[[folder:Kimihito Kurusu]]

-> Voiced by: Creator/JunjiMajima

The protagonist, host of Miia, Papi, Centorea, Suu, Meroune, Rachnera, and Lala, and guinea pig for the inter-species marriage amendment to the exchange program.
* AboveTheInfluence: Despite the various advances by the girls, he never takes advantage of them sexually. Of course it also slightly helps that they're usually displaying ClingyJealousGirl behaviors to prevent any one of them from getting too far ahead of them regarding a relationship with him. Even when Lilith, a lesser devil, outright ''[[MoreThanMindControl hypnotizes him]]'' into giving in to his desires, he still smacks her upside the head and says how wrong that is.
* AccidentalPervert: ''All the time.'' Though he gets beat up for it less than you'd think: most of the girls are either regularly trying to seduce him or not at all adverse to the idea, and thus ''want'' him to act like a pervert.
* AffectionateNickname: Even though the readers know his real name, the girls often make him OnlyKnownByHisNickname, as demonstrated by the following:
** Miia calls Kimihito "Darling"
** Papi calls him "Husband" ("Boss" in the English manga, "Master" in the anime − in Japanese "Goshujin" can mean either husband or master)
** Centorea calls him "Master" ("Milord" in the English manga); Suu does as well, but in English
** Meroune calls him "Sir" ("Beloved" in the English manga, "Master" in the anime)
** Rachnera calls him "Honey"
** Tionishia calls him "Sweetie" ("Snookums" in the English manga)
** Zombina calls him "Babe" ("Loverboy" in the English manga)
** Manako calls him "Dear"
** Doppel calls him "Bae"
** Ms. Smith calls him "Darling-kun" to pick on him.
* AlliterativeName: '''K'''imihito '''K'''urusu.
* AlwaysSaveTheGirl:
** He actually racks up a pretty surprising number of crimes all to protect the girls from random people, the government, and themselves. Assault, lying to the police, harboring an illegal alien, stealing a truck, etc. He gets away with it because for the most part Ms. Smith just doesn't care.
** In chapter 15, he actually thinks that this has finally caught up with him, assuming that the police are after him for attacking the director, not even considering that it might actually be Rachnera they were after.
* AManIsNotAVirgin: Averted. The night the girls are all driven crazy with lust, he has a minor FreakOut saying he's "not ready and still a virgin" showing nervousness at the prospect of his first time. He tries to insist this is actually the case when Rachnera teases him about the possibility that he's a virgin. It's blatantly obvious that he's lying.
* BadBadActing: Chapter 40 shows that Kimihito is not very good at acting.
* BadassNormal: While he's your average human ([[MadeOfIron for certain values of "average"]]), he quite often goes out of his way to assist and protect the girls in dealing with far less pleasant humans in incredibly impressive ways, often with a MegatonPunch.
* BerserkButton: As revealed in the [[http://i.imgur.com/deq7x4K.jpg volume 6 omake]], the girls had never seen Darling [[SinisterSilhouettes so]] [[GlowingEyesOfDoom angry]] until [[spoiler:Lala played with her food instead of eating it. Miia and Papi witness a major scolding so terrifying that they'll wash their dishes without complaints.]]
* BewareTheNiceOnes: Perfectly civil and friendly with people he has no problem with. If you mess with his friends, however... Well, see the [[MegatonPunch page picture]] of the [[Awesome/DailyLifeWithMonsterGirl Awesome Moments page.]]
* BlankWhiteEyes: Pretty much the default setting for his eyes. The only time when you see his actual eyes are when he's shocked or being serious, which occurs more frequently as the story has progressed, though still not more often than the blank eyes.
* ABloodyMess: In their excitement, Miia, Papi, and Centorea tackled Kimihito when he was rummaging through the fridge. Cue him lying on the ground with red liquid pooling around him. Turns out it was only ketchup, but the girls were ''horrified''.
* BreakingTheFourthWall: Does this in chapter 8 after Centorea says she'll protect him from the slime.
-->'''Kimihito:''' I haven't seen this in a while. Since chapter 4, I think?
* BrickJoke: His mention of having a leg fetish from an extra gets brought back up again in chapter 15. Rachnera assumes that her spider half disgusts him, and that he was only turned on from her human-like parts. He insists that she's wrong, [[FreakinessShame that her legs are actually very charming]], followed by "leg man" showing up by him in sparkles.
* ButtMonkey: He always gets caught in his harem's antics or gets hurt as a result of their aggressive affections.
* CatharticScream: Shoves his head inside Suu's body and screams at the top of his lungs when he learns that [[spoiler:The Organization will cover all living expenses, basically meaning he put himself through hell all throughout chapter 25 for nothing.]]
* CelibateHero: At first, he is explicitly forbidden by law from starting a relationship with any of the girls living in his house, and with very little exception it's the girls who push to start one. Even during the initial "marriage" subplot, his first impulse was to turn Ms. Smith down rather than take advantage. That being said, he seems to find all the girls quite attractive, and would have willingly consummated things with Miia some time ago had circumstances not intervened. Yes, they come onto him, but he has a tough time really being against it. By chapter 30 he outright admits to himself he would like to be married to any one of the girls, which makes the idea of choosing all the harder.
* ChickMagnet: Initially you could count the girls who ''weren't'' interested in him on one hand, though this number has increased substantially as the manga progressed.
* CrazyPrepared: When Suu is on her water-absorbing (and [[ImmodestOrgasm orgasm-inducing]]) rampage in chapter 10 she leaps at Mero. Kimihito immediately produces a large plastic garbage bag to catch her mid-flight and contain her.
-->'''Kimihito:''' I really am used to this...
* CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass: Chapter 14 marks the second time he's laid out a grown man with one punch, both brought on by the recipient of said punch antagonizing one of the girls in some way.
* {{Determinator}}: While he could be said to have this in general, it's taken to an extreme in chapter 30. Determined to accept all the girls' feelings, he decides to not tell them to stop when they go too far. This results in multiple near-death experiences, which he apparently only survives because he is so determined to accept the girls that he refuses to die. [[spoiler:According to Lala, he was doing the same thing during his close calls in previous chapters, and it was one of the things that caught her attention about him. It seems to literally be a super-power that Lala doesn't really explain. However, his body can't keep up with his determination, so he is now working on strengthening it.]]
* DudeWheresMyReward: He just barely manages to save Suu's life and Papi calls out to him, flying in like she's going to hug him, and goes right past him to hug Suu. Made even meaner by the fact that he managed to hijack the nearby [[ThoseTwoGuys racist pair's]] truck, get it off the bridge, and into the river below to catch Suu, in a matter of ''seconds.''
* FeeFiFauxPas: He tries very hard to avoid this. An extra in Volume 3 has him worrying about what kinds of food he can bring into the house anymore, assuming he has to stop buying chicken, chicken stock, fish, fish broth, and canned tuna due to Papi and Meroune. Mero's fine with fish, as seaweed alone is not a good diet and compares fish for Mermaids to cows and pigs for Humans, and Papi is "totally okay with cannibalism".
* FriendToAllChildren: During chapter 38, he played regularly with the hospitalized children while the doctors tried to figure out just what kind of condition allows him to survive everything he goes through. Partly because he was bored being confined to bed-rest, partly because, hey, they're sweet kids.
* GotVolunteered: Ms. Smith pretty much just dumps "problem cases" at his house. Of the girls he deals with, only Miia and Meroune are actually "normal" homestays (for a given definition of the word, given the former's repeated attempts to break the rules to sleep with him and the latter's special needs due to her biology). All of the others are either chronic runaways (Papi, Lala), have past histories of violence (Centaurea, Rachnera) or just in an extremely legally problematic situation (Suu) that are left with him because of his proven ability to keep house with even difficult personalities. To make it worse, she first dropped Miia with him ''by mistake'', and he was too much of a NiceGuy to kick her out. Everything sort of snowballed from there.
* HonorBeforeReason: Defending Zombina from harm, despite the fact she doesn't need the protection, because the fact she's a girl in danger matters more than her being a zombie.
* HouseHusband: He enjoys cooking, cleaning, and sewing. His skills are useful when the monster girls get clothes that need adjusting.
* ImagineSpot: Kimihito has one where he almost consummates his relationship with Miia, only for a SWAT team to break into his house and point guns at him. [[BrickJoke The next chapter, when they end up in a love hotel, it actually happens.]] And during the girls' [[{{Lunacy}} full moon driven heat]] he gets one that shows what would happen if he broke down and let the girls have their way with him when they are unable to control their strength. It ain't pretty. [[spoiler: He also recognizes Lala's overactive imagination because it was something he used to do himself when he was young.]]
* ImagineSpotting: Kimihito can apparently see and make remarks on Miia's fantasies about him.
* IncorruptiblePurePureness: When Lilith attempts to hypnotize him into releasing his inhibitions, he ends up getting hypnotized into demanding she stop it with the seduction already.
* InvulnerableKnuckles: Considering how durable the guy is, it's notable that he doesn't seem to have these: after clocking the racist guy the anime version shows that his fist is clearly raw, and in the very next scene Smith is treating him; he didn't brace his wrist properly and ended up hurting himself more than the guy he punched.
* IronButtMonkey: In true form. Lala's debut is a '''giant''' lampshade of this. [[spoiler:Chapter 30 reveals he's not so much invulnerable as he is so determined that he somehow refuses to die, which somehow brings him back largely unhurt.]]
* KubrickStare: He combines his usual BlankWhiteEyes with DullEyesOfUnhappiness and HiddenEyes while looking at the Director this way after punching him out. Ignore what he's saying at the time and it'd seem like he's about to outright murder the guy. The second Miia talks to him though, he switches back to his usual cheerful BlankWhiteEyes look.
* MadeOfIron: Good thing too, as the guy takes a hell of a lot of physical abuse between the girls, even if they don't mean to hurt him.
** Hilariously lampshaded in Chapter 38. All that abuse and potentially lethal injuries did not even leave a dent on him, utterly confusing the doctors.
* MeaningfulName: His given name can be translated to public figure. As in the guinea pig to see whether or not the interspecies marriage amendment to the Cultural Exchange Between Species Law is viable or not. Incidentally, 主公人 looks like 主人公 (shujinkou, "main character"), and his family name basically means "where people come and stay".
* MegatonPunch: As shown in [[PunchedAcrossTheRoom two]] [[SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome separate]] moments, he has a mean right hook.
* MistakenForRacist:
** Because she's running off of what she heard from the director, including the false belief that he had smashed Papi's egg into the director's face rather than a chicken egg, Rachnera assumes that he's just pretending to be a decent person but actually discriminates against extraspecies.
** The assumption is made once again by Manako, as most people are apparently never willing to directly look at her out of annoyance or fear. When he's able to look her directly in the eye (and rather easily, at that) she begins to panic in embarrassment.
* NearDeathExperience: He has had several through the series. He even sees [[AfterlifeAntechamber part of the afterlife]] in Chapter 30 [[spoiler:where Lala is waiting and watching. It turns out his experiencing these for completely noble and selfless reasons is what drew her to meet him in person]].
* NiceGuy: The driving force behind each of the girls falling in love with him, and the reason Ms. Smith keeps leaving "difficult" homestays at his house: Kimihito can get along with ''anyone''. Unfortunately, this is {{Deconstructed}} as well: the trait is also his biggest weakness in that it can make him incredibly indecisive, as he tries to please everyone. While he usually finds a way to make it work, the issue of finding a girl to marry is a whole 'nother ball game...
* ObliviousToLove: Averted: he's well aware of the girls' feelings and tries his hardest not to hurt anyone's feelings or show blatant favoritism to any of the girls at any time. He also freely admits to himself that he'd enjoy being married to any of them.
* OldShame: InUniverse: [[MrImagination he had a wild imagination]] in middle school. This helps him later in life to identify Lala's death talk as just delusions. When questioned by Ms. Smith if he was like that as well he tries to deny it.
* OnlyKnownByTheirNickname: His actual name is mentioned only once or twice, otherwise it's always one of his nicknames. This trope has gone meta, with many readers only remembering his nickname.
* OnlySaneMan: As is standard with a harem-genre protagonist. Doesn't help that the only authority figure we've seen so far is little better than his harem.
* PleasePutSomeClothesOn: He gets really uncomfortable around naked women. When Lilith tried to seduce him by stripping, he repeatedly told her to put some clothes on. When Doppel offers to do anything he wants, his only request is for her to wear actual clothes. [[{{Irony}} Which embarrasses the hell out of her.]]
* ScrewDestiny: Immediately after his TemptingFate, he walks out into traffic, and nothing hits him.
--> '''Kimihito''': Got it? There's no such thing as fate! And seriously, I'm on the brink of death every single day!
* SupremeChef: He's described as a very good chef by Smith in chapter 17, though we don't get to see any of the things he makes until Chapter 25. Happens again in Chapter 35, where he manages to make some impressive dishes out of stingrays of all things.
* TakingTheBullet:
** Takes an attack from a fake sword meant for Centorea.
** He also takes three tranquilizer bullets in chapter 5, when he jumps in front of the girls.
** Takes a hit from Cici while defending Zombina in chapter 39.
* TeenyWeenie: The subject of several jokes in Chapter 31, though whether or not it's due to the cold weather is up for grabs.
* TemptingFate: In Chapter 24 he says several things in rapid succession that get called Death Flags in order to disprove Lala's claims.
--> '''Kimihito''': You guys are way too gullible!... In the first place that girl's not even... hmmm... Miia. If, '''IF''' I make it back alive, we're getting married! I'm not sticking around here! I'm going home! I'm not afraid of anything anymore!
* TheyKilledKennyAgain: [[spoiler:According to Lala in Chapter 30, he repeatedly died, but came back to life every time.]]
* TinyGuyHugeGirl: When next to Centorea, Rachnera and Tionishia in any case. He's shown to be fairly average height, though a bit on the shorter side.
* UnfazedEveryman:
** With a few exceptions, he is a largely open-minded and tolerant individual who takes the many bizarre things that happen to him more-or-less in stride. Most of the girls find this ''very'' attractive, even when they don't live with him or fall for him.
** Even being hooked around the neck with a scythe merely registers to him as "something was off", and he casually turns around to find out what it was about.
** Exceptions seem to include when his household responsibilities are threatened (i.e. the prospect of not getting enough food for everyone really upsets him), as well as the girls acting out of character (he outright panics when Papi begins explaining in detail harpy society and the situation with her mother).
* UnluckilyLucky: On one hand, he regularly survives grievous injuries with no lasting effects. On the other hand, a person that was really lucky wouldn't get those injuries in the first place.
* UnwillingSuspension: Rachnera does this to him twice. Once while he was unconscious, letting him down when he mentions the blood flowing into his head, and again shortly after, rigging the webbing so that if he spit out her webbing he'd fall. She does it yet again to him in chapter 30, though under purely playful conditions.
* {{Workaholic}}: He's so used to doing housework all the time that he's actually uncomfortable when he doesn't have anything to do. When the kitchen staff in Chapter 35 were in jeopardy, he immediately helps them out, cleans several stacks of dishes, and even asks if there's more he can do. This prompts Rachnera to call him a workaholic.
* YourDaysAreNumbered: [[spoiler:Lala arrived to inform him that he's currently on the brink of death. He's fully aware of it, as he's on the brink of death daily. He's also aware it's just an act, and that [[SubvertedTrope she's not really a grim reaper]], just a silly dullahan with a wild imagination... [[ObfuscatingStupidity Or not]].]]

[[folder:Kuroko Smith]]

-> Voiced by: Creator/YuuKobayashi

Kimihito's cultural exchange coordinator, and the leader of MON. Rather lazy when it comes to her job, yet she still seems to have no problem dumping girls off on Kimihito and using him as a guinea pig for amendments to the exchange program's rules.
* ADayInTheLimelight: Chapter 11 is focused on her and her Special Forces Squad.
* AllThereInTheManual: Her first name has not been said in the manga or anime, but was revealed with official merchandise
* AmbiguouslyBi: She clearly has a bit of a thing for Kimihito, but she also spent most of the jousting match in chapter 29 enjoying the sight of Centorea and her mom's boobs bouncing.
* BeleagueredBureaucrat: The reason she's so lazy and irresponsible is because her job is a rotten combination of demanding and thankless.
* BewareTheSillyOnes: She may be a bum at times, but she's absolutely terrifying when she suspects someone's breaking the rules or threatening to harm someone.
* BunnyEarsLawyer: Despite the fact that she can be lazy and forgetful, and routinely bums for food ([[MustHaveCaffeine or coffee]]) or messes with Kimihito for the fun of it, Smith is very good and proactive at her job as the coordinator. She also runs MON, which is effectively ''a second'' full-time job.
* CheshireCatGrin: A mischievous, teasing smirk ([[PerpetualSmiler which she wears constantly]]) is her trademark expression.
* CoolShades: To go with her traditional government agent's uniform.
* DullEyesOfUnhappiness: When {{the glasses come off}} and she's exceptionally pissed off at the last orc still standing in Chapter 11.
* DynamicEntry: Fond of these, whether it's kicking down a love hotel door or jumping through Kimihito's bedroom window.
* FashionableAsymmetry: In the very beginning her bangs cover one eye just short of PeekABangs. The [[ArtEvolution art quickly evolves]], however, and she's currently symmetrical.
* FirstNameBasis: With most of the cast, even though she does interact with them non-professionally. As for Kimihito, she calls him by his name once and then starts to casually call him Darling, just because. Hilariously her phone info for him has him labeled as "Darling-kun".
* FriendToAllChildren: Ms. Smith is shown to be very kind and caring to children, as shown when she and M.O.N. rescue a bunch of extraspecies children from kidnappers in a flashback in chapter 20, and her interaction with Yuuhi in chapter 38 [[spoiler:after her transformation into a zombie.]]
* TheGlassesComeOff: When she's off duty. Or hurting someone.
* IdiotHoudini: Kimihito suffers no end due to her irresponsibility, and she never suffers for it. This finally backfires on her in chapter 13: she left her coworkers to cover her at work while saying it was to keep the other girls away from Kurusu while ill to avoid a viral mutation, when in fact she just wanted to slack off. Once she catches his cold, her coworkers refuse to help her for the same reason she gave them.
* TheLadette: She's grossly irresponsible at her job, constantly bums off Kimihito for meals, and her own apartment's a sty.
* LaserGuidedKarma: After using Kimihito's sickness as an excuse to avoid paperwork and dump it on MON, she's left to take care of herself when she becomes sick.
* LastNameBasis: She's only referred to as Ms. Smith in the manga and anime. [[http://s13.postimg.org/r7kqlk60n/1442081515644.jpg If this piece of merchandising is canonical]] her full name is Kuroko Smith.
* NoSenseOfPersonalSpace: In a number of chapters, she seems to enjoy getting up in Kimihito's face without warning. Whether because it unsettles him or because Smith has a more-than-professional interest is anyone's guess.
* OffscreenMomentOfAwesome: Implied as the reason she still has her job.
* PointyHairedBoss: A huge part of Kimihito's problems comes from how irresponsible she is. However, there is a bit of a hint in chapter 10 that [[BeleagueredBureaucrat she does this because she's overworked already and never gets a raise for what she already does. Considering that we've seen her do all the things she rattles off, she may very well be telling the truth,]] and to her credit, when she's actually doing her job, she's pretty damn competent. The hunch was pretty much confirmed with Chapter 11.
--> '''Ms. Smith:''' I have a lot of different jobs. Looking for home stays, working as the extra-species exchange ministry's gun...er, as security and surveillance, putting new experiments into practice...but I never get a raise for it. So I'm not gonna deal with this! Illegal entry? New species? Not my job! That's why I won't define "slime" as extra-species!
* PsychoticSmirk: Sports a small, but very ominous, one when dealing with the orc leader.
* RapunzelHair: Has waist-length black hair.
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: Zigzagged. She often forgets to mention new stuff to Kimihito regarding the homestay program, causing problems that could have been avoided, such as being reimbursed for food expenses for the girls. And though she tends to lump a lot of responsibility, and new monster girls, onto him, she does at least try to help get his house refurbished to accommodate the new guests, and helps take care of a lot of behind the scenes activities as well as the mundane paperwork.
* ScrewTheRulesImDoingWhatsRight: "[[BlatantLies Doppel]]" stays behind with the orc leader to "[[SoundOnlyDeath punish]]" him [[ItsPersonal for making her job harder]], while [[BodyDouble Doppel leaves as her]].
* ShesGotLegs: She even lampshades it when Kimihito reveals he has a leg fetish in an extra chapter and the Anime sure loves to focus on them when they are bare.
* SpellMyNameWithAnS: Her name was mistranslated in the first chapter as "Sumike" in the fan translation, most probably due to the translator confusing the katakana for ''ke'' (ケ) with that for ''su'' (ス). It doesn't help that her name is still written in kanji.
* TokenHuman: She's the only known human member for MON, though the nature of the group leaves her to ''typically'' just be the face of the group while the extraspecies members handle the work.
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: [[MustHaveCaffeine Coffee]], specifically Kimihito's coffee. The cheap instant coffee during a meeting is regarded as awful, the cheap instant coffee at his house ''the best''.
* VictoriasSecretCompartment: For her tranquilizer gun.
* YourDoorWasOpen: She has a tendency to simply appear without warning or explanation, notably in the first chapter where the reveal that she's present startles Kimihito and again showing up suddenly among the rest of MON in Chapter 11.

[[folder:The Racist Couple]]

-> Voiced by: Creator/DaikiHamano (Man) & Creator/AyakaShimizu (Woman)

The ThoseTwoGuys of the series, a pair of grade-A {{Jerkass}}es who tends to show up from time to time, mostly appearing wherever Kimihito and the girls are appearing.
* AssholeVictim: When they first insult Miia, she tries to attack them, but Kimihito intercepts the attack due to the rule of humans and non-humans attacking each other. Later when they show up again and insult her again, he punches both of them rather hard, injuring his hand in the process.
* {{Catchphrase}}: Usually a drawn out "Nasty!"
* DarkSkinnedBlond: The girl looks like a ganguro.
* EvenEvilHasStandards: They may be colossal dicks, but the man freaks out and frantically tries to evade when a little kid wanders in front of his car.
* FantasticRacism: Pretty much all they do is throw bigoted insults at the monster girls just for the sake of messing with them.
* GangBangers: The man in the couple seems to be one of these.
* {{Gonk}}: Look at all the other humans. Look at all the other monster girls. ''Now look at them.'' It's really only in the manga, though.
* HateSink: Due to them being called "The Racist Couple," it's no surprise they are this of the manga and anime during their appearances.
* {{Jerkass}}: They don't limit their dickery to monster girls; other humans are also targeted by their harassment.
* LaserGuidedKarma: Whenever they show up, expect something bad to happen to them very soon.
** In the final episode of the anime they apparently [[spoiler:die in a car accident caused by Centorea. Their car blew up!]]
* NotSoHarmlessVillain: The man upgrades from harmless, if annoying HateSink {{Jerkass}} to out-and-out villainy in chapter 16, in which he very nearly crosses the MoralEventHorizon in his [[RapeAsDrama attempted rape]] of Centorea. One can only hope he took the [[NightmareFace warning]] Rachnera gave him to heart...
* ShooOutTheClowns: They were effectively PutOnABus when the manga began its CerebusSyndrome, though they later reappear in an ImagineSpot.
* ThoseTwoGuys: "Randomly show up to give the main characters grief" pretty much sums up their role.

