Samurai Pirates is an upcoming original CGI anime co-produced by Picona and Lakeside Animation Studio. Currently being funded on Kickstarter. The show's first season will consist of 6 episodes, each with a runtime of 11 minutes.
The story follows Enne, a popular Idol Singer who resides on the island Takarajima. One day, she encounters a spirit known as an ometsuke, who grants her the power to become a Magical Girl. Enne isn't alone on her adventure, however. Her friends, Lulu, Mila, Rey and Noko are given powers as well, with the quintet forming an idol group called the Samurai Pirates. Together, they set out to purify the hearts of those corrupted by the Oni King, Illa.

- Disappeared Dad: Enne is stated to not know who or where her father is.
- Fairy Companion: The ometsuke are this to the 5 main girls and can turn into their Transformation Trinkets that allow them to become the Samurai Pirates.
- Magical Girl Warrior: The Samurai Pirates are a cross between this and Magic Idol Singer.
- Transformation Trinket: The pirate eyepatches that the Samurai Pirates use to enter their magical forms.
