Upon passing the tests, Egwene learns that the arches reflected back far more of the Power than usual, and some ranting about the last time it happened gets her to realize it was because she had the dream ring in her clothes outside. Alanna’s also nice enough to explain more about the Greens, who Egwene had been in the last test; they’re the soldier class. That probably gets awkward with the ban on using the Power offensively, but it’s something to look forward to with her. And we end on a Tearjerker when Elayne is revealed to be a hot mess after her own tests, which gets Egwene to also break down while Nynaeve has a Not So Stoic moment comforting them.
Plenty more good information here, which helps move along another chapter that’s really nothing but an infodump. And I still hope we get to learn what Elayne went through, and I now really want Egwene to go ahead with joining the Greens. She’s already whacked a woman with a pitcher, after all.
