6/23 Tuesday New Moon
Minako overheard the gossipers talking about the revenge request website. The one girl mentions you just have to give the name of someone you want to take revenge on and it'll be done. Also, that it's completely anonymous. The other girl jumped at the opportunity to find the URL, leaving her friend disturbed.
But what do they do in the means of this revenge? It could be something extremely petty and yet...weren't there lots of reports of deaths these days?
“So Junpei, what's up?” Minako said to Junpei, Pyro Jack bringing her closer to the Magician.
“Up for some burgers today?”
“So evidently, there is this revenge request website going on.” Minako told Junpei over the fries.
“Oh yeah, I've heard a few pals of mine talk about that. Surprising how many of them were interested.”
“Yeah...and the news report yesterday said a student was shot. It...makes me nervous.”
“Huh? Hey, why's that?”
“My...guardian was a reporter. And she told me about this one story about people taking revenge just by dialing a number. It- it makes me nervous to hear stories like that.”
Junpei was quiet for a moment, at a loss for words it seems. “Eh, don't worry about it too much. It's just a rumor you know? I bet people will forget about once summer break is on.”
“Oh yeah. That's coming up soon. Big Sis and I loved taking vacations to beaches.” Minako smiled and chatted with Junpei about the various beaches she visited, grateful for the change in conversation.
“Welcome back.” Mitsuru said to the two. “We have two weeks until the moon is full again. Try to increase your strength as much as possible before then.”
“Two weeks, huh. I wonder what it'll be like this time. I have to admit, the suspense is killing me.” Junpei said.
“You're starting to sound like Akihiko.” Misturu noted. “Just remember this is not a joke. That reminds me...why is he not back yet?”
“He's prolly eating or somethin'.”
“I wonder where Akihiko is.” Mitsuru said to Minako. “If he's going to be late, he should at least have the courtesy to call me.”
Someone's in a mothering state towards him.
“A girl was found standing motionless in the middle of the street, halting traffic for several minutes. The expressionless girl has since been led away by the police. A number of these cases have been cropping up, causing extra problems for the police force.”
Apathy Syndrome is on the rise again. Well, only two weeks left.
Well, time to work!
That was a typical day. And why does the bug keep on reappearing?
6/24 Wednesday 13 days until Full Moon
“Yo!” Junpei met Minako at the gates. “...Hey is it just me or has Yuka-tan been acting weird lately?”
“Eh, she seems the same as usual.”
And by that I mean, with a grudge against Mitsuru for some odd reason.
“She's been thinking way too hard about Tartarus n' stuff. I mean, who cares right?”
Well...I guess it isn't necessary to ponder those questions as our goal is pretty obvious. Defeat shadows. Still...gah. Something just doesn't seem right and I can't put my finger on it.
Bebe sounds like he needs support. I'll hang out with him today, after I nab the Persona I need.
So I can't fuse Mithra yet and I don't have any more room to nab my older Nigi Mitama back. Well, I don't like refusing but I might as well.
“I am Nigi Mitama. You and I are like two sides of the same coin. Remember that.”
And yet...I think I'll keep this new one. Purely for the fact it has Hama instead of Rakunda.
Minako headed to the Home Ec room, Nigi Mitama bringing her closer to Bebe.
“Minako-sama...what shall we make today? I 'ave got a sewing book 'ere.”
I wish there was something I could say to cheer him up. But, might as well work on that bag he's pointing at.
The two began working, Bebe slowly cheering up at the sight of Minako's work.
“It is so lovely! Everyone will be uraymashii, jealous,” he complemented as Minako finished her felt bag.
Eh, this would make a nicer gift.
''I...want to go somewhere to eat after this?”
“Oh sure!”
“Arigatou gozaimasu! Zank you very much!”
Wow. That got him chipper.
The two went to Wakatsu Restaurant, a place Minako hadn't been in much. I hear that the fish is good for your intelligence, though I guess that's a rumor.
“I'm afraid I might 'ave to go back 'ome. I was able to come 'ere because of my aunt but my uncle did not agree wiz ze decision! He eez yelling at me to come 'ome now, like ze mafia. If I go 'ome...my uncle might never let me return 'ere!”
...well, part of me says that you should go home and be with your family. The other half knows how much he loves this place.
“Stay here.”
“I would love to stay in Nihon. Zis country eez where I want to live and die! But, no matter 'ow 'ard I try to convince him, 'e will not listen. I 'ave gotten to know you well Minako-sama. I cannot say 'Genki de ne' like zis!”
Very nice I managed to get some of his pep back. Now to think of ways to convince his Uncle about Japan...
The two seperated and Minako headed back to the dorm, another Temperence card sliding into place.
“Oh hello, Akihiko-senpai!” Minako said to her senior.
“There are a lot of problems that come up in life. For example, people who can't go on in life without being chained to the past. Of course, I'm sure there are some people who don't dwell on the past at all. I wonder how that feels.”
Yeah. But everyone has their own problems. I would agree about the dwelling on the past problem is a big issue.
Time to study. Somehow, during her figuring of problems and memorization of history, something in Minako clicked and she felt she gained Above Average intelligence.
6/25 Thursday 12 days until Full Moon
It's strange. Why do I try so hard to get something out of Edogawa's lessons? Is it because I'm dealing with the supernatural and as such, am more interested in learning about it?
“Ab do la see. Ah, Minako-sama. Which form of natural magic was used to look for water sources?''
“Dowsing.”
“Excellent work. Your answer rings true. No news is good news.”
Now why oh why does this “science forgot about going against natural laws” thing interest me. Oh wait, Dark Hour related things? Wait...the Kirijo group built a lab here. There was an incident that caused an explosion. Hmm...
Junpei offered free ramen. I better make sure that no new rumors are flying about me.
Minako hung out with the serious-looking Junpei. The two headed out for Hagakure.
“So um, ugh, I'm no good at this. Where should I start?”
Is...is this what I think he's asking?
“Going to confess your love?”
“Wha- n-no!”
Should have known. Ah well. To be honest, I like him but I don't LIKE him. We're cool as pals.
“I- well...I had something serious to talk about. I want you to have this.” Junpei handed Minako a pig key holder. “I never had much that I was attached too, but I always held onto this for some reason.”
Huh? I wonder why he's giving me this? It's kinda cute though.
“I used to keep my house keys on that. Thing is, I never wanted to go home. So when it turned out that I was gonna get to live at the dorm, you wouldn't believe how happy I was. I though after that I-I could finally turn my back on it all. So I kept this keychain and house keys stashed away, since I figured I'd never have to use them again. But after a while...I didn't like the way I was trying to avoid stuff. I knew the problem wasn't gonna go away just cause I couldn't look at it and I was lame for ever thinking so. That's why I dug these out. I plan to go see my dad, too. Then again, I'm still kinda chicken. If you hold onto those for me, it'll be like you got my back for it. That way, I'd have the guts to see him.”
Whoa. Knowing him, that must have took a lot to tell me about that.
“Hey, I'm always at your back, you know that right?”
“Yeah and hey listen, you can talk to me too, if there's anything bothering you all right? And I'm not saying so because I wanna be the guy everybody can turn to. It's just that, you don't have to do everything by yourself. You and the rest of the gang are there for me, and I'm here for you in the same way. Don't forget that...okay?”
He's right. I can't be so walled off with people anymore. Especially not with my best friend.

