The Road to PALISADE

Player Characters

PALISADE

Player Characters

     Coriolis Sunset
A young follower of the Divine Devotion and relatively new addition to the Blue Channel. Her playbook is the Paradigm. Played by Sylvi Bullet.

  • The Baby of the Bunch: The youngest member of the Blue Channel - both in terms of her age and her attitude.
  • Break the Cutie: The events of PALISADE are largely this for her, peaking when she accidentally kills her own father in battle and has even her Pyrrhic Victory stolen out from under her by a rival Devotee.
  • Carry a Big Stick: Her main weapon is a mace, although she also has a Cool Sword.
  • Fallen Angel: Appropriately enough, after her wings turn black, she eventually becomes a servant of Perennial - the Divine Principality's equivalent of Satan.
  • The Paladin: Cori is a warrior blessed by a Divine, fighting for the freedom of Palisade. However, she is also an interrogation of this trope; her tenets forbid her to offer surrender and often put her in more danger than is necessary (Devotion chides her for taking an action to cool off her mech instead of continuing to press the attack), and there are hints the current interpretation of Devotion as spread by the Devotees isn't actually good or accurate.
  • Symbolic Wings: Her connection to Devotion caused her to grow several small pairs of angel wings (one on her back, one on her arms, and one on her head), but the wings otherwise do nothing. As her connection to Devotion wavers (and is eventually severed altogether), the wings turn black.

     Eclectic Opposition
A Delegate detective who joins Millennium Break during his investigation of the Bilateral Intercession's activities on Palisade.

     Levitation Cascabel-Gardner
A Twilight Mirage local who signs on to the Blue Channel crew after carrying out a delivery from his family's catering company.

Non-player Characters (Cause-aligned)

Non-player Characters (Bilateral Intercession)

     Stargrave Elcessor
Highest-ranking member of the Bilateral Intercession on Palisade. Has the authority to blow up the whole planet.

  • Bad Boss: If being willing to blow up a star system full of her own people isn't bad enough, the fact she forces her staff to practice dying really puts the frosting on the cake.
  • Villainous Breakdown: Becomes dangerously unstable after Hexagon scores a major victory and stages a failed assassination attempt on her, and arms the stellar combuster. During her appearance on the broadcast to announce this she's visibly off-kilter and can't even give her own speech. When Phrygian takes the combusters out, she absolutely loses any semblance of cool she might still have had and just sits there, pressing the button on her detonator over and over.

     Riah Connadine
Head of the Bilateral Intelligence Services.
  • Expy: Shares a lot in common with one George Smiley, as the forgettable-looking master spymaster of an empire in the middle of an increasingly tense war.

     Marlon Styx
A...double? Triple? Quadruple?...agent embedded in Violet Cove.
