In which we take a faerie out for a night on the town

Welcome back. Last time I promised mall antics with Lizzy, but first, let's go sell some stuff!

We head into the Police Station to sell off all our spare stuff, which is more than enough to make up the cost of the Slash Ward we ordered from Tanaka. I do love my vendor trash. Sadly he has nothing new for us just yet. Probably after the full moon rolls around he'll have some more stuff for the party. That's usually how these things work. Anyway, off to the Velvet Room to go rescue Elizabeth from Igor's come-hither gazes! One smash-and-grab later, we find ourselves going on a date with Elizabeth. She is immediately fascinated by one of the world's "rarities". Is it a diamond ring, a glittering rainbow? No... It's a fountain. Yeah, Elizabeth's a weird one. She also goes on to twist the purity of the fountain by claiming that it "makes sport of water". Starting to think that Igor might be the lesser of the two evils here... When she spouts (sorry, had to be done) on about the whole "throwing coins into it for wishes" thing, I respond with a cryptic "maybe so." Hey, might as well play along! Turns out Elizabeth wanted to try it out for herself, and brought... HOW MUCH?! ONE MILLION YEN?! WHAT. WHAT. GIVE MONIES. WANT MONIES. NO FOUNTAIN, GIVE TO SHADOW SLAYING GOD. NUUUUU, NOT THE FALSE WATER GOD!

Despite my... somewhat incoherent protests, Elizabeth keeps pouring those things in there. She was so caught up in tearing up my soul by pouring all those coins in that she didn't even think about her wish. That's right, all those coins poured in were a wasted effort! YOU'RE TEARING ME APART, LIZZIE! Our next stop is the Police Station, which she confuses for some sort of bounty hunting service. We... correct her a little on that by saying that we don't kill the wanted criminals. Ah well, looks like she's enjoying herself, at the very least. We head over to the local club next, which amazes and astounds Elizabeth. Gotta say, the way she describes it makes it sound a lot more... poetic than it is. Thankfully the club is closed for the time being, meaning that our eyes are spared seeing what's probably the closest thing to a faerie in this series dance... Or not, as she proceeds to dance the YMCA in front of us. She asks us to recommend the next activity. Well, since we've seen her dance, we might as well see how well she sings as well. Karaoke it is! Once more Elizabeth is a little... confused on the premise of it, but she is distracted by another fountain. No, no, no! Please, not again! I can only stand so many riches being pointlessly soaked! Don't do this to me aga- NOOOOOOOOOOO! Someone... stop her... It hurts.

After that dose of soul-rending pain we head on up to the karaoke place. Alas, we do not get to witness her singing first-hand, as it simply gives us a generic "You did x with y" before sending us back to the Velvet Room door. She asks us to take her out on another date some time before heading back into Igor's House of Naughty Looks. For a reward, we gain an item which lets us fuse a Persona, so that's cool. All in all I rather enjoyed that. It was rather amusing, despite the soul-crushing horror of seeing all that money go down the drain... One day, Fountain Gods. You shall get your comeuppance. Anyway, I decide to head on over to the station after that, only to find that the book store is closed on Sundays. Darn. Ah well, I guess I'll head back home for the time being. Since Minato's recovered from sleepy-protag disease, it's time to head back into Tartarus and beat up some more dudes!

On the 11th floor of Tartarus, I discover that the Trance Twins know Zio, meaning that poor Yukari gets knocked around a little by them. Thankfully we're able to take them down quickly, leading to a level up for Junpei and Yukari. The rest of the 11th floor passes without much incidence, but upon reaching the 12 floor Mitsuru detects a great source of power on floor 14. That'll be our last tier 1 boss, then. Since I've been advised to take this thing out before the first full moon, getting to that thing is our main priority right now. Of course, we also need to get to level 8 in order to obtain Jack Frost, but once we reach the 14th floor we can head back down and grind all we want. Of course, Junpei gets grabbed by some rogue Twins, meaning we have to go in to support him. It's here that I lean that, well... lightning hurts Minato. A lot. Thankfully a lucky Cup pick from Shuffle Time means that I don't need to spend SP healing myself. Oh well, off to the 13th floor! Of course, Junpei gets tired after our first battle with a Grave Beetle, so we're forced to slink up the stairs. Helpfully they were right by the entrance, so we don't have far to go. Gotta love those randomly generated dungeon layouts. Anyway, after seeing our big boss dude in the flesh, I head on downstairs again via the Tellietubbie device. Anyway, finding that Beetle Shell from the Grave Beetle means that we can hand in another Request, landing us 12,000 yen. Nice!

Well, since Junpei has left us, I'd better call it an update. Join me next time for more Shadow moiduh... uh, murder.
