[[folder:Brotherhood Multiplayer Personas]]
!!The Barber (Baltasar de Silva)
[[quoteright:235:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/barber_-_tv_tropes_4524.png]]

Hiding behind the guise of a barber, Baltasar de Silva, Cesare's master spy, would secretly study the Assassins' techniques and equipment, in the hopes of using their own skills against them. He was not the combative type, instead preferring to use traps or hired help to defeat enemies.

For tropes related to The Barber's canon identity, see [[Characters/AssassinsCreedIITheRomanTemplars The Roman Templars page]].
----
%% * DangerouslyCloseShave
%% * DarkIsEvil: Certainly applies if you've chosen the black dye for his vest.
* ImprobableWeaponUser: With a razor as a weapon, [[SlashedThroat slitting your targets' throats]] is the only option.

!!The Blacksmith (Auguste Oberlin)
[[quoteright:235:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/blacksmith_-_tv_tropes_4297.png]]

Auguste Oberlin was the personal blacksmith of Cesare Borgia, crafting weapons for most of Cesare's agents, as well as more ambitious designs. He was also responsible for the creation and distribution of Borgia propaganda throughout Rome.

For tropes related to The Blacksmith's canon identity, see [[Characters/AssassinsCreedIITheRomanTemplars The Roman Templars page]].
----
%% * {{Acrofatic}}: He's a bit plump to be clambering up walls so easily...
%% ** BadassBeard [=/=] BeardOfEvil: Once he gets his ''superior'' gear, some braids are added in his beard.
%% ** BadassMustache
%% * DarkIsEvil: Again, when the black dye is selected.
%% * DropTheHammer: His WeaponOfChoice and boy, is it brutal.
%% * ShouldersOfDoom: A pretty minor version, but he gets these in his ''elite'' gear.
* WrestlerInAllOfUs: You can have him execute a backbreaker in one of his high profile kill animations.

!!The Captain (Donato Mancini)
[[quoteright:235:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/captain_-_tv_tropes_8623.png]]

Donato Mancini was a military captain of the Papal army under the Borgia and a very confident, capable horseman, better than even Cesare Borgia himself. While he appeared honourable, even he was not afraid to resort to underhanded methods or petty revenge.

For tropes related to The Captain's canon identity, see [[Characters/AssassinsCreedIITheRomanTemplars The Roman Templars page]].
----
* ArmorIsUseless: Despite wearing a full breastplate, he dies just as easily as the other multiplayer characters.
%% ** BadassBeard [=/=] BeardOfEvil
%% ** BadassMustache
%% * ShouldersOfDoom: Again, pretty minor version. One spaulder is added in his ''superior'' gear and another in his ''elite'' gear.

!!The Courtesan (Fiora Cavazza)
[[quoteright:305:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/courtesann_-_tv_tropes_2964.png]]

A former prostitute who was recruited by Cesare to serve as his underworld liaison, she turned against him after several years due to his abuse, threats, and constantly putting her into dangerous situations. She allied with the Assassins to dismantle his power base, which she initially had helped establish.

For tropes related to The Courtesan's canon identity, see [[Characters/AssassinsCreedIITheRomanTemplars The Roman Templars page]].
----
%% * ActionGirl
%% * DarkIsEvil: Her ''elite'' gear dyes a large portion of her outfit in pure black.
%% * HairDecorations: Her ''superior'' gear adds a floral headpiece.
%% * [[MalevolentMaskedMan Malevolent Masked Woman]]: Her ''superior'' gear features a Jubilee mask.
%% * [[PaperFanOfDoom Metal Fan Of Doom]]: The [[SlashedThroat throat slit]] is the preferred method of killing with it.
* TooManyBelts: They seem to grow in amount as her gear progresses.

!!The Dama Rossa
[[quoteright:235:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/dama_rossa_-_tv_tropes_6090.png]]

->''"Alhambra. A pearl set amidst the diamonds of Spain."''

A mysterious woman, presumably afiliated with the Templar Order, that operated under the alias of the Dama Rossa. A vengeful spirit, she would spread malicious rumours to make her own work easier.
----
%% * AbsoluteCleavage: Her undershirt is removed in her ''elite'' gear.
%% * ActionGirl [=/=] DarkActionGirl
* DownloadableContent: Only available as a persona after a system update.
%% * EvilRedhead: Since she was most likely part of the Templar Order, one can only assume she was this.
%% * FemmeFatale: What her appearance suggests, what with being [[HellBentForLeather clad in tight leather]] while seductively swaying her hips as she walks. Her ''elite'' gear leaves even less to the imagination...
%% * ImprobableWeaponUser: Uses a double-pronged ''hair pin'', of all things, to stab people.
%% * LoveMakesYouEvil: She is stated to be a "scorned lover" and a "vengeful spirit".
%% * MsFanservice
%% * OnlyKnownByTheirNickname:
* MeaningfulName: Dama Rossa (meaning "red lady" or "red-headed lady") most likely refers to her haircolour. Or her tendency to spill blood with a hairpin... Or something else entirely even.
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: She doesn't appear in the ''Brotherhood'' singleplayer, nor is she mentioned in ''Project Legacy''.
%% * WomanScorned

!!The Doctor (Malfatto)
[[quoteright:230:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/doctor_-_tv_tropes_3923.png]]

An infamous serial killer of courtesans, Malfatto was a doctor only in name, murdering many more than he saved. He was feared enough to catch the eye of Cesare Borgia, who wished to recruit the evil doctor into his personal army.

For tropes related to The Doctor's canon identity, see [[Characters/AssassinsCreedIITheRomanTemplars The Roman Templars page]].
----
%% * CoolMask: Gets cooler in his ''advanced'' gear.
%% ** MalevolentMaskedMan
%% ** WhiteMaskOfDoom
%% * PlagueDoctor
%% * DarkIsEvil: All of his optional colours are really dark.

!!The Engineer (Gaspar de la Croix)
[[quoteright:230:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/engineer_-_tv_tropes_7489.png]]

Gaspar de la Croix was a master engineer and marksman. He was frequently hired by Cesare Borgia to take down easy targets on the field at the start of a battle, as well as to create the mechanisms for various complicated weaponry.

For tropes related to The Engineer's canon identity, see [[Characters/AssassinsCreedIITheRomanTemplars The Roman Templars page]].
----
%% * BadassBeard [=/=] BeardOfEvil
%% * BadassMustache
%% * DarkIsEvil: His gear progression steadily turns various parts of his, originally orange, costume black.
* ImprobableWeaponUser: His specialty weapon is... a drafting compass.

!!The Executioner (Il Carnefice)
[[quoteright:235:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/executioner_-_tv_tropes_6579.png]]

An executioner that was active in Rome, Il Carnefice worked under the direct employment of Cesare Borgia, often receiving instructions or execution warrants through Fiora Cavazza. He would perform his work with great enthusiasm and brutality, often displaying severed limbs to the audience.

For tropes related to The Executioner's canon identity, see [[Characters/AssassinsCreedIITheRomanTemplars The Roman Templars page]].
----
* AnAxeToGrind: A hand axe with Templar insignia. In the singleplayer, it's a regular Bearded Axe.
* BadassMustache: His concept art depicts him with one, but in the game, he's clean-shaven.
%% * DarkIsEvil: Parts of his costume are dyed black as his gear progresses, culminating with the ''elite'' gear switching out the white apron for a black one that's styled with Templar crosses. Additionally, there's also a black dye.
%% * ObviouslyEvil: ''Especially'' his ''elite'' gear.
* WrestlerInAllOfUs: One of his kill animations is an inverted Death Valley driver.

!!The Footpad (Lanz)
[[quoteright:235:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/footpad_-_tv_tropes_7091.png]]

A thief who lead the ''Cento Occhi'', Lanz turned to a life of crime after his wife suffered a miscarriage. After robbing a carriage belonging to the Borgia, he and his gang were forced into Cesare Borgia's service as payment deliverers.

For tropes related to The Footpad's canon identity, see [[Characters/AssassinsCreedIITheRomanTemplars The Roman Templars page]].
----
%% * BadassesWearBandanas: Which turns into a kind of cloth headdress in his ''elite'' gear.
%% * GoodOldFisticuffs: Seen in one of his low profile kill animations.
%% * MacGyvering
* KnifeNut: His weapon is a [[SinisterShiv shiv]] (he was originally supposed to have two), which is an umbrella term for all improvised weapons. His consists of a blade jammed into some wood, with some knuckle dusters attached to the handle with a cord of cloth.
%% * ScarfOfAssKicking: Merges with the aformentioned headress in the ''elite'' gear.

!!The Harlequin (Cahin)
[[quoteright:230:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/harlequin_-_tv_tropes_2328.png]]

One of Cesare Borgia's assassins, Cahin was a corrupt French nobleman that dressed as a harlequin. Together with his sister Caha, he would lure his victims to their deaths while putting on a show for them.

For tropes related to The Harlequin's canon identity, see [[Characters/AssassinsCreedIITheRomanTemplars The Roman Templars page]].
----

!!The Hellequin (Caha)
[[quoteright:230:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/hellequin_-_tv_tropes_7661.png]]

One of Cesare Borgia's assassins, Caha was a corrupt French noblewoman that dressed as a hellequin. Together with her brother Cahin, she would lure her victims to their deaths while putting on a show for them.

For tropes related to The Hellequin's canon identity, see [[Characters/AssassinsCreedIITheRomanTemplars The Roman Templars page]].
----
%% * CoolMask: Gets even more elaborate as her gear progresses.
* DownloadableContent: Only available as a persona through Uplay, costing 40 Uplay points.
%% * InTheHood: In her ''elite'' gear.
* NiceHat: Despite the fact that's it's called "somewhat silly" in her biography. In her ''elite'' costume, it evolves into full-blown headgear that comes with [[InTheHood a hood]], [[BadassCape a miniature cape]] and [[EverythingsSparklyWithJewelry additional jewelry.]]

!!The Knight (Verulo Gallo)
[[quoteright:349:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Knight_-_Concept_Art_6511.jpg]]

A knight that served the Templars, Verulo Gallo was famed for his prowess in battle. This made him extremely expensive to hire, with the price for his services rising with each successful skirmish.
----
* ArmorIsUseless: Plate armor cannot stop a bullet. Or a compass...
* TheBrute: Aside from this probably being his standard fighting style, his ''elite'' gear has him in similar attire (the helmet especially) as the Brutes that appeared in Assassin's Creed II.
* CoolSword: It's just a standard broadsword, but definitely one of the biggest among the personas.
* CoolHelmet: His default one is kinda neat; the visor, paired with the engraving on his helm, forms the Templar cross. In his ''elite'' gear, he trades it in for another helmet that has a [[DelinquentHair frickin' mohawk]] on it.
%% * DarkIsEvil: His armour gets noticeably darker in his ''superior'' gear.
* DownloadableContent: Only available as a persona after a system update.
* LightningBruiser: Despite the fact that he's wearing what looks to be a full set of heavy, bulky armour, Verulo Gallo can run around rooftops and clamber up walls with pretty much the same speed as the other multiplayer characters. Even if they're wearing much less than he is.
* [[MalevolentMaskedMen Malevolent Masked Man]]
%% ** TheFaceless
%% * TinTyrant
%% * TooManyBelts
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: He doesn't appear in the ''Brotherhood'' singleplayer, nor is he mentioned in ''Project Legacy''.

