    Ruby Rose of Class 1-A
  • In the very first chapter, Ruby single-handedly manages to foil Torchwick from robbing the store she was at using just her speed and some well placed kicks.
  • As she nears the end of the entrance exam, Ruby goes on a robot-destroying spree taking out as many robots as she can in order to rack up as many points as possible. At the same time, she unwittingly helps out several of her fellow examinees which in turn earns her some rescue points in the process. By the time her results come in, she passes with flying colors and even places in sixth place.
  • In a villainous moment of awesome for Roman Torchwick, he's able to hold his own against both Ruby and Kirishima despite being quirkless himself. It takes him being blindsided by Bakugo in order to put him out of commission.
  • Ruby, Bakugo, and Kirishima team up to take down some of the villains attacking the USJ. Ruby is able to make Bakugo, albeit grudgingly, admit that she can fight after all.
A Peace Sign to the Sky
  • During the Food Fight in chapter 2, Ruby manages to inadvertently win the fight by slipping on some ketchup while using her quirk. This causes her to spin so rapidly that she creates a wind-tunnel behind her which picks up all the food and clobbers her opponents with it. This ends up being the inspiration for her ultimate move "Slipstream."
  • Ruby manages to fight in the tournament section of the Sports Festival, and she even manages to place in third.
    • In her first fight with Mina, Mina manages to keep her at bay using her acid attacks and even limits Ruby's ability to use her quirk by covering the arena with her acid. At the last moment, Ruby manages to dodge Mina's knockout blow and turn the tables on her with a well-placed kick to knock her out of bounds.
    • In her fight with Tokoyami, he is also able force Ruby on the defensive using Dark Shadow. He hoped to whittle away at Ruby's stamina by forcing her to use her quirk to avoid Dark Shadow's attacks while simultaneously keeping her at bay. Ruby uses a desperate Death or Glory Attack by charging straight at him and tackling him out of bounds while just barely remaining in the ring herself.
    • While she ultimately loses against Bakugo, she manages to put up a solid fight against him and even manages to get a few hits on him. The fight ends when Midnight steps in because Ruby is physically unable to continue fighting.
  • When final exams roll around, Ruby is forced to take the practical portion of her exam by herself against Ozpin. True to his word, Ozpin doesn't hold back against Ruby and has her on the ropes the entire time. As time is running out, Ruby realizes that Ozpin won't let her escape, so she has no choice but to subdue him. In her last desperate attack, she uses Ozpin's barriers to propel herself towards him and she manages to successfully execute her "Slipstream" ultimate attack against him. At the very last second, she manages to cuff Ozpin and pass her exam.
     Falling and Rising
  • During the Provincial Licensing Exam, Ruby manages to employ her newest ultimate attack: Flower Hurricane.
  • After failing to stop Midoriya and Bakugo from fighting, Ruby ends up joining the fight in a Mêlée à Trois.
