Galaxy Angel II: Zettai Ryōiki no Tobira

  • The opening itself is quite a looker in both its visuals and its featured song, Wing of Destiny, becomes the main motif of the new Rune Angel Wing cast.
    • To go into better detail and context, the Visual Novel segments of the first Galaxy Angel trilogy reused the same sprites and graphics for the better part of three years. The only notable graphical overhauls were the massive jumps in graphical quality in the space-dogfight combat sections and the FMV cutscenes that began from its unique artstyle before adopting the visuals reminiscent of the TV anime series. Each part of the first trilogy released within a year of each other and Zettai Ryouiki no Tobira was released two years after the end of Eternal Lovers.
    • To describe the opening fanfare of Wing of Destiny as bombastic would be an understatement. With the visual of a sun rising from the behind a planet, the opening strings and drums set the stage for a new story before the noise calms down to introduce the piano and violins as visuals of the Moon Angel Wing pass by with feathers fluttering everywhere. Matching the instrumental tension build up, now accompanied by chimes, the new members of the Rune Angel Wing and their Emblem Frames appear in pairs before the title drops.
    • In previous Galaxy Angel openings, the visuals purely focused on the five, later six, Angel Wing members and maybe a cursory shot at the characters introduced in the particular game, and usually at least one shot of Tact. Wing of Destiny not only focuses on the new cast of Angels alongside Kazuya but even give time for the members of the new Luxiole to be showcased. Tact makes his appearance here for the last time in a Galaxy Angel II opening. Much like how the first Galaxy Angel's title card at the end of the opening even featured Tact, Lester, and Luft with the Angels, Zettai Ryouiki has the Angels alongside the major members of the Luxiole's crew.
    • How much a change those two years have really been as the visual upgrade now completely match the aesthetic of the anime series. It also features periodic eye-catches, scene transitions, and every chapter begins and ends with an opening and ending song. Sprites have moving mouths, there are even more cutscenes, and generally more of everything. Even more exposition and lore than the previous trilogy ever had with call-backs a plenty.
  • Kazuya gets a crowning moment of awesome in Apricot's route when he maneuvers himself so he is between Apricot and an explosion, and getting punctured and coughing up blood for his trouble, but saving Apricot's life. This is awesome enough to provide a catalyst for Apricot finally confessing her own romantic feelings for Kazuya.
  • The Final Chapter, aptly titled ABSOLUTE, is chock full of HAPPENING moments that make for an exciting finale.
    • The Luxiole is badly outnumbered against Verel and his Shadow Moon and they decide to temporarily retreat to the other side of the Central Globe to call for reinforcements. Coco of all people gets her moment to shine here as she manually pilots the Luxiole through the network of outward jutting spires to lose their pursuers.
    • When things start to look dicey for Tact and the Rune Angel Wing holding off Verel's forces, a familiar cannon blasts his Shadow Moon. The camera then swings to the shot of the Chrono Break Cannon, the Elsior, and eventually Lester's own smiling face.
    • The cutscene immediately following Lester's timely save, the reunited Moon Angel Wing are deployed to assist their successors with their theme song starting up their launch sequence. As Ranpha put it best, "IT'S SHOWTIME!".

Galaxy Angel II: Mugen Kairo no Kagi

  • Having sat out for the past 5 chapters, Natsume finally joins the Rune Angel Wing in combat to fight against her treasonous subordinates above Seldar. Marking one out of the only two times the full Rune Angel Wing deploy together.
  • Like Zettai Ryouiki no Tobira, the final chapter is once again filled with great moments:
    • Parfait gives the Luxiole two tests before granting them a formal audience. The first is to navigate the Luxiole through a field of miniature black-holes. Tapio is given the order to manually move the ship and he is assisted by Noa's calculations to find the path of least resistance. Eventually, Tapio tires out and states that he cannot go on. Coco, who had initially been incredibly intimidated and reprimanded by Tapio, is the one who gives him a motivating speech back. Reminding him of his wish to see the true power of human emotion and determination, she orders him to stand and prove his own mettle in the face of adversity.
    • The final fight against Parfait is easily the most involved mission in the entire series. The victory conditions mirror the final mission of Moonlit Lovers, where the Luxiole must be guided closer to the enemy's super-vessel. Except this time, the enemy vessel fights back. Periodically, the main cannon of Parfait's vessel will fire but not before a significant charging process. The Luxiole must be manually moved away from the beam's trajectory lest it suffers tremendous damage. The same goes for the Emblem Frames escorting the Luxiole as they too can get caught in the beam if they're not careful. All the while, enemy reinforcements constantly arrive and Parfait's vessel also fires a wave of missiles. It is also the last time the full eight-member Rune Angel Wing deploy together.

