* How do you know that the soundtracks for the ''VideoGame/StreetsOfRage'' series are all time classics? (Besides the fact that YuzoKoshiro composed them.) Well, let's start with the first game:
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DMJDTu-O9Ck Best. Intro. Ever.]]
** The catchy [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=buRzjl4WN8s Player select theme]].
** Prepare to be [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k-triR4wPyI Fighting in the Streets]] of Round 1.
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e8kg5jwKjas Attack the Barbarian]] Boss!
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VHcEdTbsQok Round Clear.]]
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zwjNYdT3xHU Dilapadated Town]] of Round 2 suits the gritty, crime-ridden, rundown neighborhood theme of the Round.
** Hit the [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qr2nqUpTlsc Moon Beach]] of Round 3.
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dhqau-k9t7U Keep the Groovin']] on the bridge of Round 4.
** Cruisin' with the [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DZMS5iO47TE Beatnik on the Ship]] of Round 5.
** Like Round 2, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wbfnsZkCC2c Stealthy Steps]] of Round 6 makes up by being thematically appropriate.
** Throw the enemies out of the elevator to their deaths on Round 7 while listening to the [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mtAoRcaFlNQ Violent Breathing]].
** It is Round 8 and it is time for [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K7Jx_nsh13k The Last Soul]].
** Prepare for the Final Boss fight, for Mr. X is not the [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6F-FfKNkSlQ Big Boss]] for no reason.
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d9FIMyj8jHA My Little Baby]], the good ending theme, unless...
** ...You took Mr. X's offer and [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=REHBFNW7Aus You Became the Bad Guy!]].
** The unused tracks [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zEyCV_naHFo Up & Up]], [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PtcrguQJXKs The Super Three]] and [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vP89RFxLhnk Name Entry]].
** The [[http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLB997CEAB09477682 Official Soundtrack]], despite being based on PC-88, is largely identical except for few little changes (the extended bit at the end of [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KM56vxeKJvY Intro theme]] for example). Still, the slight differences in instruments used may make the themes sound better for some. Also, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QK-EQunOO_s it]] [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gebmPOqwIXg has]] [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5C2ZapRozxo five]] [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=meg3SsjmkuQ arranged]] [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i9_7Jtb4y7w tracks]].
** Thanks to the fine folks at Data Discs, a remastered soundtrack with Koshiro's assistance and blessing is [[http://data-discs.com/products/streets-of-rage available in vinyl format]].
* And now for the second game:
** Just [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YTbPZAWXy7o Go Straight]] on Stage 1. Or listen to the [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jK77WJZNniI Beatmix]] version in the sound test.
** Beware the whip cracking lady [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fk3rCG0MkRk In the Bar]]
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dSfpmzx3ASo Never Return Alive]] if you can't beat the boss.
** Go for the [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fr_8TlVx9P8 Spin on the Bridge]] on Stage 2.
** Hitch a ride while listening to [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UDMRdyUOpYQ Ready Funk]]
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y7ZygVzL3aI Dreamer]] from Stage 3. If only real life amusement park had this on the speakers...
** Alien-themed set has [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6W2eWy-w3m0 Alien Power]].
** On Stage 4, we get to play baseball (with Bongos substituting for balls) with [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SjsTq44A5KA Under Logic]] on the speakers.
** Going way too fast and way [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yOXn3m3Xh4s Too Deep]] on that secret elevator.
** On Stage 5, we stowaway on the syndicate ship with the [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8QFYgu2jjoc Slow Moon]] on the night sky.
** We hit another beach on Stage 6 with the [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IFFGvtViAXk Wave 131]] on the background.
** Going deep into the [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZkwWYc9kvts Jungle Base]].
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eSasSOBMtxQ Back to Industry]] on stage 7.
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VZFloT80zWc Expander]] by Motohiro Kawashima sets the mood for riding the elevator to the top.
** Combining the Streets of Rage theme, You Became the Bad Guy!, The Last Soul and mixing them with [=SOR2's=] musical style, we get [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EkcU_BifAPE S.O.R. Super Mix]], the theme of Stage 8.
** Motohiro Kawashima delivers again with Shiva's theme [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mRAJTYqStuE Max Man]].
** Feel the [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NNtJX1KpHAk Revenge of Mr. X]]. And Bullets in the face too.
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QGzkGB3_qgY Good Ending]]. That is all that is needed to be said.
