* MakeMyMonsterGrow: Even before it bonded Ymir it, at the very least, had the ability to alter biological life to make it grow bigger, judging by the fact that the tree it lived under was absolutely gigantic when Ymir found it.

* ThisMeansWar: The existence of the Coordinate is considered an inherent threat to humanity, and it's the main reason for all the hostilities related to Eldia, Marley and the world at large.
* TopHeavyGuy: Inverted with the First King's Titan form, which is a bottom heavy guy. It's legs are very strong and muscular but it's arm are scrawny, and it's chest has exposed ribs.

* PhysicalGod: Anyone who possesses the power of the Founding Titan is for all intents and purposes, a deity. [[spoiler: Only two people are known to have used the Founding Titan to it's maximum potential: the original user of the power Ymir Fritz, and the protagonist Eren Yeager.]]

** According to Rod Reiss (in reference to the First King, a holder of the Progenitor), only the members of the Eldian Royal Family can use the power to its full extent. As shown later, even partial use of the power requires direct contact with a Royal and its extent is limited [[note]] For the record, Eren was able to manipulate Titans due to his physical contact with the Smiling Titan, the Mindless Titan form of Dina Fritz, a member of the royal family, and it extended to mere moments after when Eren was fleeing and directed the same Titans against Reiner and Bertolt; by the time came to deal with Rod Reiss' Titan form weeks after, the effect had worn away and Eren was unable to use the powers against it. It so happens that contact with this Titan was impossible at the time due to it spewing fire like a furnace, so even if Eren had been aware of the contact rule, he would have been unable anyway. Eren later realizes that contact with a royal Titan or shifter is the only way he can get full access to the Coordinate power of the Royal Family, but decides to keep this information to himself for fear of Historia's safety[[/note]]. [[spoiler: Later, Eren uses the Paths to convince Ymir to be free, releasing the restraints on a non-royal and successfully gains full power of the Founding Titan, though he still needs to be in contact with Zeke to utilize it.]]

* SuperStrength: Even for a Titan of its size, it's much stronger than usual; Eren is able to carry a gigantic boulder several times larger than he is and use it to seal the broken gate in Trost. Similarly, Kruger could lift a large ship over his shoulders and break it in half effortlessly.

* VillainousRescue: Subverted. It slays another Titan that was about to eat Mikasa, and everyone believes it to be this trope. However, once they realize the Titan is Eren it all makes sense.

* SelfHarm: It hits so hard it tends to damage its own limbs, [[{{Determinator}} not that it keeps him down for long]].

* SuperpowerLottery: It's curious that Eren ended up inheriting a Titan Power that was perfect for hand-to-hand combat, his own specialty as noted by Shadis during training. While by no means a bad soldier, Eren's strengths were not deemed to be suited for Titan combat, that is, until he found himself on a Titan body. [[spoiler: This comes to make sense much, ''much'' later, as Eren is revealed to have used the Titan's unique ability to see into the future to subtly (or not so subtly in the case of of his father) influence his predecesors to act in a way that would one day result in him inheriting this Titan in the first place- making his apparent luck in receiving the Attack Titan a Subverted Trope.]].
* StoutStrength: Grisha's version had this body type in contrast to the Erens' [[HeroicBuild heroic builds]].
* ThermalDissonance: All known Titans are known to have [[MyBloodRunsHot really high body temperatures]], and the "Rogue" Titan is no different. However, when Eren partially transforms in order to [[MundaneUtility pick up a spoon from the ground]] it was remarked upon by Hange how the shoulder was burning hot, but the spoon was not deformed by the heat in any way.

* MoreThanMindControl: It's implied that the goals of the Attack Titan power supersede the holder's own will, as it leads some of its owners astray from their initial goals (as shown with Eren Kruger, who became a jaded torturer, and Eren Yeager, who became a dispassionate and calculating individual). One thing that can be surmised from the Attack Titan is that, while it's a relentless seeker of freedom, ''[[GoodIsNotNice it's not a pursuant of peace by any measure]]''.

* {{Irony}}: The Attack Titan is seen as a symbol of "freedom", embodying the RebelliousSpirit of the people of Eldia that will relentlessly pursue freedom. [[spoiler:It's bearers however are all subject to ''Eren's'' will, being forced to act in a way that ensures Eren's future goal of enacting the "Rumbling" comes to pass, Eren effectively stripping them of ''their'' freedom in the name of pursuing his ''own'' freedom, when even he is just as much a slave to his own future self's desires, making the bearers of the Attack Titan the least free of all.]]

* BigDamnHeroes: This Titan gets two major moments to shine that prove instrumental in the series final arc.
