The LeafGreen Run:
- Lulu is one of those Pokemon who just deserves a general entry. The Butterfree in question has managed to survive the entire run, and her dissenters didn't believe she'll make it past her initial catch as a Caterpie. She's even gone and completely owned Bruno's Fighting-types without breaking a sweat. Seriously, holy crap."YOU DON'T KNOW JACK ABOUT BUTTERFREE!"
- "This one's for the beaten down, the ones who lost their rock and roll..."
- Stopped short by Koga's invisible walls? Why, just have a Nidoqueen use Brick Break and destroy the whole thing! ...followed up by: "Hey, two words: COMPOUND EYES." A Minimized Muk isn't going to escape Lulu!
- Vinny the Magneton immediately catapults himself straight into BRO-TIER."BRING IT, YA OVERGROWN FROZEN TURKEY!"
- Not to mention "STURDY BODY BIZZOYYYY!"
- After starting to be a bit overshadowed due to deaths and awesome new characters, Spuds the Venusaur goes full-on badass against Lorelei.
- Let's clarify that: Spuds, a Grass-type which is weak to Ice attacks, went up against the ELITE FOUR MEMBER THAT SPECIFICALLY USES ICE POKEMON and still ended up KICKING ASS.
- At long last, the final battle with Gary. Locke only uses Nadine and Pongo for this match, and wins though tragically, Nadine is lost to Gary's Charizard despite type advantage. Vengeance for James and Rick is had, and not a single iota of sympathy for Gary is given.
- The final battle against Mewtwo. Locke catches Mewtwo with the Master Ball before Pongo can land the final blow. Mewtwo yells at Locke for not having the strength to finish him. She responds by taking the Master Ball and shashing it against the wall.
The HeartGold Run:
- Petty's egg hatches into a Togepi that has a Shiny Leaf. First thing it does? Metronome against an Onix and lands JUDGEMENT!
- Broseph shines in the battle against Whitney. Even after being hit with Attract, he just keeps on attacking without being stopped by infatuation. A suitable revenge after Miltank killed Ichabod.Broseph: Bros before hos.
- Likewise, Locke punching Whitney in the face after all the mockery directed at her and at Ichabod's death.
- Miki owning Rocket grunts in the dance hall as well as 5/6 of Locke's team evolving when they join the fight. Broseph gets to evolve twice. This part of the playthrough was embellished for the sake of brevity, but still awesome plot-wise.
