  • The beginning of the slave revolt. After his gladiator match and seeing Varinia getting carted off, Spartacus snaps, attacking the slaver running the kitchen. And it escalated into full on bedlam as every slave on the estate starts rioting.
  • The rebels' Last Stand at the Battle of Silarius River.
    • The approach of the Roman Army led by Crassus. Possibly the finest portrayal of the triplex acies formations and greatly showcases the overwhelming might of The Empire.
  • When Spartacus is about to turn himself in after his great loss against the Romans, his followers start standing up, saying that they're him so he won't be surrendered to the victors. "I Am Spartacus" indeed.
  • Spartacus cradling his recently deceased comrade Antoninus whom he just had to kill on Crassus' orders: "He will be back. And he will be millions."
  • "He will know who his father is. Because I'll tell him."
  • A real-life example: Kirk Douglas giving full credit to Dalton Trumbo for writing this film was one of the acts that marked the end of The Hollywood Blacklist.