[[folder:Bicycle Cop]]

-> Voiced by: Creator/AtsushiKousaka

A local police officer that shows up every now and then.
* AscendedExtra: Downplayed in the anime. While he still doesn't have a major role, he does make more appearances than he did in the manga.
* ByTheBookCop: His adherence to the rules would have gotten Papi deported had Ms. Smith not showed up.
* CowardlyLion: Scares easily, but usually tries to do his job anyway.
* RecurringExtra: He makes sporadic appearances throughout the series.
* StopOrIWillShoot: Almost shot Kimihito after he found him holding [[HeadlessHorseman Lala's]] [[LosingYourHead severed head]] in the park at night.

[[folder:Police Chief]]

A police officer that first appeared to deal with the orcs in chapter 11.
* {{Fetish}}: [[{{Foreshadowing}} Has a thing]] for ganguro (dark skin/blond hair style), schoolgirl clothes, and other such things that [[{{Foreshadowing}} his wife is happy to cater to]].
* HappilyMarried: Even though he and his wife don't live together.
* LukeIAmYourFather: An extra in volume 7 reveals that [[spoiler: he's actually Papi's father.]]
* NoNameGiven: Like so many other minor characters in the series.
* ScrewTheRulesImDoingWhatsRight: Attempts this but is quickly shot down.

[[folder:Kasegi/The Director]]

-> Voiced by: Creator/KeijiFujiwara

A ConMan looking to make money out of monster girls. Posed as a documentary filmmaker in order to get into the Kurusu household. Last seen getting arrested by Mon.
* AssholeVictim: His LoopholeAbuse of doing a documentary doesn't sit well with the girls after he starts asking rather personal questions, and then says if they attack him, they'd be in violation of the Interspecies Exchange Law that prohibits non-human beings from attacking humans and vice versa. Kimihito, being a human, doesn't have that same problem, so he hits the guy for them.
** Later he complains about losing the money he could've made from the stuff created by the girls gathered at Kimihito's house. He then mentions having to collect some more thread to recoup his expenses, and complains to Rachnera to put all her silk in one spot. She responds by tying him up with it.
* BullyingADragon: Really should have kept his opinion of Rachnera to himself.
* DangerouslyGenreSavvy: Lies to Kimihito about making a documentary of the interspecies exchange. Then repeatedly states that it's for a documentary when they protest rather personal questions such as if they wear underwear or asks for stuff the girls have around the house. Were it not for Suu reading his mind, he probably would have gotten away with it.
* DepravedDwarf: The anime makes it clear that he's a midget, and he's certainly depraved.
* EngineeredPublicConfession: His real thoughts are broadcasted thanks to Suu's powers, and all pretenses of filming for science quickly fall down (he even refers to the girls as "extraspecies retards").
* LoopholeAbuse:
** Japan's censorship laws apparently doesn't apply to monster girls.
** When the monster girls get offended at stuff he asks them or requests, he continually reminds them that they'd be violating the law if they attack him. Fortunately Kimihito also uses this trope against the guy, hitting him in much the same manner as he did with the racist couple that continually insulted Miia.
* NoNameGiven: Introduces himself as Kasegi at first, but that name turns out to be fake. This doesn't stop the English release from repeatedly referring to him as such in volume 4.
* SolidGoldPoop: Was planning to make money by selling Papi's egg, Miia's cast off skin and Rachnera's web.
* SuperHumanTrafficking: Bought Rachnera (or more accurately, the right to host her) from the Kunanzuki family.

[[folder:Ren Kunanzuki]]

The daughter of Rachnera's first host family. She tried - and failed - to adopt Rachnera back into her family.
* TheAtoner: She wanted to readopt Rachnera out of guilt for her parents selling her.
* {{Determinator}}: Her response to everything that happens to her is to bring on the next challenge, such as repeatedly trying to eat [[LethalChef Miia's]] latest dish despite passing out from the smell each time.
* InnocentlyInsensitive: She has a bad habit of insulting people without actively trying to. Kimihito even refused to let her readopt Rachnera because she kept treating Rachnera like a challenge to overcome instead of an actual person.

A young girl staying at the same hospital Kimihito gets admitted to.
* EmergencyTransformation: Because she's dying without having had the chance to enjoy her life to the fullest, [[spoiler:Lala uses a tooth taken from Zombina in order to transform Yuuhi into a zombie.]]
* IllGirl: Exactly what she suffers from is unclear. What we ''do'' know is... it's terminal.
* ViralTransformation: At the end of chapter 38, [[spoiler:she's turned into a zombie. You know, a monstergirl, i.e. until Ms. Smith points it out (and even afterward) [[OurZombiesAreDifferent there's no actual difference besides some minor yet obvious signs of life.]]]]

!!Monster Girls Living With Kimihito

[[folder:In General]]

[[caption-width-right:300: Our Beloved Monster Girls Harem From Top To Bottom Clockwise: Rachnera, Suu, Papi, Miia, Centorea, Meroune]]

'''In General'''
* BlondeBrunetteRedhead: The first three girls, Centorea, Papi and Miia (though they actually debuted in the opposite order).
* ClingyJealousGirl: Miia is the most overt case, but most of the others have shown this to varying degrees.
* CuteMonsterGirl: Duh.
* DoesNotKnowHerOwnStrength: Everyone but Rachnera and Lala have difficulty holding their strength back, which often results in Kimihito being injured. When {{Lunacy}} strikes Miia, Papi, ''and'' Centorea at the same time, they all suffer from this, thus leaving Kimihito facing a very real risk of [[spoiler:[[OutWithABang literally getting killed during intercourse]] if the temporarily lust-crazed girls manage to capture him long enough to have their way with him]].
* {{Foil}}: Miia and Meroune, Papi and Suu, and Centorea and Rachnera. This gets played up in the various date chapters.
** Happens again in the vacation chapters, only with different combinations. This time, it's: Miia and Rachnera, Centorea and Papi, and Mero and Suu.
* ALizardNamedLiz: Their names are all indicators of their species, but not exact matches.
* MsFanservice: Nearly all girls.
* MySignificanceSenseIsTingling: When Rachnera arranges to move in, it cuts back to the house showing Miia, Centorea, Meroune, and Suu looking horrified, and the first three all thinking "I just got the feeling '''another''' rival is about to show up...". Papi, as usual, seems to either not notice or not care.
* NoSenseOfPersonalSpace: Oh so much, but particularly Miia.
* PrettyFreeloaders: They all live with Kimihito and usually have him do all the household chores and cook for them. Over time they try to do more work around the house, but their unusual bodies and just plain ineptness in some cases mean trying to do chores just makes more work. They can at least be pretty good at simple cleaning, as shown when they were preparing for the mothers to visit.
* RescueRomance: So far Kimihito has, at least once, ended up rescuing or protecting each member of his harem. Each time either being what caused them to fall for him or, in the event that they already had, to display their affection much more openly.
* SingleWomanSeeksGoodMan: Each of the girls fell in love with Kimihito by his acts of kindness:
** Miia: The first human she met outside of the exchange program officials/agents (who don't count, as they're probably keeping a strictly professional distance), whose first reaction to her was '''not''' to shun her for being a monster girl, but to be ''concerned'' about her getting cold due to her snake-like physiology[[note]]So much that the first actual thing he does for her on her first day in his house is get her a big blanket to warm up the snake part of her body, because she was obviously discomforted by the air conditioning.[[/note]].
** Papi: Saved her from a fall while she rescued a child, as well as lied to a police officer that he was her host to prevent her deportation.
** Centorea: [[TakingTheBullet Took a sword slash]] for her against a mugger while she was unarmed and stunned.
** Suu: Despite appearing out of nowhere, cared for her as one of his own, even going as far as saving her from a rainstorm.
** Meroune: Saved her from her runaway wheelchair as well as a moisture-hungry Suu, [[SecretTestOfCharacter all before she revealed herself as a mermaid and his newest resident]].
** Rachnera: Treated her like a normal girl, in spite of her appearance, and refused to assume the worst of her in a very dangerous situation.
** Lala: As a [[MadeofIron Made of]] IronButtMonkey, Kimihito's resilience, strength and determination to overcome death [[spoiler:with or without her help]] got her attention. His compassion, kindness and selflessness for everyone clinched it, though.
* SpellMyNameWithAnS: It's... a little complicated.
** '''At first''', Miia, Centorea, and Suu's names have been romanized as "Miia", "Centorea", and "Suu" by the fan-translator.
** '''Then''' came Chapter 10, where the cover image revealed that the author apparently intended for the names to be romanized as "Meer" [[note]]which actually makes sense, as by Japanese transliteration rules, the katakana version of that is ''Miia''[[/note]], "Centaurea", and "Sue". (Papi is still romanized as "Papi", BTW)
** However, [[http://monstermusume.blisswater.info/2013/01/04/everyday-monster-girls-chapter-10/#comment-857 the fan translator insists on adhering to the "Miia" spelling]] because they consider the official one to be a "terrible" choice as 1) it's a boy's name... in ''Hindi''; and 2) for some reason they believe that it's too much of a stretch to get "Miia" (the romaji form) out of "Miia".
** From there, it appears the fan-translator decided that it would unfair/inconsistent to make an exception for her alone, and thus all three are still referred to as "Miia", "Centorea" and "Suu" in the fan translation.
** ''Finally'', Volume 1 of the manga got an official English translation, in which the names are spelled "Miia" and "Centorea," and Volume 2 has "Suu" and, adding in another example, "Meroune Lorelei" as "Meron Lorelei" (which is '''then''' rendered as "Meroune Lorel'''a'''i" in volumes 4, 5 & 8).
* TheThreeFacesOfEve: Of the three girls who are in love with Kimihito, Papi is the Child because she is joyous, absent-minded, and a bit naive; Centorea is the Wife because she is incredibly honorable and chivalrous, as well as unerringly loyal to Kimihito; and Miia is the Seductress because she is very flirtatious, trying to seduce Kimihito on multiple occasions. They do however occasionally take on other aspects, and as the harem grows and they start trying to compete pinning one trait to any one of them becomes pretty much impossible.
* TinyGuyHugeGirl: Several of the girls dwarf Kimihito by size, generally through their full length (Miia, Mero) or through body mass (Centorea, Rachnera). Suu in adult mode is a more straightforward example.

[[caption-width-right:263:Miia and her cuddling habit]]

-> Voiced by: Creator/SoraAmamiya

Miia is a lamia and the first girl that Ms. Smith just dumped off on Kimihito. It didn't take long for her to fall in love with him and she has little problem turning on the charm to try to get him to make a move.
* AccidentalPervert: In Chapter 31, she accidentally grabs Kimihito's towel while they were in the onsen, exposing him to everyone. She's clearly sorry about it.
* AndCallHimGeorge: Kimihito is constantly injured by the affections of Miia, who constricts him ''hard'' with her tail every time she hugs him.
* ArtEvolution: When the series started, Miia's scales extended up around her "hips" in the rear, but eventually these scales were scaled back to give her a more human-looking "butt." The question remains if it serves a function aside from being attractive and being something to sit on.
* BareYourMidriff: Not to the extent as Mero, but she finds a way to do this pretty often: she's outwardly stated that her hips are her best feature; they're kept shapely from the swaying movement that comes with having a snake tail. Chapter 27 displays that this is common amongst Lamia.
* BeCarefulWhatYouWishFor: Wanted to be princess-carried by Kimihito in Chapter 12. Cerea points out that it would be impossible (due to her weight). She gets her wish anyway [[spoiler: when he has to rescue her from the bottom of the pool.]]
* BlatantLies: Claims that the Homestay Rules clearly state that the first girl to begin their stay at a home has privilege, basically saying she has officially-sanctioned first dibs on Kimihito. Centorea calls bull, but Papi buys it.
* CharacterizationMarchesOn: Miia came off as much more ditzy when she had Kimihito all to herself (particularly in her complete inability to recognize when [[DoesNotKnowHisOwnStrength her tail is squeezing too hard]]), with her [[ClingyJealousGirl temper]] becoming a more prominent trait with each new girl in the house.
* ClingyJealousGirl: She really hates it when other girls get close to her "Darling". It gets worse with each new "rival".
* CordonBleughChef: Miia has an incredible lack of judgment in cooking. Her recipe for white rice gruel includes things such as white peach, white icefish, and ''white chocolate'' (in other words, ingredients chosen simply because they were white). And later, she added peanut butter to ''miso soup'' on the basis that she thinks it looks like miso. Just one of the reasons she's the LethalChef in residence.
* CuddleBug: Miia's cold-blooded, and likes snuggling with warm-blooded people (usually Kimihito) to get heated up. Unfortunately, she tends to forget that she's descended from animals that literally crush prey to death doing this and needs to hold back her strength, much to Kimihito's pain and dismay.
* CuteLittleFangs: Really prominent when her cuteness factor is high. Her open mouth is usually drawn with a single upper canine visible.
* DisappearedDad: [[spoiler: An omake reveals her human father ran off soon after being forced into impregnating her mother (he simply hated snakes too much to stick around, the lamia's sexual skills and beauty not being enough to keep him there). This does not appear to have caused Miia any real problems though, as there is no evidence that lamia fathers are expected to play any major role in their daughter's lives (since they traditionally end up having a lot of daughters).]]
* DoesNotKnowHerOwnStrength: Miia tends to strangle or constrict Kimihito to the breaking point by accident. Kimihito even reacts to her friendly pats on the back like he's getting punched. Then there's the shedding scene. [[NeckSnap Pop goes the spinal column.]] You could make a drinking game of the number of times Kimihito has been accidentally hurt by her.
* EvilIsHammy: As "Cobra Miia" in Chapter 32.
* ExoticEyeDesigns: She has [[AnimalEyes slitted snake pupils]], a normal trait for lamiae, though it becomes much more prominent when [[HellishPupils she's mad]] -- or really deep in [[{{Lunacy}} full moon-induced lust]].
* ExtremeOmnivore: She can eat [[LethalChef her own cooking]] without any negative effects, partly because, as a carnivore, her sense of taste is so weak compared to most of the cast.
* {{Fangirl}}: Of the ''Franchise/MetalGear'' series, if her frequent cosplays as Solid and Naked Snake are any indication.
** Well, she IS a snake person after all.
* FantasticArousal: Her tail, specifically the tip. She was also very clearly aroused when Kimihito helped peel her scales off when she was shedding. The first chapter has Kimihito accidentally do this in an attempt to get her off him.
* FieryRedhead: The most passionate and romantic of the girls in Kimihito's harem, and the only redhead in it.
* FirstGirlWins:
** While nothing has been set in stone, she is the favorite of both the majority of the fanbase and the author, and she's the most open to Darling. Really, it's more that she's built up to be the winner enough that her not winning would seem ''more'' contrived.
** She invokes this herself to the other guests (see BlatantLies above).
** [[spoiler: This seems to be the case as of Chapter 24, with Kimihito telling her if he survives he's going to marry her. It was most likely [[PlayingWithATrope not serious]], as it gets pointed out immediately after he's saying multiple things in rapid succession that are all [[TemptingFate Death Flags]].]]
* FreakinessShame: She shows embarrassment when Kimihito sees her shedding. "Darling" tells her A) it's natural for her to shed and B) he's already seen her naked and this is less embarrassing for both than that (except it's not as lamia find being seen shedding far more embarrassing than nudity).
* GirlyBruiser: Well, considering that she's an extraspecies, the incredible strength is a given (most of her internal organs are assumed to be in her human torso, leaving her snake part to being almost entirely muscle and bone). Miia however has proven herself to be capable at climbing trees, and judging by a couple of scenes where she goes into stances before a fight she apparently knows some manner of martial art. She's even a capable enough swimmer to keep up with a ''mermaid'', though that was very reliant on clever tricks rather than pure athleticism.
* GodivaHair: In the anime (the manga freely displays nipples), her hair is used to cover her breasts occasionally.
* HairDecorations: She wears a pair of D-shaped hair clips. They even serve as her emblem in the anime.
* HoistByHerOwnPetard: Drastically lowers the temperature of the room she's currently in to try making Mero uncomfortable. She's the only one who has any issues with cold. Papi and Centorea aren't sure if she was going to kill herself or just end up hibernating, but Kimihito fixes the temperature before they can find out.
* HotBlooded: Despite being physically cold-blooded, she's extremely passionate in what she does (i.e. wooing Kimihito). Ms. Smith even mentions it's a trait with lamiae.
* ImagineSpot: Miia does this a lot, but the one in Chapter 3, where she remembers an event in the previous chapter but modifies Kimihito into a HotBlooded and {{Badass}} hero complete with HandWrapsOfAwesome, probably takes the cake.
-->'''Kimihito:''' [[ImagineSpotting Is that supposed]] [[LampshadeHanging to be me?!]]
* ImmodestOrgasm: And before you're even ten pages into the story, too.
* InLoveWithTheMark: While she's not an assassin, her mother's chapter reveals she was sent out on a sinister mission. [[spoiler:Namely to capture a human male so that he could become the community's sex slave. However, Miia decides fairly quickly that she wants Kimihito for herself.]]
* LethalChef:
** Her cooking is the stuff a chef's nightmare's nightmares have nightmares about. Kimihito, Papi and Centorea find this out the hard way when Miia, trying to "teach" herself how to cook (by "emulating" what she saw from Kimihito's own cookwork in the kitchen), tests her culinary creations on Papi and Centorea, and ''incapacitates'' them for an entire chapter. Kimihito initially assumes that the food she made was [[ForeignQueasine traditional lamiae cuisine]] and ate it all.
** In chapter 13, Meroune eats some of her food, and the taste [[ImagineSpot brings to her mind]] [[SugarWiki/FunnyMoments the idea]] of how it would feel to have her ''[[ItMakesSenseInContext fins torn apart]]''. ([[DontExplainTheJoke In context]], it's a reference to the Sea Witch's potion in Little Mermaid, which is what Mero's subconscious opinion of the meal is - i.e it's an incredibly dangerous, painful concoction you probably shouldn't put into your mouth.)
** Chapter 25 provides an explanation for Miia's horrible cooking: as a carnivore, Miia's sense of taste is far less sensitive than a human's, making it difficult for her to judge the quality of her cooking.
*** [[CordonBleughChef Although her abysmal judgment when it comes to following recipes and just throwing in whatever ingredients certainly doesn't help.]] Seriously, things like ''fish bones and tentacles'' sticking out of the pots with ''skull-shaped clouds of smoke'' rising up from her culinary efforts should at least give her a clue that she's doing ''something'' wrong!
** In Chapter 26, the ''smell'' of Miia's cooking alone (which Cerea referred to as Miia's "something") was enough to cause Ren to pass out. ''Multiple times!''
* LimitedWardrobe: She's notable in that she's an [[AvertedTrope aversion]]. Compared to the other girls, she has quite a few outfits in a variety of styles. One chapter reveals she orders a lot of clothes online.
* LogicalWeakness: As mentioned in chapter 1, her being part-reptile makes her susceptible to cold temperatures, and she requires warmth to stay healthy. Even in a moderately heated swimming pool, over time she'll become sluggish as she requires a relatively high water temperature.
* LovableSexManiac: She ''really'' wants to get into Kimihito's pants. She even tried to strip Kimihito while he was sick. [[spoiler: When her mother drugs him with a powerful aphrodisiac during her visit, her initial terror quickly fades into lustful anticipation. Amusingly, the same chapter also reveals that her sexual mores are practically ''prudish'' by her culture's standards.]]
* MarshmallowHell: ''Really'' likes doing this to Kimihito. Considering how tight her grip can get, the 'hell' part of it usually becomes the dominant attribute...
* NaughtyNurseOutfit: Wastes no time donning one after finding out Kimihito's sick, and is chomping at the bit to administer 'treatment'.
* NightmareFace:
** Played for laughs: Miia decides to take the initiative saving a kid stuck in a tree in order to impress Kimihito and show up Papi. Unfortunately, when she got to the top, the first thing the kid saw were a pair of HellishPupils, vicious looking fangs and long nails peeking through the leaves.
---> '''Miia''': ''Found you.''
** Another instance in Chapter 6. Considering the context, it was probably meant to come across as "sexy" rather than "scary". But Miia's sudden reveal of her OverlyLongTongue while she's under the effect of {{Lunacy}} could come across as this, particularly as the panel puts her ''mere inches'' from the reader.
* OneNoteCook: Boiled eggs are the one dish she can cook without ruining.
* OurNudityIsDifferent: Witnessing a lamia shedding her skin is far more embarrassing than simple nudity.
* OverlyLongTongue: She wouldn't be a snake without one. It's a human tongue at first glance, but it's actually forked at the end like an ordinary snake's.
* PointedEars: Just one more bit of divergence from the human body type.
* PrehensileTail: Miia's tail is quite dexterous, capable of gripping and manipulating items like a zipper.
* RapunzelHair: It goes past her waist.
* ShamelessFanserviceGirl: She's very, ''very'' intent on showing Kimihito her goods to try and tempt him into actually making a move. Chapter 2 has her gleefully pulling Kimihito into a lingerie shop and taking off her top in front of him, asking his opinion on the bras, and dragging him towards the changing rooms with her. All with a smile on her face.
* SnakePeople: Duh.
* SnakesAreSexy: And she exploits it for all it's worth.
* StrongFamilyResemblance: She looks ''a lot'' like her mother.
* SupernaturalGoldEyes: A lamia girl with amber eyes.
* SuperStrength: She can crumple metal in her coils, seemingly not even realizing it when under the effect of the full moon. Justified assuming that unlike a snake, all her major organs are probably up in her human half, making her tail a huge mass of solid muscle and bone.
* TheTease: It becomes clear very quickly that she doesn't give a crap about the [[NoSexAllowed no sex rule]] of the exchange program as she tries seducing Kimihito fairly regularly. She once outright stated, while laying naked on the bed, that she wants him to take her virginity. Hilariously, the chapter with her mother reveals that she's actually rather ''conservative'' about seducing men by lamia standards.
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: Miia really loves boiled eggs.
* TranquilFury: When she sees Kimihito with a hoof-shaped bruise on his face, she shoots the culprit a DeathGlare that actually manages to get the centaur scared and speaks in a ''horrifyingly calm'' voice.
-->'''Miia:''' Humans and other species may not harm each other.
* {{Tsundere}}: Type B. She's sugary-sweet to Kimihito, but she can be violent when provoked (especially by romantic competition, i.e. Papi and Centorea).
* WeaksauceWeakness: Cold. Justified as she's a lamia, i.e. a reptile. It's also dangerous for her to be in large bodies of water for this reason; while she can swim quite well, it's harder to maintain her body temperature in a pool, even if it's a heated one. When she tried swimming in Mero's (non-heated) pool, she froze up and dropped like a stone, almost drowning.
* WhyDidItHaveToBeSnakes: Miia is terrified of severed heads, and therefore does ''not'' react well to Lala the dullahan.
-->**An aversion to TruthInTelevision but doubles with FridgeLogic given her animal motif. Aversion, because USUALLY a snake will try to devour prey head-first; the maneuver's purpose is to suffocate the victim, should it still be alive after being poisoned/wrangled and to minimize injury to the snake. On the other hand, heads, or actually skulls are the hardest part to digest for reptilian, especially snakes. There's been numerous cases of snakes dying from having their prey's skull lodged on their mouth, pressing the windpipe.
* YourSizeMayVary: The length of her tail, which varies from being about twice the length of her upper half to closer to twenty feet, though according to Chapter 17 her body is around eight meters (just over twenty-six feet) long in total. The official measurements at the end of volume 1 state her head to tail length to be "over seven meters."