!!The Marquis (Charles de la Motte)
[[quoteright:240:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/marquis_-_tv_tropes_6692.png]]

A French marquis that commanded an army of mercenaries, Charles de la Motte was a very valuable ally to Cesare Borgia. He was invited to Rome to strengthen alliances and simultaneously work out a plan to lure out the Assassins.

For tropes related to The Marquis's canon identity, see [[Characters/AssassinsCreedIITheRomanTemplars The Roman Templars page]].
----
%% * ClassyCravat: Gains one in his ''elite'' gear.
%% * DarkIsEvil: Again, one of the optional dyes is black.
* DownloadableContent: Only available as a persona after a system update.
%% * HighCollarOfDoom: Is added to his costume in the ''elite'' gear.

!!The Mercenary (Rocco Tiepolo)
[[quoteright:305:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mercenary_-_tv_tropes_3880.png]]

A ''condottiero'' that collected warriors and prided himself on exotic tactics and mercenaries. Rocco Tiepolo would provide Cesare Borgia with a lot of his men, although he himself was not under their command.

For tropes related to The Mercenary's canon identity, see [[Characters/AssassinsCreedIITheRomanTemplars The Roman Templars page]].
----
%% * EverythingsSparklyWithJewelry: He gets a large silver medallion around his neck in his ''elite'' gear.

!!The Nobleman (Silvestro Sabbatini)
[[quoteright:240:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/nobleman_-_tv_tropes_3580.png]]

Silvestro Sabbatini was a Templar slave trader that claimed to be a nobleman, though he was little more than an infamous panderer, using any means necessary to ascend the social ladder. He was once punished for failing Cesare by having his left arm sliced off, though he later received a prosthetic as replacement for his lost limb.

For tropes related to The Nobleman's canon identity, see [[Characters/AssassinsCreedIITheRomanTemplars The Roman Templars page]].
----
%% * BadassBeard
%% * BadassCape
%% * BadassMustache
%% * DarkIsEvil: His default gear combined with the black dye makes for a great example of this.
%% * FurAndLoathing: The fur coat on his shoulders. Becomes ermine in his ''elite'' gear.
%% * NiceHat: Gets an ornamental feather in his ''superior'' gear.

!!The Officer (Teodor Viscardi)
[[quoteright:345:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/officer_-_tv_tropes_2662.png]]

One of Cesare Borgia's henchmen, very little is known about Teodor Viscardi, with few having seen him and even fewer having been left alive to tell about it. Armed with his trusty epieu, he carries out his master's orders without question.
----
%% * AuthorityEqualsAsskicking
%% * BadassLongcoat
* BladeOnAStick: Not entirely accurate, but comes the closest out of all weapon tropes. His WeaponOfChoice is an epieu, which resembles a spear but is lighter, shorter and easier to maneuver. The blade itself can retract and extend on command.
* DownloadableContent: Only available as a persona through pre-ordering certain editions, or after a system update.
* FingerlessGloves: Concept art shows he was going to have these once you'd acquired his ''elite'' gear, but for some reason they weren't implemented into the final game.
%% * ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice: What usually happens to his victims.
%% * KnifeNut: Was originally going to have throwing knives as his signature weapon.
%% * LanternJawOfJustice
%% * NiceHat: He gets a beret in his ''elite'' gear, a freakin' beret.
%% * ThePoliticalOfficer: What he most likely was for Cesare Borgia.
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: His only appearance is a cameo in Fiora's memory of Donato Mancini; ''Project Legacy'' doesn't mention him again, nor does he appear in ''Brotherhood'' single-player.

!!The Pariah (Ilaro Lombardi)

A Templar who barely survived an Assassin attack, his face is now badly scarred and he lives in constant fear of another attack.
----
%% * [[MalevolentMaskedMen Malevolent Masked Man]]
%% ** WhiteMaskOfDoom
%% * NiceHat
%% * TriggerHappy: Wields what appears to be a captive bolt pistol.
* TwoFaced: His mask hides a disfigurement caused by a failed attempt at his life by an Assassin.
* WholeCostumeReference: Appears very similar to a target Ezio assassinates with a hidden gun in the cinematic trailer of ''Assassin's Creed II''.
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: He never appears in ''Brotherhood'' or ''Project Legacy''.

!!The Priest (Brother Ristoro)

A corrupt priest who serves the Templars by providing forged letters of condemnation or forgiveness to them.

For tropes related to The Priest's canon identity, see [[Characters/AssassinsCreedIITheRomanTemplars The Roman Templars page]].
----

!!The Prowler (Il Lupo)

An Templar assassin used by Cesare, he worked with Fiora Cavazza and Baltasar de Silva in studying the Assassin Order and began using their own techniques to hunt them.

For tropes related to The Prowler's canon identity, see [[Characters/AssassinsCreedIITheRomanTemplars The Roman Templars page]].
----

!!The Smuggler (Lia De Russo)

A Templar agent who provides the Order with ancient relics and artifacts, often killing those in possesion of them.

For tropes related to The Smuggler's canon identity, see [[Characters/AssassinsCreedIITheRomanTemplars The Roman Templars page]].
----
%% * BadassCape
%% * MagicSkirt

!!The Thief (Faustina Collari)

A thief who used to work with her brother, until he died under unknown circumstances.
----
%% * ImprobableWeaponUser: Wields half of a scissor.
%% * MyGreatestFailure: She's never forgotten the day she broke her promise with her brother.
%% * RagsToRiches: Her more advanced costumes show this progression.
* NiceHat: Her last outfit sports a hat that would impress [[Series/{{Firefly}} Two-Fry]].
* SiblingTeam: Formerly with her brother under a mutual protection oath, which was somehow broken.
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: She doesn't appear in either ''Brotherhood'' single-player or ''Project Legacy''.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Revelations Multiplayer Personas]]
!!Tropes in general
* BladeBelowTheShoulder: All characters have hidden blades for the more stealthy kills, which, with levelling, can be turned into a pike or small katar.
* HardHead: One of the advanced stun moves has your character headbutt their pursuer, which is all fine and dandy in theory, but probably isn't very pleasant when said pursuer is wearing a helmet (e.g. the Crusader, the Gladiator, the Knight,...).
* IShallTauntYou: They also all have unique taunts that can be used at any time during a match, and are necessary to earn certain achievements.
* LeParkour: Easily just as good at this as Ezio himself (even when it doesn't make all that much sense).
* SwordAndGun: When the sword-wielding characters have the Hidden Gun as one of their abilities.

!!The Bombardier (Kadir)
[[quoteright:255:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Bombardier_-_Concept_Art_3018.jpg]]

->''"Little mouse."''

A member of the Ottoman artillery corps, but has secret ties to the Qizilbash, a rebellious group of anti-Ottoman dissidents. He provides the Templars with information and weapons in exchange for money and power.
----
%% * BadassBeard [=/=] BeardOfEvil
%% * BadassMustache
%% * DropTheHammer: Uses a mace as his standard weapon.
%% * KnifeNut: One of his belts has a permanent supply of Throwing Knives, even if you don't have said ability selected.
* KnuckleCracking: His promotional render has him engaging in this activity.
%% * TheMole: As stated above.
%% * NiceHat: Can wear two kinds of turbans, or a more modern fez.
%% * OnlyOneName
%% * PerpetualFrowner
%% * SinisterScimitar: One of his alternate weapons.
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: Despite being part of the original multiplayer character ensemble, Kadir does not make an appearance in the singleplayer storyline.

!!The Brigand (Samilia Khadim)
[[quoteright:215:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Brigand_-_Concept_Art_2825.jpg]]

->''"Try harder."''

A noblewoman who joined the Templars and used her connections to destroy opponents and gather information and wealth for the Order. Despite her high status, Samila would gladly hunt down and kill traitors herself, having "a thirst for murder".
----
* AxCrazy: It is said that the only reason she continued to do her own dirty work was because of "an insatiable bloodlust".
%% * BadassCape: Has three varieties.
%% * BladeOnAStick: Her standard weapon.
* CharacterTics: She's rather fond of putting a finger to her lips apparently; this gesture appears in both her promotional render and the custom animation she has when she's chosen as your character.
%% * DarkActionGirl
%% * DownloadableContent
* {{Expy}}: Has a few things in common with the Smuggler from ''Brotherhood''. Both of them wear primarily green clothes and were known for trading in valuable items and secrets, which earned them wealth from the Templars. They also share a fair amount of bloodlust.
%% * GiantPoofySleeves: One of her customisations gives her quite a long variant of these.
%% * HairDecorations: Her headband.
%% * KnifeNut: One of her secondary weapons.
%% * MacheteMayhem: One of her secondary weapons.
* RoundhouseKick: Of sorts. One of her custom kill animations has her quickly force her spear up her target's throat, before she delivers a roundhouse kick to their face. This violently dislodges her weapon from her target's throat and sends them falling to the ground, dead.

!!The Champion (Georgios Kostas)
[[quoteright:236:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Champion_-_Concept_Art_5980.jpg]]

->''"I'll tear you apart!"''

Hailing from Greece, Georgios Kostas participated in tournaments of strength in Thrace, surprising people with his desire for fame and brutality. This attracted the attention of the Templars, who subsequently hired him with promises of more money and fame.

For tropes related to The Champion's canon identity, see [[Characters/AssassinsCreedIITheTemplars The Templars page]].
----
%% * AnAxeToGrind: His standard weapon.
%% * BadassBeard [=/=] BeardOfEvil: Three varieties of them.
%% * BadassCape
%% * CarpetOfVirility
%% * CoolSword: Has a longsword as one of his secondary weapons.
%% * DropTheHammer: One of his secondary weapons.
%% * PerpetualFrowner
%% * WalkingShirtlessScene: One of his customisations.
* WrestlerInAllOfUs: Both of his unique kill animations have him killing his target with his bare hands, instead of his [[AnAxeToGrind weapon]]. When coming from the front, in high profile, he even executes a backbreaker, which is a reference to The Blacksmith from ''Brotherhood''.

!!The Corsair (Eveline Guerra)
[[quoteright:260:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Corsair_-_Concept_Art_7253.jpg]]

->''"You have the grace of a drunk!"''

