4/27 12 days until the Full Moon
Minako overheard the gossipers again. This time, there was to be another assembley, for the Princpal felt upstaged by Mitsuru's speech. As such, he was going to make another in order to compete.
No way. Well, at least I know to put in my headphones today.
I'm not a princess. Not a cutie girlfriend oh no, don't you know?
And with that catchy tune, Minako completely blocked out the speech while pumping herself up for the night.
Ah, homemade curry! Smells good! Time to-
Before Minako could start on her lunch, Mitsuru walked in the classroom.
“Amano, I'm sorry but I need to talk to you after school. I have a special request for you.”
“For me?”
“I apologize for being in a rush but I don't feel as if I can trust anyone else with this.”
Whoa. She trusts me that much? And she just met me a...few weeks ago? Man, that hospital visit has put me for a loop.
“I'll tell you more about it after school. Au revior.”
Math. Math. MATH! Oh boy. Why must this lady treat it as if it's the most wonderful thing in the world? She doesn't even know the formula's all the way!
“Alright. Today is the 27th so that works out to...your turn Minako! Do you know when numbers where invented?”
“6,000 years ago.”
Thank heavens that was a history question.
“Correct. The Summerans invented Math 6,000 years ago. Later the Arabic numerals were invented and the Indians invented the number 0 and countless equations! Ahh...the beauty and wonder of it all. Math is MAGIFICENT!”
Minako sighed softly as she sat down, hearing her classmates approval.
And just as she said, Mitsuru came in not too long after school ended.
“To make a long story short, I want you to join Student Council.”
Whoa, that's...something I've never done before. But...wouldn't I have to come to everything? That's a year long commitment! Not certain with the Social Links that I can manage that.
“Why so sudden?”
“Well, it's not like you'd participate in every activity. Just come to the Student Council room when you have the time.”
Someone up there loves me! But...
“Why me?”
“Because of your leadership ability.”
Now that I think about it...Junpei isn't reliable for that sort of thing and Yukari and Akihiko have clubs. Then again, I do as well but...
“I need everyone I can use in case something happens.”
Well if that's the case...
“Rodger! Count me in!”
“I knew I could count on you. I've already made an appointment with the faculty advisor. But you'll have to go to the Faculty Office on your own.”
“Fine by me.”
“I'm sorry I made the arrangements without you, Amano but I hope you understand what position I'm in. Please go to the Faculty Office, I'll be waiting for you in the Student Council room.”
No pressure at all.
Well that was very simple. Just a sign and go. Now to that room.
“Everyone, this is Minako Amano. She'll be joining us in Student Council.” Mitsuru made the introduction.
“Minako-chan huh?” A rather stern looking student looked Minako over. I'm Hidetoshi Odagiri. I supervise the Disciplinary Committee.”
“I'm Chihiro Fushimi, the treasurer. I'm a sophomore and...um...I'll be learning the ropes so...please be patient on me Minako-san.”
“Nice to meet you all,” Minako said.
Hidetoshi grinned and said, “You must be talented if the President hand-picked you. Nice to meet you.”

Mitsuru then finshed off the meeting, saying that the Student Council met at Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and not much before an exam.
Directly conflicting with Tennis. I guess I can mix up those two and juggle meetings.
“'sup dude! Dude, I heard Mitsuru-senpai asked you to join Student Council.” Junpei then turned to Mitsuru. “Senpai, are you sure you want to let a girl who just transferred here in?”
“I need some assitence, that's all. I won't let the responsibilities stack up too high. Why? Are you interested in helping out too, Iroi?”
“Oh uhhh...I'll pass. But thanks for the offer.”
“Heh. Well anyway, I want to go to Tartarus tonight Mitsuru-senpai.”
“Very well then, I'll inform Takeba. Stay here in the lounge and we'll go out tonight. See you then.”
Dark Hour
Well, let's check and see what Igor's “true purpose” is.
And with that, Minako entered the Velvet Room. There Igor explained that he fused Personas together to make new ones. With it they can make more powerful ones.
Hmm...I'm not at the level to make Nekomata yet and I feel like I should hang on to Orpheus. We'll go a little into Tartarus before we fuse something.
Into the tower, Junpei, Yukari and I shall go.
So Merciful Mayas are weak to Wind and Electricity and Ice. I can Ice it over with Apsaras! And the Muttering Tiara is weak to Wind and Ice. Alright. Yukari better learn Garu soon...
A powerful foe huh? Well I'm not going up against much here, I hope I'm ready...
“A large room?”
“It seems like the foe is in this room. Be careful!”
“Rodge-”
“Excusem moi? Could you take a look at that device?”
No harm no...ah! This shall send me back to the entrance!