[[caption-width-right:288:Papi flies wherever she pleases]]

-> Voiced by: Creator/AriOzawa

A harpy and the second girl to end up living with Kimihito. She's childish, both physically and mentally, despite being as old as Miia.
* AbsurdlySharpClaws: The talons on her feet are like butcher knives.
* AdultFear: She watches the girl she saved early in the series get run over by a truck, who was only saved because Suu managed to wrap her up and absorb the force of the impact. Before they can get Suu unstuck from the side of the bridge they were on it collapses, dropping her into the river, and because of Papi's hands not being strong enough to hold people and Suu being slippery she can't do anything but watch her fall.
* AmbiguousInnocence: As Centorea points out, she's nowhere near as young as she looks, and is never above trying to use her apparent naivete as an excuse to jump Kimihito.
* AmbiguouslyBi: In addition to her [[HeterosexualLifePartners relationship with Suu]], [[ItMakesSenseInContext sucking on Kii's breasts is the first solution to depowering her]] that comes to Papi's mind. That said she is openly in love with Kimihito.
* AttentionDeficitOohShiny: Has a short attention span that lasts for mere seconds. After kidnapping Kimihito, she asks him to get some food. As they walk there, she immediately forgets who he was.
* BigSisterInstinct: She's rather protective of Suu, even flying off with her when the others think about giving her up.
* {{Catchphrase}}: In the English manga, she's fond of "no pro", as in "no problem".
* ComicallyMissingThePoint: She tends to focus on completely random minor details. While watching a news report on a hostage situation and how it'll be affecting the Extraspecies Exchange Laws, Miia and Centorea discuss that. Papi, on the other hand...
-->'''Papi:''' Huh? Isn't that Ms. Smith?... That is Ms. Smith.
** When the aforementioned three girls and Mero are watching what appears to be Kimihito's date with Ms. Smith in a cafe, Papi is only focused on how all the waitresses [[{{Meido}} look like Mero]].
* TheDitz: She's a complete idiot, gets distracted ''very'' easily and is extremely forgetful.
-->'''Kimihito:''' [[LampshadeHanging She's a birdbrain]]!
* EroticEating: Her introduction chapter has her sucking on an ice-stick while Kimihito holds it for her in as unsubtle a way as can be, complete with doing it in public and having some splattered all over her.
-->'''Kimihito:''' [[LampshadeHanging This looks rather… inappropriate…]]\\
'''Passersby:''' ''(Stage whispering among themselves)'' What are they doing?/ Don't look!/ He must be doing it on purpose./ I bet he's a perv.\\
'''Papi:''' [[DoesThisRemindYouOfAnything Awww, I'm all sticky!]]
* ExtremeOmnivore: One of the ending notes explains that Papi has no sense of taste and will eat anything. She only ever describes food as "good" or "really good". [[LethalChef Miia's cooking]] and vegetables being the exception.
* FemmeFatalons: Her wings have exposed thumbs like a bat each ending in a sharp black claw.
* ForgetfulJones: She tends to forget things almost right away. The few things she does retain are usually misremembered.
* FriendToAllChildren: She's very good with children.
* GiantFlyer: While she's the smallest member of the household, she's still bigger than your average bird, with a wingspan of 4 meters, or ''13 feet''.
* HarpingOnAboutHarpies: Of course.
* HeterosexualLifePartners: After Suu starts living at Kimihito's house, the two of them are rarely seen without the other; she even spends the majority of Chapter 12 trying to find Suu rather than deal with anything else that's going on. The pair are often seen providing various {{Funny Background Event}}s while ignoring the drama from the other girls.
* IdiotHair: ...Well, as unkind as it might be to be blunt about it.
* TheImmodestOrgasm: Papi has one when Suu gets [[BlackComedyRape too touchy]] with her after she gets [[DoubleEntendre wet]]. She also has one when Kii wraps her bondage-style in vines and tightens them.
* InnateNightVision: Averted hard; she has terrible night vision ([[ShownTheirWork like most non-owl birds]]).
* InnocentFanserviceGirl: Papi has no concept of modesty, as she dives into a public fountain naked thinking it's a bird bath.
* KindheartedSimpleton: She's a birdbrain, but she's good-natured, friendly and quite a MamaBear to children.
* LogicalWeakness: If her wings are too wet, she becomes unable to fly.
* LoopholeAbuse: Papi tends to forget things whenever she takes three steps. However, if she avoids taking three steps for a while, such as through flying or being carried around, she can keep her train of thought much better.
* {{Malaproper}}: When the police and Ms. Smith are looking for her to have her returned to her host family or deported, Papi tries to explain her situation to Kimihito. Unfortunately, instead of saying "deported," she says "deflowered" (according to the fan manga translation), "aborted" (according to the official manga translation), or "incest" (according to the anime translation).
* MaleGaze: In one of the omakes when Miia, Centorea, and Papi are comparing their best features, Papi is declared the "butt" girl for having the best (humanlike) backside. It's plush too, as Kimihito ([[AccidentalPervert accidentally]]) found out.
* MamaBear: It's noted that her motherly instincts are really strong. She ends up switching between this and BigSisterInstinct depending on the situation. The "mother hen" pun is more or less cemented in chapter 33 when she bonds with a bunch of baby chickens.
* MundaneUtility: Her wings make for a great [[http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Harpie%27s_Feather_Duster feather duster.]]
* OlderThanSheLooks: Harpies look like young teenagers even as adults [[JustifiedTrope for the sake of flight]]. In reality, she's just as old as Miia, which the latter doesn't take too well when Papi drags Kimihito into the bath together.
* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: Kimihito freaks out when she's actually able to remember and explain the conflict with her mother [[spoiler:(though it turns out to be one big misunderstanding)]].
* PerpetualMolt: She tends to drop feathers whenever she takes flight.
* RealMenEatMeat: Apart from the ice cream in her introduction, Papi has a preference for meat, and in most food scenes she's violently biting down on a large slab of the stuff.
* SharedFamilyQuirks: Her mother's attention span and short term memory are arguably ''worse'' than Papi's.
* SlapstickKnowsNoGender: Of all the girls living with Kimihito, Papi gets the most injuries. She gets a door slammed on her head, she gets a TailSlap in the face from Mero, and she always crashes into things if she flies in the dark.
* SolidGoldPoop:
** Harpies are known, at least by their species, to lay unfertilized eggs from time to time. Said eggs are worth 3 MILLION yen on the black market.
** The official English translation ups this a hundred fold by making it 3 million '''dollars''' instead. [[note]]For those who aren't good with money exchange rates, this is around '''[[UpToEleven THREE-HUNDRED TWENTY MILLION]]''' yen.[[/note]]
* StrongFamilyResemblance: Without her bleached hair, tan and makeup, Papi's mom looks almost identical to Papi. [[spoiler:This becomes a plot point when the letter from Papi's mother contains what appears to be Papi lying naked with an unknown man.]]
* ThirdPersonPerson: Delves into this sometimes, like when she first introduces herself.
--> '''Papi:''' Papi's Papi the Harpy!
* TooKinkyToTorture: Rachnee wanted to play "games" with Suu and Papi while the others were at the health club, but apparently the end result is Rachnee exhausted and Suu and Papi happily swinging around in arachne webs.
* WhoWearsShortShorts: People whose legs would make pants difficult.
* WingedHumanoid: The "wings-for-forelimbs" variation, but the digits of her wings[[note]]Yes, [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bird_wing#Wing birds do have "hands" in their wings]] in real-life.[[/note]] are somewhat more human finger-like, and thus allow her to hold objects in them, as demonstrated when she was shown holding the Wii Remote in her hand to play with Kimihito's Nintendo Wii. She's not as dexterous with them as humans are with their own hands/fingers, though; she has trouble holding on to an ice cream cone properly, for example.
* YouGottaHaveBlueHair: With matching blue feathers, too.

[[folder:Centorea Shianus]]

[[caption-width-right:350:Cerea's got back]]

-> Voiced by: Creator/NatsukiAikawa

A centaur and the third girl to move in with Kimihito. Very prim and proper, as expected from a self-proclaimed knight.
* ACupAngst: Despite being quite endowed herself, Centorea expressed discontent when she noticed Cathyl was bustier than her.
* AboveTheInfluence: Holds out longer than anyone else once [[{{Lunacy}} the full moon puts all the girls into a mating frenzy]]... but the key word there is "long''er''." In fact, she holds out long enough to tell Kimihito of the moon's effects, before immediately succumbing to them afterward.
* AbsurdlySharpBlade: By most standards, [[SubvertedTrope not really]] as it's a [[NonLethalDeadlyWeapon fake sword]]. But she's skilled enough with it [[ZigZaggingTrope to slice through several barrels effortlessly]] and later a door. A criminal who got a hold of it was able to inflict considerable, but nonlethal, damage to Kimihito.
* ActionGirl: A courageous knight, competent with sword and bow.
* {{Adorkable}}: No, seriously. She has her moments. Just look at her expression when she first holds hands with Kimihito, or giving a HeadbuttThermometer to Kimihito!Suu.
* AffectionateNickname: Only those close to her can call her "Cerea," which Kimihito does.
* AssKicksYou: Accidentally smashing Kimihito with her horse torso is her most common method of inflicting AmusingInjuries on him. She has a tendency to crash into things any time she needs to move backwards or sideways, too.
* BadassAdorable: She IS a brave and competent warrior, but her insecurities, ImagineSpot with Kimihito, and her {{Adorkable}} image make her this.
* BigEater: She usually manages to keep her appetite in check, but if she eats something she really enjoys, she'll gorge herself with reckless abandon. This helped get the entire group banned from a restaurant once. This is probably based on the behavior of real life horses, who will instinctively chow down on whatever food is in front of them until something stops them or they run out.
* BladeOnAStick: She knows how to use lances, including {{jousting lance}}s.
* BowAndSwordInAccord: Although the bow is only seen once. A bow is an odd weapon for a knight, but [[HorseArcher makes sense]] for a centaur knight.
* ClingyJealousGirl: She may think of it as beneath her, but deep down she's just as clingy to Kimihito as Miia is. This comes to the forefront in Chapter 16.
* CourtlyLove: Since she thinks of herself as a knight, she tends to think of her relationship with Kimihito along these lines: she loves him, but expressing that love or pursuing him would be un-knightly.
* CrashIntoHello: Centorea's introduction. She immediately declares that it means Kimihito is her "fated master", [[BecauseDestinySaysSo because a charm said so]] (he just recognized it as a [[LateForSchool manga stock scene]]). She also wonders if she should have put toast in her mouth beforehand. [[spoiler: Played with following the revelation that her desire to serve a "master" is at least partly rooted in not wanting to engage in her people's frankly barbaric breeding practices. She had good reason to want to find a "master" ASAP!]]
* CuteClumsyGirl: Though usually quite coordinated, Centorea becomes very clumsy and accident prone when she's feeling nervous or shy. The fact that her enormous hindquarters tend to smash into things can be a problem.
* DCupDistress: Downplayed. She doesn't show much resentment towards her ample chest, but she gets embarrassed whenever people bring attention to it. She also is utterly incapable of finding a bra that will survive her GagBoobs, partly because she's reluctant to admit her exact size and makes them sound smaller than they really are.
* ExpressiveEars: In chapter 25 they wriggle as she's eating carrots given to her.
* GagBoobs: They're massive (a '''103 I''' bra was tried and found too small, as was one big enough that Papi and Suu were able to ''use the cups for hats'') and quite prone to gags like ThanksForTheMammaries or MarshmallowHell. The huge size is {{justified|trope}} as it's a racial trait to compensate for the fact that centaur babies are bigger than most and require a lot more nourishment.
* {{Gainaxing}}: Her breasts bounce a lot thanks to their size and her lack of a bra. [[spoiler: This actually turns out to be a problem in Chapter 29, as the bouncing keeps throwing off her aim while jousting.]]
* GamerChick: While she hasn't been seen playing games yet, she does admit that her knowledge of many obscure non-human races is heavily informed by video games, such as slimes and [[spoiler: dullahan]]. And when everyone else was either frightened or grumpy when the butler fish asked them to "save the princess," Cerea instantly perked up.
* GilliganCut: In chapter 35, she finds it shameful that Miia gives in to the massage of the eel mermaids, and declares that she would never submit like this. Surely enough, she's reduced to a moaning mess one panel later. The very next chapter features something similar with giant sea anemones.
* GoingCommando: She does not wear panties or a bra because it's a centaur custom, and also because it'd be very difficult to wear panties given the unusual shape of her hindquarters. [[spoiler: Her aim when jousting improves greatly when she starts wearing a bra. Too bad it wasn't big enough.]]
* HairOfGoldHeartOfGold: She's an incredibly honorable and chivalrous self-proclaimed knight.
* HalfHumanHybrid: [[spoiler:Turns out that, while Centorea's mother is a centaur, her biological father was human.]]
* HighPressureEmotion: Prone to these in extreme embarrassment, complete with steam billowing off her head. She's also hot enough to burn a table with her body temp.
* HonorBeforeReason: Displays this occasionally, such as how she first felt about Rachnera. Though she is still pretty sensible for an honor-bound knight.
* HypocriticalHumor: Generally, when she tries to act like she's too good for the situation, she'll still fall victim to it. Examples include succumbing to a {{Lunacy}}-induced sex craze right after saying that she wouldn't, getting caught in one of Rachnera's traps in the middle of criticizing Miia for not being alert enough, and the two GilliganCut events mentioned above.
* InnocentBlueEyes: Blue eyes for a good and honorable knight.
* {{Keigo}}: Rendered by scanlations into {{Ye Olde Butcherede Englishe}}. It's been dialed back a bit since her introduction, but returns when she's feeling nervous in Chapter 21.
* KnightInShiningArmor: Tries very hard to be this. Occasionally she succeeds, but more often she ends up as a sympathetic LordErrorProne.
* LadyOfWar: Tries to be one. It works as long as she is emotionally stable, which in a harem comedy series is not that often.
* LargeHam: Has a habit of being melodramatic. She even compares her meeting with Kimihito to the meeting of [[Myth/ClassicalMythology Hercules and Chiron]].
* LimitedWardrobe: Aside from the occasional swimsuit, Centorea is always seen wearing a white shirt with a horse-sized black skirt.
* LuminescentBlush: Chapter 29 when she sees exactly ''what'' Kimihito brought to give her an edge over her mother: [[http://mangapark.com/manga/monster-musume-no-iru-nichijou/s1/v5/c29/23 A bra]].
* MyFriendsAndZoidberg: Miia draws up a diagram explaining everyone's connections when they think the government is after Suu. Centorea's place on this is simply marked as "?".
* OccidentalOtaku: A lot of her assumptions on how things in Japan work are based on anime, manga, and video games. Her room is even designed in a traditional Japanese fashion, complete with tatami mats, in contrast to the rest of Kimihito's modern home.
* OneNoteCook: Cerea, unlike Miia, actually does know how to cook. Unfortunately, it's centaur food, which is large amounts of mostly-raw vegetables. It's very healthy and filling, but also rather bland. In chapter 25 it is revealed that being a herbivore, her sense of taste is 2-4 times more sensitive than a human's, which could justify her food in chapter 21 being rather bland to non-herbivores like Kimihito and Rachnera.
* OnlySaneWoman: In Chapter 12, she more or less spends the entirety of Miia's jealous rampage pointing out just how crazy she's acting. And in Chapter 31, she's the only one who suggests a plan to save the hot springs resort that's actually quite sensible. In general, she's the reasonable girl of the lot, who doesn't try to push Kimihito around as much as the others.
* OurCentaursAreDifferent: Apparently they're European-styled knights.
* PhenotypeStereotype: Blonde-haired, blue-eyed girl? Check. Foreigner? Check (she's most likely from Europe given her knightly background).
* ProudWarriorRaceGirl: Her race is this in general going by her stories of centaur knighthood. She herself is a downplayed version of this trope.
* RapunzelHair: Her ponytail is nearly as long as her body.
* ReluctantFanserviceGirl: She really does try to dress modestly, but is frequently either giving Kimihito MarshmallowHell, being groped by Kimihoto in accidents, or losing her top completely and revealing her breasts. Embarrassment tends to happen after each event.
* StrongFamilyResemblance: Aside from her hairstyle, you'd have a hard time telling her apart from her mother.
* SubordinateExcuse: She calls herself Kimihito's servant, but her feelings clearly go beyond that.
* ThanksForTheMammaries: Pretty regularly, especially whenever Kimihito has to hitch a ride and needs a place to... hold on.
* TokenWholesome: Centorea actually dresses and acts very properly. It's just that being stacked like a snow fort makes modesty... difficult. The only person who's even more wholesome is Lala.
* TomboyishPonytail: She ties her hair in a ponytail and she works hard to be a strong and chivalrous knight.
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: Carrots. Recently red carrots have been her favorite, though it's pointed out she's embarrassed about being around others as she indulges.
* WeaponOfChoice: While she knows how to use a variety of weapons, her preferred weapon is her (fake) sword.
* WrongGenreSavvy: Slimes are not the easiest things to kill despite what [=RPGs=] have told her, much to her disappointment. Later, she assumes "D" might be a "devil," and shows up to her date in full plate armor ready for a fight. [[spoiler: When she ''does'' encounter a devil on her date, it isn't "D", and it isn't what she expected either.]]

[[caption-width-right:342:Suu floats his boat]]