A highly successful pirate that associated with the Templars, Eveline Guerra and her crew would ambush ships that were returning from treasure-hunting expeditions, steal their loot and redirect it into the Templars' coffers.
----
%% * AnAxeToGrind: One of her secondary weapons.
* DarkActionGirl: Isn't called "The Terror of the Seas" for nothing!
%% ** BadassLongcoat: Comes in three flavors.
%% ** BadassesWearBandanas: If you picked the default headgear.
* DoesNotLikeShoes: Her default costume has her barefoot.
%% * DownloadableContent
%% * FingerlessGloves
* GroinAttack: One of her animations has her slam the butt of her axe into her target's stomach, but this will occasionally turn into this trope, when her target is positioned just slightly higher than she is.
* HardHead: The one multiplayer character who definitely has this, since one of her kill animations has her headbutt her target after she's stabbed them in the stomach. This trope only applies to the other multiplayer characters when the headbutt is selected as their stun move.
* HatesBeingTouched: "Don't dare touch me!"
%% * KnifeNut: One of her secondary weapons.
%% * TheLadette: Has some shades of this.
* ModestyShorts: Wears them under her standard outfit.
* NiceHat: Both of her hats can qualify as this, but especially the second one (it even has a feather!).
* PirateBooty: Eveline and her crew were known for ambushing ships that came back from treasure-hunting expeditions, "redirecting" their loot into the coffers of the Templars.
%% * PirateGirl
* ShesGotLegs: And, given her standard outfit, she's most likely aware of it too.
* {{Tomboy}}: Out of all the female multiplayer characters, Eveline is definitely the one that acts the least feminine. This is especially evident in her taunts; one of them even has her playfully slapping her butt as she makes fun of her target. Her voice also sounds a lot rougher than that of the other women.
** TomboyishPonytail: Has one as her second hairstyle.
* WeaponTwirling: She does this with her cutlass after killing someone.

!!The Count (Vlad Tepes)
[[quoteright:295:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Count_-_Concept_Art_6825.png]]

->''"Avert your eyes!"''

A Wallachian lord, Vlad Tepes, also known as "Vlad The Impaler", was a secret member of the Templar Order that fought against the Ottoman Empire. He was eventually defeated and killed by the Master Assassin, Ishak Pasha, in 1476.
----
%% * AnAxeToGrind: One of his secondary weapons.
%% * BadassBeard [=/=] BeardOfEvil
%% * BadassCape: Has three varieties.
* {{Dracula}}: Yes, indeed. They are based on the same historical character.
* DropTheHammer: His standard weapon. Although it's more an axe-like mace, rather than an actual hammer.
* FangsAreEvil: When Ezio opens his tomb to steal [[InfinityMinusOneSword Vlad Tepes' signature sword]], you get a brief glimpse of his skull... which has long, ''canine'' fangs. This ties in with the belief that he was a vampire.
* GroinAttack: One of his animations has him slam the butt of his axe into his target's stomach, but this will occasionally turn into this trope, when his target is positioned just slightly higher than he is.
* LargeHam: "Shall I have you impaled?!"
* NamesToRunAwayFromReallyFast: "Vlad ''The Impaler''". Think on that for a bit.
** Apparently said name comes from his preferred torture method. He would put lard or some kind of lubricant on a large wooden spike and place his victims atop said spike, [[AssShove with the tip between their legs]]. They would continue [[{{Squick}} sliding down the spike]] and eventually be impaled. And then he'd use their bodies to scare intruders away from his fortresses.
* NiceHat: The first two are helmets, with the last one being an actual hat.
* OffWithHisHead: When he was killed, the Ottoman Sultan wouldn't believe he was dead until his head was brought to him.
%% * PerpetualFrowner
%% * TooManyBelts

!!The Courtesan (Fabiola Cavazza)
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Courtesan_-_Concept_Art_9776.jpg]]

->''"You hideous creature!"''

Fabiola Cavazza was a [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin courtesan]] from the early 16th century that had connections with the Templar Order. Known for moving like "a whisper" among the sultry shadows of Constantinople, Fabiola could dispatch of targets with ease, thanks to her bladed fan.
----
%% * DarkActionGirl
* DarkIsEvil: Fabiola's courtesan outfit is a striking black, which makes it sort of similar to that - the ''elite'' gear version, at least - of her predecessor, Fiora Cavazza. The sinister-looking mask, however, is absent.
%% * FemmeFatale
%% * HairDecorations: The floral headpiece.
* KnifeNut: When closed, the particularly sharp tip of the fan allowed it to be used as a dagger of sorts.
* [[PaperFanOfDoom Metal Fan Of Doom]]: The [[SlashedThroat throat slit]] is the preferred method of killing with it.
%% * MsFanservice
%% * TheOldestProfession
* SuspiciouslySimilarSubstitute: The original Courtesan was quite popular, either because of her [[MsFanservice sexy appearance]] or her [[HookerWithAHeartOfGold sympathetic background]], which is most likely why they decided to bring her back in ''Revelations''. Since the in-game model of Fabiola is basically identical to that of Fiora, barring some minor differences, many pople assume this is still the Courtesan from ''Brotherhood'', even though they are different people.
%% * TooManyBelts
%% * ZettaiRyouki

!!The Crusader (Haras)
[[quoteright:265:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Crusader_-_Concept_Art_2473.jpg]]

->''"For the Cross!"''

An ambitious individual, Haras was originally an Assassin apprentice, but he got dissatisfied with his slow progression through the Assassin ranks, and defected to the Templars.

For tropes related to The Crusader's canon identity, see [[Characters/AssassinsCreedI The Assassins Creed I character page]].
----
* ArmorIsUseless: Despite wearing quite bulky armor, he goes down just as easily as any of the other multiplayer characters.
* BadassCape: It's a little shorter than most of the other multiplayer character, but still badass enough.
%% * CoolSword: His WeaponOfChoice.
%% * CoolHelmet: Has three of them.
%% * DarkIsEvil: His default look has him dressed primarily in black.
%% * DownloadableContent
%% * DropTheHammer: One of his secondary weapons.
* FishOutOfTemporalWater: He is technically this in the multiplayer mode, since he's the only character from the Crusades-era, whereas all of the other characters lived during the Renaissance period.
* LightningBruiser: Despite the fact that he's wearing what looks to be a full set of heavy, bulky armour, Haras can run around rooftops and clamber up walls with pretty much the same speed as the other multiplayer characters. Even if they're wearing much less than he is.

!!The Deacon (Cyril of Rhodes)
[[quoteright:265:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Deacon_-_Concept_Art_8059.jpg]]

->''"What shame you must feel."''

A disgraced member of the Eastern Orthodox Church, Cyril plots to kill the Patriarch of Constantinople in revenge for being publicly humiliated. He uses what authority he has left in the church to advance Templar goals.

A cousin of the Sultan of the Sennar Sultanate, Dunqas was driven from his homeland and became estranged from his family. Upon learning of the Templar philosophy, he whole-heartedly embraced the Order, naming himself "The Guardian of the Truth".

!!The Gladiator (Anacletos)
[[quoteright:285:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Gladiator_-_Concept_Art_8737.jpg]]

->''"No challenge!"''

An orphan that was sold into slavery and eventually became a gladiator, Anacletos' emerging talents were soon noticed by the Templars and they offered him a place among their order. Gladly accepting, he would, from then on, hunt his targets with dedication and ferocity.

[[quoteright:349:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Knight_-_Concept_Art_6511.jpg]]

[[quoteright:239:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Privateer_-_Concept_Art_8598.jpg]]

!!The Renegade (Shahkulu)

A relentless individual, Shahkulu was left an orphan after an Ottoman ambush destroyed his tribe. As a youth, he came in contact with the Templar Order, which he quickly joined. His hatred of the Ottoman Turks was surpassed only by his fierce determination to eliminate all opposition of the Templar's ideology.

[[quoteright:240:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Vanguard_-_Concept_Art_7149.jpg]]

->''"I'm doing you a favour."''

A [[UsefulNotes/{{Cossacks}} Cossack]] from Odessa, she joined the Templars after they offered her a chance to strike back at the advancing Ottoman Empire, exchanging loyalty for wealth and power. She seemed to have primarily been an information gatherer, spying on the enemy, though she obviously knew her way around a weapon as well.

That, and it allowed her to strike right at the heart of the Ottoman Empire, something which her original occupation did not allow.

!!The Vizier (Damat Ali Pasha)
[[quoteright:230:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Vizier_-_Concept_Art_1791.jpg]]

->''"Away, vermin!"''

Initially a loyal servant of Sultan Bayezid II, Damat Ali Pasha turned to the Templar Order after the Sultan's ambition to conquer the world subsided. He sought to deliver the people into the arms of his order, so that order and glory could be brought to a world of chaos.

For tropes related to The Vizier's canon identity, see [[Characters/AssassinsCreedIITheTemplars The Templars page]].
----
%% * BadassBeard [=/=] BeardOfEvil: One of them is a goatee that's kind of similar to Ezio's.
%% * BadassMustache
%% * BladeOnAStick: One of his secondary weapons.
* DualWielding: An interesting example, since the Vizier does not actually wield two swords. However, when you have him equipped with his speciality weapon, a sword, one of his kill animations has him slashing his target across the back with both the blade ''and the sheath'' in a kind of X-formation.
%% * NiceHat: His helmets.
* PerpetualFrowner: Like most male multiplayer characters, Damat Ali Pasha's default expression is a nasty scowl.
* RealMenWearPink: Whereas the other male characters usually have access to dyes such as green, brown or dark blue, Damat Ali Pasha does not only have purplish-blue as his default colour, but also ''pink'' as an optional one. Luckily, this is compensated by the last option, which has him in [[DarkIsEvil pure black]].

%% * TriggerHappy: Wields what appears to be a captive bolt pistol.

!!The Prowler (Il Lupo)

An Templar assassin used by Cesare, he worked with Fiora Cavazza and Baltasar de Silva in studying the Assassin Order and began using their own techniques to hunt them.

->''"Little mouse."''

A member of the Ottoman artillery corps, but has secret ties to the Qizilbash, a rebellious group of anti-Ottoman dissidents. He provides the Templars with information and weapons in exchange for money and power.

%% * OnlyOneName
%% * PerpetualFrowner

!!The Brigand (Samilia Khadim)
[[quoteright:215:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Brigand_-_Concept_Art_2825.jpg]]

->''"Try harder."''

->''"I'll tear you apart!"''

%% * DropTheHammer: One of his secondary weapons.
%% * PerpetualFrowner
%% * WalkingShirtlessScene: One of his customisations.

!!The Corsair (Eveline Guerra)
[[quoteright:260:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Corsair_-_Concept_Art_7253.jpg]]

->''"Avert your eyes!"''

!!The Courtesan (Fabiola Cavazza)
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Courtesan_-_Concept_Art_9776.jpg]]

->''"You hideous creature!"''

%% * FemmeFatale
%% * HairDecorations: The floral headpiece.
* KnifeNut: When closed, the particularly sharp tip of the fan allowed it to be used as a dagger of sorts.

%% * MsFanservice
%% * TheOldestProfession

Since the in-game model of Fabiola is basically identical to that of Fiora, barring some minor differences, many pople assume this is still the Courtesan from ''Brotherhood'', even though they are different people.

!!The Crusader (Haras)
[[quoteright:265:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Crusader_-_Concept_Art_2473.jpg]]

A cousin of the Sultan of the Sennar Sultanate, Dunqas was driven from his homeland and became estranged from his family. Upon learning of the Templar philosophy, he whole-heartedly embraced the Order, naming himself "The Guardian of the Truth".

For tropes related to The Guardian's canon identity, see [[Characters/AssassinsCreedIITheTemplars The Templars page]].

