There's rarely a dull moment in Berrybrook Middle School, that's for certain.

Awkward

  • Ms. Tobins. Her Establishing Character Moment is coming to class on a motorcycle, and from there, Peppi goes at length how revered she is. According to word of mouth, she mastered kung-fu at age 9, graduated University when she was a teenager, and worked at NASA when she was 18. How much of it is true is up for debate, but that doesn't stop her from being one of the most respected teachers around.
  • The presentation on ecosystems that the kids see at the Discovery Center. It's rife with pure, unadulterated Scenery Porn as Peppi finds herself in real-life locations of natural beauty such as the Amazon Rainforest, the Sahara Desert, the Maldives coral reefs, an Arctic landscape with a beautiful Arctic fox in it, and even more obscure places like the Tepui mountains. Needless to say, Peppi is awestruck by it all.
    • Making this part even better is the Art Shift, as all places are painted in a beautifully realistic way that contrasts with the more cartoonish world we've seen so far.
    • The guest presenter apparently survived an encounter with a polar bear.
  • The Principal calling out both clubs after a disruptive incident involving their rivalry, even if it ups the stakes more than ever:
The Principal: Art Club. Science Club. This is your Principal speaking. It recently became clear to me that both your clubs have drifted apart from the school community. Art Club...you have a lot of talent, but you've been using the school resources without giving anything back. When other clubs asked you for help, you just ignored them. Science Club...you've made us proud with your accomplishments, but you've become disruptive. The incident at the Science Fair...I don't even know what to say. I know that both your clubs are better than that. So here is my challenge to you. In the next two months, undertake and complete projects that contribute to the school community. Your projects will then be voted on by the school. And the club whose project is voted most successful will get the table at the School Club Fair. The other club will think hard on how they could do better next year. Good luck! I'll be watching.
  • When Foster and Yanic harass Peppi and Jaime, especially the latter, over the former's apology note, the girl becomes so overcome with stress that she lets out a deafening scream that scares the two bullies away due to it getting Ms. Tobins' attention. Jaime later remarks to her that the vocal projection could have been heard all the way from space.
  • After mistakenly thinking that Peppi was willingly part of the sabotage on the Science club, Jaime forgives her when Peppi explains the full context, while not naming the real saboteur. He knows that she's not a cheater.
  • After the incident with the remote caused by Mari with the Science Club trying to destroy their display, causing a brawl, the Principal has another speech to give to the clubs, only this time, he doesn't hold back after all of the chaos they've caused with their pathetic war, and puts an end to it all by bringing the hammer down and suspending both clubs:
The Principal: Art Club. Science Club. Greetings. Thank you for working so hard on your projects. They are both outstanding and some of the best contributions this school has ever seen. However...due to the unsportsmanlike conduct displayed by both sides...neither of you will have a table at the Club Fair. The point of the Fair is to celebrate and support the accomplishments of your fellow students. But both your clubs failed to show that spirit. Instead you have shown disdain and even hatred toward each other. It is a problem. While I consider how to solve this...I am suspending all your club activities until further notice. Collect your things. Go home. Good day. >click<
  • Peppi has no reason to try and save the Art Club, let alone the Science Club since Mari unwittingly doomed both clubs with her impulsive actions and left them out to dry when she and her mother left her abusive father. She decides to do so anyway because as she aptly puts it, everyone's selfishness about the situation got them in this mess.
  • Ms. Tobins describing the works of Leonardo Da Vinci as a perfect combination of art and science, complete with illustrations of his life's work. It's what motivates Peppi to save both clubs with a similar approach.
  • Peppi and Jaime managing to bring the Art and Science clubs together (with some understandable difficulty) by promoting a collaborative project. Namely, an indoor planetarium. The Principal is moved to tears by the idea. and the end result is a spectacle that wins the Fair by a landslide.
  • Both the Art and Science club members standing up for Peppi and Jaime when the bullies try to harass them again. Seeing Derek of all people be one of the first to call them out is the most noteworthy part.