-> Voiced by: Creator/MayukaNomura

A slime girl who just randomly showed up one night at Kimihito's house. She seems to mostly mimic the behavior of those around her.
* AcquiredSituationalNarcissism: When Suu is told she's a VIP, she acts much bossier than she usually does, such as demanding a piggy back ride and requesting drinks from her bodyguards.
* AlienHair: In her humanoid form, she has a mass of green "hair" made of slime.
* AmbiguousInnocence: While she was mostly unaware of right and wrong at first, Suu has ''probably'' figured out more of it as the series goes on, despite continuing with the tentacle rape and such. Notably, she seems to only talk with Kimihito when none of the other girls are watching. Then there was the time she molested Draco, and judging from her facial expression and the way she reacted to Draco's protests, it seemed she knew full well what she was doing.
* AttackOfThe50FootWhatever: After absorbing experimental chemicals she grows to kaiju proportions.
* BiTheWay: As detailed below, she gets very touchy with other girls when water is involved. Of particular note is Papi: Suu kisses the harpy on the lips before having her way with her. [[spoiler: And when all the sea water she soaks up in Chapter 36 gives her a massive maturity boost, she immediately goes after Oct ''and'' Rachnera for her own amusement.]]
* BizarreAlienBiology: Volume 2 comes with an explanation of how she works. Some notable details include that she can store up to a fish tank's worth of water in her bust, her eyes store the information required for her transformations, the short feeler on her head is used for reading others' feelings, and the longer ones are used for "[[BreadEggsMilkSquick grabbing things, absorbing water, and performing tentacle rape.]]"
* BlackComedyRape: She gets very touchy with the other girls when she gets hungry and they get wet, to the point of inducing ImmodestOrgasm. Even a drop of sweat will cause her to violate them. Her response when Draco attacks Kimihito is to go tentacle-monster on her. Yet the girls never treat the fondling assaults as more than an annoyance.
* BlobMonster: She is a slime.
* BreastExpansion: Absorbing plenty of water and becoming "well-fed" causes her to take on an older appearance, including going from mostly-flat to stacked.
* BrokenMasquerade: Prior to her appearance slimes were still considered fictional creatures and, thanks to Ms. Smith not wanting to bother, are still thought of that way outside of the people she interacts with. The other girls didn't even know humanoid slimes actually existed, which made them fictional to both worlds.
* CharacterDevelopment: As in, at some point she actually starts to be an independent character that doesn't just mimic other people's actions. Though whether she gains maturity as the story goes on or she's [[AmbiguousInnocence just very good at hiding it]] is sometimes unclear.
* ComicallyMissingThePoint: Could explain her actions in chapter 36. [[spoiler: The now MILF Suu comes upon Oct and Rachnera essentially in a bondage war to get each other off to the point of defeat. Rachnera asks for "help" and Suu "helps" them both reach orgasm. Further evidence is when Rachnera and Oct are complimenting each other's skills and Suu asks for their opinion on her techniques.]]
* DirtyMindReading: Uses this on the director when he's filming the girls and asking very inappropriate questions for a documentary such as if they wear underwear. Were it not for her doing this on him, he probably would have gotten away with it, all under the guise of "making a documentary on the homestay program".
* DiscreetDiningDisposal: Miia and Papi feed Suu their plates full of vegetables they don't want to eat, much to Kimihito's chagrin.
* DressedAllInRubber: Wears nothing more than a raincoat and boots. ''[[InnocentFanserviceGirl When]]'' she wears something.
* DroppingTheBombshell: At the end of Chapter 13 she reveals that she can speak in more than just mimicked phrases, as well as her feelings.
--> '''Suu''': Well, it was [[ThirdPersonPerson Suu's]] fault that you caught a cold... I should apologize as well. But Suu doesn't mind! Because she loves her Master!
* TheEmpath: In Chapter 13, the answer to whether or not she could read thoughts from chapter 8 is answered. She's apparently able to figure out the basic emotions of people when she puts her antenna to their forehead. Chapter 25 reveals she can also communicate her own thoughts to others this way.
* ExtremeOmnivore:
** Capable of eating Miia's horrifying food with no ill effect. She can also absorb body fluids and liquid fertilizer.
** She outright states that she can eat anything as long as her body can digest it, encouraging Kimihito not to waste money buying actual food for her.
** Kimihito asks her to help him pick mushrooms due to this. Even after eating a few poison mushrooms, the only side effect is [[TrashTalk poisoning her speech]] and making the water she spews out as an attack poisonous.
** Disposing of unwanted food is one of her "jobs" in the house and she is quite proud of it.
* FingerGun: And she can spray water with it.
* {{Foreshadowing}}: In Chapter 8, Kimihito says it would have been a bad thing had Suu absorbed too much water and grown to gigantic proportions. [[spoiler: She does exactly this in Chapter 20.]]
* HandHidingSleeves: When she's in her normal size, the sleeves of her raincoat cover her hands.
* HeterosexualLifePartners: After Suu starts living at Kimihito's house, she and Papi are rarely seen without each other. The pair are often seen providing various {{Funny Background Event}}s while ignoring the drama from the other girls.
* IdiotHair: Has an "antenna" in the shape of it. Though, unlike Papi, she's more childlike and naive than dumb.
* TheIllegal: Her race is a type of liminal currently not fully classified under the Accord and it's assumed she arrived in Japan by some sort of illegal entry. However, Ms. Smith decides Suu is not her problem and lets her live with Kimihito.
* TheImmodestOrgasm: When [[PlantPerson Kii]] the dryad latches roots onto her breasts, Suu has one. She's also prone to causing the other girls to have them whenever she gets thirsty.
* InnocentFanserviceGirl: Part and parcel of being from a race without any real culture or language whose [[BlobMonster body type]] makes most clothes impossible.
* InnocentlyInsensitive: Suu knows about as much about social norms as a newborn child. Hence the... well, look a few tropes up. Whatever brain-to-mouth filter she may possess shorts out when she ingests poisonous materials.
* KryptoniteProofSuit: Gets a waterproof wetsuit in chapter 35 when she needs to enter the water. However, it doesn't cover her head, which Kimihito realizes just a little too late (fortunately, this only results in BreastExpansion).
* LimitedWardrobe: The only clothes Suu ever wears is a raincoat with boots. Justified, since her liquid body would make nearly all clothes unusable for her. The anime even has a short that shows Suu's closet is filled with nothing but identical yellow raincoats.
* LogicalWeakness:
** As she's made entirely of some liquid-like substance, she becomes "diluted" when submerged in a bathtub-sized body of water, and takes time to reform and drag herself out of it. If she falls into a ''huge'' enough body of water (e.g. a river) or gets caught in a heavy storm, however, the dilution effect would be serious enough to ''kill'' her.
** On the opposite side of the coin, dehydrating her shrinks her and makes her lose her humanoid form and revert to a compact blob, but doing so is akin to ''starving'' her. Most of the hijinks revolving around her involve her attacking anyone with even a trace of moisture on them.
** Off another tangent, she is also susceptible to freezing temperatures due to her liquid body.
* LovableSexManiac: While it's not specifically sex that she's after, the other girls consider her to be one and tell Rachnera to get used to being violated by her.
* MarryThemAll: She openly supports this option. However, if Kimihito only chose one she believes she is the most worthy (though it's not clear how much she understands what being married means).
* MorphicResonance: Regardless of whether she's in blob, child, or adult form, or mimicking another person or object, she always has her antenna, though she can at least conceal it when forming a perfect imitation of someone else.
* NewPowersAsThePlotDemands:
** Suu has done this a lot throughout the series, helped by the fact that she's a non-mythological monster without defined powers, and by the fact that hers is a new species about which little is known.
** In chapter 30 we get her newest revealed ability, being able to control her body's digestive ability to the extent that she can remove the skins of vegetables and fruits and spit them out intact, making her very helpful for cooking.
* ObfuscatingStupidity:
** While no one is sure how long she's been able to, she accidentally reveals that she can speak in more than just mimicked phrases. As soon as she's called out on it, she goes back to mimicking.
** She's also the one to [[spoiler: put the kibosh on the Director's plans to sell Papi's egg (and more than that, her dignity) by reading his mind and broadcasting his true intentions for all to hear.]]
** Chapter 20 reveals that her intelligence is based upon her size. As a blob able to fit in a bucket she's essentially just running on instinct, in her base form her intelligence is that of a child, and in kaiju form she's able to make scientific deductions based on her surroundings. Though in Chapter 25 her "child" form is still able to hold a conversation once out of sight of everyone but Kimihito, and makes rude insults when taste-testing possibly-poisonous plants has given her a "venomous" tongue.
* PersonalityPowers: As a SlimeGirl, anything she consumes will be shown through her attitude and form. She really makes the phrase "you are what you eat" literal in a sense.
** Chapter 20: Suu falling down into a radioactive fertilizer from the dump site supercharges her size in proportion to Franchise/{{Godzilla}}.
** Chapter 25: shows her speech pattern filled with toxic TrashTalk after ingesting poisonous mushrooms in the forest.
** Chapter 31: has her ingesting mineral water, which gives her a professional secretary demeanor.
** Chapter 36: [[spoiler:After absorbing nutrients from the Sea she becomes, essentially, a MILF in appearance and personality.]]
* OneWingedAngel: In the anime's adaptation of Chapter 20, when Suu makes her kaiju-sized debut she turns her hair tentacles [[Franchise/{{Godzilla}} into a tail and jagged dorsal fins]], and even spits a beam of energy.
* TheQuietOne: She doesn't talk much, though that's because she's still learning how to talk. [[ObfuscatingStupidity Or is she? No one can really be sure anymore.]] She is fully capable of speech as of Chapter 20, though.
* RunningGag:
** Her small blob form being put inside of a bucket.
** She also seems to randomly attack Rachnee at least once a day even if she hasn't been splashed or gotten wet. Rachnee's continued use of bondage on the other girls likewise seems to be her way of trying to find new ways to resist these attacks. Given that Suu typically emits a heart emote or two when she dives Rachnee, she might just see it as an on-going game.
* SexierAlterEgo: She can absorb water to make herself taller, bouncier, and curvier than usual, complete with major BreastExpansion. It also ([[AmbiguousInnocence possibly]]) gives her an intelligence upgrade.
* SlimeGirl: A shining, or rather slimy, example.
* SmartPeopleWearGlasses: When she gets an intelligence boost after soaking in mineral-enriched water, she suddenly alters her face to look like she's wearing glasses.
* SpellMyNameWithAnS: The cover art for Chapter 10 spells her name as "Sue".
* {{Telepathy}}: In addition to knowing the emotions of people she's touching, she can see their memories as well.
* ThirdPersonPerson: Once she starts talking normally, she refers to herself in third person.
* TooKinkyToTorture: Rachnee wanted to play "games" with Suu and Papi while the others were at the health club, but apparently the end result is Rachnee exhausted and Suu and Papi happily swinging around in arachne webs.
* VoiceChangeling: She can mimic a person's voice precisely depending on the persona she takes on.
* VoluntaryShapeshifting: Suu manages to be an even better shapeshifter than Doppel ''and'' Ninetei. While Doppel can change her clothes but is limited to transforming into humanoids, and Ninetei can transform into anything but can't change her clothes, Suu can do all of that and more. She can shapeshift herself around other people to become their clothes, or even transform into functioning arms and legs.
* YouGottaHaveBlueHair: Green. Well, the slime that makes up her hair anyway.
* YourSizeMayVary: Her raincoat's length seems to adjust along with her size when compared to her boots. While in her more childlike form, it looks like a BadassLongcoat. While in her adult form it's barely any larger than a shirt, despite the boots still only going up about halfway to the knees.

[[folder:Meroune Lorelei]]

[[caption-width-right:354:Mero makes a splash]]

-> Voiced by: Creator/HarukaYamazaki

A mermaid and the fourth girl to ''officially'' move in with Kimihito (Ms. Smith has, unsurprisingly, considered Suu to not be her problem). Wheelchair-bound for obvious reasons when out of the water, she first meets Kimihito when she loses control of it and he saves her. After she helps him find the other girls, it's revealed the waterproof room being built in Kimihito's house wasn't for Suu at all; instead it was so Ms. Smith could dump her off on him.
* {{Adorkable}}: Not quite to the degree of Centorea, but Meroune has her share of awkward moments, mostly her being InnocentlyInsensitive. Examples include when she interrupts what would have been Kimihito and Miia's first kiss with fish trivia, or when she cheerfully tries to compliment Miia by saying she "swam like an eel."
* BareYourMidriff: When not wearing her maid outfit, she spends most of her time around the house in a bikini top, probably so she can slip easily in and out of the pool in her room whenever she wants.
* BeCarefulWhatYouWishFor: [[spoiler: After seeing Kimihito and Miia's lovely date together in Chapter 19, Mero discovers the feelings of jealousy and loss--and they're not what she expected, even though she wanted it to happen.]]
* BewareTheNiceOnes: Normally Mero is the very image of polite and gentle, [[http://i.imgur.com/UKv23bA.png?1 but she crowned Papi]] with a ''wicked'' tail slap in an unconscious effort to protect The Couch That Turns People Into Mush from the harpy's talons.
* BiTheWay: In the official English version, she states that she's okay being the mistress to Miia's wife, as long as Miia overlooks the affair ...or permits the occasional ''menage a trois''. And she proceeds to grope Miia to emphasize this.
* CharacterDevelopment: When first introduced, Mero has an unhealthy fixation on "tragic romance". Over the course of the series, she has endured the possibility of all her fantasies becoming a reality and realized that while they make for nice fantasies, she would be heartbroken if they actually happened. By chapter 37, she has mostly realized that what she really wants is to marry Kimihito and have a normal, happy life (though the idea of Kimihito having a mistress, namely Miia, still sounds good to her).
* CharacterTics: Clasping her webbed hands together. Suu also does it when imitating her.
* CharmPerson: Further hinting at royal origins, she possesses a compelling regal aura capable of making people genuflect when speaking. She also uses it to inspire people feeling down about themselves.
* CovertPervert: Doesn't really mind getting tied up by Rachnera since it feels good to her.
* CrashIntoHello: Kimihito plucks her from her runaway wheelchair and ends up smashed between her and a pole during their first encounter.
* DontCallMeSir: Once [[spoiler:she's revealed to be a princess]], she becomes very uncomfortable about Kimihito's and the other girls' (mainly Centorea's) change of attitude towards her and asks them to not treat her any different [[spoiler:only because they now know she's royalty]].
* DramaQueen: A bit, usually whenever she gets starry-eyed over the prospect of tragedy.
* ElegantGothicLolita: This is how she dresses, although it's noticeably more {{Stripperiffic}} than the norm.
* EverythingsBetterWithPrincesses: Centorea and other people she meets certainly get a "royalty" vibe from her, and she ''does'' seem to know an awful lot about knights and nobles. [[spoiler: Confirmed in Chapter 34.]]
* ExactWords: Done during a conversation with Miia; at first it comes off as her exposing herself as a {{Yandere}}, but in retrospect is in fact her admitting she only wants second place.
--> '''Miia''': Well, anyway!! I'm going to make sure you don't get your hands on my Darling! Got it?!\\
'''Meroune''': Oh, don't worry. [[DullEyesofUnhappiness The feeling...... is mutual.]]
* ExpressiveEars: They drooped when she took a bite of Miia's cooking.
* GracefulInTheirElement: Requires a wheelchair to move around on land, but put her in the water and she outstrips the greatest human swimmer. The gym chapter stresses this by letting her show off some impressive flips and turns.
* {{Hammerspace}}: Keeps a large, heavy-looking conch shell ...somewhere that she whips out to smack people sometimes: Kimihito, Sebastian and Potemkin have all been on the receiving end at some point.
* HeroicSacrifice: [[spoiler: [[SubvertedTrope Almost]] ends up making one in chapter 37, in order to save Kimihito from drowning. She gives him CPR underwater using the air from her swim bladder, in the process giving up her ability to control her bouyancy. Her tail was heavily damaged from rubble, preventing her from swimming effectively, and she was almost sucked by a current into a grid of spikes. Fortunately, Kimihito managed to use leftover strings from Rachnera to pull her up along with himself being pulled by Miia.]]
* IgnoredEpiphany: At first it seems like the events of chapter 37 have finally snapped Mero out of her "tragic romance" fantasy when she realises how losing in love would actually feel... But no, she just wants to flip the script now, with Miia being the runner up in the tragedy instead, much to the latter's indignation.
* InnocentlyInsensitive: Sometimes. She's sincere in her compliments, it's just her choice of words are usually... poor.
-->'''Meroune''': There, there, Miia-sama was amazing as well. You swam just like an eel! ''([[LampshadeHanging Totally innocent.]])''
* {{Keigo}}: Always speaks very politely, which was part of Cerea's suspicion toward her background.
* LargeHam: Not always, but when she lapses into "tragic heroine" mode she can rival Cerea.
* LimitedWardrobe: She's typically seen either in a Gothic Lolita maid-style outfit or a bikini. A look inside her wardrobe in chapter 26 reveals she has a number of clothes, but they're all Gothic Lolita (and according to chapter 23, only her maid-style outfit is suitable for a funeral).
* LogicalWeakness:
** Given that mermaids breathe water, the purity of the water is important. Swimming in chlorinated water is dangerous to her health; it would be the human equivalent of breathing in bleach fumes.
** Her skin needs to be wet so she can breathe on land, meaning if the air becomes too hot, her skin will dry out, making it hard for her to breathe. On the flipside, if the air is so cold it's freezing, her skin will get frozen, which also makes it hard for her to breathe, if not worse.
* LoveEpiphany: She has one at the end of chapter 19, after Miia and Kimihito's date at the aquarium. This after claiming to only want to experience a tragic love like in ''Literature/TheLittleMermaid''.
** Later, she specifically realises that she doesn't want the tragic ending that ''actually'' occurs in the story, but [[EarnYourHappyEnding the happy ending that the mermaid had wanted]].
* MarshmallowHell: It's what Kimihito gets after saving her from her runaway wheelchair in their first meeting.
* MeaningfulName: Her middle name, Lorelei, refers to a famous siren from German folklore. Her surname, du Neptune, refers to the Roman god of the sea.
* MermaidProblem: Not an issue, if her attempt to copulate with Kimihito in Chapter 24 is any indication, and in hindsight her clothes ''do'' cover the part of her body one would expect.
* ModestRoyalty: In the "dresses like a commoner" sense, not in the "too modest to spend an entire chapter either in a bikini or out of it" sense.
* MomentKiller: She accidentally does this to Miia and Kimihito in Chapter 19.
* {{Netorare}}: A fan of being on the losing end, as per her ''Literature/TheLittleMermaid'' fetish. [[spoiler:[[BeCarefulWhatYouWishFor Chapter 19]] [[{{Deconstruction}} deconstructs this]] to let her know that it isn't what she thought it was going to be, ultimately changing her mind entirely in Chapter 37. [[IgnoredEpiphany By which we mean wanting Miia to be the runner up instead.]]]]
* NiceGirl: [[InnocentlyInsensitive Insensitive moments]] aside, she is unfailingly kind and polite to everyone she meets.
* NightmareFetishist: She just loves to be a victim of tragedy in general, whether it's unrequited love, her lover dying, or herself dying and leaving her lover behind. [[LampshadeHanging Miia even calls her a "tragedy freak."]] [[spoiler:However, she doesn't enjoy actually experiencing it in chapter 19, and in Chapter 24 shifts her priorities to having Kimihito's children so that she can [[SomeoneToRememberHimBy raise them without him]].]]
** She eventually becomes a Deconstruction. Every time one of her fantasies seems like it might come true, she very abruptly realizes how emotionally painful it is and that she doesn't actually want it.
* {{Ojou}}: In the "hot springs dating" incident, she mentions being independently wealthy and able to financially support her partner. [[spoiler:It's later revealed she's not only rich, she's a princess.]]
* OjouRinglets: Has straight hair that curls into ringlets, which befits her ElegantGothicLolita attire and princess-y behavior. [[spoiler:And she really is a princess.]]
* OurMermaidsAreDifferent: Apparently they have webbed hands, fin-like ears, gills along their rib cages, and a pronounced set of pelvic fins. Also they can survive on land so long as there is a decent amount of humidity, and give off a mucus-like secretion to retain moisture. And that's just Mero: chapter 35 shows that merfolk come in all shapes and sizes, some of them being straight-up ''weird''. One female merperson has a human body and a fish for a head. An ''entire'' fish.
* OverlyLongName: Chapter 35 reveals her full name is Meroune Lorelei du Neptune.
* PerkyGoth: Dresses in the ElegantGothicLolita style and is a bit of a NightmareFetishist, but has a very warm personality overall.
* PrincessClassic: Besides her bizarre wish for tragedy, she's a polite and graceful beautiful lady with a "royal aura". [[spoiler:She's later confirmed to be a real princess.]]
* PrincessesPreferPink: She has long pink hair and a pink tail, contributing to her princess-y looks [[spoiler:and serving as hints that she really is a princess]].
* RapunzelHair: It goes past her waist.
* ReallyRoyaltyReveal: She's been long thought to have a "royal aura", and it turns out [[spoiler:she really is royalty. And a princess no less!]]
* RoseHairedSweetie: Very princess-y and refined, whatever her bizarre interests.
* ShipperOnDeck: She wants anyone ''but'' herself to be with Kimihito (solely so she can be the mistress), primarily Miia as she was the only one to openly acknowledge being interested in him.
** By chapter 37, she's realized that she actually does want to be with Kimihito - but she's still on board with Miia getting together with him, so that ''Miia'' can be the mistress, the girl he's unable to forget.
* SkinshipGrope: Inflicts this on Miia at the end of her debut chapter while the two are reconciling.
* SomeoneToRememberHimBy: After realizing that {{netorare}} wasn't all it was cracked up to be, and believing that Kimihito was soon going to die, she immediately tried to seduce him in order to have ''this'' sort of tragedy instead.
* StarCrossedLovers: [[spoiler:She professes to get excited about being separated from Kimihito in chapter 35, but underneath apparently realizes how painful it would be.]]
* ThinksLikeARomanceNovel: Wants to experience a "tragic love" like in the original Little Mermaid story, including turning into sea foam.
* TooKinkyToTorture: After eating some of Miia's cooking, it brings to mind having her fins painfully split apart into legs. Afterwards, she is seen collapsed on the floor ''smiling'' about it, despite foaming at the mouth. Later, once Rachnera ties her up, she finds herself rather enjoying it.
* UnrequitedTragicMaiden: She wants to be one. She doesn't want to be a third lover though; there's no tragic romance when it comes to third place. However, she changes her mind by chapter 37, deciding that she wants a requited love after all.
* VisualPun: Mer'''''maid'''''. Get it?
* WardrobeMalfunction: Mermaids secrete a slime to keep themselves moist. The result causes this to happen when she wears clothing not designed around avoiding this.
* WaterfallPuke: Afflicted with this when she starts getting chlorine poisoning from the pool.
* YouGottaHaveBlueHair: She has pink hair.

[[folder:Rachnera Arachnera]]

[[caption-width-right:350:Rachnee catches her prey]]

-> Voiced by: Creator/SakuraNakamura

An Arachne and the fifth girl to officially move in with Kimihito. Her original host family had sold her off to the director because they were expecting a monster girl who wasn't so...monstrous. This and the director's behavior left her hating humans, until she met Kimihito.