* WalkingShirtlessScene: Maybe a little less obvious than say, one of the Champion's customisations, but definitely counts. Whether it's a long-sleeved or a short-sleeved shirt, Odai Dunqas seems determined to show off his impressive pectorals.

!!The Gladiator (Anacletos)
[[quoteright:285:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Gladiator_-_Concept_Art_8737.jpg]]

->''"No challenge!"''

An orphan that was sold into slavery and eventually became a gladiator, Anacletos' emerging talents were soon noticed by the Templars and they offered him a place among their order. Gladly accepting, he would, from then on, hunt his targets with dedication and ferocity.
----
%% * AnAxeToGrind: One of his secondary weapons.

[[quoteright:349:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Knight_-_Concept_Art_6511.jpg]]

!!The Privateer (Blaise Legros)
[[quoteright:239:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Privateer_-_Concept_Art_8598.jpg]]

!!The Renegade (Shahkulu)

A relentless individual, Shahkulu was left an orphan after an Ottoman ambush destroyed his tribe. As a youth, he came in contact with the Templar Order, which he quickly joined. A wealthy Byzantine, Lysistrata lived a life of luxury and nonchalance. She was schooled in the arts by the Templars, and in exchange she would use her "seductive charisma" on Ottoman officials and visiting monarchs.

* ApologeticAttacker: Apologizes to Fiora Cavazza, the Courtesan, before unveiling his trap.
* BadassMustache
* BoobyTrap: He's shown to have a bit of a fondness for these. When Fiora leads the Assassins to his actual hideout, they are first confronted with a tripwire bomb in the doorway and once they're inside, they discover the place is loaded with an abrasive powder. Baltasar sets fire to it, intending to burn the place down while they're inside, but Fiora and the Assassins manage to escape unharmed.
* CaptainErsatz: SweeneyTodd in an Italian Renaissance coating.

* TheDragon: One of Cesare's, serving as his master spy.
* ILied: After the "[[HeelFaceTurn reformed]]" Fiora is lured towards an abandoned warehouse with promises of a better deal, Baltasar engages in some casual conversation before he calls out a squad of arquebusiers to kill her. [[spoiler:[[BigDamnHeroes He didn't expect the Assassins to have their own ambush team waiting too]].]]

* [[KillItWithFire Kill Them with Fire]]: What he attempts to do once Fiora and the Assassins are inside his hideout. It doesn't work.
* OutGambitted: By the Assassins, obviously.[[spoiler: He probably hadn't expected them to follow Fiora to the warehouse.]]

For tropes related to The Blacksmith's canon identity, see [[Characters/AssassinsCreedIITheRomanTemplars The Roman Templars page]].

* AnAxeToGrind: Auguste Oberlin wields a Bearded Axe in the singleplayer mission, instead of his regular hammer.

* TheBlacksmith: Naturally.

* DomesticAbuse: His horrible treatment of his wife, along with his alliance to the Borgia, is what provokes Ezio into luring him out (by destroying his propaganda posters) [[spoiler:and then killing him.]]

* EvilRedhead
* FatBastard
* FashionableAsymmetry: Thanks to the gauntlet he's wearing.
* GeniusBruiser: He is revealed to be quite attentive to detail. Also an excellent craftman and mechanical designer.
* HiddenDepths: As stated above, when Fiora Cavazza first meets him, she is more than a little surprised that beneath his brutish appearance lies an intelligent and cultured man that is very dedicated towards his work. He was also an artist, designing intricate propaganda for the Borgia.

* CoolSword: It's pretty fancy.
* HonorBeforeReason: Wouldn't take a bribe to throw a horse race to Cesare, though it may have been arrogance rather than honor.
** More likely arrogance, as Mancini ended up vandalizing the selling stall of Rocco, a rider who did beat him, and then wanted him to report to the Circus Maximus (''Circo Massimo'') to be cut down. When Ezio arrives at the ''Circo Massimo'', Mancini is on his horse wondering where "Rocco" is.
* {{Hypocrite}}: The above is an example of this; while he claims to Fiora Cavazza that the winner will win and should not be begrudged because of that, he's obviously vengeful when he himself is beaten by someone like Rocco. Even his biography jokingly hints at this, stating that he "remains a distinguished and refined character, respecting the code of honour. Unfortunately, those he challenges to a duel by Sword [[TryingToCatchMeFightingDirty never get the chance to count to three."]]
* KnifeNut: He has a parrying dagger along with his rapier, but is never shown using it.
* NobodyCallsMeChicken: Took a severe beating from the Officer for winning the race against Cesare on principle.

->''"I am done with Cesare. Done with the mad people who surround him."''

For tropes related to The Courtesan's canon identity, see [[Characters/AssassinsCreedIITheRomanTemplars The Roman Templars page]].

* BiTheWay: Willingly services a female customer in ''Project Legacy''.

* TheDragon: She was one of Cesare's Dragons, and his main connection to his "underworld" allies.
* FemmeFatale

* HeelFaceTurn: After being pushed a little too far by Cesare (in terms of who she had to put up with), Malfatto being the last straw, she decided to cut her losses and join the Assassins, providing them with details on Cesare's other agents.
** [[spoiler:Due to this, she tries to cover her ass -- a glorious ass it is -- and kill off Il Lupo and Baltasar because they (if somehow taken alive or otherwise talking) could reveal to the Assassins the extent to which she'd helped Cesare. Later, to prove her devotion to the Assassins, she tries to steal the Apple of Eden from Borgia custody. She fails.]]
* HeroOfAnotherStory: In ''Project Legacy''. The "Rome" memory set's first chapter is about her memories.
* HookerWithAHeartOfGold: [[SubvertedTrope Subverted]]. Cavazza had quite the mean streak and is implied to regret little of what she's done for Cesare.
* InTheBack: To illustrate the above, she slashed [[spoiler: Il Lupo across the back with her poison-tipped fan, knowing she couldn't beat him in a fight.]]
* LeftHanging: Her last appearance [[spoiler: is immobilized, at the feet of a very pissed Cesare Borgia, after she tried to steal the Apple of Eden]]. Given that it's not her memory we see this in, but [[spoiler: Cesare's son Giovanni]]'s, it's likely it didn't [[AttemptedRape end]] well [[FateWorseThanDeath for her]].

* MsFanservice
* OnlyInItForTheMoney [=/=] PunchClockVillain: That's one way of looking at her characterization. Her change of heart - going so far as to join the Assassins, the Templars' sworn enemies - appears to suggest that Fiora did not really care about Templar ideals, and was only part of the organization for the benefits (power, money, etc.) it brought her. Once working for them proved to be more trouble than it was worth it (Cesare sending her to meet with Malfatto being the final straw), she allied herself with the Assassins because she knew they were the group that could better protect her from the Templars.

* TheFaceless
* ImprobableWeaponUser: Uses a syringe full of poison that he jabs into his targets.
* KarmicDeath: Possibly, if he's killed by a female Assassin recruit.
* MeaningfulName: Malfatto is probably derived from the verb ''"malfattore"'', which translates to "doing evil deeds".

For tropes related to The Engineer's canon identity, see [[Characters/AssassinsCreedIITheRomanTemplars The Roman Templars page]].

* AxCrazy: Described as a "haunted man", by Fiora, who meets him while he is still mostly sane, although he is, by then, already an unstable recluse. By the time Ezio finds him, he's finally snapped and has begun to fire at people indiscriminately.

* ColdSniper
* DarkAndTroubledPast: His history is never revealed, but he is clearly driven by remorse.

* InTheHood

* RapeIsASpecialKindOfEvil: Ezio learns of Il Carnefice when he finds a man crying over his executed wife, who Il Carnefice had raped and then hung. He can't bring her down from the gallows because he himself will be executed if he does so. Ezio goes after the bastard immediately.
* ThighHighBoots: A RareMaleExample. They seem to be straddling the line between socks and boots.

Whether the Harlequin in question is Cahin or not is debatable, but seeing as you must defeat him with your bare hands (killing him does not count towards the achievement, and that includes dropping him on water), it's possible that Ezio fights Cahin at six different places instead of fighting six different Harlequins.

When he's found challenging Italian knights to a duel with his, even if the match is rigged by assassins, their performance is described as so underwhelming, the match didn't need to be rigged to begin with. When he appears some time later harrassing Romans with his troops, the Assassins have an easy time killing them. Then he subverts the trope ''hard''. The whole thing was a move to draw them out of their hideouts where he could crush them with sheer force and firepower. It was a complete success.

* NoSell: A rather frightening and unique example within the series. [[spoiler: Being assassinated and then stabbed again, both times hard enough to send blood flying, just ''makes him laugh''. Even Ezio is [[OhCrap visibly shaken]]. He takes several more blows before ''finally'' going down in a regular fight.]]
* [[spoiler:NoKillLikeOverKill: He gets stabbed twice by Ezio, survives, and then finally goes down in a regular swordfight. Given his MadeOfIron status, Ezio forces his foot down on his face, just to make sure.]]

* AntiVillain

* BeatThemAtTheirOwnGame: Aside from the similarity in attire, Vali cel Tradat now uses the techniques he once learned from the Assassins against them, which makes it difficult to find him... at first.
* FaceHeelTurn: Formerly a loyal member of the Assassins, he felt betrayed after they made a truce with the Ottomans, who had humiliated his people, conquered Wallachia, his home country, and murdered his secret idol, Vlad Tepes. Understandably, the guy wasn't very pleased.
* {{Fanboy}}: He idolised the Count, Vlad Tepes.

* DoingItForTheArt: Apparently this is why she kills people. As if she were putting on a show.
* FemmeFatale: Heavy on the 'fatale' part.
* EverythingsSparklyWithJewelry: Not overly present on her other outfits, but her default costume really takes takes the cake. Really, her targets ought to hear her coming from a mile away, with her wearing all that frippery.

* [[StageNames Stage Name]]: "Lysistrata" is not her actual name, but comes from a famous play by Aristophanes.
* SmokeOut: Escapes Ezio and his apprentice the first time around, thanks to a well-timed Smoke Bomb, complete with OffscreenTeleportation.
* TooDumbToLive: After the apprentice's failed assassination of her, Lysistrata goes into hiding, knowing another brush with the assassins would probably end up fatal for her. However, her vanity gets the better of her, which causes her to participate in another play (she at least bothers to do so under another alias, but it doesn't fool the Assassins), making her a clean target for Ezio and the apprentice. Ezio [[LampshadeHanging lampshades]] this at the beginning of the mission.

