Okay, I'm back where I left off: Right at the beginning of the fight with Vyers. Some changes have been made, including new equipment, and higher levels. I also have two newer party members.
Say hello to Nietzsche (Cleric) and Aristotle (Warrior)! They've been rather useful lackeys so far.
As has been recommended, I'm going to try to use the human totem pole thing to help myself out with this. Etna picks up Laharl after he jogs a bit, and Punchmaster picks up her in turn. Laharl is at the Geo-Cymbals, attacks... and annihilates them all.
The Prinnies advance as meatshields, and I set Aristotle to work on a couple flanking enemies. Nietzsche sticks around for support.
The enemy kills a Prinny, but it doesn't matter, since I take out more of them. After a couple more turns, the enemy forces are in chaos. Laharl heads for the heart as the other enemies are distracted.
Unfortunately, Vyers seems to like to run away. I'll have to corner him. With no foes but him left, that shouldn't be too hard. And it isn't!
Etna, Laharl and Punchmaster are on all three of his flanks. His attempts as attacking, other than an opening Adonis Shot at Etna, are pathetic and do nothing.
And then, he's defeated. Not nearly as hard as last time. Time to watch another cutscene thing. Basically, Vyers runs off.
Etna is having a conversation with some mysterious benefactor! And so the plot thickens!!
More importantly, I save. Whew.
There's a pretty scene of "celestia", I'm guessing the Heaven to the Netherworld's Hell. Makes sense. Angels and stuff are there, too.
Oh look, a Cute Angel! Is "Cute" really that defining a character trait? She's talking with an angel head honcho guy, and they check out flowers for a while. I'm guessing I'm going to visit this hippyville sometime, aren't I?
Angel dude tells Flonne (the Cute Angel) to assassinate the Once and Not-So Future King. She really doesn't seem liek the assassin type. These must be badass angels.
And my god, look at this one's mustache! That is intense. If mustaches indicate power, this guy must be the final boss. He! Talks! In exclamatory dialogue!
'I am very aggravated by this!' Ha. Ha.
So apparently, only a Moe Angel can accomplish this task! Also, this music is pretty cool. Flonne sneaks around the Nethercastle like some Solid Snake pro, and stops to Contemplate Our Navels. Or at least hers. Get on with it!
Laharl gets on with it... I-wait, that came out wrong.
Laharl interrupts her in his usual fashion. She soon leaves after bumbling that she's an assassin. Laharl calls for Etna, and they make the assassin their top priority.
