutOfCharacterAlert: The fake Blanc has all of the real Blanc's memories, but gives herself away by [[spoiler:calmly answering embarrassing questions while the real one flips out, exactly as Financier [[JustAsPlanned planned]]]].
* PowerMakesYourVoiceDeep: Averted. Fake Blanc's voice doesn't change at all after transforming. The others are always in their goddess forms.
* TheQuietOne: Fake Purple Heart and Fake Black Heart barely talk at all.
* QuirkyMinibossSquad: They are all bosses in chapter 7. Their personalities are [[{{Flanderization}} flanderized]] versions of their originals.
* TheStoic: All of them, except of Fake Green Heart.
* TheVoiceless: In the English audio. All of their cutscenes with them aren't voiced.

* EnemyMine:
* FourTemperamentEnsemble:
* MoeAnthropomorphism: Of various consoles.
* PaperThinDisguise:
* SeriousBusiness:
* TransformationIsAFreeAction:
HAAH!]]"
-->'''Vert:''' "Wha-?! W-Wait a moment! I haven't changed forms yet?!"
-->'''[[spoiler:Fake Green Heart]]:''' "THAT IS WHY I AM ATTACKING NOW!"

[[quoteleft:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/hdnr1_neptune_x.png]]
[[caption-width:350:[-From left to right: '''Neptune''' & '''Purple Heart'''-] ]]

->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/RieTanaka (Japanese), Creator/MelissaFahn (English)

* AmnesiacGod:
* BraidsOfAction: As Purple Heart.
* CleavageWindow: As Purple Heart.
-->'''Compa:'''" We'll be serious, then! Go! Nep-Nep, I choose you!"\\
'''Neptune:''' "[[PokemonSpeak Pika!]]"

->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/AsamiImai (Japanese), Creator/ErinFitzgerald (English)

* LonersAreFreaks:

[[caption-width:350:[-From left to right: '''Vert''' & '''Green Heart'''-] ]]

->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/RinaSato (Japanese), Creator/TaraPlatt (English)

* {{Underboobs}}: Played entirely straight in [=HDD=].

->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/KanaAsumi (Japanese), Creator/WendeeLee (English)

* ColorfulThemeNaming: "Blanc" means "white".
* RedEyesTakeWarning:

->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/KanaHanazawa (Japanese), Creator/CheramiLeigh (English)

* BreastExpansion: From A-cups to F-cups.
* ImprobableWeapon: Plushie dolls.

->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/AoiYuuki (Japanese), Creator/SandyFox (English)

* ImpossiblyLowNeckLine: Yellow Heart's costume. Justified, since it's skin-tight.

* MoeAnthropomorphism: Of various handhelds.

* RoseHairedSweetie: As Purple Sister.

->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/EriKitamura (Japanese), Creator/SarahWilliams (English)

* SiblingYinYang:
** Averted. She is very similar to Noire in terms of personality ''and'' looks.
** However, that does not apply to their fighting styles. Noire is a close-ranged swordswoman, while Uni is a long-ranged gunner.
* SmallGirlBigGun: As Black Sister.
* {{Tsundere}}:

->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/YuiOgura (Rom) & Creator/KaoriIshihara (Ram) (Japanese), Creator/CarrieKeranen (Rom) & Creator/ShelbyLindley (Ram) (English)

->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/KanakoSakai (Japanese), Creator/CristinaVee (English)

* {{Fangirl}}: Vert's.

* {{Expy}}: She's based of Jin Kazama from ''VideoGame/{{Tekken}}''.

* {{Ninja}}: Of the [[HighlyVisibleNinja Highly-Visible variety.]]

[[quoteleft:225:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Arfoire_7217.png]]

->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/ChiakiTakahashi (Japanese), Creator/LauraPost (English)

* NiceJobFixingItVillain:
