Awesome / Ninotchka

• Greta Garbo's performance within the film, is often considered at the top of her game, and for good reason too.
• Nintochka's first appearance has her quickly establish herself as a strong, non-nonsense, independent woman who's not to be underestimated. Even though she's still pretty kind-hearted.
• Ninotchka somehow managing to climb up the staircase to the top of the Eiffel Tower within three minutes.
• A minor example, but Leon unintentionally managing to crack a smile on Nina after several failed attempts can be seen as one.
• Swana gets an antagonistic moment when she's able to use Nina's love of her home country Russia against her. She used the unlocked safe to safe to her advantage, took back some of her jewels, and threatened to drag the issue of the jewel's ownership through the French courts for two years.
• The way Leon's able to reunite with Ninotchka even after he's refused a visa to go to Russia. He finds out (after quite a bit of searching) that the Russian comrades trio had been sent to Turkey, and he went there and exposed them to city's civilization again, like he did in Paris. He knew Commissar Razinin would send Ninotchka to Turkey, which would give him an opportunity to spend more time with her and continue their relationship. It also doubles as a Crowning Moment of Heartwarming.
  • And get this, when Nina said she was only there for a few days as an attempt to avoid a relationship he responded by threatening to give other Russians the civilization treatment. It may sound like a forced relationship, but still - Crazy-Prepared and The Chessmaster.
