Chapter 45: An Anniversery Of Sorts
Enough fooling around Free Haven, let's roll out. A new zone awaits us...and hoo boy, is this one going to be a doozy.

We take the carriage from Free Haven to Castle Ironfist. From there, we head west through the swamps...but those are just the outskirts. The deepest, darkest swamp lies ahead.

Welcome to the Mire of the Damned.

As befits the name, the place is swarming with undead. Mostly skeletons (as from the Temple of Baa), and some ghosts (as from Corlagon's Estate) are here to greet us. And that's not taking the harpies into account yet...yeah.

Using the Fly spell and some semi-deft maneuvering (game engine limitations, folks), we evade the ghosts and skeletons and kill them off. Fireballs do wonders on tight groups here, so we took advantage of that.

We fight our way to the northwest, back onto the main road and a tavern. In the process, we discover I forgot to sell off items...grrr. After clearing the skeletons out from around the place, we take a rest there quite cheaply...understandable, given the location. Future business owners, take note: setting up shop in an undead-filled bog is not a bright idea.

As of now, it is January 3rd, 1166. Over a whole year of game time passed since this adventure began. How sweet. To celebrate, let's bring out some numbers!

But first, an apology. I made an error on the 2nd Data Report, and incorrectly listed Cate as level 7 instead of 14. Whoopsie!

No errors this time, I think. I hope. Oh whatever, here you go.

Character Data Report 3
