Awesome Music / Sonic Robo Blast 2 Kart

Unmarked spoilers for both games on this page. Please proceed with caution.

While most songs for Kart and Ring Racers may come from other media, either directly or as a remix, the games also have some bangers of their own made especially just for them:

Both

  • Aurora Atoll Zone gets its own completely original theme in both of the games, being a wistful song complimenting the beautiful landscape. Ring Racers has its own version with the tropical feel of Sonic 3's Angel Island Zone music.

Sonic Robo Blast 2 Kart

  • This game brings a remix of "Hill Top Zone" from Sonic Drift 2 along, and it translates well to the Genesis soundfonts as a simple loop, keeping the pace for a circuit race around the heights of West Side Island.
  • For the battle mode, we get a remix of "Techno Hill Zone" from the original game, put into the SEGA Genesis song style by SeventhSentinel and maintaining its iconic groove for a small trip back down memory lane.

Dr. Robotnik's Ring Racers

  • Right from the word "GO!" in the Ring Cup, we get the originally composed theme for Robotnik Coaster by Tyron, which is actively upbeat and serves as a great way to kick off the rollercoaster ride of a journey that Ring Racers is about to take players on, fitting for the game's very first track outside of the Tutorial.
  • The two Sealed Star themes for the game, "UFO Catcher" and "UFO Smasher", both composed by Tyron, capture the mystery and intrigue of the brand new environments, making them such a wonder to look at if not for the pressure on your shoulders in these levels. "UFO Smasher", used for the Super Emerald set, is fittingly faster and also captures the mysterious feel the whole way. "All things upon the sine", the music that plays once you get the (Super) Emerald, is a beautiful reprise of the previous themes which gives a welcome relief after the stress you had when chasing these shiny stones.
  • The song for Lucid Pass Zone by SeventhSentinel helps connect the calming atmosphere of the track with an easy-going and memorable song overall.
  • "Crossing Venom Valley" by DrTapeworm, used for Hardhat Havoc, is a steady-going beat that works with the flow of the construction site that makes up the basis of the course, using different instruments to capture different emotions all throughout.
  • Figured you'd try the 'banana' code, as it was the code to unlock everything in SRB2Kart? In THIS game, it does nothing... but regale you with this catchy little number, mixed by Tyron. Wrong Game indeed...
  • The boss theme for the Blend Eye (and Mean Blend Eye), "Whisk Assessment" by Tyron, serves to be pretty hardcore, incorporating an intense version of the Cafe de Touhou song used for Espresso Lane, MBM sound effects and the S&K and Mania mini-boss leitmotifs to deliver an action-packed battle against the game's current solo boss encounter.
  • "Across the World", composed by Tyron, mixes the primary leitmotif of "Fluvial Beat Deposits" (which is now a Recurring Riff for the game in general) with cleverly-mixed dial-up modem sounds and voices advertising the online play feature for players in their own way.
    Let's try the newest game!
Play what you want, where you want. 24 hours a-.
    Across town.
    Across the country!
    Across town, across the country,
    Across the world!
    • An unused version of the track discovered in the game's files has an expanded variation on the instruments and dedicates some extra time to beats outside of the FBD Leitmotif, complete with more dial-up modem sounds.
      "Real opponents... for REAL competition!"
  • "Hidden Palace Zone (Ring Racers Mix)" by DrTapeworm is a more fast-paced version of the Mystic Cave 2P theme that accompanies the titular level in its newest incarnation, also sprinkling in its original unused theme as a sweet Call-Back to its humble beginnings as an unused level of Sonic the Hedgehog 2.