* ActionGirl: Put it this way: Rachnera is to guerrilla fighters or covert operators as Centorea is to knights - she's an ambush predator. She's also particularly good with her webs: Miia jumps at her when she first shows up and tries to put the moves on Kimihito, and is completely restrained in webbing a panel later with Rachnee ignoring her outright. She can even catch by surprise Centorea, the only one with a warrior background.
* AffectionateNickname:
** The household starts calling her "Rachnee" as soon as she moves in. In Japanese it's written "Raku-[[JapaneseSiblingTerminology nee]]", as in "big sister Rach".
** In the official English release, she's known as "Spidey" as well.
** She calls Kimihito "Honey."
* AmbiguouslyBi: Likes to put the girls in bondage as much as she does Kimihito. She also admits, while drunk, that she did this with Ren Kunanzuki when she lived with her. Then there's the time she had her way with Lilith in Chapter 21, or her amicable relationship with [[spoiler: Oct, when they casually discuss how much they enjoyed getting tied up / tentacled.]]
* ArmorPiercingQuestion:
** From Chapter 18, to Miia.
--->'''Rachnera''': [[spoiler: You're making a huge fuss about [Kimihito] cheating on you, but do you really think you can stand to witness it? Can you really handle seeing your beloved Darling making love to another woman?]]
** [[spoiler: For the record, he isn't, but Miia looks scared there]].
* ArtEvolution: Rachnera' pedipalps have over time been drawn to look more like the legs of a human (albeit missing the feet and covered in chitin). This is certainly attractive, but has led some to say it makes her look more like a human with a giant spider stuck to her rear (ignoring the various spider features of her humanoid portion).
* BadDreams: She still has nightmares about the time she hurt Ren.
* BareYourMidriff: Well, when your body makes pants impossible...
* BeneathTheMask: Due to her FreudianExcuse from her host family, she detests {{hypocrite}}s and people putting on a mask of false kindness. She would rather see the person be their honest self than the mask they wear.
* BerserkButton: Do not poke fun at her FreudianExcuse or she will tie you up bondage style.
* BizarreAlienBiology:
** Apparently breathes out of her abdomen, like regular spiders. Miia thinks she can also breathe out her mouth. It's not clear if that's actually true, but the fact her mouth moves when she speaks [[RequiredSecondaryPowers implies]] she can exhale past her vocal cords and lips.
** [[ShownTheirWork Like spiders,]] Rachnee gets [[DrunkOnMilk drunk on]] [[AlienCatnip caffeine]].
** Her webgame profile from the official website reveals that she only weighs 82 kilos (180 pounds), despite her massive size. In Chapter 17, when some of the girls had learned that they were overweight from a combination of overeating Kimihito's cooking and not being able to exercise much without Kimihito's presence, she proudly says that she doesn't need to go to the new Extraspecies gym like they do.
* BrainsAndBondage: Easily the most clever and level-headed of Kimihito's harem (most of the time), and the most careful with her strength. The bondage part is obvious.
* BrokenBird: After her rejection from her first host family and being sold off into slavery, she's very bitter towards the human race and slow to trust anyone.
* BrutalHonesty: Rachnera generally does this as she doesn't like sugar-coating things. Such as when she tells Centorea [[spoiler:her sandwiches are not very good because she just put chopped raw vegetables between two pieces of bread]].
* BullyingADragon: She tends to be the "Dragon" in this case.
* CantHoldHerLiquor: Strange example, in that Rachnera doesn't get drunk on alcohol, she gets drunk on ''caffeine''. That being said, she gets very tipsy after only one cup of black coffee.
* CasualKink: Really enjoys tying people up much like a dominatrix would. And she enjoys testing new methods on the other girls.
* {{Catchphrase}}: The English manga gave her the descriptive phrase "itsy-bitsy", referring to the nursery rhyme "The Itsy-Bitsy Spider".
* ContraltoOfDanger: In the anime, she has the deepest voice of the monster girls seen thus far.
* CuddleBug: Separate from her love of tying others up she tends to get very tactile with Kimihito when she's in a good mood, to a point that rivals even Miia. She especially seems to like caressing him, which is quite impressive given how sharp her claws are and [[TheFettered how she manages to do it without injuring him.]] She makes ample use of her breasts as well. Kimihito can't seem to bring himself to object to this all that much.
* DeadpanSnarker: To the point of mocking the use of [[JapanesePronouns honorifics]] when addressing her.
* DoesNotKnowHerOwnStrength: An explicit aversion, having realized the potential dangers of her body from her last host family. Bondage aside, she's never actually ''injured'' Kimihito (even while drunk), while the other girls regularly put him on death's door.
* DrunkOnMilk: Spiders get drunk off of caffeine. [[http://www.mangahere.co/manga/monster_musume_no_iru_nichijou/c026/33.html Rachnera is no exception.]]
* EvenTheGirlsWantHer: A variation, as Lilith becomes totally hooked on her incredible bondage skills. And Mero enthusiastically serves as a test subject for Rachnee's "training" in an extra chapter.
* ExtraEyes: She has six eyes. It doesn't come off as creepy...usually.
* FangsAreEvil: At first they come off this way, but eventually Rachnera's mood improves and they become CuteLittleFangs. Can snap right back if she puts on her NightmareFace, though.
* FemmeFatalons: Sort of. Her arms are covered in a black carapace from the shoulders down, and the gauntlet-like plating on her digits end in sharpened points.
* TheFettered: Perhaps ironically for a dominatrix, Rachnera is the girl with the most restraint towards Kimihito with regards to her strength and movements. [[GeniusBonus But then, any good Dom knows that they should only go so far, and would never inflict lasting harm on their Sub.]]
* FreakinessShame: Not so much shame as realizing people may be put off by her spider parts. Kimihito admitting that he finds her legs charming is part of what gets her to realize he's not a bad person at all.
* FreudianExcuse: She hates humans and refuses to trust them because her original host family sold her off into slavery.
* TheGadfly: She'll often say things just to rile up the other girls, [[ClingyJealousGirl especially Miia]].
* HiddenDepths: Lilith, after being captured, sneers that the reason Rachnera is a StealthExpert and TheTease is that she's so afraid of suffering prejudice and rejection again that she tries to stay out of the public eye and [[ControlFreak keep friendships going under her own terms]]. While she doesn't directly respond, Rachnera's [[BrainsAndBondage furious response]] implies that Lilith touched a nerve.
** In chapter 30, Kimihito notes that, despite her FreakinessShame, she's the only one who hasn't [[DoesNotKnowHerOwnStrength accidentally injured him]] before. That particular accident with Ren Kunanzuki has taught her the importance of being gentle with humans. As for Rachnera's response to Kimihito's remark about her gentleness, it was effectively InstantSeduction.
* HumansAreTheRealMonsters: Her general opinion on them. She tries to prove that Kimihito is no different, and eventually opts to arrange to move in with him when she finds out that he is, in fact, a decent person who doesn't discriminate against non-humans.
--> '''Rachnera:''' (''drunk'') You don't worry about the little things, Honey. No, you don't worry about the big things either. Honey doesn't pay too much mind to anyone... Everyone's equal. Everyone's the same. That's why it's so easy to get along with you.
* {{Hypocrite}}: Heavily implied, if not outright stated by Lilith; Rachnera's cold outer exterior is meant to hide a deeply hurting individual. For as much as Rachnera looks down on people who hide their true nature behind a mask, she herself wears one of tough cynicism.
* HypocriticalHumor: Calls Kimihito a hypocrite for getting turned on by her human parts, believing that like other humans, he finds her spider half disgusting. When he states he finds her legs to be "charming," she laughs at him and calls him a pervert who gets turned on by spider legs (and given that, aside from Lala, none of the monster girls he lives with have normal human legs if they have legs at all...).
* InVinoVeritas: She's apparently [[LooseLips more forthcoming with her feelings]] when sloshed.
* KillTheOnesYouLove: She sides with [[spoiler:Lala while believing she's actually a grim reaper, with the reasoning being if Kimihito has to die they should just [[GetItOverWith let him die peacefully]] rather than subject him to all of the injuries he suffers from the other girls trying to outrun her. [[SubvertedTrope Fortunately he's not really going to die]].]] She's shown to be just as embarrassed and ashamed of it afterward as the rest of the girls.
* LogicalWeakness:
** As stated in the chapter 23 extra, "Arachne are helpless against those they cannot ensnare or tie up.". Promptly demonstrated by Suu. [[RunningGag Again.]]
** Rachnee has very little tolerance to extreme temperatures, hot or cold.
* LovableSexManiac: More than any of the other girls she will try to jump Kimihito whenever she has the opportunity, even if she has an audience (unlike Miia).
* MadeASlave: She was sold off into slavery by her original host family.
* MarshmallowHell: After noticing Kimihito's hard-on she sets up her web in a way that if he opens his mouth he'll fall, strips off her top, and proceeds to inflict this on him as "punishment". She does it for fun at other times as well.
* ModestyBedsheet: Utterly subverted as she doesn't even use a bedsheet, she sleeps on a silk hammock in the glorious nude.
** In fact, the anime shorts have shown that when she's alone in her room she even reads in the nude.
* MonochromaticEyes: Her eyes are [[RedEyesTakeWarning pure red]], lending to her creepy appearance.
* MundaneUtility: An arachne's silk developed to catch prey and assist in climbing, but Rachnera also uses hers to make clothing, dolls, and thread phones, to bundle up things when packing, and (of course) for bondage techniques. Additionally, her claws (developed to dispatch prey items) make excellent letter openers.
* NightmareFace: [[http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/rachneraface_1047.png She can don a truly impressive one]]. If the text font is anything to go by, she also puts on a [[HellIsThatNoise voice]] to match.
* ObviouslyEvil:
** Subverted. She has a massive skull design on her spider-like body and dresses like a FemmeFatale, and her first appearance involves more or less mummifying a man and expressing an implied violent interest in Kimihito. She kidnaps him, binds him in webbing, and suspends him from the ceiling ''repeatedly''. She's actually just a rightfully bitter person who's been screwed over by humans repeatedly, looking for one that's actually decent and worth living with.
** Played up by Rachnera when called for. She is aware of how dangerous she looks and has no qualms about using this to her advantage. It comes in especially handy with the "humans are forbidden from harming extra-species, and vice-versa" law that's in effect; scaring away a would-be attacker isn't ''technically'' harming him, after all...
* OffscreenTeleportation: Seems to move very, very fast when not in a frame. For instance suddenly appearing on the ceiling when she was on the floor a moment ago. Justified by the fact that fleeing spiders are pretty quick.
* OnlySaneWoman: Bondage aside, she is more level-headed (and less prone to flights of fancy) than Centorea, and never joins in squabbles over Kimihito.
* PayEvilUntoEvil:
** When she finds out that there ''might'' be a decent human, Kimihito, she turns on the director, encasing him in webbing and leaving him for the police to find, and proceeds to use that time to abduct and investigate Kimihito.
** This was also used against the [[{{Jerkass}} Jerkasses]] in Chapter 16 [[spoiler:that [[AttemptedRape attempted to rape]] Centorea when they knew she could not fight back.]]
* PeekABangs: Sometimes, but not always. It usually happens when she's being especially standoffish or cynical.
* RazorFloss: One of the ''many'' applications she has for her silk.
* RepetitiveName: '''Rachnera''' A'''rachnera'''.
* SarcasticDevotee: Snarky, sharp-tongued, cynical, and biting in her criticism. Her love for Kimihito is as strong as that of any other member of the harem.
* ScaryTeeth: She has shark-like teeth, though they're only really noticeable when she's pissed off.
* ShesGotLegs: Eight of 'em, according to Kimihito.
** Ten if you count the spider pedipalps that prolong her human thighs.
* SleepCute: While Kimihito doesn't fall asleep himself, it is quite cute how Rachnera falls asleep while giving him a multi-limbed hug.
* SpiderPeople: She's an Arachne.
* SpidersAreScary: Zig-zagged, as seen above. While she's actually not too bad most of the time, she can be downright ''terrifying'' when the situation calls for it.
* SpiderSense: Acute enough to dodge a ''sniper round''.
* StealthExpert: Despite her size, [[SpiderPeople Rachnera]] is quite good at remaining unseen thanks to her {{Wall Crawl}}ing skills and SpiderSense.
* {{Stripperiffic}}: Easily the most provocatively-dressed of the girls, barring Suu.
* SuperHumanTrafficking: Her original host family [[MadeASlave sold her off to the director]], who used her and her webbing to make money.
* SuperSpeed: Faster than all of the girls, at least.
* SureLetsGoWithThat: When Oct wants to know [[spoiler: whether she'd set up the trap she catches the scylla in because she'd anticipated the whole situation in advance. She'd actually put it out just to mess with her teammates.]]
* TheTease: Kind of a lot, actually, even by this manga's standards. She pretty much starts putting the moves on Kimihito - albeit in a mocking fashion - even before she moves in. Once she does move in, she spends an entire day trying to get into his pants.
* TokenEvilTeammate: She's not evil per se, but she does enjoy tying up the other girls with or without consent, except Suu, who she's unable to bind at all. And when she first ties up Lala, she's unable to get a response due to the latter missing her head at the time.
* {{Underboobs}}: So much so that the first time Kimihito was on the ground looking up at her, her nipples were totally exposed. Even her more casual articles of clothing leave a generous amount exposed.
* UnreliableNarrator: Her initial recount of her FreudianExcuse seemed to imply a lot more malice on the part of her host family, in that they pawned her off to the director because they were disgusted by her appearance and didn't want to deal with her. [[spoiler: It's later revealed that while the family may have been off-put and intimidated by her, they only put their foot down when Rachnera accidentally gave their daughter a slash across the face with her claws. Furthermore, they were under the impression that the director worked for the exchange program and would transfer her to a new foster home. They (or at least Ren) were [[MyGodWhatHaveIDone appalled]] when they found out [[MadeASlave what happened to Rachnera]] and sent Ren to try and start over.]]
* WhatTheHellHero: In chapter 30, she's the only one to pick up on Kimihito just taking all the girls' abuse for the sake of potential marriage, and criticizes him for putting his life at risk.
* YouGottaHaveBlueHair: Light lavender. Lends well to her "dark" appearance.

[[caption-width-right:339:Lala owns your soul]]

-> Voiced by: Creator/AiKakuma

A Dullahan, the ''second'' "D", and the sixth girl to officially move in with Kimihito. She initially introduced herself as a grim reaper who was there due to Kimihito's impending death, when in fact she merely enjoys pretending to be a grim reaper and really showed up because she was on the run from Ms. Smith and fascinated by [[MadeOfIron Kimihito's apparent invulnerability]].

Because she's introduced very late into the story, and because several significant reveals are linked directly to her, Lala is a WalkingSpoiler. You have been warned.

* ADayInTheLimelight: Lala gets this in Chapter 38, as the plotline focuses on her and a [[spoiler: terminally ill girl in a hospital.]]
* {{Adorkable}}: Some of her spiels of self-grandeur are often humorously over the top, and she's unsure of how to interact with young children.
* AmazingTechnicolorPopulation: She has blue skin.
* AntiquatedLinguistics: Used to give her an ominous and mystical aura (it's more obvious in Japanese). Also see SesquipedalianLoquaciousness below. She tends to drop it when showing vulnerability, though, like when cutely begging Kimihito to get her head back to her body after initially ordering him like an inferior being, and when Ms. Smith is intimidating her.
* BadassInDistress: Her head and body being so far separated keeps her from using her powers. This would normally not be much of a problem according to her, but she doesn't have the time as she's being hunted by "[[TheOmniscientCouncilOfVagueness The Organization]]". It's revealed in Chapter 24 that the so called "Organization" is just Ms. Smith doing her job of making sure that she isn't running off on her host families.
* BaitAndSwitch: Initially implied to be the second "D", she actually arrived to warn Kimihito about his impending death. When questioned about the note, her response is that her only purpose in interacting with mortals is to warn them of their deaths, so it was assumed she did not write the letter. It's then [[DoubleSubversion revealed]] she really '''is''' the ''second "D"''.
* BlackEyesOfCrazy: She has black sclera and is sinister and morbid, but like Doppel and Lilith she's not evil.
* BlueSkinnedSpaceBabe: The cover of volume 7 reveals that, among the other odd parts of her appearance her skin is [[https://twitter.com/ikamiki/status/553457564097081344/photo/1 a pale blue color]], which makes a certain amount of sense given her mythical origins. That said, she's also the most physically-human in appearance of all the girls living at Kimihito's house.
* BrokenStreak:
** She may be a part of the 'family', but she's the first of them who doesn't show any clear romantic attraction to Kimihito. She does fancy him quite a bit, of course, but doesn't feel the need to pursue him at all, since [[spoiler:she's fine with the fact that she'll have him forever once he dies]].
** She's the only member of the main cast who doesn't have a nickname for Kimihito, ([[HeyYou though she's yet to address him in any way outside of pronouns]]).
** She's the only girl living with Kimihito to not be shown naked (outside of some imagine spots, but she wasn't actually stripped down).
* TheComicallySerious: The expression on her face never changes even in comical moments, which can make her really funny. Her headless body is actually a lot more expressive.
* DemotedToExtra: After her arc's over, she's pretty much a background character that pops in once in a while. This is justified in story by saying that Lala has so little presence that even her own housemates, except for Kurusu, forget she's even there. However, she does get her own chapter.
* FriendToAllChildren: Has a very soft spot for kids. She just can't mingle with them very well.
* GlowingEyesOfDoom: While her head is on her shoulders, they appear normal. Once she's carrying her head in her hands behind Kimihito they appear to be glowing. After being revealed completely, the glow is gone.
* GoryDiscretionShot: Her neck stump looks just as you'd expect from a normal decapitated body, to Miia's horror.
* {{Goth}}: Turns out that this is basically what she is. Her doom and gloom speeches are the same sort of thing you hear from some angry kid discovering black makeup for the first time--her ability to pull her own head off just gives her a bit more dramatic strength. [[spoiler: [[SarcasticConfession Then again...]]]]
* TheGrimReaper: She's a Dullahan and refers to herself as both "Death Incarnate" and "The Huntress of Death": ultimately, it's averted, however. In the end, she's just a Monster Girl no more supernatural than the rest of the girls, and her connection to Death is her just playing pretend. [[spoiler: She's [[HidingInPlainSight pretending to play pretend]] to hide the fact that she actually does have some power over death, though it's pretty much limited to being able to talk with Kimihito when he's on the verge of entering the afterlife.]]
* HeadlessHorseman: She's a Dullahan, this comes with the territory. No word on if she has a horse or [[MyHorseIsAMotorbike bike]] though.
* IdiotHair: In the shape of a scythe that's nearly as large as [[LightNovel/HaiyoreNyarkoSan Nyarko's]]. It's notably absent when [[spoiler:she's speaking with Kimihito in the afterlife and being incredibly straightforward about her opinion of Kimihito.]]
* TheImmodestOrgasm: Courtesy of Rachnera and Suu on her body while Kimihito and a few of the girls are looking for her head. Kimihito is ''not'' amused at the fact that, while he's trying to hide from the police, Lala's head suddenly (and ''loudly'') moans in pleasure.
* IWillWaitForYou: In a way, Lala's confession to Kimihito is this. [[spoiler: She states she has no interest in chasing him like the other girls do because she knows that one day he will die. And since she is part of the underworld they can be together then.]]
* LimitedWardrobe: Lala has worn four outfits throughout the series but two of those are her standard outfit without the coat, scarf, and gloves while the other one was a kimono she borrowed as a client of the Arctic Inn.
* LosingYourHead: Although a natural thing for her, most of the time is uncalled and unwanted. During her introduction, she lost her head approaching Kimihito and had to get his assistance in finding it as it went rolling downhill and into a park.
* MsImagination:
** Turns out that all her death talk and being a grim reaper is just delusional banter equivalent to 8th grader syndrome.[[note]]A Japanese slang term for delusions of grandeur, culturally associated with young teenagers.[[/note]]
** [[spoiler:She actually does have ''some'' supernatural abilities though, which means she may not actually be a chuuni, but is making people ''believe'' she is.]]
* MundaneUtility:
** She's frequently seen pulling off her head to peek over the shoulders of the other girls and one time [[LeaningOnTheFourthWall made it so a speech bubble didn't block her head in chapter 26]].
** She sometimes uses her scythe for pretty mundane things. Such as offering it to Centorea as a letter opener.
* MysticalWhiteHair: Her hair is white, which hints at her being a Dullahan.
* ObfuscatingStupidity: The others dismiss her talk of being a psychopomp as delusional banter. [[spoiler:To an extent, it's '''not'''.]]
* OffscreenTeleportation: Lala has a tendency to appear and disappear off-panel. [[spoiler:Chapter 38 reveals she ''can'' actually teleport.]]
** She manages to cross a street and get behind Kimihito in the time it took for a truck to pass by breaking his line of sight on her. She pulls it off again when chasing him and the other girls down. [[spoiler: She had Rachnera's assistance that time.]] [[JustifiedTrope Justified]] since in the Irish tales, once a Dullahan is after you, you ''will not'' get away unless you throw gold at them.
** When Yukio accidentally freezes Kimihito in Chapter 31, Lala is shown watching him defrost on the next page - [[spoiler:presumably after meeting him in the afterlife]] - with Papi [[DiscussedTrope asking her how and when she arrived at the hotspring]].
* OutOfFocus: PlayedForLaughs and lampshaded. She "has no presence" and following her arc mostly appears in the background of the house, if at that.
** She isn't even initially taken with the group to the hot springs, as noted in OffscreenTeleportation.
** Likewise she is ignored/missing when the group go to the hotel with Mero.
* {{Psychopomp}}: She claims to be an incarnation of Death. While this is initially dismissed as a childish delusion, [[spoiler:in Chapter 30 its revealed she can and does communicate with Kimihito whenever he has a near-death experience, though she doesn't actually bring him back to life]].
* RapunzelHair: When she has her head in its place, her hair can reach past her waist.
* RedOniBlueOni: An interesting case where the head is blue and the body is red. Her head acts calm with little emotion but the body, ironically, is more expressive when they are separate.
* ReversePsychology: Lala actively employees this tactic to trick people into believing that her status as an actual {{Psychopomp}} is just her being overly dramatic. Needless to say, but this works on absolutely everyone who hasn't regularly appeared at death's literal doorstep like Kimihito.
* ScarfOfAsskicking: Used to hold her head in place.
* SesquipedalianLoquaciousness: Her longwinded and convoluted formulations make it hard to understand what she wants to say. It's apparently a trait of her species.
* ShownTheirWork: The girls mention a "horse-drawn carriage with a headless rider" and the image showed the horse also missing its head. In certain tellings of Dullahan stories, this is another way they can appear.
** Her SesquipedalianLoquaciousness[=/=]AntiquatedLinguistics are also most likely based on the fact that many old Irish/Celtic myths were ''very'' verbose and prone to PurpleProse
* ShyFingerTwiddling: She does this sometimes, usually when confronted by Ms. Smith.
* SinisterScythe: And she uses it to apparently prepare to decapitate Kimihito, hooking him around the neck as [[CliffHanger the chapter just ends]]. Turns out she did this to get his attention. It has an indent in it, and according to her profile, she doesn't really take care of it, so [[RealityEnsues it lacks an edge]]. Of course, it works just fine as a [[TapOnTheHead blunt instrument]]...
* StealthHiBye: Is very good at this, much to Kimihito's dismay.
* TheStoic: Her face is occasionally covered in sweat drops when she is stressed, but her bored stare never changes. [[TheImmodestOrgasm Except once, when Rachnera plays with her body.]]
* SugarAndIcePersonality: Very cold and blunt, but still a sweet girl who loves Kimihito just as much as the other girls.
* TakeAThirdOption: In chapter 38, she puts herself in a dilemma when she meets [[IllGirl Yuuhi]]. Does she [[spoiler: allow her to die from a terminal illness, or commit what is apparently a taboo for a Dullahan by extending her life? She eventually comes to the decision to [[EmergencyTransformation turn the girl into a zombie]] with one of Zombina's teeth.]]
* TogetherInDeath:
** The letter she sent implied this and was originally thought to just be a case of her chuuni habits.
** [[spoiler:However, she reveals in Chapter 30 she was being literal. In a really odd YourSoulIsMine kind of way. As a Dullahan, once Kimihito dies, he'll be with her in the afterlife...forever. And she's content to wait until then.]]
* TokenWholesome: She is the most wholesome member of the group by far. She shows the least amount of skin, has less fanservice moments than the others, and has had no nude scenes at all. The Lala-centric Chapter 38 notably had no fanservice whatsoever.
* WalkingSpoiler: Beyond entering fairly late into the story, it's impossible to explain why she likes Kimihito without revealing that [[spoiler: she [[SarcasticConfession really IS]] an agent of Death.]]
* WomanInWhite: [[spoiler:In the afterlife]] while talking to Kimihito, she trades in her normal outfit for a simple white dress and white thigh-highs. Upon closer inspection, one can notice she's wearing the white dress normally. She's just not wearing the coat, scarf, and gloves here.
* YourSoulIsMine: [[spoiler:She states that Kimihito's soul will belong to her once he dies.]]
* ZettaiRyouiki: Grade-A with her boots as best seen [[http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-QtkG6t1OaDc/U0Mt88awuOI/AAAAAAAAYeI/9HWlzgId1v0/034.png?imgmax=3000 here]].

