Awesome / Thundarr the Barbarian

Go To

  • The scene in "Secret of the Black Pearl", where the Statue of Liberty comes to life and attacks Thundarr. The sheer craggy awesomeness of this threat shows how Jack Kirby, who had been turned off animation in his youth when he was slaving as a inbetweener animator at Fleischer Studios, finally cut loose designing the sequence.
  • In "Raiders of the Abyss", Ariel is fighting a wizard one-on-one. She animates his stone throne, making its arms (which look like human arms) come to life to grab and crush him. The speed at which he surrenders shows that this is hurting him a lot.
