The Heroine. A depressed Office Lady, Kasane finds enjoyment in being served by her idol, Meguru at a family restaurant. After certain events, two move in together and become “Contract Sisters”.
- Closet Otaku: In the first chapter, Kasane is depressed that her favorite Idol Singer graduated and that a Yuri manga she liked was cancelled.
- Ms. Fanservice: Kasane is an attractive young woman and very popular. This is best exemplified in Chapter 3 during her Shower Scene. Meguru evens compliments her “pretty back”.
- Oblivious to Love: Kasane is both unaware of her true feelings towards Meguru as well as Meguru’s feelings towards her. She might also be unaware of Mii-chan’ s true feelings as well.
- Office Lady: This is Kasane’s job and source of income.
- The Protagonist: Kasane is the main character and the story is mostly told her point of view.
- Replacement Goldfish: Kasane serves as this to Meguru’s real older sister to Meguru.

The Deuteragonist. A dead-faced young woman, Meguru works at “Royal Meals” where she meets Kasane.
- A Day in the Limelight: Chapter 6 is told from her point or view and details her experience and feelings towards Kasane before they are aquatinted.
- Aloof Dark-Haired Girl: Meguru has jet black hair and an unmoving face.
- Clingy Jealous Girl: After meeting Mii-chan, she questions if Kasane and the former are friends an adds an amendment to the contract that reads:
- ‘’Condition 10- for the duration of the contract, both parties are forbidden from entering romantic relationships. ’’
- Emotionless Girl: Meguru’s face is rather rigid. Kasane considers it her Charm Point, but Mii-chan is disturbed.
- The Stoic: Meguru is extremely reserved towards her own emotions outwardly.
- When She Smiles: It is quite the treat when she does.

- Ambiguous Situation: Meguru states in Chapter 5 that her older sister is overseas but nothing in the series has confirmed or denied this.
- Cool Big Sis: She was a gentle and caring sister to Meguru in the past.
- The Ghost: She has yet to physically appear in the story.
- No Name Given: The only thing she is referred to as is Onee-chan (Big Sis) by Meguru.

- Affectionate Nickname: She is referred to as Mii-chan by Kasane.
- Boyish Short Hair: This is how she currently wears her hair.
- Brutal Honesty: Mii-chan seems incapable of mincing her words.
- Clingy Jealous Girl: Mii-chan thinks the surprise Kasane has for her is a marriage announcement and tells her that going on about Meguru is banned.
- Japanese Delinquents: Despite looking the part, she isn’t one.
- Mistaken for Romance:
- The Waitress in the restaurant knows that Kasane and Meguru aren’t a couple but thinks that they look good together.
- Meguru bans romance for herself and Kasane after meeting Mii-chan.
- Only Sane Man: She’s the most well-adjusted of the main cast.
- Tomboyness Upgrade: As a high-schooler, her hair was much longer and she didn’t dress androgynously.
