Characters / Halkegenia Online Gnomes

Go To

Walking boulders with extreme strength from an early level. They're big, they're tough, even a low level Gnome can cart around and fire a swivel gun like a human would handle a musket. Their Fae instincts render them mildly agoraphobic though its hardly crippling and most are quite happy to get out and about, they just prefer a nice, dark, cool place to relax.

  • Dishing Out Dirt: Their magic centers around Earth abilities.
  • Super-Strength: They are seen to easily carry heavy objects and weapons.
  • Amazonian Beauty: Compared to other races, some of which have to invest in their STR and VIT to gain it, female Gnomes have impressive physiques going for them as default.

Rucks

The official representative of the Gnome Race on the Council of Faerie Lords. Not a Faerie Lord in the proper sense due the lack of consensus among the Gnomes themselves regarding who should lead them.

Agil (Andrew Gilbert Mills)

A former shop owner in SAO and now a Faerie of the Gnome Race. A long time friend of Kirito, he coordinated the <<Asuna Rescue Mission>> along with Argo after realizing that Kirito might not be able to achieve his goal on his own. Later opens a new shop, Cafe Yggdrasil. Logged in into ALO with his wife.
  • The Bartender: Cafe Yggdrasil quickly becomes a fixture in Fae social life so he gets to know a lot of people. He brews and sells tea, which is a rarity in this setting.
  • The Constant: Agil doesn't care that he's been trapped in another word (again). He just opens a third café and continues business as usual.
  • Good-Guy Bar: He is still running a café in Tristian and it has become a favorite watering hole for the Fae's City Watch and mob patrols.
  • The Rival: Scarron bristles over the business that the Charming Fairy Inn has lost to CafĂ© Yggdrasil and its tea.

Eda (Kathy Mills)

Agil's wife, and partner in running Cafe Yggdrasil.

Rika (Hagiwara Rika)

A young Gnome introduced in v2.0. One of the inhabitants of Arrun Home. She is also severely "Out of Time", meaning that she is trapped in a body that is much different from her IRL age. Though she appears to be an adult, she is only ten years old.
  • Does Not Know Her Own Strength: Bardiche notes that Rika's hugs feel like they are going to break his bones, though Rika has no intent to hurt anyone when she gives them a hug. She hasn't gotten the measure of her new body yet.
  • The Ingenue: The main reason for their actions was that they saw her as innocent and sheltered, not knowing that she truly was a child in an adult's body.
  • Made a Slave: Two retainers of a noble attempted to make her into an indentured servant, although nobody was fooled as to what would really occur, when they attempted to frame her for theft of a priceless heirloom. Thankfully Klein and Leafa were there to avert the disaster.
  • Younger Than They Look: Rika looks like a cute young woman with 'a figure that lay on the generous side of things', but on the inside, she was not even ten years old when the Transition happened.