[[folder:Brotherhood Multiplayer Personas]]
!!The Barber (Baltasar de Silva)
[[quoteright:235:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/barber_-_tv_tropes_4524.png]]

Hiding behind the guise of a barber, Baltasar de Silva, Cesare's master spy, would secretly study the Assassins' techniques and equipment, in the hopes of using their own skills against them. He was not the combative type, instead preferring to use traps or hired help to defeat enemies.
----
* ApologeticAttacker: Apologizes to Fiora Cavazza, the Courtesan, before unveiling his trap.
* BadassMustache
* DangerouslyCloseShave
* DarkIsEvil: Certainly applies if you've chosen the black dye for his vest.
* ImprobableWeaponUser: With a razor as a weapon, [[SlashedThroat slitting your targets' throats]] is the only option.
* SkunkStripe
* TheSpymaster

!!The Blacksmith (Auguste Oberlin)
[[quoteright:235:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/blacksmith_-_tv_tropes_4297.png]]

Auguste Oberlin was the personal blacksmith of Cesare Borgia, crafting weapons for most of Cesare's agents, as well as more ambitious designs. He was also responsible for the creation and distribution of Borgia propaganda throughout Rome.
----
* {{Acrofatic}}: He's a bit plump to be clambering up walls so easily...
* AnAxeToGrind: Auguste Oberlin wields a Bearded Axe in the singleplayer mission, instead of his regular hammer.
* {{Badass}}
** BadassBeard [=/=] BeardOfEvil: Once he gets his ''superior'' gear, some braids are added in his beard.
** BadassMustache
* TheBlacksmith: Naturally.
* DarkIsEvil: Again, when the black dye is selected.
* DomesticAbuse: His horrible treatment of his wife, along with his alliance to the Borgia, is what provokes Ezio into luring him out (by destroying his propaganda posters) [[spoiler:and then killing him.]]
* DropTheHammer: His WeaponOfChoice and boy, is it brutal.
* EvilRedhead
* FatBastard
* ShouldersOfDoom: A pretty minor version, but he gets these in his ''elite'' gear.
* WrestlerInAllOfUs: You can have him execute a backbreaker in one of his high profile kill animations.

!!The Captain (Donato Mancini)
[[quoteright:235:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/captain_-_tv_tropes_8623.png]]

Donato Mancini was a military captain of the Papal army under the Borgia and a very confident, capable horseman, better than even Cesare Borgia himself. While he appeared honourable, even he was not afraid to resort to underhanded methods or petty revenge.
----
* ArmorIsUseless: Despite wearing a full breastplate, he dies just as easily as his squishier opponents.
* {{Badass}}
** BadassBeard [=/=] BeardOfEvil
** BadassMustache
* CoolSword: It's pretty fancy.
* ShouldersOfDoom: Again, pretty minor version. One spaulder is added in his ''superior'' gear and another in his ''elite'' gear.

!!The Courtesan (Fiora Cavazza)
[[quoteright:305:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/courtesann_-_tv_tropes_2964.png]]

->''"I am done with Cesare. Done with the mad people who surround him."''

A former prostitute who was recruited by Cesare to serve as his underworld liaison, she turned against him after several years due to his abuse, threats, and constantly putting her into dangerous situations. She allied with the Assassins to dismantle his power base, which she initially had helped establish.
----
* ActionGirl
* BiTheWay: Willingly services a female customer in ''Project Legacy''.
* DarkIsEvil: Her ''elite'' gear dyes a large portion of her outfit in pure black.
* TheDragon: She was one of Cesare's Dragons, and his main connection to his "underworld" allies.
* FemmeFatale
* HairDecorations: Her ''superior'' gear adds a floral headpiece.
* [[MalevolentMaskedMan Malevolent Masked Woman]]: Her ''superior'' gear features a Jubilee mask.
* [[PaperFanOfDoom Metal Fan Of Doom]]: The [[SlashedThroat throat slit]] is the preferred method of killing with it.
* MsFanservice
* TooManyBelts: They seem to grow in amount as her gear progresses.
* ZettaiRyouki

!!The Dama Rossa
[[quoteright:235:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/dama_rossa_-_tv_tropes_6090.png]]

->''"Alhambra. A pearl set amidst the diamonds of Spain."''

A mysterious woman, presumably afiliated with the Templar Order, that operated under the alias of the Dama Rossa. A vengeful spirit, she would spread malicious rumours to make her own work easier.
----
* AbsoluteCleavage: Her undershirt is removed in her ''elite'' gear.
* ActionGirl [=/=] DarkActionGirl
* BritishAccents: The multiplayer trailer for ''The Da Vinci Disappearance'' is briefly narrated by a seductive, British-sounding voice as the Dama Rossa strolls into view (giving the viewers [[{{Fanservice}} a gratuitous shot of her behind]]). One could assume it's actually the Dama Rossa narrating.
* DownloadableContent: Only available as a persona after a system update.
* EvilRedhead: Since she was most likely part of the Templar Order, one can only assume she was this.
* FemmeFatale: What her appearance suggests, what with being [[HellBentForLeather clad in tight leather]] while seductively swaying her hips as she walks. Her ''elite'' gear leaves even less to the imagination...
* ImprobableWeaponUser: Uses a double-pronged ''hair pin'', of all things, to stab people.
* LoveMakesYouEvil: She is stated to be a "scorned lover" and a "vengeful spirit".
* MsFanservice
* OnlyKnownByTheirNickname:
** MeaningfulName: Dama Rossa (meaning "red lady" or "red-headed lady") most likely refers to her haircolour. Or her tendency to spill blood with a hairpin... Or something else entirely even.
* OperaGloves: And then she wears another pair of gloves ''over'' them.
* ThighHighBoots: Most likely to emphasize her [[ShesGotLegs lovely legs.]]
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: She doesn't appear in the ''Brotherhood'' singleplayer, nor is she mentioned in ''Project Legacy''.
* WomanScorned

!!The Doctor (Malfatto)
[[quoteright:230:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/doctor_-_tv_tropes_3923.png]]

An infamous serial killer of courtesans, Malfatto was a doctor only in name, murdering many more than he saved. He was feared enough to catch the eye of Cesare Borgia, who wished to recruit the evil doctor into his personal army.
----
* CaptainErsatz: Our JackTheRipper of the Italian Renaissance.
* CoolMask: Gets cooler in his ''advanced'' gear.
** MalevolentMaskedMan
** WhiteMaskOfDoom
* DarkIsEvil: All of his optional colours are really dark.
* DeadlyDoctor
* DirtyCoward: He drugs Fiora Cavazza in her sleep, only to seem to panic when she manages to get up and fight back (then again, she did manage to tear a large gash in his stomach). He also runs on sight from Ezio, but that's just being smart.
* TheFaceless
* NiceJobFixingItVillain: By assaulting her, he inadvertently begins Fiora Cavazza's turn against Cesare and the downfall of Cesare's crooked connections in Rome.
* SerialKiller
* SinisterShades
* WouldHitAGirl: [[DirtyCoward As long as they can't hit back]].

!!The Engineer (Gaspar de la Croix)
[[quoteright:230:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/engineer_-_tv_tropes_7489.png]]

Gaspar de la Croix was a master engineer and marksman. He was frequently hired by Cesare Borgia to take down easy targets on the field at the start of a battle, as well as to create the mechanisms for various complicated weaponry.
----
* AxCrazy: Described as a "haunted man", by Fiora, who meets him while he is still mostly sane, although he is, by then, already an unstable recluse. By the time Ezio finds him, he's finally snapped and has begun to fire at people indiscriminately.
* {{Badass}}
** BadassBeard [=/=] BeardOfEvil
** BadassMustache
* ColdSniper
* DarkAndTroubledPast: His history is never revealed, but he is clearly driven by remorse.
* DarkIsEvil: His gear progression steadily turns various parts of his, originally orange, costume black.
* TheEngineer: Obviously.
* FourEyesZeroSoul
** OpaqueLenses
* FrenchJerk
* GiantPoofySleeves: You can bet they are.
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: When he sees Ezio coming after him, he runs away while closing several gates, forcing Ezio to take alternative routes to keep up with him. Gaspar eventually ends at a cliffside and, having locked himself in, can only run around chaotically before Ezio assassinates him.
* ImprobableWeaponUser: His specialty weapon is... a drafting compass.
* [[MadScientist Mad Engineer]]
* MadMathematician: He is described as being obsessed with numbers and calculations.
* MeaningfulName: His surname, "de la Croix", is French for "of the cross", which neatly ties in with his Templar alliance.
* NiceHat: Looks a bit like a French beret, as if to perpetuate the stereotype.
* TriggerHappy
* SinisterShades

!!The Executioner (Il Carnefice)
[[quoteright:235:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/executioner_-_tv_tropes_6579.png]]

An executioner that was active in Rome, Il Carnefice worked under the direct employment of Cesare Borgia, often receiving instructions or execution warrants through Fiora Cavazza. He would perform his work with great enthusiasm and brutality, often displaying severed limbs to the audience.
----
* AnAxeToGrind: A hand axe with Templar insignia. In the singleplayer, it's a regular Bearded Axe.
* BadassMustache: His concept art depicts him with one, but in the game, he's clean-shaven.
* DarkIsEvil: Parts of his costume are dyed black as his gear progresses, culminating with the ''elite'' gear switching out the white apron for a black one that's styled with Templar crosses. Additionally, there's also a black dye.
* EveryoneCallsHimBarkeep: "Il Carnefice" is just Italian for "The Executioner".
* EvilHasABadSenseOfHumor: When Fiora Cavazza delivers him a list of people to kill from Cesare, he tells her that she is on the list. He then laughs and reassures her he can't even read.
* InTheHood
* [[MalevolentMaskedMen Malevolent Masked Man]]
* NamesToRunAwayFromReallyFast
* NeverLearnedToRead: He doesn't even read the execution warrants he gets...
* ObviouslyEvil: ''Especially'' his ''elite'' gear.
* WrestlerInAllOfUs: One of his kill animations is an inverted Death Valley driver.

!!The Footpad (Lanz)
[[quoteright:235:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/footpad_-_tv_tropes_7091.png]]

A thief who lead the ''Cento Occhi'', Lanz turned to a life of crime after his wife suffered a miscarriage. After robbing a carriage belonging to the Borgia, he and his gang were forced into Cesare Borgia's service as payment deliverers.
----
* AuthorityEqualsAsskicking: Leader of the ''Cento Occhi'' gang.
* BadassesWearBandanas: Which turns into a kind of cloth headdress in his ''elite'' gear.
* DespairEventHorizon: According to his wife, he became what he is now after his child was lost in miscarriage.
* DrivenToSuicide: His wife, by all the rumours surrounding her rogue husband. Ezio finds her and talks her out of it.
* GoodOldFisticuffs: Seen in one of his low profile kill animations.
* MacGyvering
** KnifeNut: His weapon is a [[SinisterShiv shiv]] (he was originally supposed to have two), which is an umbrella term for all improvised weapons. His consists of a blade jammed into some wood, with some knuckle dusters attached to the handle with a cord of cloth.
* OnlyOneName
* PoorCommunicationKills: Ezio is never told the full extent of his background, and believes he is simply a Templar killer who happened to lose his child. Similarly, Lanz's wife probably didn't expect Ezio to just go and kill her husband for his misdeeds.
* ScarfOfAssKicking: Merges with the aformentioned headress in the ''elite'' gear.
* ThievesGuild: The leader of one.