[[folder:In General]]

[[caption-width-right:350:From left to right: Tionisha, Doppel, Zombina, Manako]]

A squad of four [[AmazonBrigade female]] monsters and [[TokenHuman Ms. Smith]], who go after those monsters who exploit the Interspecies Protection Act.
* ALizardNamedLiz: As usual, their names are based on their species[=/=]traits, but not exact matches.
* AmazonBrigade: One wonders why, actually. You know, besides the [[{{Fanservice}} obvious answer]].
* FiveManBand
** TheLeader: Ms. Smith tends to be the one orchestrating how things should play out, though being human leaves her typically unable to directly assist.
** TheLancer: Zombina, being declared the group's commander, is in charge of more immediate matters for MON while actively working.
** TheSmartGuy: Doppel; being required to know how she needs to look and act to deceive enemies puts her in this role.
** TheBigGirl: Shared between Manako and Tionishia. Manako has shown the ability to quickly disable a large number of enemies, while Tionishia is noted to be the strongest of the group and utilizes that strength to bypass things like walls.
** TheChick: Shared between Manako and Tionishia. Manako feels that she's not really considered part of the group for being required to stay at a distance and her specialty requires the element of surprise so she can't repeatedly assist the group on the same mission. Tionishia, despite her strength, is more used simply to guard and escort hostages and can be seen trying to keep the group from fighting amongst themselves and attempting to boost morale, especially Manako's.
* FunWithAcronyms:
** "MON" apparently stands for "[[GratuitousEnglish Monsters of a Neuro]]".
** The official English version has it stand for "Monster Ops: Neutralization".
** The anime changes it so instead of being an acronym, it's short for "'''MON'''ster's New Law"
* ObviousRulePatch: They more-or-less owe their existence as a law enforcement body to the shoddy and loophole-ridden state of extraspecies law making the arrest of extraspecies criminals by human cops very tricky legal ground.
* PrettyFreeloaders: In Volume 3's extra, Kimihito and Meroune point out that they spend a lot of time at his house. And in Mero's pool specifically.
* RagtagBunchOfMisfits: They have varying degrees of professionalism and wildly different personalities, but they're pretty competent at their jobs.
* SingleWomanSeeksGoodMan: Strongly hinted at in the end of Chapter 22. Zombina, Tionishia, and Manako all admit to having enjoyed their time with Kimihito, and immediately switch the conversation to looking into doing the homestay thing as well when their boss is notorious for just dumping more and more girls into Kimihito's home.

A living dead and commander of the squad.
* AlienBlood: Her blood is a special anti-decomposition fluid made from a formaldehyde base and is circulated by an artificial heart. The fluid is hazardous to the living.
* BloodKnight: She's shown to be enjoying herself during the hostage situation in chapter 11, and at the end of chapter 15's hostage situation her only concern was that she didn't even get to shoot someone.
* BoyishShortHair: She has short hair and she's TheLadette.
* ButtMonkey: In chapter 20, she spends most of the time getting stomped on by giant monsters, culminating with her buried in a crater. It's okay though, since she's already dead.
* CantActPervertedTowardALoveInterest: The first sign she's beginning to develop serious feelings for Kimihito is that she suddenly feels very embarrassed at the idea of him seeing her nude, even though she had him sew her detached breast back on as a prank when they first met.
* DeadToBeginWith: Obviously.
* DeliberateInjuryGambit: She used being gunned down and left for dead to her advantage to later surprise the orcs with the fact that she was not ''really'' dead (well, permanently) and also very much armed.
* {{Fangirl}}: Enjoys zombie films, and after seeing one on her "date," begins enthusiastically discussing the various tropes and trends of the genre.
* FeelNoPain: She explicitly states it while hanging out with Kimihito. Whether she can feel... [[PowerPerversionPotential other things]] is more ambiguous. Considering the fact that [[spoiler: [[SayItWithHearts she moaned]] when Kimihito inadvertently pinched her nipple and her embarrassment that she did so]], the evidence suggesting that she can feel pleasure, at least, is rather solid.
* FieryRedhead: The anime and official merchandise give Zombina bright red hair to fit her personality.
* FriendlyEnemy: With Cici. Since they're similar races, Zombina has to deal with the trouble Cici causes, and they've ended up forming a bond over time.
* GoodThingYouCanHeal: Well... Not die from gruesome injuries anyway. [[DontExplainTheJoke She actually can't heal naturally anyway]].
* GunKata: She's been seen to strike rather elaborate poses while shooting, arguably not for the reduced target area this would usually be for and simply because it's [[RuleOfCool cool]] as her primary concern over getting shot is what it'll do for her weight.
* GunsAkimbo: Fond of wielding a gun in each hand, whether they be submachine guns or ''assault rifles''.
** ATeamFiring: Actually ''hitting'' stuff with them, on the other hand...
* GunTwirling: Does this to adjust her guns to have them aiming back at herself to shoot the orc holding her.
* {{Hammerspace}}: When she first shows up, there are no weapons visible on her. When she gets back up, she suddenly has a [[GunsAkimbo pair of guns]].
* HotBlooded: Zombina has no problems with shooting herself to shoot others and insists that it would be badass if Manako [[AwesomeButImpractical sawed off the end of her gun and got a second one to go with it]].
** Her suggestion to Manako goes even further into AwesomeButImpractical territory in the official English version, suggesting the use of [[SawedOffShotgun sawed off shotguns]] rather than simply modifying the sniper rifle itself.
* HypocriticalHumor: Somewhat dislikes movies with fast, active zombies... despite being one herself. Though, FridgeLogic kicks in, as many people in RealLife don't enjoy watching movies for entertainment with characters that are too much like them.
* ImmortalLifeIsCheap: Good thing she won't die even if she's killed.
* ImmuneToBullets: Her only concern over being shot is what it'll do for her weight.
* TheLadette: Loves action, violent movies, munching meat, and hot-blooded shouting.
* LuminescentBlush: After being told by Kimihito that he doesn't think of her as a corpse but an actual person she begins to blush, and continues to do so while he sews her boob back on. The impossibility of this is {{Lampshaded}} by her thinking that her heart might start beating again.
** Later it makes sense with the information that she has an artificial heart and blood.
* MadeOfIron: See DeliberateInjuryGambit, ImmortalLifeIsCheap, and ImmuneToBullets. Zombina getting horribly injured has pretty much become a RunningGag.
* MarkOfTheSupernatural: Her eyes are yellow (right) and green (left). [[MixAndMatchMan Her left eye was replaced with a transplant after losing the original.]]
* MixAndMatchMan: While she refers to herself specifically as a zombie, her appearance gives off the impression of being put together from parts from multiple corpses. Her heart and blood are artificial, and her left eye is a transplant.
** It's explained on a [[AllThereInTheManual side page]] that because she's dead, her skin won't repair itself when she's injured. So when her skin is broken or pierced, she puts a skin graft over the wound. This is what leads to her patchwork appearance.
* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: When she finds out [[spoiler: her tooth was used to zombify Yuuhi]], she's absolutely mortified, even though she doesn't even remember doing it [[spoiler: and it was Lala who did the deed via a pair of pliers.]]
* NighInvulnerability: Par for the course, considering she's an undead. She can shake off bullets with ease as stated above, and getting crushed by two kaiju didn't seem to have done any lasting damage.
* NinjaPirateZombieRobot: Ninja Zombie SWAT-Policewoman anyway.
* OurZombiesAreDifferent: Her kind are specifically stated to be [[PlagueZombie Plague Zombies]] created from an infectious disease, although she doesn't appear interested in spreading it, and is horrified when she thinks she did by accident. She also has an artificial heart and blood to prevent her body from decaying. It's also revealed that there are other subspecies of zombies that don't fall under this description, such as mummies or [[ChineseVampire jiang shi]].
* ShootTheHostage: Zombina, being undead, is not adverse to shooting through her own body to surprise kidnappers.
* SlasherSmile: A little TOO into hurting people.
* SlidingScaleOfUndeadRegeneration: Type II. She can't heal normally, but she doesn't rot either.
* StealthPun: As stated below, she's a YaoiFangirl, which in Japanese can be rendered with the word "fujoshi". The literal meaning of "fujoshi" is "rotten girl", so we have a zombie girl that is ''metaphorically'' rotten inside and "literally" rotten outside.
* TheTease: During her "date," when she [[PowerPerversionPotential undoes the stitches on one of her boobs]] to see how Kimihito will react.
* TemptingFate: In Chapter 20, she joked about how being around a toxic waste dump would make someone grow until they were a giant. [[spoiler: This is exactly what happens to Kii and Suu.]]
** In an extra at the end of Volume 3, she calls Doppel out on her attempts to tan, after having her own called out, since there's no way Doppel would get any darker. The next panel has Doppel changing herself to be pitch black.
* ThisIsGonnaSuck: She manages a deadpan "Uh..." as a giant-sized Suu and Kii topple directly at her.
* {{Tomboy}}: BoyishShortHair, TheSquadette, [[TheLadette not a bit girly]], HotBlooded. Check, check, check.
* YaoiFangirl: According to her profile she bounces around between fandoms, recently switching from ''Manga/KurokoNoBasuke'' to ''Manga/AttackOnTitan'', and ships everything from Levi x Eren to Bertholt x Eren.

-> Voiced by: Creator/SaoriOnishi

A doppelgänger who serves as the infiltrator of the squad, due to her shapeshifting abilities.
* ArentYouGoingToRavishMe: After her date with Kimihito, [[spoiler:she offers to let him do whatever he wants to her in the form of whatever woman he desires. Instead, he asks her to wear clothes.]]
* BlackEyesOfCrazy: {{Averted}}, as she's not crazy, but she does have black sclerae in her default form.
* BodyDouble: Served as one for Ms. Smith at least on one occasion.
* DarkSkinnedBlond: In her ShapeshifterDefaultForm she has dark skin and white hair, as shown in her full-color pictures and the anime.
* {{Doppelganger}}: She presents herself as one for the convenience of others, as whatever she actually is is beyond comprehension and a Doppelganger is simply the closest thing we can imagine.
* TheGadfly: Enjoys playing around with people's feelings for fun and profit. [[spoiler: Case in point, she was behind the first "D" letter.]]
* GodivaHair: Always manages to conveniently cover her more sensitive parts. It's stated that no matter what angle you try to look from her hair will always appear to be covering it.
* HumanoidAbomination: Her true appearance, real name, and even native language, are all beyond human comprehension. Her "faceless" self is described as having hair-like tentacles and jet black skin, an appearance she uses to freak people out. Her profile hints that she is in fact a genuine EldritchAbomination, mentioning she has an air of [[Franchise/CthulhuMythos Crawling Chaos]] around her. Chapter 39's full-color intro implies that she can't control her appearance all the time, showing creepy red eyes and rows of teeth among her strands of hair while she's half-asleep. Chapter 40 has her turn into a vaguely-seen, indescribable ''something'' only seen in silhouette, and her true nature is further teased by her choice of reading material: a ''Cthulhu Mythos'' compilation.
* IncrediblyObviousTail: [[spoiler: Despite [[RefugeInAudacity using a disguise that screams this all throughout Chapter 22]], she avoids detection from everyone except Manako by simply doing things that fit in with the background events. She finally blows her cover by fitting into this trope both in appearance and action.]]
* KickChick: She escapes from the orc holding her by kicking straight up until her foot reaches his face behind her.
* MasterActor: She's quite skilled at acting like other people; this makes her quite skilled at [[ManipulativeBitch manipulation]] as well.
* MysticalWhiteHair: A "doppelgänger" with white hair.
* NakedPeopleAreFunny: Doppel is actually always naked; the clothes of her disguises come from her hair. [[spoiler:The only time she wears clothes is at Kimihito's request, and she finds it extremely embarrassing.]]
* NiceJobBreakingItHero:
** [[spoiler:Not only did her writing the original D letter backfire spectacularly by allowing Kimihito to get ''even closer'' to '''all''' the girls, but it also seemed to have sparked an interest in him among her coworkers, and worst of all it ensured that when a ''real'' threatening letter came in MON didn't realize it was from a different source until it was too late.]]
** Her attempt to spark a friendship between Miia and Draco backfired when Liz - who Draco had been flirting with immediately prior - showed up.
* OddlyVisibleEyebrows: Perhaps one of the few examples with an explanation. As stated above, her hair will always appear conveniently placed. This includes being "behind" her ''eyes'' so as to not obscure them.
* OhCrap: When the orc leader catches up to her due to Lilith's form having short legs, Doppel is noticeably afraid. She later tells Kimihito that she's not much stronger than an ordinary human.
* OnlyKnownByTheirNickname: "Doppel" is not her real name. She uses that name because her real name cannot be pronounced or understood by humans.
* ThePrankster: [[spoiler:Wrote the original threatening note to try to push Kimihito out of maintaining a BalancedHarem.]] Chapter 40 reveals her general tendency to be helpful with her pranks, such as putting a stop to Lilith's mischief and helping Draco realize she should apologize to Miia for their disastrous first encounter. She further reveals that she loves working for MON because it allows her to prank without worrying about getting in trouble, as nobody cares if she messes with someone who is causing problems for others.
* PrehensileHair: She wraps herself with it to form her disguises, and as a convenient SceneryCensor. She only occasionally uses it to grab things, and in the end credits of the show, she uses it as a form of ''locomotion''.
* RapunzelHair: Her hair is about as long as she is, and then some. As stated in the PrehensileHair entry above, she doesn't even need to walk, her hair carries her!
* ShamelessFanserviceGirl: She always goes around naked in her humanoid ShapeshifterDefaultForm, but she doesn't bother getting embarrassed because that's not her real form anyway. [[spoiler:When the very end of Ch. 40 shows that she complied with Kimihito's request to put on some clothes, she doesn't seem too happy with it. In fact, she actually gets ''embarrassed'' that she has to wear clothes, to the point where she covers herself with her own hair.]]
* ShapeshifterDefaultForm: While it's not her true form, her preferred form is a young girl with long white "tentacle-hair", jet-black skin, and SupernaturalGoldEyes with black sclera.
* TechnicallyNakedShapeshifter: She is technically always naked; the clothes of her disguises come from her hair.
* TotallyNotAWerewolf: It's mentioned in her profile that despite her abilities and nickname she's not a doppelgänger.
* TransformationHorror: When confronting the orc leader in chapter 40, [[spoiler:Doppel extrudes tentacles and insectoid limbs before splitting her head and body open into an enormous mouth lined with fangs and {{phlegmings}}, only shown in silhouette]]. The orc is reduced to a drooling wreck constantly mumbling ''[[MadnessMantra "Scary little girl scary little girl scary little girl..."]]''.
* TheUnpronounceable: It's said her real name cannot be pronounced or understood by humans.
* VoluntaryShapeshifting: Though clothes seem to be optional. She mostly uses it to sneak into sensitive places.
* WeakButSkilled: She admits her actual physical strength isn't much better than an average person's, and she has to rely mostly on her transformation abilities alone, though they more than make up for it.
* WellIntentionedExtremist: She really enjoys playing pranks, but they typically have an intended ultimately positive outcome, such as punishing Lilith for continuing her mischievous behavior, or helping Draco apologize to and make up with Miia. [[spoiler:Or trying to help Kimihito break out of maintaining his harem.]]

-> Voiced by: Creator/MomoAsakura

A monoeye who serves as the sniper of the squad, due to her keen vision.
* ACupAngst: She is especially conscious of her flat chest. In Chapter 29, when Manako hears that Centorea's breasts are so big that they snap a 103 centimeter bra, [[ColorFailure she does not take it well.]]
* AllOfTheOtherReindeer: She assumes this is why she was told to snipe from 2km away.
* {{BFG}}: Her huge sniper rifle.
* BriefcaseBlaster: Of the shaped like a briefcase variety. She carries it around with her on her date with Kimihito.
* CryCute: Prone to these. This is mentioned as something of a racial trait to keep their eyes from drying out, but even among other Cyclops she's considered a crybaby.
* {{Cyclops}}: She has a single eye, but she's a Monoeye instead of a Cyclops. Cyclops are a sub-species of her race.
* FreakinessShame: She believes the world hates her for having just one eye, and notes that most people feel a little uncomfortable meeting her gaze.
--> '''Manako''': A little kid ran away from me again... This world truly does hate cyclops...
* FriendlySniper: And really insecure about herself to boot.
* HyperAwareness: She's incredibly observant about the people and things around her, such as noticing slight changes in a person's gaze or being able to snipe despite having limited depth perception. [[spoiler: She also spots "D" stalking the MON dates, likely even before the reader; Checking a clothes rack while Kimihito speaks with Zombina on Tionishia's date, checking some books to the left of the drink bar on Zombina's date, and finally twice during her own date buying a hot dog and hiding behind a vending machine while watching them.]]
* ImprobableAimingSkills: 2km away and she [[BlastingItOutOfTheirHands snipes every gun the orcs are carrying]] without missing, hitting them, or their hostage. Without a scope. Applying a silencer to her gun, however, is noted by her to somehow make it extremely difficult to aim.
* LogicalWeakness: Due to only having one eye, she has poor depth perception when it comes to close range objects and is likely to bump into things.
* MusclesAreMeaningless: She's actually pretty lanky.
* PunnyName: Manako sounds very similar to the word "monocle", an eye-wear meant for a single eye. It is also a Japanese word for "eye."
* RunningGag: Several chapters that she's shown up in, she's made comments about her eye hurting or being dry while tearing up. Her insecurity over how people might treat her over her eye comes up often as well.
* ShrinkingViolet: The shyest and most insecure girl of the series, not just MON.
* SuperSpeed: Only once as a form of OffscreenTeleportation. She manages to cover the 2km distance on foot in just a matter of minutes and implies it would've been less but her enormous gun slowed her down.
* TokenWholesome: Fanservice wise, she is easily the most wholesome girl in the entire manga, Lala included. She has had very few (if any) fanservice moments.
* WhenSheSmiles: It took her about 30 chapters, and her face was partly covered, but [[http://i.imgur.com/GHPKdbD.jpg it happened]].
* YouGottaHaveBlueHair: She has dark purple hair, making her look kinda like an anime-fied [[WesternAnimation/{{Futurama}} Turanga Leela]].

-> Voiced by: Creator/YurikaKubo

An ogre who serves as hostage escort/guard of the squad, due to her immense size and power.
* BigEater: Literally. Her massive size probably has something to do with her appetite. She's been known to eat entire cakes, as well as ice cream by the liter.
* BoobsOfSteel: The physically strongest member of MON as well as the bustiest.
* CuteBruiser: Despite having enough raw strength to throw a vending machine with little visible exertion, she gives Manako a run for her money for the most conventionally feminine member of MON.
* DarkSkinnedBlond: Usually how she's drawn, backed up by her full-color pictures and the anime.
* {{Expy}}: Has a uncanny resemblance to [[VideoGame/{{Touhou}} Yuugi Hoshiguma]].
* TheFashionista: The majority of the money she makes is stated to go into buying clothing and accessories, in part due to needing everything custom made. Manako's profile states that the entire group has high standards for fashion, but notes Tionishia as having the highest standards.
* GagBoobs: So massive they make Centoria's look normal by comparison. Her profile lists her as being a P Cup, and that that's large even among Ogres. Her bras are custom made and reinforced, described as a "marvel of modern engineering".
* GenkiGirl: Drags Kimihito from shop to shop all over town on their "date."
* GentleGiant: Despite her [[TheBigGuy impressive size and strength]], she is primarily the group's guard and escort, and typically uses her strength merely for [[ThereWasADoor forcible entry]]. [[TheHeart She also tries]] to insist that the group not fight amongst themselves and shows support for even the slightest of accomplishments.
* GirlyBruiser: She's larger than life with strength to match, but she's still TheHeart of the team, has rather feminine mannerisms, and a penchant for cute things judging by how she tried to [[ImTakingHerHomeWithMe take a dolphin from the aquarium]]. And if her "date" is any indication, she loves shopping for really girly stuff.
* HairOfGoldHeartOfGold: She has blonde hair and a cheerful and feminine personality.
* HeartIsAnAwesomePower: Her warm presence is so monopolizing that Kimihito, who is no stranger to powerful monster-girls, couldn't escape it and regards it as dangerous.
* HeightAngst: She's very sensitive about her great size.
* HornedHumanoid: Like most oni.
* ImTakingHerHomeWithMe: She finds the dolphins at the aquarium so adorable she grabs one and tries to take it with her.
* InappropriateHunger: They're in the middle of dealing with a hostage situation and she feels the need to, and actually does, start eating some chips.
** In chapter 15, after yet another hostage situation has been resolved, she is seen eating from a bag of chips.
* IncrediblyObviousTail: While trying to spy on one of the "bait dates."
* InnocentFanserviceGirl: Shows shades of this during her date(s) with Kimihito.
* LapPillow: Does this to Kimihito and later does it to [[spoiler: Kii and Polt at the same time]].
* LethalKlutz: Supplementary material show this. While she appears in only two of the about 70 web-based shorts, she still manages to bust open part of a wall in Kimihito's house and then smash a coffee table... while apologizing for the wall no less!
* MarshmallowHell: Gives Kimihito this treatment in Chapter 22, and again in Chapter 41.
* MusclesAreMeaningless: She has a rather slender figure underneath the armor. Doesn't stop her from throwing a vending machine with her bare hands.
* OurOgresAreHungrier: While she looks like the oni from Japan, she's actually an ogre, with the oni being a subspecies of ogre.
* RapunzelHair: Her hair extends all the way down to her waist.
* RunningGag: Her habit of picking up and throwing vending machines.
* ShoppingMontage: On her "date."
* StatuesqueStunner: She's noted to be at least 7 feet tall, and in comparison to Kimihito is a [[UpToEleven couple]] [[OneHeadTaller heads taller]]. Even among most monster girls she's apparently large, as the clothes at a store specifically stocked for extreme sizes were still too small for her.
* ThereWasADoor: Justified. Going into a hostage situation straight through a door would not be the wisest of ideas. She has tall barriers/shields that brace the roof, too, so that [[RealityEnsues it doesn't collapse on top of her]].

