Awesome / Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978)

• Jack Bellicec saves his friends by drawing the attention of the pod people, sacrificing himself in the process.
  "Here I am, you pod bastards! Hey, pods! Come and get me, you scum!"
• His wife, Nancy, figures out on her own how to walk among the pod people safely by copying their emotionless demeanor.
• Matthew manages to set fire to and destroy the greenhouse that serves as a pod hub with just a fireman's axe and quick thinking. While his actions do little to slow the pod invasion ultimately, they do offer a temporarily satisfying Hope Spot.
