ROOK: After setting missions, I hung out at DJ Candy's some more.

JUSTICE: Kid, this group you sent me isn't gonna have the wits to go face-to-face with my old buddies. These bikers are tough, kid. Tough like nails dipped in tar.

ROXIE: Thanks for helping me, Rook. I know the idea of a snack thief loose in the HQ must disturb you as much as it does me!

DJ CANDY: Hey, this is quite an eclectic bunch of test subjec- err, I mean, partyers you sent me. Looks like they're no strangers to paranormal phenomena. Good, very good, OK, time to hook up the electrodes and get 'em out on the dance floor!

(Rook smirks.)

CHAZ: What's up, Rook? I hear your squad is ready to come up with some new moves. I doubt they can give 110%, let alone the 150% that we need. But okay, let's see what they've got.

JUSTICE: Your crew decided to confront Rock Gunheim directly! Gunheim has promised to reveal his spying methods, but only if your agents beat him in a biker challenge...in the form of a desert motorcycle race!

LEAF: Elves don't really belong in the desert, chief, but this elf lookd awesome on a motorcycle! I am rock incarnate!

BEEBEE: My, this Chaz is quite the athlete! And such a gentleman...

ROOK: That's... debatable.

CARL: If I get one more request to do "The Zombie", I think I'm gonna be sick. I can do other dances, you know!!!

LYNDSAY: Don't worry, Rook, this thief can't have gotten far! We'll tear this place apart to find him...or her.

MIKE: The open road feels incredible after all those years cooped up in the temple! If only my little friends from the temple could see me now!

CHAZ: OK, hotshot. Your squad says they have a couple different ways to start my new trick. Which do you think we should go with?

ROOK: I pick trampoline skydiving over robotic bear wrestling.

DJ CANDY: The experiment is on schedule, though we had a minor delay when your team suddenly developed pyrokinetic powers. Good thing Sapphire had an extra case of her energy drink to douse the flames...

ROOK: Also good that her energy drink didn't turn out to be a good accelerant.

SPENCER: Hyah! Spencer the Bold has entered the fray, upon his trusty steed Wheelsworth! Zoom!

JUSTICE: The last trial is ahead of your agents - the ascent up Doomkill Mountain! Things at this point tend to get a little...underhanded. Your agents have radioed in for advice - should they play this straight, or cheat?

ROOK: I say play fair.

CHAZ: You may have something there. I could jump onto a trampoline...while it was falling! And then bounce off it after it hits the ground!! OK, that sounds like something to work with!

ROSALYN: Shouldn't these kids be in school or something? Don't they have homework?

ROOK: ...Shouldn't you be, I don't know, here?

ROXIE: I just put a mint chip ice cream sandwich in the freezer. We'll only have one shot at protecting this valuable snack. How do you want to handle this?

ROOK: I choose camera surveillance over fingerprinting.

JUSTICE: With their full focus on winning the race, and not on cheating, it looks like your agents are really rocking it out there! I think we've got a chance at this!

ROXIE: Well, my ice cream sandwich went missing again, and the camera footage only captured our own agents. This must have been an inside job!

PRESTON: There was this one time I was snowboarding, and I did a backflip... at least, I hired someone to do it for me. Much safer.

DJ CANDY: OK, Rook, we've narrowed it down to two possibilities: should I mix low frequency delta brainwaves into the bass line, or splice high frequency gamma brainwaves on the treble?

Hmm, I always forget which works, and end up guessing.

ROOK: Yeah, I can see that. Let's go with gamma.

JUSTICE: Your agents were victorious in defeating my old buddies in the biker challenge! Gunheim has revealed how he was stealing my tattoo designs: a secret camera in my shop! You're a life-saver, Rook!

ROOK: I'm more of a Tic-Tac girl. Ha!

...Are you all right, Rook?

ROOK: Never better! Why?

...I'm not sure.

ROOK: Well, when you accept certain things, it's kinda... freeing, you know?

MAKOTO: ...Logic processors inform me that the thief is among us... the thief could even be... me?! Identity error 104...

CHAZ: Yeah, Rook, your team is completely insane. I love it! They're really inspiring me with all their crazy ideas. I think we'll have something in time for the X-Po! Oh, and can I borrow your jet?

