A mantis-like male Awakened Being that inhabited the mountains of Paburo, serving as an executioner for the Organization to get rid of troublesome Claymores. Was the first Awakened Being that Clare confronted as a Claymore.

* BadassBoast: His quote listed above. True to his words, if Clare wouldn't have been there, Miria's team would had know what despair truly is.

* LetsGetDangerous: After a few clashes with Miria's team, he decides to stop playing and shows his true strenght, injuring them all except Miria herself, that proceeds to fight alone against him.

Unlike Riful, whose only subject follows her due love (since the others were either killed for not meeting her power criteria or were mere Yomas), or Luciela, that prefers being alone, his army (including Rigaldo) follow him for respect for his power and strength, thus being the only Abyssal One with a sizeable number of followers.

Her plan of creating an Awakened Being army on captured Claymores failed (in part thank to her high criteria), without her managing to again any new follower; later, she fell on Isley's trap, killing his subordinates (who were sent to her lands as a distraction while he fought against Luciela without anyone interfering) and arriving too late to the battle-zone of the two Abyssal Ones, being unable to both save Luciela and kill a wounded Isley (due Priscilla's presence), eventually losing too in the war of the Abyssal Ones. After the time-skip, [[spoiler:her plan to awaken the fused Luciela and Raphaela and make the fused being who would emerge of them her subordinate failed espectacularly, as what came from the fusion of the sisters was an uncontrollable EldritchAbomination that only had destruction in mind, and once Alicia, Beth and a group of Abyss Feeders appears, she can barely contain them, being only saved thanks to the Destroyer forcefully awakening Beth and bewildering Alicia, before being killed for good by Priscilla, the true BigBad of the series.]] And even without that, she would had probably being killed sooner if the Organization wouldn't had went for Isley first.

!Abyssal Ones

Former Number One Claymore warriors who Awakened in the past. Stronger than the other Awakened Beings and with an unmatched power, they have established their domains in different points of the continent; Isley in the Northern region of Alphonse, Riful in the Western region of Lautrec, and Luciela in the Southern Region of Mucha. Though they don't attack nor invade the territory of each other, they do not get along well. When Isley begins to advance to other regions to conquest the continent, a war between the three Abyssal Ones begins.

* CurbStompBattle: Any fight she joins in post-Awakening is pretty much this.

* UsedToBeASweetKid: As Chapter 135 indicates, Priscilla and [[spoiler: Raki]] are NotSoDifferent.

* NormalFishInATinyPond: By the standards of the island where the events of the series take place, they are considered among the most powerful monsters that there can be. [[spoiler: It is revealed that in the world outside the island there are monsters that are as strong or even stronger than they are called "Dragon's Kin".]]

* CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass: Dauf may be a complete idiot, but forgoting he was the previous number 3 Claymore of the male era is a mistake, as he's incredibly strong and is able to beat easily other Awakened Beings with his bare hands (like he did with a recently Awakened Katea). He's even more dangerous when he fights on open field, without obstacles that could hinder his huge size. An unfortunate member of Isley's army gets a taste of this when he mocked Dauf, before being killed instantly by one of his rods, accurately targeted on his face. This was an Awakened Being able to survive the army of Claymores gathered at the North's campaign, mind you. He was also able to turn the tables on Galatea when she decided to fight him alone while Clare rescued Jean, and a teamwork of 3 powerful Claymores was needed to defeat (but not kill) him.

* FriendToAllChildren: Either he is this or a paedophile, considering his infatuation with Riful the moment he saw her.

* EvilVSEvil: With themselves before the time-skip, and with [[BigBad Priscilla]] and [[spoiler: the Organization ]] after the time-skip.