** Unused track [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R4NbLA0x2EA Little Money Avenue]]
** The [[http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLC2134D602D39AD50 Official Soundtrack]], like the first one, is also almost identical. Like also with first one, different instruments, volumes, etc. can make it different, most obviously with the [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6AuYOGNy4Mw Spin on the Bridge]].
** Like with ''[=SoR1=]'', this game also has a remastered soundtrack [[http://data-discs.com/products/streetsofrage2 available on vinyl]].
* The music for the third game is hit and miss for most people, but it has some good tracks, and Motohiro Kawashima had bigger hand in composing it:
** Yuzo Koshiro:
*** Go like a [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jwHZmINwodo Crazy Train]] if you keeping dying against [[ThatOneBoss Jet and his rocket gang]].
*** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tr7hjjnwN_c Kama de Coco]].
*** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xe5swJ1yses Random Cross]] for chucking out annoying enemies out of the construction lift.
*** Ninja Samurai Boss Yamato gets his own theme, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=640h5xyxm3A Shinobi Reverse]]. As its name suggests, it is a remixed, reversed version of "The Shinobi", the Stage 1 theme from ''Revenge of Shinobi''.
*** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xrakJQ0VqKU Beat Ambiance]] in the ninja and martial artist filled tunnels.
*** Raving to [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gHuwo-k9ux8 Inga Rasen]] while you smash apart Dr. Dahm's machine.
*** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bob2_5K8BDI Spinning Machine]], the new player select theme.
** Motohiro Kawashima:
*** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fqiqVF0INkM Fuze]], for bomb hunting.
*** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ytwHgC3tRO0 Cycle I]], for pier trashing.
*** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O0I0Yatw2uc The Poets II]], as a warm up before Shiva.
*** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bwD90O4aPvY Boss]] theme.
*** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ISvY9N2BkBA Dub Slash]], which is what many consider to be this game's equivalent of Fighting In The Street and Go Straight, for kicking that Kangaroo slave driver.
*** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F-c0Cxsb7E8 Moon]], leading to the encounter with [[spoiler:fake Mr. X]].
*** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T2qMhO3N5So The Poets I]], avenge the Chief[=/=]General by storming the City[=/=]White House.
*** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WifRU31eACQ Cycles II]], back to industry.
** The [[http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL2148263836D329E1 Official Soundtrack]] with the slight differences.
* As a sidenote, Yuzo Koshiro [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1dOnOKsaQz0 mixed the tracks as part of DJ gig]].
* And of course, the many fan remixes, most notably the soundtrack for the Streets of Rage Remake. Notable originals and reworkings from [[http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLAAF592737E2B7DD0 Version 4]]:
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i4hIYgtuT1g Spin on the Bridge (Dance Mix)]] was so well-recieved that people expressed disappointment at it not being in game in the final version.
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K3MLaK3Mrjk Baseball Stadium]] was a fan favorite as well.
** This is the coolest [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uviPEQJLPnk Ferryboat]] I've ever ridden...
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=puikI_4IPUg Secret Laboratory (Monster Gallery Mash Mix)]], when you discover the syndicate's twisted experiments.
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9whuHwz_6Pw Revenge of the Big Boss]].
* ...and the [[http://sorr.doulifee.com/ Final Version 5]] (get the tracks here for examples with no youtube links, no hotlinking):
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8vsXkzIaQyk SMS Power]], to fight biker punks and ninjas in a dangerous amusement park attraction.
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cWlEAvwnoYU Max Man II]], following in the footsteps of [=SOR3=]...
** Powering through the caves to Mr. X's secret laboratory? There's a [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LIw8wu3tDHo Cycle III]] for that.
** To show that not all of the kickass music from this fan-remake are remixes, new character Rudra actually got [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YkR3P1p1nlE an original theme of her own, named after her]]. And it is ''glorious''.
** They took the already awesome SOR2 boss theme, "Never Return Alive", and ''[[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RDbjRgvbnJc massively improved it]]''. A perfect track to get you in the mood to kick some ass.
%%** Does the Shop music [[VideoGame/{{Shenmue}} sound]] [[ShoutOut familiar?]]
%%** Tracks from the original games were greatly reworked and expanded here, such as:
%%*** Robo X
%%*** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qQLX9cVDEnk Crazy Train]]
%%*** The Atlas Club (probably misnamed, probably Dance Club)
%%*** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QzJc9rZxtRg Alien Power]]
%%*** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EcDHTvDug18 Fuze]]
%%** However, most are in agreement that SOR3 Boss Theme only needed a minor upgrade.
%%** Ladies and gentlemen, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sosqYT5Jfmk New Wave]].
