    Common Kiddie Kid Behaviours
These are behaviours commonly seen in fictional children, but are uncommon for real life children their age that do not have any developmental delays.

Concerning knowledge and skill

  • A preteen or teenager who does not know what sex is.
  • A preteen or teenager who Still Believes in Santa.
  • A child over the age of seven who relies on an emotional crutch (like a bedtime story, a teddy bear, or a security blanket) to sleep.
  • A child over the age of four who is not toilet trained, or a child over the age of five who still does a Potty Dance when they need to pee.
  • A two-year-old who still babbles more than they speak, or a four-year-old who still speaks in You No Take Candle grammar.
  • A child over the age of seven who still needs help bathing.
  • A preteen or teenager who still has Innocent Inaccurate responses to things.
  • A child over the age of eight whose drawings are still crude, or whose handwriting is still very large and messy.

Concerning general behaviour

  • A child over the age of four who still takes naps (and it's not a country like Spain where naps are commonplace among everyone).
  • A child over the age of seven who watches preschool shows or reads picture books.
  • A preteen or teenager who still plays pretend (and it's not portrayed as LARPing or cosplay) or plays games like tag and hide-and-seek.
  • A preteen or teenager who plays with dolls or stuffed animals.
  • A teenager who plays with toy vehicles or action figures (though nerdy teenagers collecting merchandise of their favourite works of fiction usually aren't seen as childish, since generally they don't actually play with the toys).
  • A child over the age of four who still throws tantrums. Crying is normal as long as it's for a normal reason, but it becomes a tantrum if it's accompanied by stamping, lying on the floor, attacking people, or yelling out demands (e.g. "I want to go home!").
  • A preteen or teenager who still plays on playground.
  • A child over the age of six who cries about or is scared of things that usually would only sadden or scare a toddler (e.g. wanting a different coloured drinking cup or thinking there are monsters under their bed).
