• Edith single-handedly saved the Olympia music hall of Paris from bankruptcy when she gave one of her most memorable concerts there in 1961, two years before her death. She was barely able to walk because of her rheumatoid arthritis and medication drugs and looked like everyone's 70-something year old grandma at age 45, and yet she still managed to keep up till the end and gave it her all. That concert's highlight was her performance of "Non, je ne regrette rien". To say that she got thunderous applauses would be an understatement.
