Awesome / Lulu's Bizarre Rebellion

• The entire execution of the concept of Shirley as Zero is one for the story and author. Something that on-paper should sound preposterous is instead worked into a masterpiece of character development as Shirley grows from a terrified girl living in fear of her own Stand to essentially Lelouch's mouthpiece in the Black Knights, to becoming a prime example of Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass during the Stand Out Arc. After that, the identity of Zero slowly starts to take a bigger and bigger role in Shirley's thinking as she takes level after level of badass, to the point that, while she still loves Lelouch and is loyal to him, the prince has no doubts that she would turn against him if he ever strayed from justice.
  • For reference, she actually beats Lelouch in their duel during The Black Rebellion (something he is incredibly impressed by in his thoughts) and goes on to kill Dio during the Siege Perilous Arc.
• The battles for the Thought Elevators showcase just how far the surviving cast members have come in terms of skill. The only person on Schneizel's side who actually wins is Zero defeating Kallen... and then, when she's reminded of her friends (all of whom are on Lelouch's side), Shirley manages to finally take control back from Zero, gaining full control of her Stand in the process.
• In a story like this, the final battles of every arc usually consist of the Final Boss showing off how utterly unstoppable they are before one of the heroes proceeds to do just that in the most glorious way possible. Specific examples include:
  • Lelouch defeating and killing Clovis in his very first Stand battle. Props to Clovis for actually making him work for it.
  • Shirley ending West's rampage by smothering the seemingly Implacable Man, her first public victory as Zero that's broadcast across the entire Area.
  • Lelouch's gambit to allow Kallen to get to her mother and put an end to Hey Jude, though a Tearjerker, undeniably is one of these too.
  • Lelouch weaponizing I Know You Know I Know to defeat Mao, Kewell, and Anubis Requiem in one fell stroke, gaining himself enough prestige to become Area 11's new viceroy in the process of his first public debut.
  • Naoto blitzing through everything the Black Knights, Britainia, and the Chinese Federation had to offer in the Guren S.E.I.T.E.N before a final showdown with Lelouch, Shirley, Kallen, and Suzaku that the Enemy Mine is just barely able to win.
  • Lelouch and Suzaku fighting JOJO through the streets and skies of Paris. The two uneasy allies work together as only they can to drive the vampire into the Louve, with Lelouch ultimately putting him down with the Ripple he'd carried across Europe.
  • Shirley outmaneuvering Dio and tricking him into impaling himself on his own Stand in freefall. Left with nothing to transfer the damage to, the Britainian Chancellor can only wail as a Joestar puts an end to his mad schemes once again.
  • Kallen working with Nemo and CHARLES of all people to defeat Pucci and prevent him from resetting the universe again.
  • Lelouch (both of them) exposing Charles and Marianne live to the world as he monologues about his plans.
  • Lelouch finally beats Schneizel in a fight, upgrading his Stand through a ploy his brother genuinely didn't see coming, and eking out a win that ultimately kills both of them.
