Everyone goes under, and it's raining in Dream World. Subtle plan is not currently very subtle at all.
And it gets derailed almost instantly as a train rams their car, and a bunch of PMC-type guys start shooting shit up.
This is not at all what previous extractions were like, leading me to wonder what the fuck is going on. Which is good for a suspense movie.
Saito's wounded, they've succeeded in abducting Fischer. We learn that Cobb's sales pitch at the beginning was something extractors actually do. The PMC guys were part of Fischer's subconscious defense.
Oh, by the way, spoiler alert.
And now they're so heavily sedated that if any of them die in the dream, they get sucked into Cobb's subconscious and his murderous memories of his wife.
And we learn that Cobb really did do an inception on his wife, and that may have caused her to have a breakdown and commit suicide?
Eames impersonates Fischer's godfather, and goes to work setting the first part of the idea into motion, while Ariadne takes Cobb to task for his subconscious fucking up the plan and risking all of their sanities.
Have I mentioned that I love this movie so far?
Cobb talks about building a whole world with his wife for fifty years. His wife gave up on the real world, then became convinced that she was actually still dreaming, and here's the suicide flashback and I'm really uncomfortable watching this scene, but that's a good thing.
The smashed hotel room was to make it look like he killed her. And as soon as the explanation is done with, and Ariadne gives Cobb the instructions on how to deal with his shit, they get ready to move to the next level.
HAVE I MENTIONED THAT I LIKE THIS FUCKING MOVIE?
First, though, a gunfight.