Or worse, I might have done the wrong things with it. So...thanks.”
“Aww. You are quite welcome Junpei.”
“Geez, listen to me, going on like that. C'mon let's eat! You want some more green onion barbecued pork?!”
Minako and Junpei chatted for hours on all kinds of subjects.
“Where have you been?” Akihiko asked.
Having one of the best days of my life, thank you!
Rising divorce rate huh? Why the heck did I notice that out of all the news reports?
Ah, I feel so good. Not even the stares from others can annoy me tonight!

And...happy feeling is gone.

“So there seems to be two people missing.” Minako informed Yukari at the cafe.
“Huh. What's the plan?”
“Rest up and head out tomorrow.”
“But...isn't Saturday your 'karaoke night?'”
“...DANG IT! Two weeks in a row I've missed it!”
“And finals are coming up soon.”
“Eh, I'm prepared.”
“Seriously!? Wow you are nowhere near like a friend of mine in Archery club...”
“Where have you been?”
“Hanging out wit-”
“I'm gonna go out for a bit. See ya later.”
...well it wasn't like he was needed anyway.
“Hello Ikutsuki.”
“The mood around here has been so serious lately. I thought I would lighten things up. So today I will be performing my top ten jokes for everyone.”
...now I see why Akihiko left.
“Dude, what did he come here for?” Junpei remarked to Minako.
“Lightening the mood.” Minako shrugged.
“I know Ikutsuki-san just wants to entertain us, but his jokes are really silly.” Fuuka said to Minako. “What should I do?”
“To thy own self be true.”
“O-okay. Then I'll just say, 'I'm sorry but I don't find your jokes funny.'”
“Well I understand how he feels...” Yukari said to Minako. “...but it's just so lame.”
“That's just one of the few indulgences of the chairman. Please ignore him.” Mitsuru advised Minako.
Minako sighed even louder as the terrible news but turned it up for everyone to notice when the report on the two people where missing.
“Oh, Mitsuru has infomed me of your rescuing people from Tartarus. I'd say that it's a 'shady' behavior that gets them near the Shadows!” Ikusuki joked.
