Awesome / Lupin (2021)

Go To

  • Assane strolling out of the Louvre, still dressed in his purple suit, with the Queen's Necklace safely in his pocket.
  • Assane's hilarious escape from Luxembourg gardens (Captain Laugier's subsequent enraged meltdown makes it even funnier).
  • Fabienne publicly accusing Hubert of being responsible for the 1996 Kuala Lumpur terrorist attack.
  • Assane manipulating the police at Le Havre into arresting Leonard.
  • Assane unleashing the full extent of his Papa Wolf side as he tries to recover Raoul from the clutches of LĂ©onard and Hubert.
  • Guédira getting Raoul out of Léonard's burning car.
  • The entire tenth episode could qualify as one extended awesome moment, but particular highlights include The Reveal of Philippe being in cahoots with Assane and Benjamin, Assane getting onstage at the theatre and finally exposing Hubert Pellegrini's misdeeds to the world before making his grand exit, and the final shot of Assane disappearing into the night as Raoul and a tearful Claire watch him go.
  • The first episode of Part 3 has Assane finally pull out one of Lupin's most famous tricks: sending a letter to someone to tell them exactly when they'll be robbed, and then using the resulting disruption to infiltrate the area and get close enough to pull off the heist. When the time comes, everyone waits anxiously, and it looks like Assane didn't show up...then the alarms go off and the pearl has vanished. Turns out Assane was in the room as one of the security his accomplice called in, he simply grabbed the pearl and slipped out as everyone was moving and looking around for him. Even getting caught after turned out to be intentional, since Benjamin and Bruno were the ones arresting him, knowing where he would be leaving, so they could essentially escort him off the premises without anyone stopping them. The chaos of the alarms being set to Blondie's "Atomic" helps, too.
  • Assane escaping his own coffin and nonchalantly walking out of Père-Lachaise cemetery after the crowd that had gathered for his funeral had dispersed.
  • Pretty much everything about how Assane runs laps around Cisco and his gang.
  • Claire isn't usually given many opportunities to get in on the action, so watching her use Assane-like tactics to steal the Lupin book Edith au Cou de Cygne from a pair of young women at the library is an awesome moment in its own way. Her adorably gleeful grin of pride after she's accomplished the feat only adds to the charm.
  • Assane confronting Keller at the top of the Arc de Triomphe like a caped avenger—his billowing trenchcoat actually makes him look like a superhero.