!!The Harlequin (Cahin)
[[quoteright:230:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/harlequin_-_tv_tropes_2328.png]]

One of Cesare Borgia's assassins, Cahin was a corrupt French nobleman that dressed as a harlequin. Together with his sister Caha, he would lure his victims to their deaths while putting on a show for them.
----
* AristocratsAreEvil: And also totally mad.
* DiedInYourArmsTonight: [[spoiler: Slips away while his sister cradles him, seconds before she too, is killed.]]
* DownloadableContent: Only available as a persona through pre-ordering certain editions, or after a system update.
* FrenchJerk
* ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice: [[spoiler: Although he is fast enough to keep up with them for at least a little bit, Cahin can't hope to match multiple assassins with two daggers and gets stabbed multiple times in the gut before going down.]]
* KnifeNut: Wields two rondel daggers.
* [[MalevolentMaskedMen Malevolent Masked Man]]
* MonsterClown: This guy could give SelfDemonstrating/TheJoker a run for his money.
* NiceHat: A typical jester's hat. Looks vaguely like [[FrenchJerk a croissant]] if you think about it...
* RunningGag / BigLippedAlligatorMoment: There's an achievement called "Clowning Around" that involves fighting a jester using The Harlequin's character model at six different locations. He'll be doing some acrobatics on the street, and once Ezio gets close enough, he'll engage him on a fist-fight out of nowhere. Whether the Harlequin in question is Cahin or not is debatable, but seeing as you must defeat him with your bare hands (killing him does not count towards the achievement, and that includes dropping him on water), it's possible that Ezio fights Cahin at six different places instead of fighting six different Harlequins.
* ProfessionalKiller
* SiblingTeam: With his sister, The Hellequin.
* ThemeNaming: With his sister. The phrase "cahin caha" means [[BigLippedAlligatorMoment "willy-nilly"]] in French.

!!The Hellequin (Caha)
[[quoteright:230:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/hellequin_-_tv_tropes_7661.png]]

One of Cesare Borgia's assassins, Caha was a corrupt French noblewoman that dressed as a hellequin. Together with her brother Cahin, she would lure her victims to their deaths while putting on a show for them.
----
* AluminumChristmasTrees: No, her title of "[[NamesToRunAwayFromReallyFast hellequin]]" isn't a play on the word "harlequin", substituting the "harl" with "hell". A hellequin was a real French performer that ''preceded'' the harlequin.
* AristocratsAreEvil: And also totally mad.
* CoolMask: Gets even more elaborate as her gear progresses.
* DarkActionGirl
* DownloadableContent: Only available as a persona through Uplay, costing 40 Uplay points.
* EmotionlessGirl: At least, according to her character model. Subverted when [[spoiler:Cahin is killed; she immediately loses all sense of self-preservation and fights her way to his body, removing his mask and [[DiedInYourArmsTonight cradling his body]] until an Assassin shoots her in the back of her head with a crossbow bolt.]]
* FrenchJerk
* InTheHood: In her ''elite'' gear.
* KnifeNut: Used two barbed daggers that she could hang off her costume.
* MonsterClown: A little more understated than her brother though.
* [[MalevolentMaskedMen Malevolent Masked Woman]]
* ProfessionalKiller
* SexyJester
* SiblingTeam: With her brother, The Harlequin.
* ThemeNaming: With his sister. The phrase "cahin caha" means [[BigLippedAlligatorMoment "willy-nilly"]] in French.
* ThighHighBoots: Gets these in her ''advanced'' gear.

!!The Knight (Verulo Gallo)
[[quoteright:349:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Knight_-_Concept_Art_6511.jpg]]

* DarkIsEvil: His armour gets noticeably darker in his ''superior'' gear.
* [[MalevolentMaskedMen Malevolent Masked Man]]
** TheFaceless
* TinTyrant
* TooManyBelts
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: He doesn't appear in the ''Brotherhood'' singleplayer, nor is he mentioned in ''Project Legacy''.

!!The Marquis (Charles de la Motte)
[[quoteright:240:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/marquis_-_tv_tropes_6692.png]]

A French marquis that commanded an army of mercenaries, Charles de la Motte was a very valuable ally to Cesare Borgia. He was invited to Rome to strengthen alliances and simultaneously work out a plan to lure out the Assassins.
----
* AristocratsAreEvil
* {{Badass}}
** BadassBeard [=/=] BeardOfEvil: It looks just like [[StarWars Obi-wan Kenobi's]].
** BadassMustache
* CheeseEatingSurrenderMonkey: Played straight at first. He appears as an arrogant jerkass who can't back up his assertions with proof.
* ClassyCravat: Gains one in his ''elite'' gear.
* DarkIsEvil: Again, one of the optional dyes is black.
* DownloadableContent: Only available as a persona after a system update.
* FrenchJerk
* HighCollarOfDoom: Is added to his costume in the ''elite'' gear.
* MeaningfulName: "De la Motte" is French for "of the mound", which, when combined with his royal title of marquis, could be interpreted as a play on words of the phrase "king of the hill".
* RoyalRapier
* SmallNameBigEgo: Has an unmatched blade to go with his unprecedented ego... or so he claims.

!!The Mercenary (Rocco Tiepolo)
[[quoteright:305:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mercenary_-_tv_tropes_3880.png]]

A ''condottiero'' that collected warriors and prided himself on exotic tactics and mercenaries. Rocco Tiepolo would provide Cesare Borgia with a lot of his men, although he himself was not under their command.
----
* AffablyEvil: Of all the strange and generally {{jerkass}} people Fiora meets as envoy for Cesare, she gets along with him the best, even dining and flirting with him.
* {{Badass}}
** [[BadassCape Badass Halfcape]]
** BadassMustache
* BolivianArmyEnding: Dies fighting against a dozen Assassins.
** FaceDeathWithDignity
** GoOutWithASmile: Fiora describes it as "the end he has fantasized".
* CaptainErsatz: He looks like, dresses like, and even acts like a less {{badass}}, more evil Mario Auditore.
* CoolSword: His WeaponOfChoice is a short sword that bears a bit of a resemblance to the Schiavona.
* EverythingsSparklyWithJewelry: He gets a large silver medallion around his neck in his ''elite'' gear.
* GiantPoofySleeves: In competition with the Engineer's for the biggest in the Brotherhood multiplayer.
* HiredGuns: What he sells.
* OnlyInItForTheMoney: His biography outright states money is his only motivation, having often double-crossed previous employers after having found a higher bidder. Like with most of the other multiplayer personas from Brotherhood, the Templar idealogy doesn't seem to mean much to him.
* WickedCultured: The man at least seems to enjoy his wine.

!!The Nobleman (Silvestro Sabbatini)
[[quoteright:240:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/nobleman_-_tv_tropes_3580.png]]

----
* AlliterativeName
* AristocratsAreEvil: Turns out to be partaking in human trafficking.
* ArtificialLimbs: Lost his left hand and forearm to Cesare due to an [[NoodleIncident unspecified]] [[YouHaveFailedMe failure involving a courtesan]], but the mere accidental mention of the prosthetic (delivered by Fiora Cavazza as "a second chance" from Cesare) [[BerserkButton is enough for him to decide to kill his wife]], despite her sincere apology.
* {{Badass}}
** BadassBeard
** BadassCape
** BadassMustache
* DarkIsEvil: His default gear combined with the black dye makes for a great example of this.
* EverythingsSparklyWithJewelry: He has a bit of a thing for 'the sparklies', most likely to further the illusion that he is noble. Initially, he is disappointed in the metal prosthetic offered by Cesare, because it wasn't quite jewel-encrusted enough. When Fiora offers to return it to Cesare, he changes his mind.
* FurAndLoathing: The fur coat on his shoulders. Becomes ermine in his ''elite'' gear.
* NiceHat: Gets an ornamental feather in his ''superior'' gear.
* NouveauRiche: The Courtesan implies he is this in ''Project Legacy'', and that he merely buys his way into social circles. Gives a bit of an ironic touch to his title, "the Nobleman".
* PrimalStance: He seems perfectly capable of standing upright, but seems to slink around a lot.

!!The Officer (Teodor Viscardi)
[[quoteright:345:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/officer_-_tv_tropes_2662.png]]

One of Cesare Borgia's henchmen, very little is known about Teodor Viscardi, with few having seen him and even fewer having been left alive to tell about it. Armed with his trusty epieu, he carries out his master's orders without question.
----
* AuthorityEqualsAsskicking
* BadassLongcoat
* ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice: What usually happens to his victims.
* KnifeNut: Was originally going to have throwing knives as his signature weapon.
* LanternJawOfJustice
* NiceHat: He gets a beret in his ''elite'' gear, a freakin' beret.
* ThePoliticalOfficer: What he most likely was for Cesare Borgia.

----
* [[MalevolentMaskedMen Malevolent Masked Man]]
** WhiteMaskOfDoom
* NiceHat
* TriggerHappy: Wields what appears to be a captive bolt pistol.

----
* BaldOfEvil
* {{Hypocrite}}: Besides his service to the Templars, he routinely visits whorehouses and has many other vices, breaking his religious vows.
* SinisterMinister: Poisoned two believers who became aware of and spoke out against his corruption.

!!The Prowler (Il Lupo)

An Templar assassin used by Cesare, he worked with Fiora Cavazza and Baltasar de Silva in studying the Assassin Order and began using their own techniques to hunt them.
----
* AnimalThemeNaming: Only known as "Il Lupo" (The Wolf).
* BadassCape
* BeatThemAtTheirOwnGame: Uses similar attire, weapons, and techniques to those of the Assassins...
** ButIReadABookAboutIt: All of which came from The Barber's notes on them from watching actual Assassins on the hunt.
* BladeBelowTheShoulder: His version is similar to the real-life katar.
* {{Expy}}: Similar in appearance, name, and profession as La Volpe.
* InTheHood
* KnownOnlyByTheirNickname
* ProfessionalKiller

!!The Smuggler (Lia De Russo)

A Templar agent who provides the Order with ancient relics and artifacts, often killing those in possesion of them.
----
* BadassCape
* BladeBelowTheShoulder: Actually winds up being more true to the Assassin's version of the weapon than Il Lupo's. Well, she ''is'' a smuggler, after all.
* DarkActionGirl
* InTheHood
* MagicSkirt
* PsychoticSmirk: She always seems to be smiling.

!!The Thief (Faustina Collari)

A thief who used to work with her brother, until he died under unknown circumstances.
----
* ImprobableWeaponUser: Wields half of a scissor.
* MyGreatestFailure: She's never forgotten the day she broke her promise with her brother.
* RagsToRiches: Her more advanced costumes show this progression.
** NiceHat: Her last outfit sports a hat that would impress [[{{Firefly}} Two-Fry]].

[[quoteright:255:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Bombardier_-_Concept_Art_3018.jpg]]

->''"Little mouse."''

A member of the Ottoman artillery corps, but has secret ties to the Qizilbash, a rebellious group of anti-Ottoman dissidents. He provides the Templars with information and weapons in exchange for money and power.
----
* {{Badass}}
** BadassBeard [=/=] BeardOfEvil
** BadassMustache
* DropTheHammer: Uses a mace as his standard weapon.
* KnifeNut: One of his belts has a permanent supply of Throwing Knives, even if you don't have said ability selected.
* KnuckleCracking: His promotional render has him engaging in this activity.
* TheMole: As stated above.
* NiceHat: Can wear two kinds of turbans, or a more modern fez.
* OnlyOneName
* PerpetualFrowner
* SinisterScimitar: One of his alternate weapons.
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: Despite being part of the original multiplayer character ensemble, Kadir does not make an appearance in the singleplayer storyline.