Galaxy Angel II: Eigou Kaiki no Toki

  • The Rune Angel Wing fight to protect the Val-Fasq homeworld against the Will but soon run out of steam after repelling at least two fleets worth of enemies. When even more phase through the Infinite Corridor, hope seems dim but then familiar weapons start destroying the fleet in front of them. Enemy ships are sniped through from extreme distances, knocked around as if they were punched, are assailed in a torrent of energy, targeted by attack drones, annihilated in a beam of light, and the Rune Angel Wings' Emblem Frames become repaired. Cue Angelic Symphony as the Moon Angel Wing arrive to assist.
    • It doesn't end there, the Elsior rears up with Tact, Lester, Coco, and Almo in their old uniforms to join the fight.
  • Chapter 8 of the game involves a chapter-wide showdown against Sorbet within the nebulas of Arms Alliance space. The Will fleet assail the civilian ships from Sprite and the Angel Wing escort them to safety. Afterwards, Sorbet arrives personally to eliminate the Luxiole and the spotlight falls on Coco and Tapio's commands as the next couple of minutes take place entirely on the Bridge and reminds us that Galaxy Angel is still a space opera. Interspersed between the dialogue are FMV cutscenes and dedicated C Gs that might be the most space opera the series has ever been.
    • Sorbet opens fire immediately and Tapio manually moves the ship to dodge the shot. The immediate course of action is for the Luxiole to retreat behind the cover of the nebulas, that disperse all forms of light, so that laser weaponry will not reach them. The Angel Wing all accounted for, follow the Luxiole into the cloud.
    • In the nebula, Tapio points out that the Astral Sorbet will undoubtedly repel the Chrono Break Cannon as its predecessor did but Coco doesn't lose heart and suggests they attack first and find a way to go past it after.
    • Once out of cover, Tapio manually swings the ship around 180 degrees, allows the Angel Wing to dock, and prep the Dual Chrono Break Cannons to fire immediately after the Astral Sorbet comes out of the nebula in pursuit.
    • Coco gets a dedicated scene ordering the cannons to fire but the Astral Sorbet's shield holds up and repels the attack. Sorbet fires back, and without missing a beat, Coco orders for Tapio to unleash the power of a Val-Fasq, accompanied by another dedicated CG.
    • Tapio manually separates both Dual Chrono Break Cannons and the Luxiole into two and retreats past the Astral Sorbet back into the nebula, stunning the entity. Sorbet gives chase.
    • In the brief respite, Coco and Tapio analyze the scans from their attack and note that Sorbet fired back aiming at their cannons instead of the Bridge, suggesting that while Astral Sorbet's shields held, its improvements are only marginal and the Dual Chrono Break Cannons are a threat to him.
    • Back out in the opposite end of the nebula, Sorbet's ship is immediately assailed by some missiles and he fires back towards their position in a separate nebula cloud. Explosions sound out, suggesting a hit, and Sorbet taunts the Luxiole's crew.
    • Tapio quips back and reveals that the Luxiole remained separated but armed with a Chrono Break Cannon on each half. From two different angles, the Chrono Break Cannons fire, piercing the Astral Sorbet's shields and piercing through the craft itself.
    • Sorbet visibly gets upset and fires back, operating a smaller craft from within the burning wreckage of the previous one and the Angel Wing are deployed again to intercept.
    • Sorbet's personal craft is defeated but as it begins to explode, he fires his cannon one last time to consume the half of the Luxiole Tapio is on to bring him down with him. Thankfully, he is able to maneuver out of the way in time.
  • The cutscene involving the Rune Angels finally gaining their wings before the final fight. Kazuya is able to communicate to each of them to retrieve him within the Master Core and all the Rune Angels, be it through their Emblem Frames or personal power, bust their way through the Central Globe to save him. This leads to a three-minute long cutscene showcasing all the angels' abilities:
    • Nano communicates to all her fellow nanomachine organisms, previously hijacked to be used as weapons for the Will, and converts them to be temporary Bravehearts to merge with ALL SIX Emblem Frames.
    • Lily disengages from the cockpit of her Emblem Frame, draws her blade, breathes heavily like a madwoman, and swings her blade's anti-magic slash to cancel out the magical seals protecting the Central Globe.
    • Rico calculates the weakest part of the Central Globe and directs everyone to focus fire into it, opening them a path inside.
    • Anise leads the charge in navigating through the facility towards the core.
    • Tequila and Kahlua chant a spell to completely short circuit their surroundings to disengage the power accumulating in the core.
    • Natsume projects a barrier that covers the entire platform and allows the Emblem Frames to dock.
  • The ensuing final battle with the Will with all six Emblem Frames with wings and the Moon Angel Wing on command ships of their own is an all out battle with the title theme blaring and every character yelling their hyper weapon lines as their special gauges fill up within seconds of attacking an enemy.
    • The final blow to the final boss also involves Kazuya and his chosen Angel unleashing one final hyper weapon to finish the hexalogy with a bang.
