A witch with a rather [[DarkAndTroubledPast sketchy background]], Samantha had been dedicated to hunting Deep Spawn for more than twenty years now. While certainly skilled as a sea beast slayer, her [[TheDeterminator single-minded dedication]] for [[AnimalNemesis hunting and killing leviathans]] often call up disturbing implications about her state of mind. Her personal goal is to kill the Bakunawa for killing her young wife at least two decades ago.

* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Is dismissive of Eldritch's naive views and is quick to dispel what she perceives as misguided optimism. However, she is shown time and time again to care deeply for her crew.
* KnightInSourArmor: Has shades of this as she is often shown to have a sense of decency and a love for her crew despite her blood thirsty nature.
* PetTheDog: Saving a young boy named Sean Davis, a HeartwarmingOrphan, from an OrphanageOfFear and a possible early death in a NightmarishFactory.
* ProngsOfPoseidon: Her WeaponOfChoice "Impaler" is one.
* YouGottaHaveBlueHair: Violet or purple in her case.
