The fic starts by introducing Michael, who's Jerry's student. He doesn't have much in the way of personality, although he does turn out to be significantly ruder and shorter-tempered than Jerry, which is saying something. Jerry tends to ask his enemies to convert, depending on his mood, while if you're an unbeliever and you meet Michael, odds are he's fervently anticipating the day he can kill you. As you may recall from Chapter 13 of The Evil Gods Part 1, Michael was given the mission of infiltrating Hogwarts.
Jerry meets with Michael and tells him to pretend to be a wizard without doing any magic, a fairly tall order for the Potterverse. His goal is to find out whether Dumbledore and the British government are connected.
Jerry tells Michael to enter through the King's Cross station (Platform 9 and 3/4, but that isn't mentioned), and repeats his warning about how he must only pretend to do spells. He tells Michael that he must ask for God's forgiveness should he have to drink a potion or read a book or spell, and that he must keep up reading the Bible.
Michael takes a plane to get to Hogwarts, taking the Bible as his in-flight reading. He then makes his way to the train, which is made out of the bones of "death Christian martyrs" who fought a war against Hogwarts in the past, until Henry VIII came along, supposedly causing England to reject God in favor of himself, clear proof that the author's a particularly extreme Catholic. Upon boarding the train, Michael encounters Ginny.