DJ CANDY: Alright, gamma waves. Zack has set the output to 40,000 watts. ...Hmm, I'm not hearing anything. Wait, I think I hear a buzzing sound... Aggh! Bees! The gamma waves attract bees! Run!

ROOK: Huh. Is that the failure one, then?

I... don't know. It might be. I don't remember this one, though. I guess I've always picked delta and it put them to sleep.

ROOK: Oh well. If it fails, we try again, right? Even if it seems illogical that there should... bee... a second chance.

You seem strangely unconcerned.

ROOK: Like I said, when you accept certain things...

(What's this? A picture of Wolfah parachuting into a tank full of sharks? Chaz!!!)

VIC: Oh man, I am sooo ready to hit the dance floor, Rook! I stayed up all night practicing on Polka Beat Revolution — on Survival Mode no less!

ROXIE: I'm at my wit's end! We're going to have to interview everyone in the building to find this ice cream thief!

CHAZ: We did it! It's perfect! A 720-Triple-Inverted-Rising-Grapefruit with a quarter-twist! And I shall call it...The Chaz!!! Oh, your guys helped, I guess. Thanks.

DJ CANDY: Success! We've created music you have to dance to! As soon as you hear it, your arms and legs just go nuts!! Ooh, wait...this will make really bad driving music...

ROOK: I went back to HQ and watched Roxie.

TRAVIS: Oh yeah, my phone tells me there's a Buddy's ice cream parlor within a couple miles of here. Sweet!

ROOK: Good one, Travis!

ROXIE: We've found the culprit! Buddy was eating my ice cream sandwiches because he thought they had his name on them. That's what I get for buying them at Buddy's Ice Cream Parlor!

JENNY: I should have known that Buddy was Roxie's snack thief. Think she'd mind if I ate some of her ice cream?

ROOK: I'd say ask first.

JENNY: Noted. And here's a figurine of her, a bee hat, tech goggles, and a bee pillow. DJ Candy was pleased with the creation of music that moves you. Ugh, sounds like my worst nightmare. But here's a trophy of the club kids, and some trendy clubwear. I'm afraid to ask what a Grapefruit Trick is, but Chaz seemed pleased with the results of the extremest case. He sent you these rewards: an extreme stunt outfit, a workout bench, and a Chaz action figure. I can't believe the team won a desert bike race. Poetic justice, I guess. Get it? Here — Justice wanted you to have these: a set of night vision goggles with headset microphone, and a Justice figurine.

ROOK: Wow, I think I'll go check out the shelves.

ROOK: I did so. The top row had been full for a while, with trophies of the horn, the fortunite crystal, the Nightmare Crown, the yeti boot, a disco ball, and the town statue. The second and third shelves were almost full, and there was an empty space probably big enough for two more trophies. I figure I'll be filling them up soon! Notably, while I already had a figurine of Jenny, Buddy, and Roxie together, with the addition of the Roxie trophy, I now had a figurine for each of them separately. I hope we find that last mission by doing these...

And that's the final tally, I suppose. As I've said time and time again, this was fun. I rather enjoyed how every agent had a different, interesting remark or choice to make on the missions. If you wanted to see them all, you'd probably have to play the game quite a few times. You'd even have to avoid doing most 1-star missions until you unlocked agents from the end of the game...probably too much of a hassle for any sane individual.

One last thing. Any plans for the rest of the My Sims series? I ask because I've got a copy of the original My Sims that I've been trying to find the time to play, and I would hate to barge in on your territory.

Oh, yeah. One thing that you can do is not take on any missions (other than the required "Deploy!") until after you come back from the temple, then just do missions. You definitely would have to do it a few times, especially for all the agents you have to unlock with other missions. I guess you'd keep track of who you've used on which.

Well, my next plan is to start My Sims Kingdom when this is done. I have no particular plans to do the original My Sims. I started doing it once, but abandoned it. I'll probably watch yours if you end up doing it.

Oh, I forgot to mention the part where you save after you come back, then just play from that save, and never save while you're doing missions, so you can do that mission with a different group.
