Bunta Takakura (Bernoulli Ench)
Voiced by: Rokurō Naya (ep. 4 - ep. 841), Junpei Morita (ep. 872 onwards)
- Face of a Thug: He is often mistaken as a yakuza due to his scary face. And even when he clarifies that he's the principal, people just think that means he's the warden of a prison instead
- Happily Married: He is married with Mrs. Takakura, who works with him as the owners of the kindergarden.
- Running Gag: Will get accosted, the police called on him, all due to his face.
Midori Ishizaka (Miss Anderson)
- Friendly Rivalry: With Ume Matsuzaka
- Happily Married: She marries Ishizaka late in the series
- Reasonable Authority Figure: In contrast to Matsusaka and Ageo, she seems to be more down to the earth.
- Stern Teacher: She is this towards shin chan, due to how hard is to control him.
Ume Matsuzaka (Miss Katz)
- Conspicuous Consumption: She often wastes her money in pretty expensive dresses, forcing her to spend the rest of the month feeding herself with cheap food.
- Do Not Call Me Ume: She dislikes her given name due to one of the meanings of "Ume", refering it to something of "3rd class" or "low class"
- Drowning My Sorrows: Ume often gets drunk when she's rejected.
- Everyone Has Standards: As much as desperate she is in her search for a date, she doesn't seek to want any relationship with a suitor who is mean towards children, acts like a manchild or both.
- Failure Is the Only Option: Expect this during the episodes where he dates men.
- Friendly Rivalry: With Midori Ishizaka
- Handsome Lech: Despite her looks, her dates often result in failure, mostly due to shin chan antics or due to showcasing her personality.
- Sibling Rivalry: She has one with her sisters, when all of them try to date the same guy.
- Signature Laugh: She has a snobbish laugh when she brags.
- Yank the Dog's Chain: In the manga, her only stable boyfriend, Tokuro, died in a terrorist attack while working in Africa just as he was planning to return to Kasukabe and stay with Ume for good.
Masumi Ageo (Miss Polly)
- Brutal Honesty: Without her glasses, she aggressively says what she thinks.
- Hidden Depths: In one episode, she is shown to have great computing knowledge and even managed to create her own internet webpage.
- Shrinking Violet: With her glasses, she is very shy and has trouble dealing with the kids.
- Split Personality: Her personality depends. She's totally frightened and shy while she wears them, but if her glasses are removed, she becomes aggressive and fearless.
