Aspertia City
After backtracking through Route 19 (and being harassed by Alder yet again so he could give her berries) Lina makes her way back to Aspertia and to the gym, where she is greeted by the Gym Guy, Clyde.
Clyde: Hello! This must be your first gym!
Lina: Yeah, it is... How'd you know?
Clyde: I'm the Gym Guy, it's my job. As it is to give you this! -hands her a Fresh Water- It'll keep your Pokemon hydrated and healthy!
Lina: Oh cool, thanks.
A young man then notices Lina.
???: Ah, hello. Lina, was it?
Lina: Yep!
???: Hey there. My name's Cheren, and I've just become the Gym Leader. You'll be my first challenger!
Gino: What happened to your "what a bother" catchphrase, nyan?
Cheren: ...That was a phase.
Lina: ...Who are you talking to?
Cheren: Never mind. Just beat these two students, and then you can face me.
He moves to the back of the gym. Lina then faces a kid and his Patrat and Lilipup.
Kid: Patrat, use-
Lina: Shaun, Thunder Wave!
Roxas and Riana take care of the rest.
Roxas: ...I could have done that blindfolded.
Felis: Yes, because the Aura sense doesn't give you a total advantage there.
Roxas: You get my point!
The girl is similar, but by that point Lina's Pokemon are damaged enough that she has to take them to the Pokemon Center and come back.
Finally, she faces up against Cheren.
Cheren: Just as this is your first Gym challenge, this is my first Pokémon battle as a Gym Leader! Let's both do our best and have a battle we can be proud of!
Lina: Let's go, then!
Cheren: Go Patrat! Use Leer!
Lina: Go, Shaun! Use Thunder Wave!
Patrat: -LEERS at Shaun.-
Shaun: Sorry about this... -uses Thunder Wave-
Patrat: Urk!
Lina: -swtiches to Roxas-
Roxas: Now, let's get this over wi-
Patrat: -uses Work Up-
Roxas: ...Eh?
Lina: Roxas, Quick Attack!
Roxas does so, but is immediately K Oed by a boosted Tackle.
Lina: What?
She sends out Felis, who gets a Scratch in before succumbing to the same.
Lina: Grr...
Riana finally manages to KO the Patrat with Gust.
Riana: Yay! I beat the mean rodent! ^v^
Cheren: Interesting... -sends out Lillipup, who immediately uses Work Up.-
Riana: Mean dog! -uses Gust-
Lilipup: -K Os Riana-
Lina: Alright... Shaun?
Shaun: ...Did you beat up the rest of my teammates?
Lillipup: Um, well, it was mostly the Patrat...
Shaun: You are going down.
A Thunder Wave and several Growls and Thundershocks (Mixed with Water Guns from Susano) later...
Cheren: Congratulations! You won your first Gym Badge!
Lina: Woo! -hugs Shaun-
Shaun: ^_^
Cheren: I'm glad you were my first challenger... Here's the basic Badge, which magically forces convinces Pokemon up to Level 20 to obey you.
Lina: Cool!
Cheren: And here's a Work Up TM. Spam it like I do!
Lina: Will do! Maybe.
She heads oot of the gym, where Bianca greets her.
Bianca: Ooh! You got the Basic Badge! That must be from...
Cheren: -Comes outside- Bianca! It's been two years...
Bianca: It has! It's so nice to see you!
Cheren: Same here... Let's register our Xtrancievers so we don't have to worry too much. I'll register Lina too.
After the registering of numbers and a demonstration, Lina is then handed a Return TM, a C-Gear, and is then free to return to the Pokecenter.
...Where she finds s man with a package.
Man: Oh? Lina, this is for you!
Lina is handed a Pokeball... which opens to reveal something so powerful it would be downright Sueish if I ever pulled this in a fanfic.

Lina: Wait, what?!
Gino: Wait, what, nyan?!
