Hello again, and welcome to my LP. Last time, We released the espers from the sealed gate, who then proceeded to wreck Stalliongrad, and my airship. Now, Emperor Gilda wishes to speak to us.
Now, I'm sad to say that the next part has been spoilt for me, in terms of what I have to do to get the best rewards at the end. Only this and the fact I can use Scootaloo to get a party member, and something about waiting for Fluttershy on a floating continent has been spoilt to me, mind you, the rest of the LP should still be blind. I will use the information I have though, since I like shiny rewards. ^_^
OK, into the castle I go.
Talking to the guards, it seems that the Empire have been scared senseless by the esper attack, and have lost all will to fight. It also seems that Discord has been imprisoned for war crimes. Yes!
Ah, here is Gilda. She says she gives up, we win.
Ah, Seth is here. Did he have something to do with this? He said he will try, but I didn't actually expect him to manage it.
Seth says the espers came here to save there friends, but when they saw what happened to them, they razed the town, and scattered the Empire's army.
Gilda wishes for us to stop the espers, before they kill them all. Seth is doubtful they will listen to reason though.
Gilda wants to grab a bit to eat first, then talk. She leaves the room.
Seth says that there are still soldiers that wish to fight. He wants us to talk to as many soldiers as possible, and make them understand the war is over.
I have four minutes to do this. The time does not stop for talking or battles, so I need to do everything as fast as possible, Ignore chests, and don't talk to anyone who isn't a soldier. Some soldiers need to be fought to be convinced. Each Solider I convince gets me closer to the best rewards. Let's do this!
I found Discord, In jail. He is not happy. He is also wasting my time talking!
No Twilight, Now is not the time to use the Toilet!
OK, I think I got them all... I got 24 guards in total, and defeated all the ones who wished to fight.
Now, to the banquet!
It looks like Gilda is on one side of the table, with some guards, and my party is on the other.
Heh, Seth is sitting on my side, with a declaration that he is now a rebel.
Gilda seems to find it amusing that she is dining with ponies.
You know, Gilda's Dialogue is alot less formal than I would expect from an emperor. Was the original Emperor more formal I wonder?
During the course of this banquet, I get to pick what to say. Depending what I say helps towards getting the best rewards.
Anyway, I propose a toast to our Hometowns.
Gilda asks what we should do about Discord. TURN HIM INTO STONE!
...
No, that's not the best option, sadly.(Though it is an actual option, I don't think that was in the original version) I ask for him to remain in jail.
Gilda apologises for the poisoning of Sweet apple Castle by Discord. I say that it was inexcusable.
Gilda brings us Trixie. I declare that she is one of us! Gilda confirms that Discord was lying about her being a spy.
Gilda asks us to ask her some questions, so I ask Gilda why she started the war. Apparently, It was her father putting pressure on her to continue his legacy. She has got over it now though.
I ask why she wants peace now. She says that it's either give in, or get destroyed.
I ask why I had to talk to her soldiers before. She says that she wished for us to convince the die-hards to fall in line.
Gilda brings up espers, and that they are kicking their flank. (Heh) I agree that they have gone too far.
Gilda asks us what was the first question I asked was. Well, it was why she started the war. I have no idea why she wished to know that.
Seth asks if we want a break. Well, sure!
The troops on the other side of the table wish for be to test my strength on them. Sure! I have two minutes to defeat four of them in a battle. It wasn't hard at all, It only took 30 seconds.
I go back to the table, and continue the talk.
I ask if Gilda really wants to end the war. She says yes.
Gilda asks us a favour. She says the espers went North by northwest, and that she wants us to find them and tell them to go home. She is willing to help us do this, saying she is over her daddy issues now, but she needs Twilight to pull it off, as she is the only one who can talk to espers. There is a boat I can take to where they went.
I say I will help her. Gilda gets general Zecora to help us out. She says she will be at a place called Alhoof.
And the banquet ends. Bloom wishes to come with Twilight, but thinks that everyone else should stay behind to see what the empire gets up to, as she doesn't trust the empire. I agree to be honest. It was a very sudden change of heart here. Too sudden. The party agrees.
OK, I'm in control again. My party only contains Bloom and Twi.
Ah, a message from Gilda. Lets see how well I did, and what I get!
Imperial Troops has been withdrawn from south Canterlot and Sweet Apple Castle. That locked door over at the imperial camp is now opened, and I can take what I want. I got an olive branch from Gilda, and some slippers. I think that means I did perfectly. ^_^
Ah, the slippers lower the random encounter rate. Useful. The olive branch heals you over time.
Well, Time to loot the castle!
OK, back to the overworld.
So, off to Alhoof, then? Well, first, off to that imperial camp to grab the loot I was offered. Wow, it is full of money and useful items!
OK, Now off to Alhoof. It's just to the south of Stalliongrad.
Zecora is on the boat, like she said. Zecora says there are a few things to talk about the trip.
Who is that? It's Trixie and Fluttershy! Yay! They are coming with us. The boat will take a while though as it needs repairs. She says we should rest at the Inn.
Hmm, Trixie runs off when Bloom and Twi try to talk to her. We should find her.
Ah, Fluttershy is here because the empire hired her. Heh, she thinks that the espers will be cute. ^_^ She still has her dog with her.
Sigh, I can't find Trixie. Let's just sleep, like Zecora said.
Huh, During the night, Bloom sneaks off. She meets Trixie outside.
Bloom asks Trixie to give her a chance. She apologises for doubting her when Discord said she was a spy.
Trixie says nothing, and starts to walk away. I guess she is really upset that Bloom didn't trust her.
Bloom calls out Trixie's name, but Trixie still runs away. :(
OK, back to day time. Let's go back to the boat.
We set off to where the espers are.
Zecora says the Trip should only take a day.
At the night, Zecora notices that something is troubling Twi. Twi says that the empire taught her everything she knows, to be a weapon. She tried to get away from it, but when she get her first real choice in life, she chooses to fight again.
Zecora says that Twi is no villain. She should have faith in herself. She says she knew of her plight, but did nothing to aid her, as the empire told her it was fine. She says her trust was mislaid.
Twi says that because her talent is magic, does that mean she is destined to fight all her life? Zecora says that that her destiny is up to herself. Twi says that people only seem to want her to fight. Zecora says that her life has only just begun. She will understand soon. Twi isn't convinced she will. Zecora leaves, and Fluttershy comes up deck, to watch dolphins swim, apparently.
Twi asks Fluttershy if she was listening. Fluttershy admits she did. Fluttershy says she doesn't know anything about magic, so she can't help. As Twi starts to walk away, Fluttershy says than many ponies in the world have forgotten what friendship can be like, but Twi should not be like them. Twi walks away.
OK, Bloom as come on deck. She seems sea sick.
Yep, she is. At least she got to the side of the boat... Bloom asks Fluttershy to keep this a secret. Can't have ponies thinking she is weak after all I guess.
OK, the island we are heading to is called Crescent Island. Fluttershy joins our party, but not Trixie. It seems she has other things to do, she is an empire general, after all... (Does she get that back? The empire seems to be acting like she has...)
Well, we are ashore. Let's head to the only town here.
Hold on... This is Thamaresha! That town that gave me the cold shoulder before! Well, now they will talk and sell to me. I guess it takes the empire backing me before I get service in this town.
Well, I should probably end this part now, before more big stuff happens.
