Given how this game is meant as an origin story for Bayonetta, there's plenty of awesome moments in Cereza's gradual journey to becoming the badass, Angel-hunting, god-slaying Umbra Witch she's known for being.

Chapter 12: For A Friend
- The scene where Cereza, Cheshire and the wolf Lukaon are confronted by Puca and his Faerie army. Cereza immediately places herself between her friends and the encroaching army. The narration points out that Cereza is terrified and actually shaking, but she stands her ground anyway, placing herself as a Human Shield in an attempt to protect her friends. It's a major sign of the strength Cereza will demonstrate in the future.
- Cereza, Cheshire, and Lukaon finally escape Avalon Forest, but it looks like the end for them as the Faerie army moves to kill them... only for Morgana to emerge with her Infernal partner Lex Talionis, driving the Faeries away and finally killing Puca in one strike.
Chapter 13: A Witch Is Born This Night
- Morgana drags Cereza and Cheshire into a dimension of her own making, where the older witch has complete control over the landscape and its surrounds. In response to a towering Morgana threatening her and Cheshire, Cereza not only doesn't back down, she triggers Witch Time for the first time, giving her the chance to react and evade her teacher's blows. It's at this moment that we see the first signs of her growth into the Stylish Action hero we know and love, and the ensuing Final Boss battle is as close as the engine allows to a mainstream Bayonetta fight.
