Awesome / Love Letter from Thief X

Go To

  • In Kenshi's route, the protagonist has to try to stall the Black Foxes' mark when he returns home early while they're still in the middle of the caper. The mark is drunk and grabby, and when she can't convince him to back off the protagonist finally hauls off and punches him, knocking him unconscious - an impressive Damsel out of Distress moment from a girl who up until only a few days previous was living an ordinary life as a museum curator and has no combat skills at all. Kenshi is so delighted by it that he can't stop bringing it up for the rest of the route.
  • Also in Kenshi's route, just when it looks like Sean Kim is about to shoot Kenshi and the protagonist and get away with a set of plans for nuclear weapons, Tatsuro pulls a classic Big Damn Heroes and takes Kim down with a tranquilizer gun.
  • Tatsuro is even more awesome in his own route, when he counters Kuroiwa's reveal that she's one of the Silver Dogs by making it clear he's known all along and has just been waiting for the right opportunity to spring a trap on her.
  • On his route of A Chocolate Kiss, Riki gets provoked into a "friendly" game with the other Black Foxes that ends up with a car running over his Valentine's Day chocolates. The protagonist (who normally gets dragged along for the boys' antics whether she likes it or not) is Not Amused, and her wrath is a thing of beauty that leaves five very meek Foxes utterly cowed in the face of it. The crowning moment, however, comes when she drags Riki off for a private "lecture about giving into peer pressure", and eventually reveals that she had seen the game coming a mile away... so she swapped out his chocolates for store-bought ones. The ones she made had been safe all along. Cue jaw drop from Riki at the realisation that his girlfriend had fooled them all along.
