Season 1

    A Searing Burst of Light
  • Mal is introduced Fight Clubbing and defeating his opponent.
  • Jesper tosses a counterfeit coin into the air and shoots it.
Jesper: Zemeni coin can take a bullet. But the knockoff... (winks, flicks coin up, and shoots a neat hole through it) ...Busted.
    • Kaz makes his own entrance by stabbing his cane on top of the loot Jesper was reaching for and cowing him into obedience with a shake of his head.
Kaz: No loud noises at the table, Jesper. You'll scare off the pigeons.
Jesper: (spooked) Wouldn't want that, boss.
  • Kaz is approached for a job recovering a stolen painting, which is worth ten-thousand kruge and was protected by "four roving guards, high fences, padlocked doors, and a security system designed by one of them Grisha witches (Fabrikator)". The reason he declines the job? He already has the painting.
    • He then outpaces Pekka Rollins, perhaps the most feared crime lord in the Barrel, and claims a million-kruge job for himself and his crew.
  • Alina's first unleashing of her powers saves herself, Mal, and gets the ship back out of the Fold.

    We're All Someone's Monster
  • Kaz doesn't back down from this job despite the deadline of hours to come up with a way to cross the Fold. Even after Pekka saunters into his office and threatens him at knife-point to walk away, Kaz simply glares at him, then proceeds to actually find a way just by noticing how a woman in his club counts her bills. He proceeds to question her on how her family slipped through the Fold, slips into the Emerald Palace (Pekka's club) for more information on this Conductor, then arrives just in time to stop Inej (who's been tricked by Tante Heleen) from killing the man that can secure them their job.
  • Kirigan's Big Damn Heroes moment when he slices apart the man attacking Alina in slow motion.
  • Jesper shoots at signs so fast the Emerald Palace bouncers aren't quite sure it was him.

The Making at the Heart of the World
  • Props to the Conductor for devising a train system that has a reasonable chance of ferrying people safely through the Fold, all without any sort of Grisha aid during the ride.
  • Jesper spends most of the train ride in a panic but, once he calms down and centers himself, he's able to gun down all the attacking volcra by shooting them through the roof and walls of the train. With only one hand (the other is holding the goat).

    Otkazat'sya
  • The Crows steal plans from a heavily guarded archive in a way that makes it look easy. Even when there's a slight snag, Inej avoids detection long enough for Jesper to shoot her a way out (Jesper even times his shot with a bell chime).
  • Inej securing a place in a performers' troupe. The leader afterwards claims in delighted awe that the Saints must've sent her.
  • Jesper shoots a playing card out of Inej's mouth while she does an acrobatic routine. With his back turned to her, looking through a mirror, while Inej is slowly spinning.

    Show Me Who You Are
  • Alina's first public display of her powers.
  • Genya actually puts up a good fight against Arken until he shoots her.
  • Kaz already figured out that Arken was paid off to assassinate Alina, as well as that a decoy would be inside the hidden room, so he lets his duplicitous ally take the fall while he and his Crows move on.
  • Kaz, despite being disabled, puts up a good fight against an Inferni and even breaks his hand.
  • Inej saves Kaz by throwing a knife into the back of the Inferni's skull from a balcony.

    The Heart is an Arrow
  • Alina comes up with a clever way to escape the trunk using her sun powers and a monocle she found.
    • Next she gets away from the Crows themselves with a little lightshow. In fairness, though, Inej let her get away.
  • The Crows each manage to defeat and escape the Grisha that come after them.
    • Inej puts a knife in the Inferni that finds her. She tries to spare her life by leaving the knife in, pulling it out only when the Inferni calls her "Suli trash" and threatens to kill her and everyone she loves.
    • Jesper is able to ricochet his bullets to shoot Ivan's bulletproof kefta in the same spot several times, finally striding up to him while he's groaning on the floor and knocking him unconscious. All while staying out of the Heartrender's sight the entire time until the end.
    • Kaz escapes Kirigan himself with a flashbomb just moments before he's cut in half by a shadow.
      • Bonus points for Kaz's demeanor during the encounter. Instead of begging or bargaining for his life like the Conductor had tried, Kaz actually taunts Kirigan to his face.
It was pretty clear she wasn't interested in being a captive anymore.

    The Unsea
  • Kirigan kills all the soldiers who killed his Healer girlfriend with one cut.
  • Alina gains the stag's powers not by killing it but by befriending it.

    No Mourners
  • When Kirigan gives his speech and asks who could defy him, Mal bursts out of the crowd firing his revolver.
  • Alina breaks away from Kirigan's control and unleashes her power.
Alina: You may have needed me, but I never needed you!
  • Mal tackles Kirigan off the ship.
  • The Crows, Alina, Mal, and Zoya working together to fight off Kirigan's men and the volcra.
    • Inej displays impressive knife skills against a Heartrender, then Zoya steps in as well.
    • Jesper blasts Ivan off of the ship with multiple gunshots.
    • Kaz saves Inej by swinging his cane's head into a volcra, driving it back.
  • After a season of playing the sensitive guy to Ivan's manly man, Fedyor shows he can still be a cunning and threatening antagonist when he takes down Matthias and figures out Nina has turned. Nina is only able to save Matthias by betraying his trust and ruining their relationship.
  • Kaz chooses to give up on trying to bring Alina back to Ketterdam, and she gives him a set of valuable jewels making it so that both sides can walk away satisfied.
Kaz: (shakes hands with her) The deal is the deal.

Season 2

    Like Calls to Like
  • Kaz single-handedly taking down a gang of thugs in a fight; special note goes to when he stabs one of them in the leg:
    Thug: My leg!
    Kaz: I recommend a cane.

    Every Monstrous Thing
  • Kaz reduces Pekka Rollins, the intimidating mob boss, to a begging, kneeling, sobbing wreck after claiming to have buried his son alive. He gets Rollins to confess to the murders he pinned on the Crows and give Inej her freedom before handing him over to the police.

    Yuyeh Sesh (Despise Your Heart)
  • Genya's explanation of how she poisoned the king as revenge, despite crossing over with Nightmare Fuel, is undeniably awesome, especially considering that her audience is mostly made up of the king's court (including his widow).

    Meet You in the Meadow
