  • In the 1934 version, as they see Ramón follow Betty through the rooftops, the policemen can't bring themselves to shoot and risk hitting the girl. Then Jill, who'd previously demonstrated sharpshooting skills, grabs a gun from one of the cops' hands ans shoots Ramon, just as he was about to reach out to her.
  • Awesome Music: The Storm Cloud Concerto, composed by Arthur Benjamin with words by D.B. Wyndham Lewis. Hitchcock gave his favorite composer, Bernard Herrmann, the chance to write his own piece for the Albert Hall scene, and Herrmann simply took the music from the original film and made it longer, saying that was the only way he could improve upon it. Then Hitchcock uses it to shoot almost ten minutes of film without a single line of dialogue, keeping the audience in perfect suspense, knowing exactly what will happen but unable to do a damn thing to stop it. Watch the whole thing here.
