  • The music. The author has found some really good uses for the game's soundtrack. Just look at how Lanius was used during Episode 5, when the Kestrel was escaping from the planet.
    • And with Hacking Malfunction in Episode 17, right after the Kestrel jumps to Kaban.
      • And, it only gets better throughout the series.
  • The space battles are this. with models both from the game, and homemade, it really allows you to see the battles as they might look in real life.
  • 'Boulders and Blades' note 
  • The animation: for such a low budget, little known series.
  • The creator of the series edited several episodes together to make a movie (Warning, unmarked spoilers!) at this link.
    • Special mention goes to the extended opening sequence, featuring narration from Admiral Tully.

  • Sambo's heroic sacrifice using a combination of a drone, explosive decompression and a whole of giant spiders.
  • During Episode 36, we finally get Pavalo's full history. He was a general during the Federation siege of Typhen. Ultimately, as his final act as general, he disobeyed orders to destroy the Mantis encampment, even at the cost of Engi prisoners.
    • We also see who he is as a man, and it's a combination of awesome, heartwarming and tearjerker.
    • During his years in prison, he always felt that he did the right thing, and intentionally sank his relationship with Tully to prevent her from going under with him. His conviction was only shaken got a gift of cigars and notes from the soldiers he saved who later joined the Rebellion.
    • Despite his actions put his men and humans first is one of the tenants of the Rebellion, he never blamed aliens for his own actions. Fleet command might have hung him out to dry, but Pavalo never lost his moral compass.
