The Return Of Harmony Part 2

Hello again, and welcome to my LP. Last time I started Discord's tower. Lets continue it.

Remember Atma? That boss that kicked my ass in the last part? According to the comments, he is skippable without penalty. You know what he gives you when he dies? A save point. That's it. It's not worth it...

OK, back to team Lunar Whale! Pressing onwards, they eventually reach the roof of the remains of Staliongrad castle. Here, there are two switches, and a Locked door that can't be reached by Team Lunar Whale. I guess I need to get another team on the other switch, to open the door for another team.

Well, lets switch to Team Highwind.

Its going OK so far. I think these guys are my weakest team, at least when it comes to groups on enemies. Against one enemy, then pinkie just slaughters it. I have also managed to get Fluttershy's Evade up to 90%. It means she is almost untouchable against physical attacks. Unfortunately, her Magic block in only 20%, which tends to be the bigger threat. There is one think I've only just noticed about her too. Sometimes, her dog Angel actually blocks attacks for her, then counter attacks. I have not seen her do this before, but then, I don't use her that often...

Huh, we appear to be in the Magicteck factory...

Wait, is that... A save point! Yes! Finally!

Oh, there's a reason for that save point, there's a sudden ambush just after it! Boss fight!

This guys is called Inferno. He has two Hands which count as enemies as well, called Striker and Rough.

Ah, he casts spells. Bolt2, in this case.

Well, hand one is down already, but it didn't have the death sound effect. It had the fleeing sound affect. It will be back soon I bet.

Hand two is down as well! Let's scan the body.

He has 30800HP (a relatively small amount at this stage) and is weak to lighting. (He is weak to the element he casts?)

He has high defence. Pinkie is only able to do around 6000HP of damage to him. He also seems to have a strong counter attack.

Ah, the hands are back. I knew they would.

Though I get the feeling it's a trap, Lets try Bolt3 on him, if that's his weakness.

He has Wall. I KNEW IT! Shame Fluttershy had to die from the bolt being reflected to test my theory.

The hands are back down.

and he is down too! This team is a boss Killer! Unless they are immune to physical attacks like Atma was...

Another throne room? With another dragon in it...

Should I fight him? On the one hand, dragons tend to have good drops, on the other hand, If I'm not going after them all it's a bit pointless...

Alright, I'll leave him be. I can manage without whatever he drops I bet.

Ah, we are on the roof too now. Let's stand on the other switch. This does raise the question about how to get Team Strahl to progress...

I'm going to have to backtrack, arn't I?

OK, Team Highwind, backtrack!

... There back at the start, and they only found one alternate route. It lead to treasure, but that's it.

Team Lunar Whale eventually find a way to open the path for Team Strahl. Now to get everyone back to where they were...

Wait... no I don't, the door the two switches opened Is still open!

OK, I'm there. Behind the door is three switches. I do need all the party members. Well, time to do the entire dungeon again with team Highwind...

Ok, I'm there. I've got one pony on each switch. It opened up the path. I also managed to get a good healing Sorcery spell for Rarity.

Hmm, the only team that can progress is Team Highwind...

Nope, If I backtrack a bit, I find another button which opens paths for the other teams.

Well, Let's progress With Team Strahl!

One of the statues! Let's touch it!

Err... It's fighting back... Hold on, The statue is of Nightmare moon! She is one of the three goddesses! Boss fight!

Let's scan her.

... She isn't scannable...

Ah, I may not be able to scan her, but it seems that she is weak to Holy (Well, the game calls it Pearl, but it always seems to be the game's holy Element). That's useful, as that is the element that Derpy's spear has. She also Absorbs lightning

You know, I don't think I mentioned this, but I got a Relic For Derpy. What it does is when she uses Soar, she can actually hit 2 or 4 times, instead of 1. For this boss, it means she can do 8000 to 16000 HP damage every time she hits, and is immune to damage which she is high in the air charging it up.

Hmm, the boss is slowly making itself immune to elements. If she makes herself Immune to Holy...

Sigh, Nightmare has put AJ to sleep...

She mostly just puts people to sleep, with the odd physical attack.

Holy crap, she just hit AJ for 9999 Damage!

I got her up again, but now she is casting sleep on everyone!

Ah, the 9999 damage move is only on sleeping people.

Ahh, she became immune to Holy... Derpy is useless. My only chance is if Bloom can use her Debilitator to get it back up. (It adds a random elemental weakness)

Ah, now everyone is asleep!

... She killed them all. I got my ass kicked by a statue.

...

...

...

I should have seen that coming, to be honest. I don't even know how to cure Sleep, so I was kind of screwed from the start...

Right, I'm ending this part here. Once I get back to where I was, I will take on the three statues.

Until next time! ^_^

Pinkie wrecks house dual-wielding weapons like the Hawk eye and spamming the Stray Cat rage.

You can wake party members up by hitting them.

If you need a bit more offensive power against this thing, Pearl is learned from the Alexander summon (who also gives some protection magic). Palidor can give you Haste 2, which will certainly be advantageous. And since you didn't kill all the dragons and haven't uncursed that shield, Odin's Meteor is the strongest non-element magic at your disposal. Sure, this stuff would only apply to Twilight, but at least it's something.

Best of luck with these statues, my friend! Here's hoping that Team Lunar Whale's battle will be as ironic as I picture it to be...

On the Pearl/Holy thing: Nintendo of America had issues with quite a few things back in the 80's and 90's. Religion, and things referencing religion, are one of them.

I wonder why the hackers didn't give Holy back its name. Nostalgia? Or maybe they just didn't feel like it.