Brave

  • Jorge's sports friends gleefully sitting next to Foster and Yanic to give them a bad time when the former catches them harassing Jensen. Seeing those insufferable bullies in panic mode is rather satisfying.
  • Felicity standing up for Jensen when the Art club starts teasing him again.
  • Felicity's Sailor Sunburst cosplay...even if it got her suspended.
  • Jensen managing to get twenty-six signatures for the petition to get Felicity out of suspension. Sure, it required more than a hundred, but what matters is that he contributed, and the petition was ultimately a success.
  • After getting some encouragement from Akilah, Jensen finally musters up the courage to tell Foster and Yanic that they're making his life Hell. It actually manages to trigger a Heel Realization in Foster, not so much Yanic. But even after Yanic takes it too far, he ends up getting caught by Jenny and Akilah for once.

Crush

  • Unlike the previous two protagonists, Jorge is a walking awesome moment, being a massive and strong individual and the unofficial sheriff of Berrybrook. It helps that with Yanic's suspension, his job has become significantly easier.
  • Liv calls out Garrett for making up Blatant Lies about why he won't help the drama club rather than being honest about it. She uses the point of RPG raids to note that she and Jorge do a lot for him but he won't return the favor. Garrett admits in private to Jorge that she's right.
  • Liv figuring out a way to spruce up Garrett's party. Jorge states that the whole school would be in serious trouble if she ever decided to pull a Faceā€“Heel Turn with her social skills.
  • Coach Rashad being one of the few people in the school with no patience for James' antics.
Rashad: If you can't use your sports skills to win and haves to resort to verbal abuse and insults on my field-(suddenly glares at James) GET OFF MY FIELD.
  • Liv calling Zeke out for being the Bitch in Sheep's Clothing he is, specifically how he keeps ditching the girls he dates so he can charm others.
    • Later, Jorge gets in on the action when he sees Zeke obnoxiously try to get into the Drama Club room to see Jazmine, and has to hold back a whole lot of rage when he calls him out for it.
Zeke: SHE HAS TO LET ME EXPLAIN-
Jorge: Dude, No. She really doesn't. So leave it alone.
    Zeke: Wh-Wha? I just...want to explain-
Jorge: And it sounds like she doesn't want to listen. Respect that.
Zeke: No way! She's gotta give me a chance to-
Jorge: BUDDY, ARE YOU THICK? SHE. DOESN'T. OWE. YOU. ANYTHING. You're stalking and harassing. Get lost.
  • Liv apprehending a kid in James' group after he harasses a girl.
  • Liv, Jazmine, and Brooke getting short haircuts for a charity to sick children. Following that, Brooke breaking up with James when it becomes clear to her that him freaking out over her new cut is a result of him dating her for just her looks.
  • When Zeke pushes Jorge one step too far by insulting Jazmine and her new haircut, she holds him back, saying that she could beat him up, but then she'd get in trouble. At that point, Jorge states to himself that he's dating, in his eyes, the coolest girl in the school.
  • After Jorge is framed for being a part of a nasty chat, it's Jensen who's one of the few kids to stand up for him.
  • Jazmine calling out some students for gossiping about Jorge.
  • After spending the entire story being a spineless attention-seeking piece of dead weight, Garrett finally does something right on his own volition by telling the Principal the truth about his involvement in the chat, clearing Jorge's name in the process and getting himself suspended for two weeks.
  • It's offscreen, but after the whole Frame-Up incident, not only is James no longer seen as cool by anyone in the school, but he and his goons have also been suspended, and we never see them again. They also get kicked off the football team.
  • There is also Liv's reaction to finding out Garrett framed one of his best friends while posing as an online troll. She's furious with Garrett and refuses to speak with him, understandably, saying it doesn't matter that he was peer-pressured, he ought to know what right and wrong are. Jorge doesn't push her on forgiving Garrett because Liv needs to work through this out on her own, while unnerved by how uncharacteristic this is. After Garrett's suspension nears its end, Liv decides to reach out to him by tossing a rock at his window and makes him come to apologize to Jorge in person. She says that she'll forgive Garrett for Jorge's sake if he follows multiple conditions, including doing his homework and no longer lying to them. Both Jorge and Garrett feel this is fair.