“I knew it! This device connects to the entrance along with other places in Tartarus. You should activate them when you find them.”
“Right.”
And now I can fuse Nekomata! With Dia for a bonus!
“I am Nekomata. I guess I have no choice but to protect you.”
A line of Venus Eagle's faced the group.
“The enemy is stronger than you are accustomed to. Proceed with caution!”
“Gotcha Mitsuru!”
And yet Minako managed to knock one down easily with a Critical Hit. However, he got right back up and Garu'd Minako. Yukari's bow seemed to work well on it but she settle for dizzying the foe. Leaving Junpei free to get Garu'd and getting herself attacked.
“Yukari, they seem to be weak to your bow! Keep hitting them!”
Minako then critical'd another Eagle, missing the other, but Yukari managed to take it down.
“Here's our chance for an all-out-attack!”
“Let's go!”
“Let me at em!”
After a Garu hit Yukari for minimal damage, Mitsuru reported that their weakness was to Piercing attacks and that they abosrbed Fire.
''Very good thing I was relying on my naginata.”
Junpei missed his hit and Yukari was Garu'd again for negligable damage and Minako critical'd another Eagle. While she didn't critical another, she did take one out, leaving Yukari to attack the other.
“Here's our chance for an all-out-attack!”
And so another Eagle was slain. And Junpei used his Cleave to take out the last one. Minako collected the Empress Mask's as reward and Junpei and Yukari noted their ability to use Agi and Garu.
Makes me wish I held onto Apsaras. Ah well. Minako picked up the Bead Chain and moved on.
“Hold on.........!? The Shadows on this floor are a bit different than the ones you have been facing thus far. Proceed with caution.”
Okay, Mitsuru. New Shadows. Works.
White hands. That'll be different. Ah, Magic hands.
“Gotta be brave!”
...oh yeah. Yukari hasn't used her Persona yet. Huh. 6 floors in and she didn't use it. And she still seems to be nervous about this...
Okay. Hands are weak to Fire. I'll leave that to Junpei.
“Check this out.” And he completely anhilated the Shadow.
“Not bad huh?”
“Wait......there it is again! I detect a powerful foe above you! It's still relatively far away, but be careful as you work your way upward.”
Obsessed Cupid huh? Weak to Ice...WHY DID I FUSE APSARAS AWAY?!
Thank you Shuffle Time! Apsaras is mine once more.
A Persona? Distressed? Ah! It's the Cowardly Mayas again! BURN!
“Get back here you son of a-” Junpei called out.
And now Pixie is back. Goodie!
“Are you alright? Don't push yourself too hard. The powerful enemy I mentioned before is getting closer. If you're not at full strength, then just return for today.”
“Mitsuru, we are alright! Not one bit tired!”
Though my MP is really down. Should let Yukari take some of these Wind weak ones.
“Are you alright? Don't push yourself.” Mitsuru said to Minako.
She's right. I do feel a bit tired out...
“The enemy I mentioned is on the next floor. Please be very careful.”
Mericful and Cowardly. This'll be a breeze.
And with some criticals on the distressed Maya's and Junpei and Yukari taking out the other two, it was.
“That was a close one!” Yukari said.
No it wasn't.
What's this Grave Beatle? I've got a bad feeling about this one...
“Use Garu skills on this enemy.” Mitsuru reported.
“Alright then. Yukari, you know what to do!”
“Help me!” she said as she pulled the trigger. Using Garu, she knocked the enemy off it's feet. An all-out-attack, ensued...and it still stood! But a critical from Minako finished it off.
Seriously running low on MP here. Okay, I'll send Yukari and Junpei to scout out the area to find the stairs. Then we'll go home for the night.
“Tch. It got me.” Minako stood nearby as Yukari fought the Shadow but it she managed fine on her own.
“Sweet! I found something!” Junpei exclaimed. Later on, he found the access point.
“Let's stay here. Those stairs can't be too far off.”
“Gotcha, I'll just keep looking around then.” He got caught by a Shadow just as Yukari found the exit. Mitsuru warned about leaving others behind though, and Minako kept Yukari back.
“We're going to help Junpei out!” And Minako and Yukari caught him in a fight with the beatle. One Garu-All-Out-Attack-Slash later, and they were done.
“I found this.” Junpei said as he handed over the Patra Gem to Minako.
We need to spilt up more often. That was fruitful.
“I detect 3 Shadows in this floor's central area. Once again, you'll be facing a new type of enemy so stay alert.” Mitsuru reported.
“Don't worry Mitsuru. We're packing it up for the night.” One terminal ride later and the group headed down.
“Alright guys. Let's call it a night. We can take on that next boss some other time.”
And with that, the group headed back to the dorm, ready to draw this day to an end.