!!The Brigand (Samilia Khadim)
[[quoteright:215:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Brigand_-_Concept_Art_2825.jpg]]

->''"Try harder."''

* BadassCape: Has three varieties.
* BladeOnAStick: Her standard weapon.
* CharacterTics: She's rather fond of putting a finger to her lips apparently; this gesture appears in both her promotional render and the custom animation she has when she's chosen as your character.
* DarkActionGirl
* DownloadableContent
* {{Expy}}: Has a few things in common with the Smuggler from ''Brotherhood''. Both of them wear primarily green clothes and were known for trading in valuable items and secrets, which earned them wealth from the Templars. They also share a fair amount of bloodlust.
* GiantPoofySleeves: One of her customisations gives her quite a long variant of these.
* HairDecorations: Her headband.
* KnifeNut: One of her secondary weapons.
* MacheteMayhem: One of her secondary weapons.

[[quoteright:236:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Champion_-_Concept_Art_5980.jpg]]

->''"I'll tear you apart!"''

Hailing from Greece, Georgios Kostas participated in tournaments of strength in Thrace, surprising people with his desire for fame and brutality. This attracted the attention of the Templars, who subsequently hired him with promises of more money and fame.
----
* AnAxeToGrind: His standard weapon.
* {{Badass}}
** BadassBeard [=/=] BeardOfEvil: Three varieties of them.
** BadassCape
* BaldOfEvil
* TheBrute
* CarpetOfVirility
* CoolSword: Has a longsword as one of his secondary weapons.
* DeathFromAbove: How one of Ezio's apprentices does away with him.
* DropTheHammer: One of his secondary weapons.
* GlorySeeker: Had a craving for global recognition, which is what eventually lead the Templars to him.
* PerpetualFrowner
* WalkingShirtlessScene: One of his customisations.

[[quoteright:260:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Corsair_-_Concept_Art_7253.jpg]]

->''"You have the grace of a drunk!"''

A highly successful pirate that associated with the Templars, Eveline Guerra and her crew would ambush ships that were returning from treasure-hunting expeditions, steal their loot and redirect it into the Templars' coffers.
----
* AnAxeToGrind: One of her secondary weapons.
* DarkActionGirl: Isn't called "The Terror of the Seas" for nothing!
** BadassLongcoat: Comes in three flavors.
** BadassesWearBandanas: If you picked the default headgear.
* DoesNotLikeShoes: Her default costume has her barefoot.
* DownloadableContent
* FingerlessGloves
* KnifeNut: One of her secondary weapons.
* TheLadette: Has some shades of this.
* PirateGirl

[[quoteright:295:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Count_-_Concept_Art_6825.png]]

->''"Avert your eyes!"''

A Wallachian lord, Vlad Tepes, also known as "Vlad The Impaler", was a secret member of the Templar Order that fought against the Ottoman Empire. He was eventually defeated and killed by the Master Assassin, Ishak Pasha, in 1476.
----
* AnAxeToGrind: One of his secondary weapons.
* {{Badass}}
** BadassBeard [=/=] BeardOfEvil
** BadassCape: Has three varieties.
* PerpetualFrowner
* TooManyBelts

!!The Courtesan (Fabiola Cavazza)
[[quoteright:250:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Courtesan_-_Concept_Art_9776.jpg]]

->''"You hideous creature!"''

----
* DarkActionGirl
* DarkIsEvil: Fabiola's courtesan outfit is a striking black, which makes it sort of similar to that - the ''elite'' gear version, at least - of her predecessor, Fiora Cavazza. The sinister-looking mask, however, is absent.
* FemmeFatale
* HairDecorations: The floral headpiece.
* KnifeNut: When closed, the particularly sharp tip of the fan allowed it to be used as a dagger of sorts.
* [[PaperFanOfDoom Metal Fan Of Doom]]: The [[SlashedThroat throat slit]] is the preferred method of killing with it.
* MsFanservice
* TheOldestProfession
* TooManyBelts
* ZettaiRyouki

!!The Crusader (Haras)
[[quoteright:265:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Crusader_-_Concept_Art_2473.jpg]]

->''"For the Cross!"''

An ambitious individual, Haras was originally an Assassin apprentice, but he got dissatisfied with his slow progression through the Assassin ranks, and defected to the Templars.
----
* ArmorIsUseless: Despite wearing quite bulky armor, he goes down just as easily as any of Altair's other victims.
* BadassCape: It's a little shorter than most of the other multiplayer character, but still {{Badass}} enough.
* BeardOfEvil
* CoolSword: His WeaponOfChoice.
* CoolHelmet: Has three of them.
* DarkIsEvil: His default look has him dressed primarily in black.
* DownloadableContent
* DropTheHammer: One of his secondary weapons.
* FishOutOfTemporalWater: He is technically this in the multiplayer mode, since he's the only character from the Crusades-era, whereas all of the other characters lived during the Renaissance period.
* FaceHeelTurn: His dialogue suggests he never really believed in the Assassins' Creed.
* HumansAreMorons [[HumansAreTheRealMonsters and The Real Monsters]]: Disillusioned by the Assassins (and perhaps his lack of progress in rank), he was convinced by the Templars that humans are weak, base and petty.
* KnightTemplar: Literally.
* LightningBruiser: Despite the fact that he's wearing what looks to be a full set of heavy, bulky armour, Haras can run around rooftops and clamber up walls with pretty much the same speed as the other multiplayer characters. Even if they're wearing much less than he is.
* OnlyOneName
* TinTyrant

!!The Deacon (Cyril of Rhodes)
[[quoteright:265:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Deacon_-_Concept_Art_8059.jpg]]

->''"What shame you must feel."''

A disgraced member of the Eastern Orthodox Church, Cyril plots to kill the Patriarch of Constantinople in revenge for being publicly humiliated. He uses what authority he has left in the church to advance Templar goals.
----
* BadassBeard [=/=] BeardOfEvil
* {{Expy}}: He shares some characteristics with the Priest, Brother Ristoro, from ''Brotherhood'', most noticeably the religious background and killing, or plotting to kill, those who know of their less savoury habits.
* HeKnowsTooMuch: The clergyman Ezio interrogates is killed by Cyril in the second part of the mission.
* InTheHood
* IRegretNothing: The general sentiment that his FinalWords evoke.
* KnifeNut: One of his secondary weapons.
* [[KatanasAreJustBetter Turkish Longswords Are Just Better]]: His standard weapon, a kilij.
* MurderByMistake: In the first singleplayer mission tied to the Deacon, Ezio needs to use his [[SuperSenses Eagle Sense]] to find his real target among three similar-looking individuals. When the player has identified what looks to be the correct target, the accompanying apprentice immediately [[DeathFromAbove assassinates him]], though it quickly turns out to be the wrong man, which allows Cyril to escape the first time around.
* PerpetualFrowner
* SinisterMinister

!!The Guardian (Odai Dunqas)
[[quoteright:283:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Guardian_-_Concept_Art_6666.jpg]]

->''"You have sullied my blade."''

A cousin of the Sultan of the Sennar Sultanate, Dunqas was driven from his homeland and became estranged from his family. Upon learning of the Templar philosophy, he whole-heartedly embraced the Order, naming himself "The Guardian of the Truth".
----
* BadassBeard [=/=] BeardOfEvil: Absent in his default look, though you can give him one of these.
* BladeOnAStick: His standard weapon.
* DropTheHammer: One of his secondary weapons.
* EverythingsBetterWithSpinning: One of his custom kill animations has him twirling around his target (while viciously slashing them up, of course) like a ballerina. It's quite... dizzying sometimes.
* FingerlessGloves: Made out of bandages and some leather gauntlets, but still counts.
* KnifeNut: Not actually an available weapon, but, aside from whatever weapon you have equipped him with, he will have two daggers neatly tucked into the cloth that's wound around his midsection. Whether he's actually proficient with them is unknown; they may just be decorative.
* NiceHat: His turban.
* PerpetualFrowner
* ScaryBlackMan
* SinisterScimitar: One of his secondary weapons.
* WalkingShirtlessScene: Maybe a little less obvious than say, one the Champion's customisation, but definitely counts. Whether it's a long-sleeved or a short-sleeved shirt, Odai Dunqas seems determined to show off his impressive pectorals.

!!The Gladiator (Anacletos)
[[quoteright:285:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Gladiator_-_Concept_Art_8737.jpg]]

->''"No challenge!"''

An orphan that was sold into slavery and eventually became a gladiator, Anacletos' emerging talents were soon noticed by the Templars and they offered him a place among their order. Gladly accepting, he would, from then on, hunt his targets with dedication and ferocity.
----
* AnAxeToGrind: One of his secondary weapons.
* BadassCape: Comes in three flavours.
* CoolSword: His signature weapon, a spatha, is definitely one of the biggest swords around.
* BloodKnight: Only joined the Templars because they gave him an excuse to kill.
* TheBrute
* CoolHelmet
* DownloadableContent
* DropTheHammer: One of his secondary weapons.
* TheFaceless: All of his head skins have him donning a kind of gladiator helmet that completely covers up his face. Ironically, one of these helmets is shaped like an actual, Roman-looking face.
* FashionableAsymmetry: Has a bit of this on his default armour.
* LightningBruiser: Despite the fact that he's wearing what looks to be a full set of heavy, bulky armour, Anacletos can run around rooftops and clamber up walls with pretty much the same speed as the other multiplayer characters. Even if they're wearing much less than he is.
* OnlyOneName

!!The Knight (Scevola Spina)
[[quoteright:349:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Knight_-_Concept_Art_6511.jpg]]

->''"I don't even need my armour!"''

A knight that lived during the early 16th century, Scevola Spina would eagerly lend his abilities to the Templar cause, wishing to follow in the footsteps of Verulo Gallo, whom he idolised.
----
* AlliterativeName
* ArmorIsUseless: Plate armor can not stop a bullet. Or an icepick...
* CoolSword: It's just a standard broadsword, but definitely one of the biggest among the personas.
* CoolHelmet: He only has access to one though, unlike his Brotherhood counterpart.
* {{Fanboy}}: Of the original Knight, Verulo Gallo.
** AscendedFanboy
* LightningBruiser: Despite the fact that he's wearing what looks to be a full set of heavy, bulky armour, Scevola Spina can run around rooftops and clamber up walls with pretty much the same speed as the other multiplayer characters. Even if they're wearing much less than he is.
* [[MalevolentMaskedMen Malevolent Masked Man]]
** TheFaceless
* SuspiciouslySimilarSubstitute: For the original Knight, of course. Unlike Fabiola however, who basically looks identical to her predecessor, the similarity in looks between Scevola Spina and Verulo Gallo has a more sensible explanation. Scevola Spina was inspired by his Italian counterpart, and, wanting to follow in his footsteps, would don the same attire and use the same weapon.

