* MyGreatestFailure: Although he acts like he's more concerned with rockets than the lost of his planet, a lore challenge of his however reveals that he actually considers the darkening of Madan a great failure. Mainly because it was the first fight he lost, a thing that led to him and his nestmate Circinae getting separated when their planet was lost.

* CloningBlues: As revealed in his lore challenges, he has a bit of angst on being a clone due to how others tend to view clone soldiers. Thus he kinda withheld information when he first joined the UPR as well as adopt an over the top badass manly personality to hide the fact he was a clone.

* InferioritySuperiorityComplex: Oscar Mike tends to present himself with a badass RatedMForManly over the top persona but in reality, it's merely a thinly veiled facade to hide his insecurities as a clone soldier.

* RatedMForManly: He has an extremely manly gung-ho character that's pretty much a walking manly soldier stereotype. Various lines of dialogue of his and info from his lore challenges though reveal that at least part of this is just for show to hide his more sensitive side.

** Ernest's Power Egg normally just buffs allies but there is an augment which allows his beacon to impart a debuff to nearby enemies. The Eggslowerator augment makes it that while in Defense Mode, the Power Egg will slow enemies in range.
** The Shellshocker augment makes it that enemies damaged by Direct Hit are wounded for a brief time. Meanwhile, the mutually exclusive The Ol' Razzle-Dazzle mutation makes it that Ernest's passive Direct Hit marks enemies. Afterwards, Direct Hit deals increased damage to marked enemies, consuming the mark.
** The Gridlock augment makes it that enemies damaged by his Mine Grid mines are slowed for a brief time. Meanwhile the mutually exclusive augment Watch Your Step makes it that each Mine Grid mine that damages an enemy increases the damage dealt by subsequent mine explosions.

* BadassBeard: Sports a face full of hair to compliment his manliness.

** '''To the Jennerit:''' Faction-wise, the UPR and the Jennerit basically have a GoodRepublicEvilEmpire dynamic between them especially in regards to Rendain's Imperium. The UPR are a coalition made up of different space-faring civilizations that is very welcoming to other races and dedicated to defending against the Varelsi. The Jennerit meanwhile, are a once space spanning empire that is very racist towards other races and under Rendain have decided to ally with the Varelsi. Although both factions are also NotSoDifferent in that they're both heavily militaristic discipline based and that both have authoritarian aspects via the UPR's ObstructiveBureaucracy and the Jennerit's FantasticCasteSystem, they're really foils to one another in this regard.\\

* {{Transgender}}: In spite of starting as literally the same guy, each of the various Mike clones have decided to find [[ClonesArePeopleToo their own individual identity]]. Some of which have opted to identify as female thus the Kingdom of Mikes is a society made up of brothers and sister-brothers. A number of these transfemale Mikes are even in [[ScrewYourself relationships with their male clone counterparts]]. In Oscar Mike's DLC Story Operation, three transfemale Mikes are encountered/mentioned:
** Rachael Mike, the assistant director at the Royal Mike Ballet and General Mike's wife. She's a sweetheart who's not only capable of single combat but is also very knowledgeable about ballet.
** Queen Mike, queen of the Mikes. Mentioned in Oscar Mike and Whiskey Foxtrot's lore challenges, she's encountered in the operation.
** Push-Up Mike, a Mike who's mentioned by General Mike of being really enthusiastic about doing pushups, which is saying something as Mikes generally are really into pushups.

* TheReptilians: Ernest's appropriately named Devolved skin basically devolved the bird man back into a feathered dino man.

** Interestingly enough, despite Oscar Mike and the rest of the Mikes being standard issue, one of Whiskey Foxtrot's lore challenges suggest that there's a bit of a clone degeneration going on. In a letter to Oscar Mike, Whiskey states to him that he was cloned from an idiot and somehow he was made stupider in the process. This is further highlighted in a particular instance in Oscar Mike's DLC Story Operation. Due to being somewhat dumbasses, Whiskey is put in an awkward spot wherein he has to give TheTalk to the Mikes when they ask him what exactly he and Deande [[GettingCrapPastTheRadar do during all those times they spend together]]. Even General Mike who is [[ScrewYourself married to]] Rachael Mike is completely naive on such matters.

* {{Adorkable}}: A number of her lines that can pop up in The Saboteur mission has her being extremely giddy on being on an away mission.

* TheLastOfTheseIsNotLikeTheOthers: Whereas the majority of the Peacekeeper Battleborn are modern military themed soldiers that primarily favor firearms, Galilea is a knight that uses melee weapons and dark powers. Indeed, her kit (LifeDrain, Melee weaponry, Dark theme) are more similar to those of a ''Jennerit'' Battleborn.

* BiTheWay: Seemingly, given the entries for both "DoesThisRemindYouOfAnything" and "HaveIMentionedIAmHeterosexualToday."

Ernest is a Peacekeepers Defender.
