Rook stands around while handling dispatch missions, Part 2: Or does she?

ROOK: I fired Lyndsay, Annie, Carl, Wolfah, and Magellan, and hired Beebee, Leaf, Preston, Travis, and Zoe. Then I put Beebee, Pinky, and Renée on the 3rd floor, Leaf, Wendalyn, and Violet on the 2nd floor, Preston, Skullfinder, and Zoe on the 1st floor, and Mike, Spencer, and Travis in the basement. After some redecoration, I set the top floor to find missing bugs, the 2nd to find out what's going on with the forest, the 1st floor to catch a snake, the basement to dealing with the blade... and myself to go watch Travis. I went back to Main Street.

PETAL: Thanks for the quick response, Rook! This team you sent seems to really be in tune with the forest. I look forward to working with them.

LIBERTY: Wow, these guys look like they're naturals at snake catching! Thanks for sending them out to help me, Rook.

STAR: I eagerly await the dispatch of your agents to the Crescent Moon Village. What? You already sent them? The fools! They must have gotten lost in the woods. I'll have to go find them.

GERTRUDE: Looks like everybody's here. Now, let's go bug hunting!

LEAF: Petal says I have to get rid of my hot tub in the forest. She thinks it might be causing the forest to die! Should I actually dismantle it or just move it somewhere else and hide it?

ROOK: I tell him to hide it. Speaking of hiding, I stand around in the pizza place to see if Travis will come through the door while he's supposedly hunting a blade.

PRESTON: Oh, for goodness sake, Rook, why are you sending me on this giant venomous snake-catching mission? Do I really have that bad of karma?

ROOK: I'll admit, I don't know how karma supposedly works. Especially here...

MIKE: When faced with ninjas you must be ever vigilant. They're crafty... like coconuts!

Yeah, they might use a Quivering Palm technique.

ROOK: ...

LEAF: Hehe, my hot-tubbing will continue! But I guess it's not really helping the flower and tree situation.

LIBERTY: Hi Rook. We haven't caught Mr. Venom yet, but we're hot on his trail! I just heard lots of screaming people nearby, so we must be getting close. Ooooo, I do hope he's ok!

STAR: We are proceeding to the last known location of the Dark Tree Clan's village. Their ninjas tried to ambush us, but your team handled the attack with great valor.

BEEBEE: Um, yeah, Rook, I'm not too sure about this. can't we look for something cuter?

ROOK: At least I didn't send her to look for snakes, like her boyfriend. Is. Looking for.

VIOLET: I don't understand what the problem is. The flowers and trees died. Doesn't that make this forest better?

SKULLFINDER: A giant venomous snake? This isn't some poorly-disguised attempt on my life, is it? I'll have you know, Rook, that my will clearly states that not one penny of the Skullfinder fortune will be left to you if some kind of "accident" happens to me while under your employ.

SPENCER: Yes! Thanks for letting me go on this one, Rook. Ninjas are the natural enemies of us paladins.

PETAL: After making some careful measurements, it seems that the forest is slowly heating up and that this is causing the plants and trees to become distressed and sickly. What can we do?

LIBERTY: Hmm, we haven't found Mr. Venom yet, and I bet he's getting hungry by now. His favorite food is chocolate-covered walrus, so should we check the pet shop or the candy store.

ROOK: If pet stores are selling walruses, that's probably a federal matter. I'm going with candy store.

STAR: We've located the Blade of Destiny in the village of the Dark Tree Clan. We're going in. I expect nothing less than complete success.

WENDALYN: I use many forest plants as ingredients for my potions, but these sickly plants won't do at all.

LIBERTY: The owner of the candy store said that a giant snake slithered in and ate all the chocolate in the store! Mr. Venom always gets sleepy after a lot of chocolate, so now he'll be easier to catch!

TRAVIS: Don't worry, Rook, I just downloaded a ninja-detector app for my phone. NinjaDetector v3.1 to the rescue!