!!The Ottoman Doctor (Seraffo)
[[quoteright:240:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ottoman_doctor_-_concept_art_1745.png]]

->''"Come, let me cure you!"''

Once dedicated to healing his patients, Seraffo now has more of a tendency to harm. An expatriate from Venice, he became a Templar agent that would gladly put under his designated victims through the use of his deadly syringe.
----
* CoolMask: The same one as Malfatto's.
** MalevolentMaskedMan
** WhiteMaskOfDoom
* DeadlyDoctor
* TheFaceless
* ImprobableWeaponUser: A sharp syringe filled with poison, just like his predecessor. The only difference is the poison in question, which is stated as being "a mercury solution of his own making".
* KnifeNut: He wields a bladed syringe, which allows him to use the syringe to inflict stab wounds as well.
* ManInWhite
** LightIsNotGood
* OnlyOneName
* SuspiciouslySimilarSubstitute: Of the original Doctor from ''Brotherhood''. The character model used for Seraffo is basically identical to the one that was originally made for Malfatto's ''elite'' gear, aside from the rather obvious [[PaletteSwap switch from black to white]].

!!The Ottoman Jester (Dulcamara)
[[quoteright:240:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Ottoman_Jester_-_Concept_Art_2_9517.jpg]]

->''"It's not me they're laughing at!"''

A deadly, twisted killer, Dulcamara was a Venetian expatriate and jester that came into the employment of the Templars after his antics caused the ruin of a Sultan's beloved vizier.
----
* CoolMask
** WhiteMaskOfDoom: Albeit with some gold-colored designs on it as well.
* DownloadableContent
* HighCollarOfDoom: Not the most spectacular example, but still counts.
* KnifeNut: Wields a khanjar dagger as his standard weapon.
* MalevolentMaskedMan
** TheFaceless
* MonsterClown
* NiceHat: A turban with a feather.
* OnlyOneName
* ProfessionalKiller
* SuspiciouslySimilarSubstitute: As with the Courtesan, the popularity of the Harlequin from ''Brotherhood'' most likely prompted the game developers to have him return in ''Revelations'', albeit under a different guise. The in-game model is mostly the same, although there are minor differences, such as the mask and hat, and a rather striking PaletteSwap.

!!The Privateer (Blaise Legros)
[[quoteright:239:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Privateer_-_Concept_Art_8598.jpg]]

->''"Say hello to Davy Jones for me!"''

A ruthless ship captain who will work for any that can afford his price, with those who can't often finding themselves stranded in the middle of the sea.
----
* AnAxeToGrind: One of his secondary weapons.
* {{Badass}}
** BadassBeard [=/=] BeardOfEvil
** BadassMustache
** BadassesWearBandanas: If you've chosen the third customisation for headgear.
* [[CuteClumsyGirl Cute Clumsy Guy]]: A RareMaleExample. If you have them equipped with their standard weapon, the multiplayer characters will usually perform some kind of [[{{Badass}} badass-looking]] animation when they are selected. The Privateer will attempt this as well, throwing his cutlass into the air, but, hilariously, fails to catch it when it comes down again.
* DownloadableContent
* FashionableAsymmetry: His default outfit has some of this.
* GroinAttack: One of his animations has him slam the butt of his axe into his target's stomach, but this will occasionally turn into this trope, when his target is positioned just slightly higher than he is.
* [[SheCleansUpNicely He Cleans Up Nicely]]: Both his default and second outfit have him dressed a little carelessly, like you would expect from a pirate. Surprise surprise, when he turns out to look quite sharp when you select most of the third options; a more clean-shaven look, an embroidered vest and some actual, decent pants can go a long way.
* NiceHat: Two of them being typical pirate hats, and the last a bandana.
* OnlyInItForTheMoney: He'll work for the Assassins or the Templars; just depends on who pays him.
* {{Pirate}}: Going off what little we know of him, he's most likely a Type I.
* SkirtOverSlacks: An ''extremely'' RareMaleExample.

!!The Renegade (Shahkulu)
[[quoteright:270:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Renegade_-_Concept_Art_8563.jpg]]
->''"Hehe. Are you suicidal?!"''

Voiced by Tony Calabretta.

* AxCrazy: Especially against the Turks.
* {{Badass}}: Even Ezio had a tough time killing him.
** [[spoiler:He manages to survive the hidden blade. ''Twice''.]]

* TheDragon: To Palaiologos.
* EvilLaugh
* EvilSoundsDeep
* KnifeNut: One of his secondary weapons.
* KnuckleCracking: He's seen doing this right before he gets to beating up one of the Ottoman spies.
* LightningBruiser: He's wearing some heavy armor, yet still opts to nimbly dodge your strikes - ''continuously'' - rather than defend. Not to mention the fact that he has a lot more health than your average {{Mook}}.
* MadeOfIron: Takes two grievous stab wounds, yet gets up immediately after with no visible difficulty.
* OnlyOneName
* RoaringRampageOfRevenge: Wants revenge on the Ottomans for oppressing his people, the Shia.

!!The Sentinel (Vali cel Tradat)
[[quoteright:303:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Sentinel_-_Concept_Art_9318.jpg]]

->''"Time to rest."''

A Wallachian noble, Vali cel Tradat was a loyal Assassin for many years, until the Brotherhood made peace with the Ottomans, who had invaded his home and killed his idol, Vlad Tepes. He betrayed them and joined the Templars to seek revenge.
----
* AntiVillain
* {{Badass}}
** BadassCape: Three undeniably awesome varieties.
** BadassBeard [=/=] BeardOfEvil
* InTheHood: A remnant of his previous life, as an Assassin.
* ItsPersonal
* [[KatanasAreJustBetter Longswords Are Just Better]]: One of his secondary weapons.
* KnifeNut: One of his secondary weapons.
* MeaningfulName: The last part of his name (cel Tradat) means "the betrayed one", which fits the circumstances of his defection.
* PerpetualFrowner: A bit more melancholic than the Count or the Vizier, but still counts.
* RoaringRampageOfRevenge: Against the Assassins.

!!The Thespian (Lysistrata)
[[quoteright:260:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Thespian_-_Concept_Art_1113.jpg]]

->''"What an ugly performance."''

A wealthy Byzantine, Lysistrata lived a life of luxury and nonchalance. She was schooled in the arts by the Templars, and in exchange she would use her "seductive charisma" on Ottoman officials and visiting monarchs.
----
* BadassCape
* BladeOnAStick: One of her extra weapons.
* DarkActionGirl
* DeadpanSnarker: "Oh, such a tragedy!"
* KnifeNut: [[SlashedThroat Throat slit]] optional, though she does impaled heads and severed spines just as well.
* ModestyShorts: Unless you have her wearing some practical pants and boots under her dress.
* OfCorsetsSexy: One of her customisations features an opened one.

!!The Trickster (Mirela Djuric)
[[quoteright:250:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Trickster_-_Concept_Art_2600.jpg]]

->''"Your fate is sealed."''

A Romani who was an expert thief and fortune teller, she provided the Templars with a vital link to the underworld of Constantinople and was consequently shunned by her own people.
----
* AbsoluteCleavage: One of her 'blouses' employs this to great effect.
* AnAxeToGrind: One of her secondary weapons.
* BareYourMidriff
* BraidsOfAction: Borders on RapunzelHair.
* CoolCrown: In her standard outfit, she wears a fairly simple, golden circlet around her head.
* DarkActionGirl
* DoesNotLikeShoes: Is barefoot in two of the three options for footwear.
* DontYouDarePityMe: Her [[LastWords final words]] evoke this sentiment.
* GroinAttack: One of her animations has her slam the butt of her axe into her target's stomach, but this will occasionally turn into this trope, when her target is positioned just slightly higher than she is.
* IRegretNothing: As she's dying, Mirela claims to regret nothing of what she's done. In her life as a UsefulNotes/{{Roma|ni}}, she'd been the victim of oppression, of ignorance and of hatred. In retaliation, she simply took what she believed was owed to her.
* KnifeNut: Her standard weapon.
* LaserGuidedKarma: Mirela is assassinated through a dose of poison, her own preferred method of killing.
* ModestyShorts: Sort of a prerequisite; one of her custom kill animations involves her vaulting over her targets before killing them, while the camera is, coincidentally, at just the right angle to [[PantyShot look up her skirt]]. [[AvertedTrope Averted]] with her third accessory skin, where there's not much skirt to speak of.
* OfCorsetsSexy: Her second Chest skin.
* UsefulNotes/{{Romani}}
* TheTrickster

!!The Vanguard (Oksana Razin)
[[quoteright:240:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Vanguard_-_Concept_Art_7149.jpg]]

->''"I'm doing you a favour."''

A Cossack from Odessa, she joined the Templars after they offered her a chance to strike back at the advancing Ottoman Empire, exchanging loyalty for wealth and power. She seemed to have primarily been an information gatherer, spying on the enemy, though she obviously knew her way around a weapon as well.
----
* ActionGirl / DarkActionGirl
* AnAxeToGrind: Her standard weapon.
* BraidsOfAction: Not the most traditional of braids, but she has them.
* [[{{Cossacks}} Cossack]]
* [[EveryManHasHisPrice Every Woman Has Her Price]]: Switches loyalties for the wealth and power offered to her by the Templars. Initially, she served her home country of Odessa, but spying for the Templars turned out to be [[OnlyInItForTheMoney far more profitable]]. That, and it allowed her to strike right at the heart of the Ottoman Empire, something which her original occupation did not allow.
* GroinAttack: One of her animations has her slam the butt of her axe into her target's stomach, but this will occasionally turn into this trope, when her target is positioned just slightly higher than she is.
* KnifeNut: One of her secondary weapons.
* MacheteMayhem: One of her secondary weapons.
* NiceHat: Has three different kinds.
* SkirtOverSlacks: One of her customisations gives her something akin to this.
* SpyFiction
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: Despite being part of the original multiplayer character ensemble, Oksana does not make an appearance in the singleplayer storyline.

!!The Vizier (Damat Ali Pasha)
[[quoteright:230:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Vizier_-_Concept_Art_1791.jpg]]

->''"Away, vermin!"''

Initially a loyal servant of Sultan Bayezid II, Damat Ali Pasha turned to the Templar Order after the Sultan's ambition to conquer the world subsided. He sought to deliver the people into the arms of his order, so that order and glory could be brought to a world of chaos.
----
* AffablyEvil: During the first singleplayer mission centering around the vizier, Damat Ali Pasha sounds genuinely grateful and enthusiastic (suspiciously so) when Ezio returns the stolen documents to him. Though by the time the second part rolls around, he's obviously not as friendly.
* {{Badass}}
** BadassBeard [=/=] BeardOfEvil: One of them is a goatee that's kind of similar to Ezio's.
** BadassMustache
* BladeOnAStick: One of his secondary weapons.
* DualWielding: An interesting example, since the Vizier does not actually wield two swords. However, when you have him equipped with his speciality weapon, a sword, one of his kill animations has him slashing his target across the back with both the blade ''and the sheath'' in a kind of X-formation.
* NiceHat: His helmets.