-> Voiced by: Creator/TeruyukiTanzawa (leader)

A group of orcs who entered Japan illegally, taking a comic shop hostage to make ridiculous demands. They are handedly defeated by MON, making their first introduction in the series.
* AllMenArePerverts: All of the orcs shown are men, and their demands are the printing of orc-centric pornography. Later on another orc not a part of the initial group is shown arguing with a human over the superiority of orc-centric pornography over tentacle monster-centric pornography.
* AttemptedRape: The orcs intended to rape one of their hostages in front of the police. Sadly for them, the "hostage" turned out to be Doppel. [[spoiler:In chapter 40 the leader makes a return and assaults Draco, but is stopped again by Doppel using what is implied to be her [[EldritchAbomination true form]].]]
* FunWithAcronyms: In the official English release, they call themselves the "Pioneer Orc Renaissance Kinsmen" or [[PigMan PORK]] for short.
* GoMadFromTheRevelation: The Orc Leader fails his sanity check after being confronted by Doppel [[spoiler:and is left all-but comatose by the sight of her monstrous transformation]].
* KnightOfCerebus: The threat is resolved within a chapter, though they are gun toting terrorists responsible for an OutOfGenreExperience.
* {{Lolicon}}: The leader of the orc pack openly admits to preferring young girls when assaulting Draco, and is such a pervert that he abandons Draco to chase after the child-sized Lilith and makes it clear he intends to rape her. [[spoiler:Lilith turns out to be Doppel in disguise, and she proceeds to ScareEmStraight.]]
* LoopholeAbuse: Using the cultural exchange laws, the orcs can perform their terrorist actions without fear of being attacked by the human police force. Eventually defied by Ms. Smith - when the orc leader tells her to accompany him in the deportation that would be his maximum ''legal'' punishment, she has Doppel provide her an alibi while she takes out her frustration on him.
* MadnessMantra: When the orc leader sees Doppel's transformation, all he says afterwards is "little girls scary".
* TheNoseKnows: Orcs have an incredible sense of smell, they can smell anything within a kilometer radius.
* NotSoHarmlessVillain: The orcs are idiots, yes, however their leader ''does'' mercilessly gun down a special forces agent who tried to sneak in, and attempted to rape a hostage in front of the police force.
* OhCrap: The orc leader, when Ms. Smith gets ready to ''really'' punish him. [[spoiler:He has another moment when Doppel transforms into an eldritch horror, destroying his sanity.]]
* OurOrcsAreDifferent: They straddle the line between Tolkien and Blizzard orcs. They have human level intelligence and a high level of cunning, capable of using fire arms. Though they violently take hostages and are mostly concerned with their own lusts.
* PigMan: The orcs look like this.

-> Voiced by: Creator/ShiinaNatsukawa

A kobold who runs a fitness center for extraspecies, and the first non-government monster girl to NOT be added to the harem.
* BizarreAlienBiology: She has four more pairs of nipples on her abdomen, beneath her fur, much like an actual dog. Her profile notes that some kobold subspecies even develop [[{{Multiboobage}} a second pair of full breasts]].
* CoolAndUnusualPunishment: It's revealed that one of her side jobs is disciplining extraspecies who break the rules (like running off without their host family). Her choice of punishment is to force them to walk an entire marathon![[note]]42 kilometers![[/note]]
* CuteLittleFangs: Comes with being a kobold.
* DemotedToExtra: The anime adaptation skips her introductory chapter entirely and cuts out her contribution to Kurusu's food worries, instead giving her brief, unvoiced cameos during episodes 10 and 11.
* GenkiGirl: Polt seems to have near-infinite reserves of energy.
* LargeHam: She likes to shout. ''A lot.''
* LargeHamAnnouncer: During the race.
* LivingLieDetector: A side effect of her potent sense of smell, she can pick up pheromones when someone is stressed or exhausted. And as Draco and Lilith found out, she can tell when they're just ''acting'' tired to try to get out of walking a marathon.
* MaleGaze: One panel in Chapter 17 seems veeeery focused on her tail, and the hole her swimsuit has for it. [[FunnyBackgroundEvent And Mero's inability to stretch.]]
* NoIndoorVoice: It's rare to hear her ''not'' yelling at the top of her lungs.
* NonIdleRich: She (and kobolds in general) are financially well off due to her species' association with mining cobalt. She owns and manages both the Sports Club Kobold and Kobold Stadium, as well as a number of spas, massage parlors, and relaxation centers.
* PerpetualSmiler: The only time she isn't smiling is when she's surprised.
* PettingZooPeople: Though she initially appears to just be a LittleBitBeastly, her character profile reveals that she's actually completely covered in fur, head to toe. It just grows thicker on her head, wrists and ankles.
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: She is genuinely concerned with how the fitness center will be received and when issues are brought up, such as Mero not handling the chlorinated water in the pool well or the temperature being too cold for Miia, she says she will make sure they will be fixed when the place opens to the public.
* SkinshipGrope: Does this to Kii in an effort to "extract water from plants" after Kii drank all the water that Polt had prepared for herself, Draco, and Lilith.
* SpellMyNameWithAnS: Volume 4 of the English release originally had her name as "Port".
* TokenWholesome: She's up there with Lala and Manako on this. Outside of the MaleGaze entry described above (and an image of her naked and covering her breasts in an omake), she's one of the very few female characters that hasn't had any fanservice moments. When Kii tries bondage on her in chapter 41 it is less graphic than with other girls and Polt mistakes it for a new type of sports training. Even when shown naked in the same chapter, it's from a distance where nothing is seen and is mostly a background detail.

-> Voiced by: Creator/AiriOotsu

A dragonewt with a creepy crush on Miia.
* ACupAngst: Her profile reveals that most dragonewts have large breasts, something Draco is clearly lacking. She's shown with an embarrassed look on her face as she tries to claim that she's not small, everyone else is too big.
* AdaptationalBadass: [[DownplayedTrope Kind of]]. Unlike in the Manga, she does have the ability to fly in the anime...for all the good it does her: Mon shoots her escape attempt down with ease judging by the holes in her wings, and one blast of Suu's poisoned spray ends their fight before it even starts.
* AwesomeButImpractical: As stated below, Draco's got a bad case of this. She's got scales that can block bullets! But her clothing usually catches on them, and she doesn't run into gun-wielding maniacs too often. She's got an extremely muscular tail! But she can't sleep on her back and she needs specialized clothing. She's got wings! But they're not strong enough for her to do more than glide, she has to deal with a lot of air resistance when trying to run and again, they get in the way.
* {{Bifauxnen}}: To the point that everyone thinks Draco is a man at first. Downplayed after the truth comes out: [[ArtEvolution her appearance in Chapter 25 is far more clearly feminine.]]
* BlondesAreEvil: The anime colors show she's blonde.
* ButchLesbian: She's quite obsessed with Miia and she's so masculine that everyone mistook her for a man. In chapter 40, she also tries to hit on the lizardwoman Liz, only to be promptly shut down.
* ButtMonkey:
** Her profile following Chapter 25 is pretty blunt about it. Her wings and chest muscles aren't actually strong enough to let her fly, her armored scales are [[AwesomeButImpractical actually rather useless in everyday life]] and interfere with her ability to put on clothes, and [[ArsonMurderAndJaywalking her tail detaches if pulled]]. ([[ItMakesSenseInContext Apparently that's somewhat shameful and associated with "lower" reptiles.]])
** Chapter 40 shows that she's approaching [[WesternAnimation/FamilyGuy Meg Griffin]] levels: in this chapter alone she is about to get molested by an orc, is reprimanded by Liz ([[TheDitz of all people]]), and almost gets to make peace with Miia until, because of a misunderstanding, is again rejected and chased away. Makes one almost feel sorry for her.
* DoesNotLikeMen: She outright states she hates men.
* DraconicHumanoid: Draco has dragon wings and a tail.
* FantasticArousal: As Suu discovers, the tip of her tail is sensitive just like Miia's.
* FantasticRacism: Initially appears to have a case of this, though it's eventually revealed she doesn't like ''men'' rather than humans in general. In fact, in one omake she's shown requesting to have a cute girl as her host, suggesting she has no problems with humans, provided they're female.
* {{Foreshadowing}}:
** Well before TheReveal, Draco orders Miia to stop talking about ''men'', not humans, foreshadowing her PsychoLesbian status.
** There's also one on the chapter's cover page which reveals Draco's species' name and family's coat of arms.
* IJustWantToHaveFriends: Although she has a [[NightmareFace pretty]] [[AttemptedRape strange]] [[IHaveYouNowMyPretty way of]] [[PsychoLesbian showing it.]] She seems to be getting better however, as she's trying to just normally visit Miia at the house by Chapter 34. Unfortunately, no one was home at the time. She seems to horn in on any reptilian extraspecies in general: she starts hitting on Liz as soon as she learns that she's a lizardman.
* KnightOfCerebus: Remember how Rachnera could have been the manga's first villain? Well, she missed out on that, and Draco got the title instead. She was very close to forcing herself on Miia, and would have had her way if not for Kimihito and Mero being BigDamnHeroes.
* NoSocialSkills: When Draco actually tries to be civil, it's apparent that her social skills are very lacking. She has a hard time apologizing not because she doesn't want to, but because she doesn't know ''how'' to apologize.
* OurDragonsAreDifferent: This dragon is a WingedHumanoid with draconic wings and a tail.
* PurpleEyes: In the anime at least.
* PsychoLesbian: She tries to force herself onto Miia. A bonus omake with her and the other side girls indicates she actually doesn't like being called a lesbian, though the official English Translation clarifies that she was actually indignant about Lilith's foul mouth, and suggestion she suck on Kii's breasts ''in public''.
* RedHerring: While the initial assumption was probably the same as Miia's, Draco is NOT the one who sent Kimihito the death threat. She doesn't know anything about it and even if she did she is '''only''' interested in Miia.
* SlasherSmile: She's probably [[http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/screen_shot_2013-09-30_at_8_06_17_pm_220.png sporting the scariest one thus far in the series]]. And that's ''including'' Rachnera's NightmareFace.
* SmugSnake: Draco certainly believes in draconic superiority. [[spoiler: Though it turns out that being a dragonewt is nowhere ''near'' as great as it sounds. See AwesomeButImpractical and ButtMonkey above.]]
* SpellMyNameWithAnS: The scanlations use Draco, the official English release uses Drago.
* StalkerWithACrush: Draco is introduced stalking Miia from the shadows.
* TakeThat: Draco is less than pleased when Miia can't stop being infatuated over Darling despite the fact that Miia felt left out at the aquarium.
-->'''Draco''': What's so great about that human anyway...? [[LampshadeHanging He's acting like the idiot main character in some harem-style light novel!]]
* TomboyishName: "Draco" is typically masculine. Then again, [[{{Bifauxnen}} so is this Draco.]]
* VillainDecay: In her first appearance she almost has her way with Miia and would have succeded if not for Kimihito and Mero. In her next appearance she appears out of nowhere and attempts to attack Kimihito...and is promptly molested by Suu and dealt with. And then in a bonus omake she's being forced to walk an ''entire marathon'' (42 kilometers!) by Polt as punishment for going out without her host family. When she's shown up after that, she hasn't even been trying to do anything villainous.
* WhyDidItHaveToBeSnakes: She's creeped out by fish, of all things, as seen in Chapter 25.
* WingedHumanoid: Draco's wings are the bat-like ones usually seen on dragons.
* WingsDoNothing: Her wings are only capable of gliding at best, and their shape and size cause wind resistance that slows down her running. The anime shows she can lift off the ground and glide, but she still can't actually fly.
* YourSizeMayVary: Her wings can vary in size sometimes, most notably in her debut where they look like they're big enough to enable flight.

A dryad whom Papi befriended before she met Kimihito. However, illegally dumped chemicals have transformed her into a rampaging monster, who Papi (and by extension, Kimihito) have to stop.
* AdaptationalModesty: The anime adaptation gives her bark covering for her crotch.
* AlienHair: Her hair is made of leaves.
* AttackOfThe50FootWhatever: Turns into a giant, mobile tree and attacks the first people she encounters.
* BondageIsBad: Ties Papi up tortoise-shell style with vines and tightens them until she orgasms.
* CombatTentacles: Uses vines to grab onto people and wrap them up BSDM style.
* CoolChair: She has a throne made of roots that can move by itself.
* ForgottenFriendNewFoe: Comes across as such at first due to having been driven crazy by the chemicals she was exposed to, and [[TheDitz Papi]] having completely forgotten about her.
* FreudianExcuse: Her hatred of humans stems from her kidnapping by extraspecies traffickers and being left behind by Ms. Smith when the traffickers were apprehended.
* GodivaHair: Her vine-like hair covers her nipples in some scenes, but not all of them.
* HumansAreTheRealMonsters: Dislikes humans in general, though she admits that Kimihito has good technique.
* IdiotHair: A big, leafy one.
* ImmodestOrgasm: When Papi and Kimihito suck the fertilizer out through her breasts, she has one.
* OneWingedAngel: After absorbing experimental fertilizer for several months, she transforms into a massive plant monster.
* PlantPerson: She's a dryad, who looks mostly human with plant features such as leaves and vines for hair and bark covering her arms and legs.
* PlotRelevantAgeUp: Originally looks like a child, but after absorbing experimental fertilizer, she gains a body of a [[BreastExpansion busty]] adult (which happens to be inside a giant tree monster body). She gains this form naturally when she's met again in Chapter 25, and supplimentary materials have since revealed that her apparent age is heavily tied to her nutritional intake: she looks older when she's healthier and younger when she's starving.
* PsychoSerum: Absorbed experimental fertilizer, which had a [[AxCrazy number]] [[BreastExpansion of]] [[OneWingedAngel effects]] on her.
* PunnyName: Ki is the Japanese word for tree/wood. Granted, it's probably not her real name, since Papi made it up for her.
* SexierAlterEgo: Like Suu, Kii can assume a more... [[GagBoobs adult-looking]] form when well-fed.
* ShoutOut: Her OneWingedAngel appears to be one to the forest god from ''Hellboy II: The Golden Army''.
* SuperHumanTrafficking: Was the victim of this, which is the reason she dislikes humans.
* {{Stripperiffic}}: Doesn't wear any clothes, aside from some bark-like covering on her neck and chest... which leaves her breasts exposed.
* {{Yandere}}: Comes across as such for Papi, though it's not her fault.

A mischievous devil who decides to cause some trouble to Kimihito and Centorea's date for her own amusement.
* AmbiguouslyBrown: In the anime.
* AttemptedRape: When her hypnotism fails to cause Kimihito to assasult her, Lilith tries to force herself on him. Fortunately, she is stopped by Doppel.
* BlackEyesOfCrazy: Like Doppel she has black sclera, but she seems more mischievous than malicious or insane.
* {{Blackmail}}: Her scheme in Chapter 40 is to hypnotize Kimihito to trick Rachnera into thinking that "Honey" got infatuated with her, thus making her leave Kimihito's house and try to get together with her when she goes all alone in the world. Kimihito and Doppel quickly put a stop to that.
* BreakingSpeech: Tries this on Rachnera by pointing out how she is insecure and fearful about humans accepting her and hides in the shadows to avoid being seen. See below for the response.
* BullyingADragon: She spent most of the chapter she first appeared in being a {{Troll}} to Centorea and Manako by playing on their insecurities. She then tries the same with Rachnera... and that's the last we see of here before Rachnera reduces her to a sub.
* CasualKink: ''[[ImmodestOrgasm Really]]'' enjoys bondage and refers to Rachnera as "Mistress".
* DoesNotLikeMen: She believes that [[AllMenArePerverts all men are lolicons]].
* EvilLaugh: Written in English as "Ki hi hi!"
* FilleFatale: In Chapter 40 she tries to seduce Kimihito in order to get dirty pictures to show to Rachnee, enabling her to get her "Mistress" all to herself.
* HornedHumanoid: Comes with being a demon.
* HypnoticEyes: Causes Centorea to develop these.
* InTheHood: Wears a hoodie to hide her horns. The bagginess of the hoodie also helps to hide her tail and wings, with a pair of zippers in the back to let the wings out if she needs them.
* ItAmusedMe: Her modus operandi.
* KarmaHoudini: Chapter 40 shows that she hasn't changed her ways, and again she gets saved from serious troubles only to disappear and get away scot-free from what she'd done. The only time she was properly punished, she turned out to be TooKinkyToTorture.
* KickTheDog: She could have hypnotized Manako to be rid of her, instead she simply exploits her insecurity about her eye by pretending to be a child traumatized by the eye.
* MindManipulation: She can hypnotize people, and tries to get Centorea to rape Kimihito as a prank.
* OlderThanSheLooks: Like Papi she is an adult but [[{{Pettanko}} has the body of a small child]]. Her profile notes that she enjoys abusing this in petty ways to get into movie theaters and buses while paying only child prices. This backfires on her ''big time'' when she tries picking a fight with Rachnera, who notes that she's an adult in a childlike body and therefore can be "punished" as an adult.
** The anime end-card for Episode 12 reveals that this is because she belongs to the ''Lesser'' Devil subspecies, who are noted to look like children.
* OurDemonsAreDifferent: She's a devil, but the only supernatural powers she seems to possess are hypnotism.
* OutsideContextVillain: Unlike the other one-off villains so far, Lilith has no real motive beyond causing mischief for her own amusement, though she does ''gain'' a motive later on in trying to get back with Rachnera.
* ThePrankster: Continuously pranks Centorea and Kimihito throughout Chapter 21, undergoing SerialEscalation until she brainwashes Centorea into trying to rape Kimihito. It bites her in the ass when she presses Rachnera's BerserkButton.
* PsychoLesbian: She greatly enjoys being tied up and "tortured" by Rachnera to the point where she was begging to be "rewarded". In Chapter 34, she's seen deliberately looking for Rachnera and is upset that they haven't met up again since their last "encounter".
* SexyCoatFlashing: She's wearing a coat, underwear, and not much else.
* TooKinkyToTorture: Judging by the last page in chapter 21 she ''really'' enjoys bondage (although played with in that said bondage turned her into Rachnera's quivering sub).
* TheUnfought:
** Played with. Centorea misunderstands the nature of her "hypnosis," and Kimihito never even learns she existed, but Rachnera catches her and settles her good.
** In Chapter 40 she and Kimihito finally get face-to-face (and face to... other body parts). He's immune to [[{{Lolicon}} her suggestive poses]], and when she tries hypnotizing him, he ends up acting exactly the same way he already was.
* VillainDecay: Happens to her even faster than it did Draco. Between Rachnera turning her into a quivering sub and Polt punishing her for going out without her host family, whatever threat she once posed is long gone.
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse:
** She's apparently been forgotten about/disappeared after Chapter 21 as she wasn't seen inside the attic in newer chapters. This is averted by the bonus material in volume 5 revealing she was released by Rachnera and subsequently punished for going out without permission/unaccompanied by having to run a marathon.
** She shows up again in the main story in Chapter 34, distressed at the thought Rachnera might have abandoned her.
** Part of Chapter 40 is dedicated to her. She's still as mischievous and infatuated with Rachnera as ever.
* WingedHumanoid: Has small bat-like wings.
* WingsDoNothing: She can't fly with her wings, hence why she ran away from the wild boar instead of flying.
* YouGottaHaveBlueHair: She has light turquoise hair.
* ZettaiRyouiki: Class B thanks to her jacket.

[[folder:Miia's mom]]

Miia's mother, who claims to come only to visit, but intends to pursue her own agenda regarding Kimihito.
* BareYourMidriff: Much to Miia's embarrassment.
* BewareTheSillyOnes: She's a funny woman, and the methods used to drive her off are pretty silly. Doesn't change the fact that she plans to make Kimihito a SexSlave for her tribe, and is willing to resort to abduction to do it.
* {{Determinator}}: "Snakes are very stubborn you know! We never let our prey get away."
* ExoticExtendedMarriage: She's looking for a [[MarryThemAll "communal]] [[SexSlave husband"]] for her whole tribe.
* HairDecorations: Wears a pair of D-shaped hair clips just like her daughter.
* EyesAlwaysShut: When they're open, she looks [[HellishPupils more]] [[TsurimeEyes ominous]].
* InnateNightVision: Lamias can "see" heat using "pit vision," via an organ not dissimilar to real-world vipers.
* LovableSexManiac: Even more so than her daughter. Even after she agrees to let Miia try to have Kimihito for herself, she ''still'' tries to sneak into his room in the middle of the night for some nookie.
* MasterPoisoner: "Lamias are skilled poisoners. I thought you knew." She has a broad array of them, from [[SlippingAMickey paralysis drugs]] to a poison that [[LovePotion inflames lust in proportion to the recipient's initial disgust]].
* MumLooksLikeASister: Kimihito was quite surprised when he saw her, even before she tried to seduce him right away.
* OverlyLongTongue: [[LecherousLicking And she uses it too.]]
* RapunzelHair: It goes past her waist.
* SnakePeople: [[CaptainObvious Well, yes...]]
* ThanksForTheMammaries: The first thing she does after saying hi is offer her hand toward Kimihito for a handshake... to grab his hand and rub it on her breasts, confirming from his resulting boner that he has a sex urge after all.
* UnnamedParent: We don't know her real name.
* WeaksauceWeakness: Cold, again, like her daughter.

[[folder:Papi's mom]]

Papi's mother, who shows up to retrieve her while trying to remind her daughter of something.
* DarkSkinnedBlond: The result of a dark tan, hair bleach and heavy makeup.
* DoYouWantToCopulate: Asks the bicycle cop if he wants to mate with her with a straight face.
* DynamicEntry: Like Papi, her mom makes her first appearance landing on the safety rail on Kimihito's roof. Unlike Papi though, Papi's mom crushes the railing under her talons from the force of impact.
* HappilyMarried: Though harpies theoretically don't stay with the same guy, she is married to Papi's father, who is the one that influenced her to tanning and dyeing. Apparently the same free-spirited nature that created the tradition of loving and leaving men ensures that harpies who ''do'' find a guy they like just happily ignore it.
* HarpingOnAboutHarpies: [[CaptainObvious Naturally]].
* TheIllegible: Her handwriting is basically unreadable. [[JustifiedTrope Justified]] in that, like Papi, the digits on her wings aren't nearly as dexterous as human hands and fingers.
* InexplicablyIdenticalIndividuals: As revealed in an omake, harpies (or at least the members of her and Papi's flock) all have the same natural appearance. She even blithely admits that she's not even sure that Papi is her actual daughter.
* MumLooksLikeASister: As if Papi herself didn't look young enough.
* OlderThanSheLooks: Bicycle Cop mistook her for another exchange student.
* PerpetualMolt: Like her daughter.
* RapunzelHair: Goes all the way down to her waist.
* SubculturesInJapan: While she isn't a direct member, her look is clearly influenced by the "gyaru" or "ganguro" movements. [[spoiler: Guess her husband has a thing for that.]]
* UnnamedParent: [[LampshadeHanging Lampshaded]], as Papi can't remember the names of her parents or Kimihito.
* WingedHumanoid: She is a harpy after all...
* YouNoTakeCandle: Her skill at speaking Japanese is... rather lacking, and is the main cause for the chapter's misunderstanding. [[spoiler: She didn't want Papi to go back to a husband she didn't remember, but rather wanted to get back the photo of herself and ''her'' husband that she'd accidentally mailed alongside her letter to Papi.]]