GERTRUDE: Wow, this team is so comfortable around nature! We're hearing some buzzing sounds that seem be coming from an old oak tree up ahead. It looks like we're on the right track!

PETAL: Your team wants to do something drastic to attempt to reverse the healing process. We can either plant new trees and flowers of send someone underground with a giant ice cube. Which should we do?

ROOK: I tell her to give ice a chance.

ZOE: Ah chere, I sense a snake nearby. And a giraffe. And...an elephant? Oops, my bad. We just passed the city zoo. Nevermind!

STAR: We've done it! The Blade of Destiny has been recovered. Your agents will be returning to your HQ shortly. You have my deepest gratitude.

ROOK: I returned to HQ.

JENNY: The team actually stole back the legendary Blade of Destiny from a ninja village for Star? Wow, that gives me a great idea for a Starcruiser X story...

ROOK: Official or unofficial?

JENNY: Um, er... hey, you can recruit Star now, if you can find her. A-and you have a new sofa with 3 Athletic.

ROOK: Sure.

At least you're not recruiting Buchu, eh?

ROOK: Yeah.

PETAL: Your crazy ice cube plan actually worked! The ground will remain cool enough to give us time to formulate a long-term plan.

LIBERTY: Yay! We found Mr. Venom! Who would've thought that he was in the basement of Gino's cafe all this time? Funny, Mr. Venom never liked pizza before. Gino must be using a new kind of cheese or something. Anyway, thanks for your help, Rook. If you need me for anything, just let me know!

JENNY: Liberty is ecstatic that your found her snake. And now she wants to join our squad! And you now have a chair with 2 Smarts.

PINKY: I didn't like bugs before, but Gertrude says there are some kinds that are actually blue. Blue bugs! How cool is that?

PETAL: With the help of your team, we were able to form the Petal Protocol, which has us all cutting back on our energy use. This should have my forest back to full health in no time! Thanks, Rook! I couldn't have done it without your team.

JENNY: Way to go, eco-team! Petal seemed pretty pleased about you saving her forest and all. Oh, and she sent along some kinda reward. First, you can now recruit her. Next, you have a campfire for 2 Nature and 1 Athletic. Finally, jungle paint!

GERTRUDE: We're doing our best to catch all the insects, and everyone is really hustling. What a great crew!

RENÉE: I don't know I just dopn't think insects are as cute as piggies and kitties. Although, crabs are kinda cute...

GERTRUDE: All my little guys are safe, back in their little houses. Isn't it wonderful? Time for the ant tea party!

JENNY: Ick, the team found Gertrude's bugs. Well, at least she was grateful... You got a telescope with 2 Smarts and 1 Paranormal, and a garden gnome with 2 Charismatic and 1 Smarts.

LIBERTY: Hi, I'm Liberty! I'd make a good agent because I study really hard and I come with my own sidekick: Mr. Venom. Oh, and I heard you hired Travis...is he still there?

3 Nature, 2 Charismatic.

PETAL: Greetings, Rook. Despite what you may have heard, elves are not "all about rocking out." Many of us are proud champions of nature!

5 Nature.

STAR: Rook, your agency is impressive but lacks one critical thing: jutsus. You need to hire a ninja like me. I've got mad jutsus!

1 Paranormal, 4 Athletic.

So, Mr. Venom was in the Pizza Place all along? ...Where Rook was situated to see if Travis was slacking off on the job? Talk about coincidences...

Anyways, it looks like things are going well for you, and I wish you the best of luck...especially with what I think would be an interesting challenge. If you experience utter failure, feel free to switch people up, but I'd like to see if these guys will actually pull off stuff they only have a little skill at.

Gonk Need Food, Badly - Annie, Beebee, Magellan (1 A each, though Magellan has 3 N) Tainted Broth - Star, Elmira, Mike (1 P each) What's the F? - Lyndsay, Liberty, Leaf (2 or less C each...hey, they all have 'L' at the start of their name! Neat!) F, Robot - Carl, Agent Vic, Zoe (1 S each)
