First mission with Morinth

I'm doing Thane's recruitment mission right now. I'm playing as an Infiltrator, btw, which means that I can use AI Hacking to turn enemies against other enemies if they're synthetic. I've had fun so far making geth and mechs switch sides and then just standing back and watching my enemies kill one another with me getting the same XP no matter what.

Well, now with Morinth's Dominate ability, I can do the same with organics. Going into Dantius towers with a party consisting of myself, Morinth, and Tali (who can also AI Hack), we're gonna save an awful lot of ammo and have a lot of our work done for us.

Hahaha, I just had her Dominate a krogan and make him kill everybody backing him up! Yeah, I'm sure it'll get old eventually, but it hasn't yet!

Morinth's reactions to things so far aren't different than Samara's, with her telling some salarians, for example, to be at peace since nobody will hurt them. I get that she's trying to stay in character and maybe they could only record so many lines, but I hope she isn't gonna act exactly like her mother too much of the time. I think she has some unique dialogue on Tuchanka, so there's that.

There was an opportunity to talk to "Samara" earlier while looking at a kiosk. What she said was that people here give up their identities to be corporate shells or something like that, and how that might work for them, but not for her. She said it in a Samara-esque way, but that's the kind of thing that would seem in-character for both mother and daughter. A little more daughter, really. No idea if they both say that; guess I could load my other Shepard, bring Samara to Illium, and find out.

Nothing particularly noteworthy dialogue-wise, in summary. She didn't have anything to say when we first met Thane; it was Tali who spoke up that time.

Oh, and upon returning from that mission, I received a message from Nef's mother thanking her for tracking down and executing her killer, which may qualify as the game trying to make me feel guilty. You get the same message if you actually do kill Morinth instead of Samara, which is why I say "may".

Anyway, I leveled up so Morinth will probably be ready for another talk, which I'll put in a separate post as planned...