[[folder:Centorea's mom]]

Cerea's mother, who shows up to see how her daughter is doing in fulfilling one of their "traditions."
* AntiquatedLinguistics: More prominent than her daughter's, which is reflected in the fan translation.
-->'''Mom:''' Hark! Be there no one in this abode?! If thou refuse to open, state thy intention forthwith, insolent curs!
* {{Expy}}: From the torso up, she looks like an extremely busty [[Literature/ZeroNoTsukaima Karin de la Valliere.]]
* FashionableAsymmetry: She keeps one bang longer than the other.
* GagBoobs: Even bigger than her daughter's.
* InterspeciesRomance: She grew up with a young human boy her family wanted to use as a "teaser." [[spoiler: He turns out to be Centorea's father, since the two of them knocked out and tricked the centaur stallion who was going to breed with her so that they could be together.]]
* LettingHerHairDown: After her jousting match with Centorea, she lets her hair down, and becomes far less strict.
* LikeMotherLikeDaughter: Unlike the other mother/daughter relationships introduced so far, Centorea clearly didn't fall far from the tree. Her mom seems to be a snapshot of the sort of person she'll be in a few years.
* MumLooksLikeASister: Once again, will we ever see an older-looking monster girl?
* OurCentaursAreDifferent: Apparently they have some weird mating traditions, reflecting real-world racehorse breeding practices. For one, generations of eugenics have resulted in [[BizarreSexualDimorphism dim-witted males that look like muscular barbarians]] with a side of {{Gonk}} and matching personalities, so they use various "teasers" the girls find more attractive to get them all riled up before mating. Understandably, most modern centaur girls aren't terribly thrilled by this, including Centorea [[spoiler: and her mom]].
* PrimAndProperBun: She keeps her hair in a bun, to reflect her strict nature.
* ProudWarriorRaceGirl: She calls out Cerea for not following their traditions. [[spoiler: Actually more sympathetic than it seems at first blush. She turns out to be using a clever plan to subvert those same traditions and bring about progressive change.]]
* RedBaron: She's known as the "Goddess of Jousting".
* UnnamedParent: Pretty much a RunningGag at this point.

A yuki-onna running an onsen resort.
* AcquiredPoisonImmunity: Is using slow, constant exposure to the springs she works in as a method of training her body to better withstand her natural weakness to heated temperatures.
* CrazyPrepared: She is really thorough when it comes to designing her resort, having accommodations for practically every monster girl imaginable.
* EarlyBirdCameo: First appeared in a 4koma on Okayado's twitter.
* EmotionalPowers: She loses control of her ice powers when she loses her stoic expression.
* FrozenFace: She's trying to learn how to smile for the customers, but she has a hard time at it.
* HairDecorations: Her hair is done up using a hairclip created from her own ice, resembling a snowflake that changes everyday due to her cold aura.
* AnIcePerson: As befitting a yuki-onna, though she has many difficulties running a hot-springs resort because of her powers.
* ImpossiblyLowNeckline: She wears her kimono somewhat loose, leaving an off-the-shoulder neckline. Though it works since she has an obi sash to hold the dress.
* InterspeciesRomance: Surprising no one, she's dating the human future heir of the resort.
* KryptoniteProofSuit: Wears a special suit to maintain the springs despite their heat.
* ALizardNamedLiz: A yuki-onna named Yukio.
* PersonalityPowers: Subverted. She isn't really "cold" so much as she just has difficulty expressing herself.
* RapunzelHair: Her hair reaches down to her knees.
* SingleWomanSeeksGoodMan: She is completely in love with her boyfriend because he's kind, considerate and has a cheerful smile.
* StatuesqueStunner: Her boyfriend finds her tallness attractive.
* TheStoic: It's a problem she's had to work on, since her cold demeanor is scaring off customers.
* SugarAndIcePersonality: Though she's usually quite controlled, she melts when thinking about her boyfriend or when embarrassed by displays of emotion.
* SymbolMotifClothing: As befitting of a yuki-onna, Yukio wears a kimono adorned with snowflakes.
* WhenSheSmiles: When talking about her beloved young master, she unconsciously smiles which Kimihito notes. However, this causes Yukio to lose control of her composure and nearly freeze Kimihito.
* {{Youkai}}: Yukio is a yuki-onna, a Japanese ice monster.

[[folder:Luz Ninetei]]

A nine-tailed fox in the exchange program, working at a shrine as a miko.
* AntiquatedLinguistics: She talks like an old lady, despite looking around ten.
* EvilLaugh: Is apparently good enough at this that Kimihito, Miia and Rachnee wonder if she shouldn't be playing the ''villain'' rather than the magical girl.
* {{Kitsune}}: Nine tails and all.
* MagicalGirl: Complete with live-action TransformationSequence on stage, thanks to Rachnera.
* {{Miko}}: Works as a shrine maiden.
* OneSteveLimit: The initial scanlation had her first name as Liz. However, with the reveal of Liz the lizardman in chapter 34, the scanlators quickly changed her name to Luz.
* OurNudityIsDifferent: She isn't the least bit embarrassed that a whole crowd of people saw her completely naked, since she was transformed at the time. So it wasn't really "her".
* PettingZooPeople: In her default form, she has fur, fox's ears, nose and teeth, and nine fox tails.
* PunnyName: Luz Ninetei, the nine-tailed fox.
* SexierAlterEgo: When playing a magical girl.
* SpellMyNameWithAnS: Is it Luz, Ruz or Liz? The official English translation is Ils Nineta.
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: Inari sushi.
* TheTrickster: Although she's unwilling to outright break the law.
* VoluntaryShapeshifting: Like all nine-tailed foxes, Luz can change herself into anything using her tails - but [[ShapeshiftingExcludesClothing it doesn't extend to her clothes]].

A minotaur working on a farm.
* AmazonianBeauty: Strong enough to hoist logs over her shoulder, the tallest character in the series thus far (that isn't in {{Kaiju}}-mode anyway), and drop-dead gorgeous. She's officially stated to be 231cm[[note]]7ft 7in[[/note]] tall in [[AllThereInTheManual her profile]].
* BoobsOfSteel: Her breast size is easily larger than Centorea's (I03 cm or an I Cup).
** Confirmed in her official profile (shared with Merino, Tawn & Cott). She's a ''171 Q''. Cathyl is both taller and bustier than Tionishia!
* DoesNotLikeShoes: Since her feet are hooves.
* FacialMarkings: She has black splotches beneath her eyes, looking almost like a permanent BlushSticker.
* FantasticArousal: Being milked is very arousing, even orgasmic, for her; so she normally has her boyfriend do it as it would be too awkward to ask a friend. When she believes her boyfriend is cheating she opts for a stranger (Kimihito), since she won't likely have to face him again and she only wants it done to relieve the pain she is in from the milk building up, not for pleasure.
* {{Foreshadowing}}: The remark that she isn't good at remembering names ends up being this, as it led to a misunderstanding with her boyfriend.
* GagBoobs: The largest in the series so far (even bigger than Centorea's), barring giant transformations. This is to be expected, since she ''is'' apparently part-cow. They get a bit smaller once she has been milked.
* HeyYou: Because she's bad with names, according to her. This leads to her thinking her boyfriend is cheating on her, because he was calling the names of the ''sheep'' on the farm, which she forgot.
* HornedHumanoid: Typical of a minotaur.
* InterspeciesRomance: She's in a relationship with her human host, the owner of the farm where she works.
* ALoadOfBull: She's a minotaur.
* MeaningfulName: Kyatoru/Cathyl is a mispronunciation of cattle, as in livestock, such as dairy cows. Not exactly a flattering meaning, but a meaning nonetheless.
* MulticoloredHair: White in front, black in the back.
* MusclesAreMeaningless: Averted. She's shown to be very strong, and while not exactly ''ripped'' her arms do show well-developed muscles.
* OralFixation: She's always seen with a blade of grass hanging out of her mouth.
* SpellMyNameWithAnS: Is it Kyatoru or Cathyl? There's even some translations going with Cattleya.
* StatuesqueStunner: Taller than even Tionishia, barely.
* TomboyAndGirlyGirl: The Tomboy to Merino's Girly Girl.
* YourCheatingHeart: She believes her boyfriend is cheating on her. [[MistakenForCheating Turns out, he's not and she had nothing to worry about.]]

A satyr working on a farm.
* AnimalEyes: She has rectangular pupils, like a sheep.
* FantasticArousal: Having her fleece sheared gets her excited, to say the least.
* FaunsAndSatyrs: She calls herself a satyr, but she's more sheep than goat. A more accurate translation clarified her as a "pan faun."
* HornedHumanoid: She has sheep horns.
* LoveAtFirstSight: She is quite taken with the new farm worker, to say the least, when he compliments her. [[spoiler: An omake reveals she gets him to shear her (intimate parts as well) not long after.]]
* MeaningfulName: Merino is a breed of sheep.
* NiceGirl: Unfailingly kind and polite to Kimihito, Cerea, and Papi during their visit.
* PettingZooPeople: Fauns grow fleece just about everywhere besides their faces and need to have it sheared on a regular basis. Once they've been sheared, they're more akin to being a LittleBitBeastly, as they only have a little fleece left on their legs and around their neck.
* TomboyAndGirlyGirl: The Girly Girl to Cathyl's Tomboy.
* VaporWear: She isn't wearing anything under her overalls besides her own fleece.

[[folder:Cott & Ton]]

A pair of Barometz twins working on a farm.
* DarkSkinnedBlond: They certainly appear to be.
* EyesAlwaysShut: Even in their profile with Cathyl and Merino.
* FaunsAndSatyrs: [[AvertedTrope They aren't]], they just resemble pan fauns.
* IdenticalTwinIDTag: They comb their hair over a different eye and their horns are curved in different directions. It's still not clear which of them is which; though their profile seems to imply Cott is the one with her horns pointing upwards, while Ton is the one with the downwards-pointing horns.
* HornedHumanoid: They have cute little goat horns.
* PlantPerson: Despite their resemblance to pan fauns, they are similar to dryads. Their "wool" is also actually cotton.
* PunnyName: Cott-Ton.
* SingleMindedTwins: They seem quite coordinated.

A bodyguard working for the Talio Private Security Company to deal with extraspecies threats.
* AmbiguouslyGay / AmbiguouslyBi: She seemed quite receptive towards Draco after being given flowers and a teddy bear by her (or rather, by someone she thought was Draco). Too bad Draco was hitting on Miia at the time. Hilarity ensues.
* AnimalEyes: She has slitted pupils.
* ConsummateProfessional: Liz takes her job as a bodyguard ''very'' seriously, and does not react well to interferences.
* CuteLittleFangs: Most noticable when she's shouting.
* DangerousForbiddenTechnique: Since lizards store nutrients in their tail, she risks dying of malnutrition if she cuts her tail off. Kimihito stops her from doing that upon hearing this.
* DeathGlare: When Draco hits on her, Liz intimidates the dragonewt with a menacing glare, bared fangs, and HellishPupils.
* TheDitz: She berates Kinu for being stupid, but she's not much better off herself.
* DrivesLikeCrazy: She keeps forgetting one of the most basic rules of driving: keep your eyes on the road.
* ItOnlyWorksOnce: Stated word-for-word [[AllThereInTheManual in her profile]] about her tail-detachment comment.
* LizardFolk: She's a lizardman. Draco initially mistakes her for a dragonewt.
* ALizardNamedLiz: Literally.
* OneSteveLimit: The scanlators had initially intended to use Liz as the name for the kitsune in chapter 32. However, after the reveal of this Liz in chapter 34, it was quickly changed to Luz.
* WhenAllYouHaveIsAHammer: You're being chased? Clearly the best thing to do is to cut off your tail and run.

A bodyguard oni working for the Talio Private Security Company to deal with extraspecies threats.
* AmazingTechnicolorPopulation: She has red skin, [[AllThereInTheManual according to her profile]].
* CuteLittleFangs: Adding to her adorable nature.
* TheDitz: She's not overly bright.
* HornedHumanoid: Two of them, unlike Tionishia's one.
* SquirrelsInMyPants: Bug in your suit? Take it off!
* StatuesqueStunner: She's a bit smaller than Tio(but still rather tall, at 192cm).
* {{Youkai}}: She's an Oni, an [[OurOgresAreHungrier ogre subspecies]].

[[folder:Sebastian & Potemkin]]

A pair of fishmen looking to secure the safe return of a certain VIP.
* AerithAndBob: Sebastian is quite the common name, but Potemkin? Not so much.
* AssholeVictim: They may not be malicious, but the problems caused by their selfishness and pettiness means it's unlikely the reader will feel anything but satisfaction when Oct and Rachnera strangle them as a threat and they get their fins chewed on by piranhas.
* BatmanCanBreatheInSpace: Both are literal fish out of water. If they're anything like Mero, they too can likely breathe on land so long as their gills are damp.
* BitchInSheepsClothing: While they initially seem like faithful servants to Mero, it's later shown that they're quite selfish.
** Whenever something goes wrong, their first concern is what will happen to them, even if someone's life could be in danger.
** Instead of contacting the authorities to rescue Mero from Oct, they have Kimihito and the girls save her instead because [[spoiler:they fear they'll lose their jobs if people find out they knew where Oct was because they tried to ask her for a favor.]]
* {{Dirty Coward}}s: Rather than accompany Kimihito and the others on their rescue mission, they instead drop them off on the island and drive their boat away.
* FishPeople: They look like fish with arms and legs attached (they even still have a tail!). In other words, reverse mermen. They know where Oct lives, because [[spoiler:they wanted her to turn them into handsome mermen instead.]]
* LostInTranslation: Their Japanese names are actually puns on the fish-species they resemble. The English version calls them [[Disney/TheLittleMermaid Sebastian and Flounder]] instead.
* NoCartoonFish: Look at the picture.
* PoorCommunicationKills: Semi-justified. They send a bunch of untrained amateurs after Oct instead of MON commandos because [[spoiler:they don't want to lose their jobs on account of once trying to bargain with her. Not telling them about the giant sea anemones that live in the cave though... that's just them being lax.]]
* ShoutOut: Of [[Disney/TheLittleMermaid Sebastian]] and [[VideoGame/GuiltyGear Potemkin]]. The English dub changes Potemkin's name to Flounder, another reference to ''The Little Mermaid''.
* ThoseTwoGuys: "Those Two Fishes" is a much more accurate description, but it gets the job done.

[[folder:Mero's Mom]]

Mero's mother. [[WalkingSpoiler Beware of spoilers.]]
* TheCaligula: She's very much unsuited to be in any position of authority, much less the queen of a nation.
* DisappointedInYou: [[spoiler: The queen is extremely disappointed that Mero has been "tainted" by happiness in the human world and "lost sight of tragedy".]]
* DullEyesOfUnhappiness: When she's first shown, and whenever there's focus on her eyes. [[spoiler: [[EyeOpen This stops]] when things go beyond her control.]]
* EvilMatriarch: She has a very strong idea of what she thinks Mero should be, and doesn't particularly care whether or not it makes Mero happy.
* HeelRealization: [[spoiler: When it seems that Mero is ''actually'' going to die as a result of her schemes, she panics. It's implied that coming so close to actually experiencing a tragedy led her to the same realization Mero had figured out.]]
* HiddenAgendaVillain: [[spoiler: She lied about the severity of the eloping problem and started the rumors about Oct in order to dispute the Inter-Species Exchange Act, purely for the sake of creating tragedy.]]
* TheHighQueen: The queen of a mermaid kingdom.
* HopelessWithTech: [[spoiler: Her total incompetence with a smart phone very nearly gets Kimihito and Mero killed because she can't figure out how to disable all her death traps.]]
* KarmaHoudini: [[spoiler: Despite being seemingly ready to murder Kimihito in cold blood, almost getting her own daughter killed, and causing a serious political issue, all she has to do is publicly tell the truth about Oct and the Inter-Species Act to her people and faces no real punishment.]] She doesn't quite qualify for EasilyForgiven because she keeps her true role in the arc a secret from the public.
** That last part might have been justified; as Rachnera said afterward, the merpeople might have revolted against her if the Queen revealed she was behind everything. Revolutions can be very, very bloody, as [[UsefulNotes/TheFrenchRevolution French history]] has shown.
* MumLooksLikeASister: Like every other mother introduced she too looks rather young for her age, though it's not as extreme as Miia or Papi's mothers.
* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: [[spoiler:Realizing that Meroune is willing to risk death for the chance of a happy ending seems to break through to her.]]
* NightmareFetishist: Much like her daughter. [[spoiler: The queen however, is much less comedic about it, to the point of instigating a political schism for the sake of separating couples and nearly killing Kimihito just to create tragedy.]]
* OjouRinglets: Practically UpToEleven.
* SadisticChoice: She forces one on Mero. [[spoiler: Either let Kimihito drown, or save him and be forced to come back to the Mermaid Kingdom and never see him again. It's unlikely she actually intended to go through with murder, but that's when her control over the situation breaks down.]]
* UnnamedParent: Although her last name might be inferred from her daughter.
* WalkingSpoiler: Good luck trying to say ''anything'' about her without revealing her motives.
* YourCheatingHeart: She mentions that her husband, Mero's father, eloped with a human woman. [[spoiler: She conveniently leaves out that she had been seeing a human boyfriend behind his back for quite a while beforehand. Kimihito muses that may have been the reason her husband left her in the first place.]]

A scylla, described as a villain and deceiver of mermaids by Sebastian.
* AlienHair: She has tentacles instead of hair.
* AnimalEyes: She has octopus pupils.
* AstonishinglyAppropriateAppearance: Her hood looks like an octopus head, and the buckles around her collar look like octopus eyes. Combined with her tentacles, they give her the appearance of a giant octopus, especially when shown as a silhouette.
* BreakingTheFourthWall: Or even the fifth. [[http://imgur.com/JRUeWkk In one omake]] she lends one of her skimpy bikinis to Manako, who is enormously flustered. Oct then asks her why she's embarassed, since she appears naked in every episode of the anime during the ending sequence! For that matter, Manako says that the anime producers didn't ask her permission to put these images in the ending...
* CarnivoreConfusion: She cooks takoyaki, octopus dumplings, in her shop. Then again, octopi are notable for eating members of their own species anyway.
* DarkSkinnedBlond: Her hair-tentacles are noticeably lighter than her skin.
* {{Expy}}: A half-octopus being described as a 'villain' and 'deceiver'? She's like a thinner, prettier [[Film/TheLittleMermaid Ursula.]] It fits quite well, considering Mero's obsession with the fairy tale. [[spoiler:Ultimately subverted as she's a perfectly friendly woman with no magical powers at all.]]
* FantasticRacism: [[spoiler:She's been accosted by countless mermaids and mermen seeking magical assistance, had malicious rumors spread about her when she was unable to help, and then made a scapegoat for the Mermaid queen's plot purely because she's a scylla.]]
* FriendlyRivalry: With Rachnera. They hit it off after using their various means of constriction to duel.
* InTheHood: She wears a hood that resembles an octopus's head.
* KansaiRegionalAccent: Maybe to make her sound more funny or sympathetic.
* LetsGetDangerous: [[InvertedTrope Inverted.]] She initially presents herself as a serious threat when her pet anemones very quickly incapacitate Cerea and Miia, and she essentially fights Rachnera to a draw, all while holding Kimihito hostage and threatening to rape him if Rachnera stops fighting to go look for Mero. She later displays a much more laid-back and goofy personality once it's cleared up that Kimihito and company are merely worried about their friend, not assassins sent by the mermaid kingdom.
* ALizardNamedLiz: Oct, from octopus.
* LoveableSexManiac: Had her tentacles down Kimihito's pants literally seconds after meeting him. This was mainly done to get Rachnera to let down her guard, but her subsequent fondling of Kimihito and offer of a "reward" was certainly genuine.
* NotEvilJustMisunderstood: [[spoiler:She's not the evil witch we're initially lead to believe she is. She's actually a nice person and she can't even use magic; she was merely framed through rumors by the queen. Her "kidnapping" of Mero was also a big misunderstanding.]]
* RedHerring: [[spoiler:She's set up as a serious villain and the source of many problems in the mermaid kingdom, but she's an innocent scapegoat for a larger scheme by Mero's mother.]]
* TheScapegoat: [[spoiler:She has been framed as an evil witch who deceives mermaids as part of a scheme by the queen.]]
* SolitarySorceress: People seeking magical solutions to their, often trivial, problems have forced her to isolate herself. [[spoiler: Mostly because she can't do any magic to begin with.]]
* UnscaledMerfolk: Unlike Mero, Oct is a scylla; in place of a fish tail, she has octopus tentacles.

A jiangshi looking for a Japanese man to marry.
* AllChinesePeopleKnowKungFu: Practices tai chi everyday to keep rigor mortis from setting in.
* AnimeChineseGirl: Implied to be from Taiwan.
* BraidsOfAction: One very long braid in the back, and definitely no slouch in combat.
* CitizenshipMarriage: She is desperately trying to invoke this trope.
* FriendlyEnemy: To Zombina.
* GratuitousForeignLanguage: She says some Chinese words.
* HandHidingSleeves: Hand Hiding ''Detached'' Sleeves in this case.
* HyperspaceArsenal: Carries a surprising amount of swords in her sleeves.
* TheIllegal: She's looking to change that though.
* ImmuneToBullets: Shrugs normal bullets off, being undead.
* {{Jiangshi}}: Though more zombie than vampire.
* NighInvulnerability: Part of the undead package.
* NothingUpMySleeve: She hides large blades in her sleeves.
* OddlyVisibleEyebrows: As seen in the picture.
* OurZombiesAreDifferent: Jiangshi are a zombie subspecies in this setting.
* RapunzelHair: Her braid's as long as her body, if not longer.
* ShoutOut: She's a jiangshi who carries enormous blades and other weapons hidden in her sleeves, much like [[VideoGame/{{Darkstalkers}} Hsien-Ko]].
* SlasherSmile: Shark-like teeth and all.
* WeaksauceWeakness: Rock salt apparently calms her down.
* YaoiFangirl: As befitting a "rotting girl". In fact, the whole reason she wants to marry a Japanese guy is so she doesn't have to sneak into the country to attend doujin events.
* YouNoTakeCandle: A lot of her dialogue is rendered as such in the scanlations, with a healthy dose of {{engrish}} thrown in.
