(Hey, with this I finish up on exactly 50 parts. I love round numbers, don't you?)

So, what do I think of the game? Well, I think I'll divide my opinion into two parts, the original game, and the modifications done to it.

Original game:

To be blunt, there weren't much wrong with it in my opinion. While the last leg became a pain to do, I'm not sure if that is to do with the modder cranking up the boss difficulty or not. Other than that, I have no problems with it gameplay wise. I really like the large variety of skills that the characters have. Though I wish some were more useful. *Coughsketchcough*

The story (And as far as I can tell, the mod's story more or less the same as the originals, it just had difference character personality.) was fantastic. I question if it needed quite as many bittersweet endings to character's stories, but there are some genuinely good sad tales there. (Applebloom's comes to mind) I do wish there was more to the ending though. I enjoy seeing what happens to character after the game is over. Nevertheless it was an enjoyable tale, with plenty of twists.

I should mention the music. It is very, very good. I actually took to looking up the songs of the game. Dancing Mad (Note that this vid is all 4 parts in one), the final boss music is a highlight, but they are all enjoyable. (Also, the chocobo song is always good. ^_^)

Modded game:

The main difference between the versions, other than the sprites and the difficulty, is the dialogue. So what do I think of that? Well, It was mostly good. It didn't often go completely out of character for the ponies, at least without reason to do so. There were a few times where I think the modder tried too hard to work in a reference in the dialogue, but apparently that gets toned down in a later version.

I sadly can't judge on much else, since I never played the original to compare it too. I guess that is something you guys can do.

So, overall, a great game, with a nigh flawless story to it. It was definitely worth my time to play.

What now? Well, there's a trope page for this game that needs a bit of love, and of course, you guys can go and download the game yourself. Even if you are not interested in the pony side of it, the differences in difficulty and character skills should be interesting to look at.

As for me, will I do another liveblog? Probably not, for a while at least to be honest. It's not that I didn't enjoy doing it, far from that, it's just that I'm in Uni now, and I will just not have the free time to do another one at a reasonable speed. Besides, I don't know what else to liveblog. ^_^ As for Final Fantasy, I'll definitely try some more. I hear Final Fantasy IV is a good one if I want to stay 2D, and Final Fantasy VII is good if I want to go 3D.

Anyway, this is it from me. I'm glad you have enjoyed reading what I have done. Your support though this is well appreciated.

...

I really don't know how to end this. I'll miss this blog, that's for sure. Well, it had to end eventually. Goodbye, guys!

While some bosses could give you trouble, Final Fantasy VI is usually considered the easiest game in the main series due to the sheer variety of ways you can break the game and the multitude of benign glitches (many of which were fixed here). It seems that Pony Fantasy VI upped the difficulty on quite a few bosses. Kefka, for one, is considered the easist Final Fantasy Final Boss, even with Heartless Angel. Well, him or Sephiroth in Final Fantasy VII.

My suggestion is actually for V (SNES Fan Translation, Anthologies for PS, or Advance for GBA). While I really love IV, V is more interesting mechanically. It's one of the few games in the series where status effects and instant death are somewhat useful. Although I don't know how much you like the goofy moments, because V puts way more in than other entries in the series.
