First Appearance: Darkhold: Pages from the Book of Sins #1 (October, 1992)

The only daughter of Monsignor Vittorio Montesi, after she and her girlfriend are attacked in Rome, she moves to America and joins the Darkhold Redeemers in order to protect the world from the Darkhold and those that which to use it.

Notable Aliases: Professor Hastings

An expert in the occult. She joins the team because she is an old friend of Vicki's and is fascinated by the Darkhold.


  • Character Death: She ends up dying due to a demonically-possessed Morbius, after she already damned her soul by reading from the Darkhold.

First Appearance: Marvel Chillers #1 (October, 1975)

An ancient sorcerer who originally served under Merlin, he tried using the Darkhold to save his love, but ended up sealed in a crypt for centuries. After being released in the modern day, he's gone back and forth on being Cthon's servant, before going to the Redeemers and claiming he wanted to help them.

William is the grandson of Louise Hastings and was able to perform magic without any formal training. After his mother died during a struggle to obtain pages from the Darkhold, he moved in with his grandmother and started training in how to use his powers.

Notable Aliases: Hand of Cthon

First Appearance: Ghost Rider (Vol. 3) #28 (August, 1992)

A being that has some sort of connection with the Darkhold. He seals page of the book into black envelopes and distributes them to people for nefarious reasons.


  • Arc Villain: He isn't even stopped by the end of the book.
  • Depraved Dwarf: Of course, just look at him.
  • I Have Many Names: Although he doesn't say any of them, he does say he's had many:
    I've had many names across many ages. So many even I forget a few. For ease of reference, call me what most people I meet do: The Darkhold Dwarf. Insensitive, I admit, but at my age, frankly, I don't give a damn.
