  • "Hold the Line". It's one thing for a superhero with a military background and solid musculature like Batwoman to throw down with armies of Man-Bats - it's another for Renee Montoya to launch into the fray with Batwoman and opt for using fisticuffs with the Man-Bats instead of just pulling a gun on them.
  • A lower-key example occurs in "Alarm Bells". As his siblings try and try to pull Bruce away from his work, Dick is working on his own solution in the background. Bruce's work is suddenly disrupted when the Bat-Computer announces that the manor's defenses have been taken down. Smiling, Dick calmly looks his irritated father in the eye and tells him he set things up so that Bruce has just enough time to catch Damian before he goes on patrol alone...but only if he leaves now. Although Bruce glares at him for a few moments, he has no choice but to act as predicted, and Dick clearly knows it. Basically, he pulls a Batman Gambit on the Batman.
  • "Kidnapping Clinic": Finally getting fed up with Jason's teasing about having to save him when he gets kidnapped, Tim gets a pretty impressive "shut up" in on his brawnier brother by kicking Jason's armchair over with him in it. The normally unfazed Jason yelps and gets wide-eyed as he clings to the tilting chair.
  • "Batman and the Signal" features Batman calling in everyone to destroy Maroni utterly that very night after the crime lord nearly kills Duke as part of a plan to murder Batman.
